"I started the Wegovy shots 2 weeks ago. So far, the side effects I have are blurring. I don't crave anything. It is working for me."

"I’m on the starter dose 0.25 mg. I have had zero side effects. Mild nausea in a car - not sure if related? No real appetite, but I am able to eat. No food aversions, but no cravings. I didn’t want a glass of wine after work. My clothes already feel different after 2 weeks. I’m so thankful to be on this journey as my primary did not support me asking for help losing weight. I do not overeat or have issues with food. I had a fractured knee, then a hip replacement, and then two fractured ankles. I was unable to move normally for 2.5 years and gained about 50 lbs. The weight gain brought on joint pain, trouble breathing, sleep apnea, afib, raised blood pressure, and cholesterol. Hopefully in 6 months, I will be down 40-50 lbs."

"I was 182 lbs and have been on Wegovy for about 4 months. I am now 168 lbs. I was quite nauseous at the start and found that by eating a mouthful of plain bread helped with the nausea. I have also been quite tired and although not constipated, my poops are firmer."

"Started with 0.25mg, very easy, full instructions, separate pens for each dose increment, so foolproof. The nausea started within a couple of hours of the first injection, over the first month the nausea was pretty constant all day but eased off after around 5 days so 2 days with minimum nausea, however within 1 hour of 0.5mg dose nausea was worse and no let up, was actually sick on 1 day and felt like I would be sick in the second week. After 2 weeks on 0.5mg decided I could not continue to feel unwell ongoing. Weight loss was minimal, less than 1lb per week with 'careful' eating choices although not fully dieting but think you have to be very determined to tolerate the nausea."

"I have been on Wegovy now for 4 full weeks. I have lost 9 lbs. I have had 0 side effects. No headaches, no nausea, nothing. I am drinking lots of water and high-protein foods and daily vitamins. I was moved from 0.25 to the 0.50 and today was my 1st injection of the higher dose. So far, still no ill effects. I have more energy and not only can I feel the physical difference, I can see it too. This is a miracle drug. Be back in 30 days."

"Started Wegovy on May 11th at 0.25. I'm on my 4th injection of 0.5 and moving up to 1.0 next week. Started at 228 lbs. I'm down to 213. No side effects. I have to eat a small dinner and not too close to bedtime or I get heartburn. Slow and steady wins the race. Wegovy is the most effective appetite suppressant I have ever used, and best of all, no jitters or sleeplessness."

"Started my journey 6/10/2024. It is currently 6/25/2024, and I took my 3rd shot last night. No weight loss yet, but my appetite for food has completely died down. I will feel full for most of the day after eating two boiled eggs for breakfast, although now I eat them for lunch because I’m not hungry in the morning. No side effects so far, one more shot of 0.25 left, then I will start the 0.5. Hopefully, weight will start going down, I have always had issues losing pounds no matter how little I ate. I am 5'1", female, 37 BMI, and 204 pounds. Wishing y'all and myself luck. If you’re afraid of taking your first shot, don’t be. It is virtually painless, and most people don’t have side effects. I think it’s worth a shot for sure. I’ll keep y'all posted, update in a month."

"I have been on Wegovy for 5 months. I have nothing but good things to say about it. I have lost almost 50 lbs and it has given me my life back. I was overweight and depressed for years after having my last child. The only side effect I have had is some occasional constipation. This medication is amazing!"

"I'm a male, 52, 5'7, 234 lbs, and 40-inch waist. I have been on Wegovy for 5 months now. It has been very easy to give myself the shot once a week, and I barely even feel it. I have dropped to 185 lbs, with a 32-inch waist. Started with 0.5 mg and now on 1.7 mg. I have no side effects except for some heartburn. From day one, my appetite has slowly gone down. I eat less than 1500 calories a day and exercise daily at the gym for 45 minutes. Wegovy is absolutely wonderful and has changed my life forever. Also, my A1C was always over 6.0, and now it's 5.3, still going down. I will stay on Wegovy for the rest of my life. This has been a life changer for me!"

"I started the 0.25 on April 1 at 158 lbs. Moved up to the 0.5 after 4 weeks. Today is June 14th, and I am down to 141. Down 17 pounds in 8 weeks. Sometimes the days are rough, but the side effects occur depending on how poorly you eat. I'm going to stay on the 0.5 for another 4 weeks since I am having great success. I will up the dosage if I plateau."

