Triamcinolone topical for Psoriasis "Been fighting psoriasis for over 40 years. Topical creams and ointments only slow the progress. I have tried it all: Remicade, methotrexate, Enbrel, Hira, and Otezla (the last one made me shut-in due to severe diarrhea). I have also used UV light, coal products for years, ointments, creams, soaking baths with Dead Sea salts, oatmeal, and Epsom salt. The only thing that gives me relief is cortisone injections. My last doctor used 1 cc of Depomedrol and 1 cc of Kenalog (40 mg/cc). I was good for 4 - 6 months, and major eruptions would clear in about 7 days. But then it stopped almost immediately. My doctor retired recently, and my new younger doctor thinks that is unethical. So now I am looking for a doctor who is a little more experienced. Already lost a knee to psoriatic arthritis. Want to limit it to that."

Triamcinolone topical for Atopic Dermatitis "This injection is amazing for major flare-ups that are not controllable by atopic cream. I had a shot a year ago, and it cleared up my skin completely within 4 days. I stayed clear for a year exactly before my next flare-up, and I went back for this same injection. Highly recommend for relief and the embarrassment of the flare-ups."

Triamcinolone topical for Aphthous Ulcer "This is incredible. I get a lot of mouth ulcers due to the medication I'm on, and Kenalog clears them up instantly (well, overnight). My mouth will go from being in so much pain I can barely talk to completely fine in the space of hours."

Triamcinolone topical for Psoriasis "I find Kenalog injection is the ONLY thing that works on my hands and feet that has an insatiable severe itch. Within about a week and a half after the injection, the lesions stop and my hands/feet start to heal. I've taken everything from methotrexate up to Stelara - nothing has worked! I'm almost 50 and have had psoriasis since I was 5."

For Eczema "I'm diagnosed with eczema; for about 10 years, I have suffered from this condition. Now my eczema is very severe. I have it on my hands and my scalp. I have used a variety of creams for my hands, and the dermatologists have prescribed me triamcinolone acetonide, and I love it because nothing worked as great as this ointment. I usually get very dry skin, to the point where it splits and it itches. This ointment is a great product. I really recommend it. Mine just finished, but I have not been able to get a new one since we are going through this difficult time (COVID-19); there is no way for me to get a new prescription. Dermatologists are not seeing patients."

Triamcinolone topical for Psoriasis "I have had psoriatic plaques for nearly 17 years. The itch can sometimes be insane, and as I'm sure many here would at least imagine, it has caused me to take drastic actions to quell it. The only way I have explained it is that the itch is well below the skin, and the thick plaques make it impossible to reach. I love getting the injections for two reasons. First, as many have said, it quiets outbreaks faster and more efficiently than almost anything I've ever used. Second, and I know this may sound weird, but having that sharp needle press into itchy skin feels incredible. Then followed by the medicine (Kenalog) saturating the itchy area. I get it every four months."

For Eczema "So good! I always seem to get rashes on the sides of my neck. I apply the cream to the affected areas at night, wake up, and it's almost completely gone! If I apply it just once more that night and wake up, my rash is completely gone! Definitely recommend this cream to anyone suffering with eczema or random rashes appearing on their skin!"

Triamcinolone topical for Psoriasis "I have severe psoriasis on my palms. The itch is so uncomfortable, it feels like fire ants going nuts under the thick layers of leathery skin. My hands were constantly cracked and bleeding due to the uncontrollable scratching. I’ve tried every cream and ointment known to mankind, as I’ve had this condition for the past 18 years. I’ve also tried UV light therapy, Methotrexate, and 2 biologics. Nothing has helped in the slightest. I recently found a dermatologist who gave me Kenalog injections and finally some relief! I had about 20 injections in each palm, which wasn’t exactly pleasant, but man was it worth it! A few days later, I was finally itch-free! I was told the effects will last for 3-6 months, then I’ll have to get another round. Fine by me, I’ll do this forever if need be!"

For Atopic Dermatitis "I've used this ointment for years for poison ivy, and it works great. I'm always getting poison ivy (I live in the middle of the woods), but I know I've got this medicine at home, so I'm not ultra paranoid about it. Better than anything else I've tried."

For Atopic Dermatitis "I had been to several dermatologists, all gave different diagnoses and different medications. None of them helped. I decided showing up at the emergency room couldn't hurt (last straw). So the doctor prescribed me this medication. Within minutes of applying, it went to work beautifully. The redness disappeared, and the blemishes started clearing within days. I had suffered for years with a skin problem so severe that I rarely left the house. Thank God for this ER doctor who prescribed this for me."

For Eczema "I used the 0.1% cream twice a day for a week, and it helped clear up eczema on my inner elbows and backs of my knees. The itching and bumpiness still resurfaces every once in a while, but a thin application of the cream overnight will clear it quickly."

For Eczema "Been using this for years, I have eczema on my eyelids. Usually, after day two, it's as though I never had a problem. I was told not to use it for longer than 10 consecutive days because thinning skin may occur. It clears it up quickly."

