"I've been on Wegovy since April. I'm down 19 pounds. Very few side effects. My cravings for sweets have gone. I never think about food. It's like I forget to eat. Water is the key, I drink a lot of water. Smart water works the best for me. I have always struggled with weight loss. Wegovy is my go-to. It's a game changer and it really works. I have other health issues, and I hope in time Wegovy will help with them as well. Talk to your doctor, do the research. I did, and I'm glad I did. Good luck to all."

"Tuesday was the second shot. So far, no headaches, just upset stomach now and then. I really like that it takes all hunger away. Now I just focus on eating healthy and much less. I'm a 60-year-old man, started at 293 lbs. Tuesday, before the shot, I weighed 283. I feel better when I drink water, which I drink at least 10 bottles a day. Eat more fruit and veggies."

"Well today I’ve taken my second needle. I think it’s working great. No side effects as of yet, feeling good, not eating much food. Bonus! I hope this works for me, just retired and put more weight on."

"This is my 1st injection. I have to say it was much harder to give myself the injection than I thought it would be. I'm not afraid of needles, but for some reason, doing it myself was difficult. But, after my internal battle, I finally did it and it was painless and super easy. Not even a drop of blood. Still too early for side effects, but I will keep everyone posted as I progress. Let our journey begin. Good luck guys! We got this!"

"First dose 0.25mg, had slight stomach pain/discomfort. Later that same night, my appetite disappeared. Just seeing a fast-food commercial on TV made me feel nauseous. I thought if that's the worst of the side effects that affect me, then I'll be very happy with that. By the next day, stomach pain and nausea increased. By 4:00 am, BAM! Diarrhea, severe stomach pain, projectile vomiting, headache, chest pain, severe itching mainly on the palms of my hands and arms. I truly thought 'this must be what it feels like to be poisoned!' I was scared. It is now the next day and I feel fine. A little tired from lack of sleep from feeling so sick. I think I will do my second dose next week...but I'm quite nervous of a repeat of feeling like I was dying from the stomach pains and vomiting. Will I continue with this drug?...jury is still out! On the positive side, I've already lost 5 pounds; but of course, I can't & don't want to eat, too much nausea and vomiting."

"This is the first week at the 1mg dose, I lost 8 pounds last week. Before this, I was too scared to get on the scales, but I can feel I have lost significant weight. I have reduced appetite and cravings for sweet things that started almost immediately upon starting the drug. The only side effects I have had were, around week 3, constipation and trapped wind that caused waves of stomach pain for a few days. In the UK, you are supposed to be able to get this on the NHS if your BMI is over a certain level with associated health issues. However, no funding has been provided, so I am paying around £150-200 per month. This is offset by reduced food costs and alcohol costs that make it almost pay for itself."

"First few weeks, appetite started to fall away. Lost 6 lb, then the sickness started - nausea, bloating, and stomach pain. Certain foods make this worse, and the nausea is daily now. On week 6 and down 9 lb, going to keep going unless this gets worse. It's like being pregnant again!"

"Personally, I would recommend Wegovy to anyone struggling with weight loss. I'm 6 months in, a 41-year-old man. My starting weight was 14 stone 9.5 lb, and I'm currently 13 stone 2.5 lb. I'll start with the negatives: 1. Cost - this is very expensive, especially at the top dose, which is what you'll likely stay on for the longest. 2. Side effects - everyone is different, for me, it was indigestion and occasional nausea, but it's been perfectly manageable and worth it considering the benefits of the weight loss. The positives: I rarely feel hungry, I often have to force myself to eat. My portion sizes are much smaller, and I no longer go for sweet treats before bed. I haven't altered my diet at all, I still eat unhealthy food when I want, just less of it, and less frequently, so I don't struggle with cravings for foods that I'm not allowed."