"I have been on 0.25 of Wegovy for 2 weeks. No appetite change, feel fuller slightly sooner. No side effects but also no weight loss. I have been eating right and I am a cleaner, so I am moving around all day. Disappointed really considering how much it costs! Expected at least 3-4 lbs off. Switching to Monjaro today, which is a higher dose!"

"I've been on Wegovy since April. I'm down 19 pounds. Very few side effects. My cravings for sweets have gone. I never think about food. It's like I forget to eat. Water is the key, I drink a lot of water. Smart water works the best for me. I have always struggled with weight loss. Wegovy is my go-to. It's a game changer and it really works. I have other health issues, and I hope in time Wegovy will help with them as well. Talk to your doctor, do the research. I did, and I'm glad I did. Good luck to all."

"Tuesday was the second shot. So far, no headaches, just upset stomach now and then. I really like that it takes all hunger away. Now I just focus on eating healthy and much less. I'm a 60-year-old man, started at 293 lbs. Tuesday, before the shot, I weighed 283. I feel better when I drink water, which I drink at least 10 bottles a day. Eat more fruit and veggies."

"Well today I’ve taken my second needle. I think it’s working great. No side effects as of yet, feeling good, not eating much food. Bonus! I hope this works for me, just retired and put more weight on."

"This is my 1st injection. I have to say it was much harder to give myself the injection than I thought it would be. I'm not afraid of needles, but for some reason, doing it myself was difficult. But, after my internal battle, I finally did it and it was painless and super easy. Not even a drop of blood. Still too early for side effects, but I will keep everyone posted as I progress. Let our journey begin. Good luck guys! We got this!"

"First dose 0.25mg, had slight stomach pain/discomfort. Later that same night, my appetite disappeared. Just seeing a fast-food commercial on TV made me feel nauseous. I thought if that's the worst of the side effects that affect me, then I'll be very happy with that. By the next day, stomach pain and nausea increased. By 4:00 am, BAM! Diarrhea, severe stomach pain, projectile vomiting, headache, chest pain, severe itching mainly on the palms of my hands and arms. I truly thought 'this must be what it feels like to be poisoned!' I was scared. It is now the next day and I feel fine. A little tired from lack of sleep from feeling so sick. I think I will do my second dose next week...but I'm quite nervous of a repeat of feeling like I was dying from the stomach pains and vomiting. Will I continue with this drug?...jury is still out! On the positive side, I've already lost 5 pounds; but of course, I can't & don't want to eat, too much nausea and vomiting."

"This is the first week at the 1mg dose, I lost 8 pounds last week. Before this, I was too scared to get on the scales, but I can feel I have lost significant weight. I have reduced appetite and cravings for sweet things that started almost immediately upon starting the drug. The only side effects I have had were, around week 3, constipation and trapped wind that caused waves of stomach pain for a few days. In the UK, you are supposed to be able to get this on the NHS if your BMI is over a certain level with associated health issues. However, no funding has been provided, so I am paying around £150-200 per month. This is offset by reduced food costs and alcohol costs that make it almost pay for itself."

"First few weeks, appetite started to fall away. Lost 6 lb, then the sickness started - nausea, bloating, and stomach pain. Certain foods make this worse, and the nausea is daily now. On week 6 and down 9 lb, going to keep going unless this gets worse. It's like being pregnant again!"

"Personally, I would recommend Wegovy to anyone struggling with weight loss. I'm 6 months in, a 41-year-old man. My starting weight was 14 stone 9.5 lb, and I'm currently 13 stone 2.5 lb. I'll start with the negatives: 1. Cost - this is very expensive, especially at the top dose, which is what you'll likely stay on for the longest. 2. Side effects - everyone is different, for me, it was indigestion and occasional nausea, but it's been perfectly manageable and worth it considering the benefits of the weight loss. The positives: I rarely feel hungry, I often have to force myself to eat. My portion sizes are much smaller, and I no longer go for sweet treats before bed. I haven't altered my diet at all, I still eat unhealthy food when I want, just less of it, and less frequently, so I don't struggle with cravings for foods that I'm not allowed."

