For Atrial Fibrillation "I was diagnosed with HCOM (Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy) about 5 years ago. I was on metoprolol 100 mg twice a day. Then I had 2 AFib episodes about 1 1/2 years ago. I was in the hospital for 2 weeks to monitor the condition. They switched me to sotalol and kept increasing the dose till 120 mg twice a day. Which is what I need. So I've been on sotalol for the last 1 1/2 years. I have side effects all the time, such as very low energy, always feel like you've just been hit by a bus, and I'm only a 36-year-old male. I have to say that I have lost myself because of the conditions and side effects of the drug. But medically and physically, I'm functioning thanks to this drug. You need a very positive outlook and good family support, otherwise, this drug will make you depressed easily."

For Ventricular Arrhythmia "When I first started taking 80 mg a day, I felt better, but after a month, it's ruining my life. Constant headaches, constant nausea. Diarrhea, extreme dizziness, weakness, headaches, depression, probably from all these negative side effects. This drug literally just sucks the life right out of me. Very unhappy me! I'm so sad!"
For Atrial Fibrillation "Was prescribed this for Atrial Fibrillation. After ONE dose, I experienced: light-headedness, nausea, dizziness, chest pain, fast heart rate, high blood pressure, severe depression, slightly blurred vision, fatigue, anxiety, heart missing a beat often. At the time of writing, it's three days after my one dose (I stopped it immediately) and am still encountering some of the above side-effects. I am on no other medications, nor have I been."
