"I sat out on a journey to lose weight in January 2023. I am a heart patient, and I was weighing 220 lbs for the first time in my life. I started in the beginning, I had lots of nausea and vomiting as I went through the different doses. It wasn’t until I got to the highest dose that I really saw the change in my body weight. The weight just slid off. I lost a total of 100 lbs. I definitely changed my diet: high protein, grilled veggies, and fruit. I will say it changed my taste buds. Salty things were overwhelming to me while on Wegovy, and so was sugar. I can’t eat cheese at all without getting sick. But I feel better. My heart is doing well, and my lipids are finally in the normal range. This medication helped save my life, and I feel so blessed. Good luck on your new journey, and don’t be afraid to ask your doctor for nausea meds, it helps a lot."

"I'm almost 2 meters long, and when I started, I was more than 157 kg. Within 11 weeks, I lost 22 kg. Almost every week, I lost 1.5 kg and more after the big water loss. For me, it's an addition to the bigger plan. Yes, I use Wegovy (now on 1 mg), but I also go to the gym 5 times a week and add some hour-long walks to my day. And yes, I also have a strict timeframe where I have my meals. And yes, they are mostly veggies and some yogurt with some granola for some fiber. I had some side effects like heartburn, burping, constipation, and I'm more tired than before. But I think that's a normal thing to process, especially when you make the transition. If you are seriously overweight, please consider this medicine as a small part of the bigger plan!"

"I am having an overall good experience. I did not feel the medication kick in until 2 weeks after I started the .5 mg dose. Then after that, I started losing more weight. I had one injector not work correctly, so I contacted the company, and they sent me a voucher to get it replaced. However, by the time I got that voucher, I was onto the next dose. In addition to that, the pharmacy will not give you one injector. They have to give you a whole box, so I didn’t need a whole box of my previous dose. I’m not happy with my digital coaching experience, I feel like it’s an AI robot. The bulk text is addressed to me but always comes at one minute past the hour. They are never personable, nor do they ask you how it’s going this week. From what I’ve read on Reddit, people are generally not happy with the live coaching either, so that really needs to be beefed up by Wegovy. I'm really feeling a reduction in “food noise” in my head."

"I've realized that Wegovy isn't just a weight loss medicine, it's way more than that! I'm pre-diabetic, and I couldn't function on a daily basis! Tired, body hurts, and just felt horrible! I'm on the 2nd week, I'm 6 pounds down, no side effects, and I feel wonderful! I definitely needed the insulin!"

"I have been on Wegovy for 4 1/2 months, and I have lost a total of 37 lbs. I still have the nausea, but it is usually the 2 days after my shot, then by the 3rd day, I only get nauseous if I eat too much. I was wearing a 4x/w26 size, now I'm wearing a 2x/w22, and that size is getting big. My problem is I have a hard time finding the time to exercise. I know I need to, at least for the toning and firming. Keep with it, this stuff works if you use it correctly."

"I'm 60 years old, started taking Wegovy for weight loss, high blood pressure, high cholesterol. I’ve been on the medication now for 10 weeks. My starting weight was 296. Currently, I weigh 266, and my numbers are great. The cons are I only feel good 4 days a week. The first 3 days after the injection are tough: nausea, headaches. But as far as I’m concerned, it works great. I’m not hungry at all. I feel much better. Another added bonus for me was I was a heavy drinker. On this medication, I have no desire to drink at all. I went from 5 cases a week to absolutely nothing. I don’t miss it at all. Miracle drug."

"3 weeks and I ended up in the ED with severe GERD and unable to use the bathroom. As I'm typing, my chest, throat, and head are hurting. I am not an obese person but needed it for cholesterol and pre-diabetic issues. Waiting for my next batch, but honestly, I'm in so much discomfort. I eat little at a time but drink a lot of water. Right now, I might go without meds for one more week, so not sure if I will continue. My body aches."

