Solifenacin for Urinary Frequency "I am only 26 and was going to the bathroom every hour, and sometimes every half an hour during the day. I took VESIcare for 7 months and saw a decent decrease in the number of trips to the bathroom. However, I was often constipated, bloated, had a headache, and experienced a change in eye prescription. I stopped taking the medication and switched to another. It took 6 months before my eye prescription stabilized to where it had originally been before VESIcare."

Solifenacin for Overactive Bladder "Been using 10 mg VESIcare for just over a year now. (Upped from 5 mg after 5 months.) Brilliant drug for me and my overactive bladder. Only noted side effect was a slightly dry mouth. But hey, no more pads or wee dances on the school run. Been asked to take a 'drug holiday' by my GP and well... it's been 10 days now, 7 of them with the worst headache ever. About a million pairs of clean knickers have been needed and an unhappy 'hello again' to the old friend Tena. Sat here writing a review just after midnight as needed to get up for a wee yet again. Suppose I best get back into the habits of dehydrating before I go anywhere, never passing up the opportunity of a free toilet and say goodbye to those pretty knickers for a while. Soooooo hoping I can go back on them soon."

Solifenacin for Urinary Frequency "My doctor wanted me to switch from Detrol LA to VESIcare to see if it controlled overactive bladder better. For a couple of days, it seemed to. I was going less often, and the flow was strong. Then the VESIcare started irritating my prostate, and I felt discomfort and/or burning much of the time. I took an OTC painkiller to ease that, and it helped somewhat. Then, after about 2 weeks' use, I started getting mild headaches and severe neck pain. It felt as though I had been bitten by a wasp, but the pain didn't subside like an insect bite. The pain was in the nerves, not deep in the muscle. I also developed dry mouth early on. I am stopping taking the VESIcare and will return to the Detrol LA, which never caused a problem."

Solifenacin for Urinary Incontinence "I started taking 5 mg 2 months ago, and by the 2nd night, I had my first dry night in months, and even on the first night, it was significantly better. It has completely changed my life. Unfortunately, in this last week, I have had 2 episodes of incontinence and have become concerned that I might need to increase the dose. Initially, I had dry eyes, blurred vision, headache, and some nausea, but this settled. I am left with blurred vision sometimes. I willingly put up with the side effects, as the alternative is untenable."

Solifenacin for Urinary Incontinence "I tried the medication first with the other medications given to me by my doctor. Then I tried it while off the other medicines. Both times I got totally debilitating headaches. They affected both the head and the stomach. I have given it all the chances I am willing to give."

Solifenacin for Urinary Incontinence "I want to give this a 0. VESIcare worked amazing for the first few days - my bladder felt 'strong,' and pelvic floor exercises were actually fun and easy to do (my bladder seemed to want me to do them). However, after only a week, the drug stopped working at all. I gave it a 6- to 7-month trial period, put on 5- to 6 kgs of excess weight without explanation. The product also gave me severe headaches, dry mouth, and was useless. After going off of it, I lost the weight without any change to diet in about 3 months (thank Gaawwwwdddd). Too scared to get a bladder sling, still thinking about that one. No other options now other than to go wee-wee all the way home in my Icon undies and use a pad when peeing myself really cannot be tolerated any longer. I am in a safe/normal weight range, healthy and fit; humiliating."

Solifenacin for Urinary Frequency "Caused dry mouth, headaches, weight gain, and pain in lower back. Now seeing a physio as my back hurts so much. I'm on 10 mg a day. Within one month, running to the toilet was normalized, and I slept all night without needing to get up numerous times. Someone else mentioned the effect on eyesight. I have experienced this too but hadn't thought to link it to the drugs."

Solifenacin for Urinary Frequency "My experience with this drug wasn't pleasant. I got completely blocked after 5 days of taking the pills and was unable to do both number 1 and 2. Even my period was late, which does not normally happen. I ended up in an emergency room with severe stomach pains. The other side effects, such as lack of concentration, tiredness, and headache, were easy to deal with, it is just a matter of getting used to them. I would have stayed on those pills because I felt less need to urinate than I used to, which finally has given me relief, however, I had no other choice but to stop taking them and take pills to help me move the urine and bowel motion out of my body."

Solifenacin for Urinary Frequency "I took this medication. Within 3 days, I had an extreme headache, my left arm was numb, and I woke up to my body feeling hot. I started feeling spasms in my lower left bottom and leg. Pain in my left leg and flu-like symptoms."

Solifenacin for Urinary Frequency "Besides the high cost, the effectiveness of this medication is diminished due to the side effects. I started on this medication for nine days and stopped. Constipation was the primary side effect almost on the first day, the worst I ever had, in addition to abdominal pain, slight headache, and bloating. My doctor did warn me about the side effects."

Solifenacin for Urinary Incontinence "Do not take if you have high blood pressure. It shot mine through the roof... 215/135. Please monitor your BP. Other than that, it did help the urinary incontinence when I stand up. I did not leak very much at all. The headaches associated with the increased blood pressure were unbearable. The dryness in my sinuses was annoying but manageable."

For Urinary Frequency "3 days in on 10 mg per day, bloodshot, dry and sore eyes, vision problems, dry mouth, severe headaches, nausea, constipation, flu-like symptoms, helped with frequency, but I'd rather pee every 1/2 hour than feel like this :(("

Solifenacin for Urinary Incontinence "I've had stress urinary incontinence for over 2 years and never considered taking meds, pissed myself like every week and never slept good because it made me wake up like 2 or 3 times a night, plus having pain in my bladder. Started taking VESIcare 5 ml 5 months ago. Honestly, it's really good. I started seeing changes since the first month. I piss myself rarely now and don't wake up at night, maybe just once a night. I'll continue using it for 5 more months, maybe more. The only bad thing is the side effects, which are so annoying to me: really bad constipation, blurred vision, stomach pain, bad headaches, bad drowsiness, and fatigue, which affects my life because it makes me unable to do anything in my day, plus dryness. Me and my doctor still can't figure out the reason because it started when I was only 15. But anyways, it's a good med, just bad side effects."

For Urinary Incontinence "I have been taking solifenacin for 2 days. It totally helped my dripping and nighttime visits to the bathroom, but I realized also that my head felt funny. My head felt not like a regular headache but like a migraine headache, with the back of my neck feeling stiff and hard. I never had this feeling with Vesicare 10 mg. Solifenacin succinate 10 mg tablets took care of my urinary problem better than Vesicare 10 mg tablets. No leakage problems with solifenacin, but those side effects were just horrible. I will try to finish this 30-day trial period of solifenacin due to a medical insurance demand. Just hoping my body will adjust to this medication soon. Hoping also that the headaches will disappear. Remedy for the headache problem: took a 240 mg aspirin tablet and gave my temples a massage to get rid of the pounding headache last night. Praying that those head issues will not come back. I will stop taking this medication ASAP if the headaches return. Did anyone else experience this?"
