Ubrelvy (ubrogepant) for Migraine "Wow, it’s crazy how these reviews are either amazing or horrible. My experience with 100 mg Ubrelvy has been amazing. It completely knocks out my migraines. I still feel groggy and fuzzy, but this works so well for the pain! Give it a shot."

Ubrelvy (ubrogepant) for Migraine "This medication, Ubrelvy, is absolutely TERRIBLE! Beware! I took 50 mg the first time, and it did absolutely nothing for me. Went back to my neurologist, and they gave me 100 mg to try. After I took it, I got so dizzy and sleepy I actually got into a terrible car accident. I didn’t realize how sedated and dizzy this med can make you."

Ubrelvy (ubrogepant) for Migraine "I have only taken this once after receiving a sample from my neurologist. After having a headache for 8 days that did not respond to several other medications and a nerve block, I tried this. It put me in a stupor for hours, but my headache went away. I’m still pretty nervous about taking such a new drug, but it seems to help."

Ubrelvy (ubrogepant) for Migraine "For more than thirty years, I have rarely had more than one migraine a month, usually a week before my period. Excedrin Migraine occasionally helped lessen the severity of my symptoms (nausea, intestinal distress, fatigue, light and smell sensitivity, and, of course, the feeling of a drill going through one side of my head). Recently, I began experiencing weekly migraines. After a month and a half, I asked my doctor for an Rx for Ubrelvy, which I’d heard about on TV. The next time I started to feel migraine symptoms, I took the lowest dose, one pill. An hour later, I felt a bit groggy and postdromish, but the migraine was gone. For me, truly a miracle. I have used it for three subsequent migraines, all with the same result. This is the best thing that has ever happened to me, medically speaking. Maybe it only works well for people like me, who don’t get migraines as often."

Ubrelvy (ubrogepant) for Migraine "I've had success with Ubrelvy. I find if I take it as soon as I feel pain, it works quickly. I once took it too late, and it took hours to get pain-free, and the nausea was intense. Otherwise, it just makes me really sleepy (a welcome side effect because typically the pain is so severe I cannot sleep). My insurance denied coverage for this, but my neurologist was able to get me a year's supply. Not sure what I'll do after the year is up."

Ubrelvy (ubrogepant) for Migraine "Made my boyfriend fall asleep instantly. When he woke up two hours later, he still had a bad migraine with the new addition of excessive sleepiness. This pill will put you to BED. And it did nothing for his head."

Ubrelvy (ubrogepant) for Migraine "I love Ubrelvy. Grateful for this new drug. Got rid of my migraines each time—though it does take longer to kick in than triptans (sometimes 1-2-3 hours). Makes me drowsy, but I do not mind it because my migraines happened at night. I am thrilled with not having to worry about the possible serious cardiovascular/stroke side effects that accompany triptans."

Ubrelvy (ubrogepant) for Migraine "Ubrelvy 100 mg works amazing for me. Sumatriptan didn’t touch my migraines and made me feel super drowsy and foggy. Similar experience with Nurtec, which made me nauseated and sleepy. Oftentimes, my migraine is gone in less than 20 minutes after taking Ubrelvy. I’m so glad to have something that works and doesn’t give me side effects!"

Ubrelvy (ubrogepant) for Migraine "I used to be on triptans that worked great for me, first sumatriptan, then rizatriptan, and out of nowhere, both stopped working for me, so I switched to Ubrelvy. I definitely think there is an adjustment period with this medication, I did not like it at first, but now I don’t have any of the side effects I first had when I started to take it… sleepiness, brain fog, weird chest pain. It does make my migraines worse before it makes them better, but once the headache is gone, it’s gone. I never have to take more than 1, and it typically relieves the migraine in 2 hours. For anyone who liked triptans and they stopped working for them, I definitely recommend."

Ubrelvy (ubrogepant) for Migraine "I have had migraines since 1984. Had/done every scan, MRI, food journal, emotional journal, tried birth control pills, etc. You name it, I've tried it. First-gen Imitrex gave me chest pains so that class of drugs was out. Jump ahead to when Ubrelvy came out. What a game-changer! I'm very grateful for this new class of CGRP interrupters. I take a 100 mg tablet at the very onset of the migraine, and 98% of the time (within two hours), it takes care of it. Every now and then, I will have to take another dose, but that hasn't happened in a while. The only thing that could be considered a side effect that I personally have experienced is drowsiness. Not sure if it was truly caused by the meds or if it was the headache, though. Sign up with the drug maker to get a discount on your co-pay. If you have migraines and nothing else has worked for you, please try Ubrelvy. It has been a game-changer for me!"

Ubrelvy (ubrogepant) for Migraine "Ubrelvy has been a game changer for me. Within 2 hours of taking one, my headaches are completely gone with no drowsiness. I only wish that this had been around for the past 20 years of migraines! I’m so thankful for Ubrelvy."

Ubrelvy (ubrogepant) for Migraine "I have had chronic migraines for 13 years. I have been under the care of a great pain specialist and tried numerous preventatives, blockers, pain medication, oils, food regimes, Zomig, Amovig, Maxalt, Treximet, occipital nerve blocks, ablations, etc. I am always willing to try anything new. My doctor told me to try this. Insurance was a pain, but I finally used the card that gives you a pill for $1.00! My prescription was for 100 mg. I took one 100 mg, and I had already taken everything I normally use hours before, with it not stopping the pain cycle. I finally gave in and took it about 10:30 PM, and by midnight I could tell the pain was subsiding. I woke throughout the night realizing the pain was getting better minute by minute. At 6 AM when I woke up for work, the pain was totally gone. A little side effect of drowsiness. Nothing else. I did take a Zofran several hours earlier, so that may have been in my system to help that possible side effect. I will definitely use it again!"

Ubrelvy (ubrogepant) for Migraine "This medicine has truly saved me. I had tried many other meds (mostly ones that ended in “triptan”), and they never worked, so I was always running to the ER to get a migraine cocktail. It’s long lasting and gets rid of the throbbing pain in my neck, eyes, and temples. My only two gripes I have about it are that it normally takes about two hours to kick in, so it’s really hard on the days when I wake up with an already bad migraine. And the other issue is it doesn’t completely rid me of the tightness in my shoulders, neck, and head. I’ll still feel just a tad of a headache after it kicks in, especially if I lay down, it tends to feel better standing. But I’ll take a slight headache over a full-blown crying in my dark bedroom with an ice pack on my head migraine any day!!! Other than that, this medication has been a godsend for me, with my only slight side effect being drowsiness."

Ubrelvy (ubrogepant) for Migraine "I have had migraines for over 40 years, becoming chronic in my 30s. Disabling in my 40s. I have hemiplegic, hormone-triggered, weather-triggered, and had cluster for 5 years. Nothing ever helped. I can't do triptans due to serotonin syndrome. I have been on topiramate, lamotrigine, and work with barely any help. The topiramate destroyed my memory, both long and short term, I finally had to stop taking it. Then the neuro had me try Ubrelvy 50 mg. It made a dent... although it put me to sleep. But I have to sleep off the migraine anyway, no matter what I do. I was taking Ubre at onset and one an hour later. Then we went to 100 mg. It has been better. I don't have digestive issues from it like some people. I still have to take 200 mg to get rid of it, though. It also seems to stop my night sweats as soon as I take it when the migraine wakes me. I am now doing the Ajovy shot once a month and using Ubrelvy for emerging migraines. So much better... although they never truly go away, do they?"
