"I have suffered extensively with bad psoriasis over the past 12 years, and recently, I was prescribed (UK) Protopic. DANG! It's my miracle cream!! Even the worst psoriasis can disappear within days. £9.80 :)))"

For Atopic Dermatitis "Was prescribed this cream after suffering with really bad eczema on my face. After a week, my eczema went away but started getting really bad acne, which I’ve never had before. It also made my skin tingle and burn. It works, but the side effects aren’t worth it."

"I was prescribed this after dealing with a significant case of dermatitis caused by a retinoid. The first application went on great, only a slight warm feeling. I went to wash it off the next morning, and my face turned bright tomato red, even using cool water. This has happened every time for a week and still hasn’t stopped. I’ve been instructed to stop the Protopic because my dermatologist doesn’t know why I’m responding in that way. The only positive is that the previous peeling and flaking have stopped, but I think I could have solved that with just Vaseline."

"Protopic 0.1% cleared up the scales around my waistline and the stubborn patches on the bottom of my back, between my buttocks, also on my elbows. The only drawback was the itching on my face and especially my eyebrows where I didn't even use the ointment. Also, stiffness in my muscles. It was worth it for the week I had used the ointment. I used it twice a day, once in the morning and then once in the evening. I just have to use Silcocks Base 3 to 4 times a day."

For Atopic Dermatitis "I've been using Protopic for two weeks for my eczema on my feet. Steroid creams stopped working and made the skin very thin. After being prescribed Protopic 0.1%, the first day was crazy itchy and couldn't sleep. But after the next day, I applied it again in the same spot, and it wasn't itchy anymore. My weeping eczema started to clear up miraculously. I had a few drinks one night, and everything went nuts, a burning itch where my eczema was, and it started up the flare all over again! I obviously cannot even have a small amount of alcohol while using Protopic. Overall, the best results out of any skin ointment for eczema. Let's hope after not drinking for a while, I can get a handle on this relapse."

For Atopic Dermatitis "I was given this by my dermatologist for my eczema. Was not told it would burn or that it had a black box for cancer. Said it was safe to use on eyelid eczema. Now I have the droopiest and swollen eyelids because of it. The areas where Protopic were used also have increased flakiness and are prone to breakdowns."

For Atopic Dermatitis "I'm in the UK and retired now, so all of my meds are free. I'd suffered with red, sore patches on my face for years and occasionally used steroid cream to alleviate things, knowing it was not the best thing to do. I was referred to a dermatologist at the hospital, and she put me on Protopic 0.1 to be used once a day for a week to see how I got on with it. Like other people have said, for a few days my face felt hot, but the results after 3 days were amazing! I now use the ointment for a couple of days if I get a flare-up, and it works like magic."

For Perioral Dermatitis "Works great on some areas. Inverse area where there is sensitive skin, like armpits, groin. Maybe it might work if it didn’t cause an unbearable itch and burning, causing more damage."