"I started on Wegovy on the 1st of June 2023. My weight was 109.7 kg. I started losing 1-2 kg per week at the start. Afterwards, the loss was more between 0.2-0.7 kg. I did not attend the gym or do exercises last year. I have started going to the gym now. My weight now in August 2024 is 73 kg. I have not experienced any side effects besides constipation. The plan is that after the end of August, I will start going down on the dosage and will fully stop taking it at the end of this year. My doctor told me that some of her other patients who have fully stopped it have managed to keep their weight by regularly exercising and by continuing to eat healthy, not overeating."

"I started June 11, 2024, at 194 lbs. At 1 month, lost 10 lbs. At 7 weeks, am down 17 lbs. I've tried to lose this weight for over a year now. I am a 59-year-old female at 5’4”. The first shot had a little upset stomach for a day or two, but not bad. I would highly recommend this drug. First time I have had hope to reach my goal weight."

"I started Wegovy about 17 months ago. I really had no bad symptoms, however, due to availability, I had to stay on a few of the doses for a couple of months at a time. I am now at the highest dose, and this one and the one before did cause a little nausea, but it goes away. I started at 320 lbs, I am now down to 210 lbs. My goal was to lose half of me, so I'm still working on the last 50 lbs, averaging 2 to 5 lbs a month or so, sometimes more. So good luck to you all. I feel so much better now, I can breathe, I can walk, and do so many more things now. It truly changed my life."

"I have taken 1 dose of the 0.25 mg. Tomorrow I will be taking my 2nd dose. So it has been 6 days for me. I have already lost 4 lbs. I was very nauseated and had some heartburn the first 24 hours after I took the dose. It got better with Pepto-Bismol and Tums. I didn't really get sick after that day. I don't have an appetite at all. I eat enough to keep me healthy, no more. I have gotten mild nausea once when I ate some chocolate chip cookies, but no nausea with healthy foods like fruit and veggies. I haven't done much exercise either."

"I started on 0.25 Wegovy. The injections are painless and easy to administer. For the 4 weeks, I took this dose, I felt fine with little side effects. I lost 3 lbs. I then moved onto 0.5 dose. I took the dose on a Friday and woke in the middle of the night with terrible sudden reflux and vomiting. This happened for 3 nights. I took my next 0.5 dose the following Friday and the same happened, along with dizziness, constant nausea, and very low mood. I have decided not to take the last 2 injections I have left as I just feel so poorly."

"I am 58, have IBS-D, no gallbladder, GERD, and am 60 lbs overweight. This is my second attempt at taking Wegovy. The first attempt was disastrous! I didn't make it through the first week before I was hit with diarrhea, nausea, acid reflux, dizziness, cramps, and had headaches. I missed four days of work and went to ER twice. The doctor did tell me to stop taking this, but I honestly did not think it was the Wegovy (I had not done any research on side effects). Once I got back to my normal state of digestive issues, I became proactive. I started back on Wegovy (.25 lowest dose) 6 weeks ago, but now I take a dose of Pepto-Bismol daily (twice a day the day of and day after the shot) and I take an OTC daily antacid. I still get mild side effects (nausea, headache, and fatigue) the day after the shot or if I overeat. I have not lost any weight at this dose so I am going up to the .5 dose next week. As others have said - everyone will react to this med differently."

"I’m on the starter dose 0.25 mg. I have had zero side effects. Mild nausea in a car - not sure if related? No real appetite, but I am able to eat. No food aversions, but no cravings. I didn’t want a glass of wine after work. My clothes already feel different after 2 weeks. I’m so thankful to be on this journey as my primary did not support me asking for help losing weight. I do not overeat or have issues with food. I had a fractured knee, then a hip replacement, and then two fractured ankles. I was unable to move normally for 2.5 years and gained about 50 lbs. The weight gain brought on joint pain, trouble breathing, sleep apnea, afib, raised blood pressure, and cholesterol. Hopefully in 6 months, I will be down 40-50 lbs."

