"I’m a 21-year-old male. Using Rinvoq since 13 months, no side effects, no complaints. All the pain and stiffness from ankylosing spondylitis disappeared… First diagnosed with AS in September 2020, came a long way with sulfasalazine 2000 mg, prednisolone 25 mg, methotrexate, but nothing worked for me. My wrist, knee, hip all swollen, neck can’t move, pain and stiffness very high. Then, the next option, which was prescribed, Simponi (Golimumab). After 5 injections, nothing improved. I almost can’t walk or stand due to high pain and stiffness. Finally, Rinvoq, it’s the turning point of my life. Within 1 week, I got my life back. No pain, no stiffness, all the swollen joints back to normal. I’m taking only Rinvoq now, no other drugs. Rinvoq is an amazing drug, it’s working for me without any side effects."

"I started taking Rinvoq as part of a clinical research study and noticeably felt better within weeks of taking this medication. I had stabbing pain in my SI joints when I was walking, standing, or sitting. Severe stiffness in my hips and my spine felt like it had been inflated prior to medication. Rinvoq helped reduce the inflammation, making it less painful to move and function. I have experienced no side effects from the medication through my 2 years of taking 15mg tablets. It is easy to use, in a once daily pill form. The cost is overwhelming but I have been able to qualify for manufacturer discounts through a specialty pharmacy. This medication has changed my life for the better!"

"I have tried Enbrel, Humira, methotrexate, etc., and finally Rinvoq. At first, I had a positive response and started to feel much better, but then after 8-10 weeks, the 3-4+ pitting edema became unbearable, and the shortness of breath was downright frightening, coupled with total exhaustion. I was unable to maintain my daily routine and functioning. I had all of the signs and symptoms of congestive heart failure. It finally got to the point that I had such labored breathing my cardiologist and others were very concerned - and this was two weeks post-stopping Rinvoq. My afib was having a field day, and I felt awful all of the time. At this point, I am three weeks out from stopping the Rinvoq and am wondering how long this will continue until my system has cleared this medication. It is black-boxed for cardiac, amongst other things, and this warning should be seriously taken under consideration before starting this medication. I felt like I was dying - think long and hard before you take it."

"I have been on Rinvoq for 5 months. I noticed relief as soon as 4 weeks on this medication and I have continued to slowly get better and better. I'm hoping and praying it continues to work for me. My only complaint is a lot of depression, which is something I have never experienced in my whole life and I am 58 years old, so I'm certain it is Rinvoq. The only reason I have been determined to tolerate it is because I have gotten such good relief from the symptoms of ankylosing spondylitis."

"Within one day, I felt less pain and less stiffness. I can finally walk, and walking the stairs and standing up from a chair is much easier now! It works really fast. Before starting Rinvoq, I had a huge flare-up of AS and Crohn's disease (IBD). I could barely walk. Do others also have mood drops after taking this med? Feeling jittery, sad, almost depressed. I tapered down my dosage to one pill every two days to measure the side effects. Both times, my mood dropped. If it continues, I'll have to switch to another drug. Depression is a no-go for me."

"I have gotten sick regularly with this drug. It helped my arthritis, but I stopped taking it for 3 days when I started to get a fever and night sweats. After three days of stopping the medication, my arthritis came back with a vengeance, and I started taking it again even though I was sick. I still have back pain and joint pain."

"This drug has been a lifesaver. I was in so much pain I could hardly walk. Between the back pain and the pain in both knees, I was going crazy. I'm finally on my way to healing. I thank God my doctor put me on Rinvoq."

"I have HLA-B27 marker. Been on Sulfasalazine, Enbrel, and Cimzia during the last 15 years. During the last few years, the pain had become unbearable. My rheumatologist suggested RINVOQ. Been on it for the last four weeks. Pain has now become bearable and feel much, much better the way I used to feel a few years back. I do not know of its long-term impact, but am happy with it now."

"I was on TNF blockers, and after a while, they stopped working. I switched to Rinvoq, and I've been much happier. I still have stiffness and pain, but on a way smaller scale than before. It went from an 8 down to a 4, which makes me happy. I did have a shingles problem which is clearing up. I also had a plugged tear duct problem. I had to have it drained four times. The other thing is I'm really tired, but I'm not sure if it's the medication or stress from work. I've been slowly losing weight, but I'm able to walk and exercise, so I think it's from that more than the medication. Overall, I'm really happy with it."

"I have only been on this medicine for 6 weeks. I think it will take longer to tell if it's working. I do have really bad nausea every day, I am hoping the nausea will go away. I have headaches but not severe."

"Few side effects, the acne part bothers me. I can't figure out why this happens, but some say it's really a yeast infection. It works great on AS, IBS issues, and joint pain. Miracle drug, but I have to stop it around surgeries, so it is up and down."

"It helped with the pain in the lower back and helped with mobility. Did not help with the eyes. It makes you tired, dizzy, and the headache is sometimes hard to control. I always needed to take NSAID with it."

"My inflammation was very high. Rinvoq took the inflammation down to a reasonable level, not as low as Humira did before I had to stop taking it. I get a lot of brain fog with it."