Triamcinolone topical for Atopic Dermatitis "I got this shot after my hands turned unrecognizable from pain and eczema. I struggle with this all the time in every season. I could not believe how much Kenalog helped me. It erased all signs of eczema in a little over a week. I went back to the doctor just to THANK her for this. I would give it a 10, but it's not perfect. It began to come back (though not nearly as severe) about six weeks later. It will definitely get you over the uncontrollable outbreaks."

Triamcinolone topical for Aphthous Ulcer "Not regularly available in the Netherlands, I knew it from childhood abroad. It really gets you rid of painful aphthous ulcers in your mouth in a couple of days. A colleague who had been suffering this for years without relief, and whom I advised this, was very happy to finally be relieved of her agonies."

Triamcinolone topical for Atopic Dermatitis "I was diagnosed with eczema. When I scratched, the skin just rolled off. Underneath was red, bloody, raw skin. The scales would heal over it, but the skin underneath was raw. My feet and body swelled. The tropicals only made my rashes itch and dried them more. Finally, I found a doctor who prescribed Kenalog 10. I had stopped being able to wear shoes or heels. Anything that bound my feet swelled, and it itched for hours. The Kenalog 10 almost immediately stopped these reactions. After about 3 weeks, the itching was barely there. My skin began to heal. My doctor gave me injections once every 6 weeks. After a month and a half, I could wear shoes again, and my skin was clear. I had to change my doctor. My new doctor wouldn't give me the injections. It's been about two years since I have stopped the injections. My eczema has spread, and I am constantly itching, scratching off the new scaly skin until it bleeds. I haven't been able to find a doctor who will give me the medicine."

Triamcinolone topical for Dermatitis "This cream cleared up places on my hands and left foot that had gotten so bad they hurt. My doctor prescribed this, and within 3 or 4 days my foot was almost completely well, and my hands were greatly improved! I would highly recommend trying this cream if your doctor agrees."

For Eczema "This one works. I've had eczema all my life, and the outbreaks seem to come in clusters then calm down. I'm postmenopausal now, and I must say, they've been worse in the past two years than they have been since I was in the midst of my pubescent years. That said, this medicine works. It calls for three applications daily, but I don't have to use it that often. The spots clear up with two applications daily and in just a few days. It has helped quite a bit, and in a short amount of time."

For Psoriasis "This stuff did nothing for my psoriasis. My doctor just kept giving it to me for over 4 months, and it just got worse and worse. Beware, if your doctor gives you the ointment, it will permanently stain your sheets and clothes. Ask for the cream, if you use this, my doctor says it doesn't stick as well, but it won't ruin your things."

For Eczema "Triamcinolone did clear the eczema on my neck in about a week. However, after using it for 2 weeks, like my doctor prescribed, I developed perioral dermatitis (PD). I guess I was transferring it to my face inadvertently. I would've rather lived with my eczema than develop PD. If you use this, be extra careful that you don't transfer it to your face in any way. I'd ask for something weaker/non-steroidal if your eczema is mild."

For Atopic Dermatitis "The triamcinolone ointment was prescribed because I had been diagnosed with contact dermatitis on my foot and leg. They believe it was caused by the cast I was wearing because I broke my left ankle. I'm also a diabetic and insulin-dependent for 32 years. The ointment has been very helpful for my skin condition. I have experienced some side effects such as slight burning and itching sensations, but they went away after the 3rd or 4th day of use. My skin is starting to dry out, and the dead dry skin is starting to fall off. The dermatitis also spread to my hands, thighs, forearms, and buttocks. I have been applying the ointment to all affected areas. It seems to be helping. I would recommend this ointment for contact dermatitis treatment."

For Eczema "I’ve been using triamcinolone for two weeks, and I’m still itching. I called my dermatologist this week, and they told me that it takes about four weeks to help. Why does it take so long for triamcinolone to work? I’m itching like crazy and have tried everything I can find with moisturizer, but it doesn’t help much. What will help? I asked the doctor to call in something called Eursica, and he wouldn’t prescribe it."

For Atopic Dermatitis "I've had an annoying, extremely itchy rash on my ankle. Wearing boots or high socks triggered a massive itch all the time. Even while sleeping, if I had my ankle on the sheet, I'd wake up severely itchy. I tried everything over the counter and a few prescribed products. My doctor prescribed me the cream, and the itching went away in an instant! After four years of agony, it finally stopped itching! The rash itself hasn't gone away yet, but at least it isn't looking gnarly and gross from extensive itching anymore! This stuff is amazing!!!"

For Atopic Dermatitis "It really is the only thing that has worked for me. The downside is that it's prescription only, and my doctor doesn't want to keep giving it to me. I guess it's supposed to be bad for you in long-term use. A shame because I have tried every cream and ointment available over the counter, and nothing worked. This did."

For Dermatitis "For over 12 years, I suffered from dermatitis on my backside (which was severe enough to be mistaken as a 'surgical scar' by one doctor and his staff). One day, my 'Pain Management' doctor observed it and prescribed 'Triamcinolone cream'. One single application, and the rest is history. No more itch, burn, or sting. Thank you, doctor, and thank you, triamcinolone."