"I was 182lbs and have been on Wegovy for about 4 months. I am now 168lbs. I was quite nauseous at the start and found that by eating a mouthful of plain bread helped with the nausea. I have also bern quite tired and although not constipated, my poops are firmer."

"Started with 0.25mg, very easy, full instructions, separate pens for each dose increment, so foolproof. The nausea started within a couple of hours of the first injection, over the first month the nausea was pretty constant all day but eased off after around 5 days so 2 days with minimum nausea, however within 1 hour of 0.5mg dose nausea was worse and no let up, was actually sick on 1 day and felt like I would be sick in the second week. After 2 weeks on 0.5mg decided I could not continue to feel unwell ongoing. Weight loss was minimal, less than 1lb per week with 'careful' eating choices although not fully dieting but think you have to be very determined to tolerate the nausea."

"I have been on Wegovy now for 4 full weeks. I have lost 9 lbs. I have had 0 side effects. No headaches, no nausea, nothing. I am drinking lots of water and high-protein foods and daily vitamins. I was moved from 0.25 to the 0.50 and today was my 1st injection of the higher dose. So far, still no ill effects. I have more energy and not only can I feel the physical difference, I can see it too. This is a miracle drug. Be back in 30 days."

"Started Wegovy on May 11th at 0.25. I'm on my 4th injection of 0.5 and moving up to 1.0 next week. Started at 228 lbs. I'm down to 213. No side effects. I have to eat a small dinner and not too close to bedtime or I get heartburn. Slow and steady wins the race. Wegovy is the most effective appetite suppressant I have ever used, and best of all, no jitters or sleeplessness."

"Started my journey 6/10/2024. It is currently 6/25/2024 and I took my 3rd shot last night. No weight loss yet but my appetite for food has completely died down. I will feel full for most of the day after eating two boiled eggs for breakfast although now I eat them for lunch bc I’m not hungry in the morning. No side effects so far, one more shot of 0.25 left then I will start the 0.5. Hopefully weight will start going down, I have always had issues losing pounds no matter how little I ate. I am 5 1, female, 37 bmi and 204 pounds. Wishing y'all and myself luck. If you’re afraid of taking your first shot, don’t be. It is virtually painless and most people don’t have side effects. I think it’s worth a shot for sure. I’ll keep y'all posted, update in a month."

"I have been on Wegovy for 5 months. I have nothing but good things to say about it. I have lost almost 50 lbs and it has given me my life back. I was overweight and depressed for years after having my last child. The only side effect I have had is some occasional constipation. This medication is amazing!"

"I'm a male, 52, 5'7, 234 lbs, and 40-inch waist. I have been on Wegovy for 5 months now. It has been very easy to give myself the shot once a week, and I barely even feel it. I have dropped to 185 lbs, with a 32-inch waist. Started with 0.5 mg and now on 1.7 mg. I have no side effects except for some heartburn. From day one, my appetite has slowly gone down. I eat less than 1500 calories a day and exercise daily at the gym for 45 minutes. Wegovy is absolutely wonderful and has changed my life forever. Also, my A1C was always over 6.0, and now it's 5.3, still going down. I will stay on Wegovy for the rest of my life. This has been a life changer for me!"

"I started the 0.25 on April 1 at 158 lbs. Moved up to the 0.5 after 4 weeks. Today is June 14th, and I am down to 141. Down 17 pounds in 8 weeks. Sometimes the days are rough, but the side effects occur depending on how poorly you eat. I'm going to stay on the 0.5 for another 4 weeks since I am having great success. I will up the dosage if I plateau."

"I have been on 0.25 of Wegovy for 2 weeks. No appetite change, feel fuller slightly sooner. No side effects but also no weight loss. I have been eating right and I am a cleaner, so I am moving around all day. Disappointed really considering how much it costs! Expected at least 3-4 lbs off. Switching to Monjaro today, which is a higher dose!"