"I started Wegovy on 1/31/2023 at 224 lbs. As of today, 5/2/2024, I am at 154 lbs. I have had minimal side effects. I do not have cravings and no longer do I think about what I am going to eat next. I work out 3-4 days a week but did that prior to starting Wegovy. On 0.25, I lost 6 lbs. On 0.5, I lost 3 lbs. In the first 4 weeks of 1.0, I lost 6 lbs. In the second 4 weeks, I lost 3 lbs. In my first 4 weeks of 1.7, I lost 7 lbs and in my second 4 weeks, I lost 2 lbs. I started 2.4 on 7/17/2023, and on that, I have lost 39 lbs. Some weeks the weight loss was larger than others, but there was always weight loss. I have no complaints and would recommend anyone to speak to their doctor if they are interested. We are all different, and for some people, it works and for some, it does not. Some people have terrible side effects, and some don't."

"Started Wegovy 11 weeks ago (just had my last dose of 1mg pen) and have lost 9 lbs. I felt at first it didn’t do much but gradually by upping the dose felt my cravings and want for fatty foods has hugely decreased. The “food noise” was very real to me, now I never finish a meal and just don’t have the interest in food like I previously did. It’s much more convenient being a weekly injection and as someone who hates needles, it really is nothing to worry about. In terms of side effects, from week two I have suffered from sulphur burps (disgusting eggy smell) and excessive gas/belching. The day after my injection, I feel fatigued, so changed my injection day so it landed on a weekend, so I wasn’t at work and this worked well. I only feel sick if I overeat and at the start had some cramps on and off which have totally disappeared now. One week off upping to 1.7mg and other than sulphur burps, it really is amazing, the key I believe is patience, the side effects are worth it."

"I have been on Wegovy for about 8 months. My weight has dropped about 40 lbs. In the beginning, I did have upset stomach on occasion and found there are a few things I could not eat or drink anymore, but my blood pressure is a lot better. I feel good about myself. I don't need to lose any more weight. I am walking a mile a day, using my weights every morning, and I don't drink much alcohol anymore, not that I am saying I was an over drinker, but because of the calories and some of it doesn't taste good anymore. It has helped me eat better, rethink about how much I eat, and be healthier. My old clothes that didn't fit are now fitting, and I have a whole new wardrobe to go through."

"At age 57, I was 6'3'' and approaching 235 lbs. I was in the overweight BMI category but eligible because I take blood pressure medications (HCZ & Losartan). While 180-200 lbs is where I'm supposed to be according to my BMI, I am active, work out, and muscular. I thought 200-210 was more realistic. I went from 235 to 206, losing about 1-2 lbs a week. I went from 0.25 dose all the way up to 2.4 dose. I saw no additional improvement going from the 1.7 dose to 2.4 dose and decided to back down to 1.7 dose for maintenance because 2.4 dose was causing difficulty with bowel movements. I still have some difficulty with bowel movements, notice an increase in gas, and occasionally get light-headed while working out. But I am very happy with my results."

"I have been on Wegovy for 2 months. No weight loss. Still hungry. I have been nauseated at times, and it’s been depressing because I haven’t lost any weight. Need to increase my water intake, though, and I’m about to start a higher dosage, so I’ll definitely keep you all posted."

"I am 58, have IBS-D, no gallbladder, GERD, and am 60 lbs overweight. This is my second attempt at taking Wegovy. The first attempt was disastrous! I didn't make it through the first week before I was hit with diarrhea, nausea, acid reflux, dizziness, cramps, and had headaches. I missed four days of work and went to ER twice. The doctor did tell me to stop taking this, but I honestly did not think it was the Wegovy (I had not done any research on side effects). Once I got back to my normal state of digestive issues, I became proactive. I started back on Wegovy (.25 lowest dose) 6 weeks ago, but now I take a dose of Pepto-Bismol daily (twice a day the day of and day after the shot) and I take an OTC daily antacid. I still get mild side effects (nausea, headache, and fatigue) the day after the shot or if I overeat. I have not lost any weight at this dose so I am going up to the .5 dose next week. As others have said - everyone will react to this med differently."