"I started Wegovy on 1/31/2023 at 224 lbs. As of today, 5/2/2024, I am at 154 lbs. I have had minimal side effects. I do not have cravings and no longer do I think about what I am going to eat next. I work out 3-4 days a week but did that prior to starting Wegovy. On 0.25, I lost 6 lbs. On 0.5, I lost 3 lbs. In the first 4 weeks of 1.0, I lost 6 lbs. In the second 4 weeks, I lost 3 lbs. In my first 4 weeks of 1.7, I lost 7 lbs and in my second 4 weeks, I lost 2 lbs. I started 2.4 on 7/17/2023, and on that, I have lost 39 lbs. Some weeks the weight loss was larger than others, but there was always weight loss. I have no complaints and would recommend anyone to speak to their doctor if they are interested. We are all different, and for some people, it works and for some, it does not. Some people have terrible side effects, and some don't."

"Started Wegovy 11 weeks ago (just had my last dose of 1mg pen) and have lost 9 lbs. I felt at first it didn’t do much but gradually by upping the dose felt my cravings and want for fatty foods has hugely decreased. The “food noise” was very real to me, now I never finish a meal and just don’t have the interest in food like I previously did. It’s much more convenient being a weekly injection and as someone who hates needles, it really is nothing to worry about. In terms of side effects, from week two I have suffered from sulphur burps (disgusting eggy smell) and excessive gas/belching. The day after my injection, I feel fatigued, so changed my injection day so it landed on a weekend, so I wasn’t at work and this worked well. I only feel sick if I overeat and at the start had some cramps on and off which have totally disappeared now. One week off upping to 1.7mg and other than sulphur burps, it really is amazing, the key I believe is patience, the side effects are worth it."

"I have been on Wegovy for about 8 months. My weight has dropped about 40 lbs. In the beginning, I did have upset stomach on occasion and found there are a few things I could not eat or drink anymore, but my blood pressure is a lot better. I feel good about myself. I don't need to lose any more weight. I am walking a mile a day, using my weights every morning, and I don't drink much alcohol anymore, not that I am saying I was an over drinker, but because of the calories and some of it doesn't taste good anymore. It has helped me eat better, rethink about how much I eat, and be healthier. My old clothes that didn't fit are now fitting, and I have a whole new wardrobe to go through."

"At age 57, I was 6'3'' and approaching 235 lbs. I was in the overweight BMI category but eligible because I take blood pressure medications (HCZ & Losartan). While 180-200 lbs is where I'm supposed to be according to my BMI, I am active, work out, and muscular. I thought 200-210 was more realistic. I went from 235 to 206, losing about 1-2 lbs a week. I went from 0.25 dose all the way up to 2.4 dose. I saw no additional improvement going from the 1.7 dose to 2.4 dose and decided to back down to 1.7 dose for maintenance because 2.4 dose was causing difficulty with bowel movements. I still have some difficulty with bowel movements, notice an increase in gas, and occasionally get light-headed while working out. But I am very happy with my results."

"I started Wegovy last month. Did all 4 doses of the 0.25 and took my first 0.50 yesterday. The first 0.25 injection I was vomiting and had a headache, but it only lasted one day. No other issues. As far as weight, I am 5'5'' and at my doctor's appointment I weighed my highest ever at 195 lbs! After the 4 doses of the 0.25, I am already down to 180 lbs! I am not exercising. Wegovy cut my appetite so much that I literally had to force myself to eat; I'm not complaining though! So now that I have started on the 0.50, I'm interested in seeing if I continue to drop. 15 lbs is a huge loss in one month on the 0.25 and I know it isn't typical, but it really has been a great experience for me. I will update next month after I take my last dose of the 0.50. I would definitely recommend Wegovy."

"I took my first 0.25 shot of Wegovy 4 days ago. Everything is going great so far. I experience a very small amount of nausea in the morning but it is completely manageable. I have noticed that I am more content throughout the day and my portion sizes have gone down. I have also had a lot more energy and don’t feel so tired all the time. I know that it is very early to really give a review for this medication so this is more directed to those individuals who are nervous or scared to start the medication. I was terrified after reading some of the “bad” reviews but I finally did it. I know we will all have different experiences but it was definitely worth trying in my opinion!"

"4 months in - currently taking 1.7. I get bouts of nausea when I eat too much. My doc prescribed Ondansetron for the nausea which takes care of it very quickly. I've lost 32 pounds in 4 months - no exercise, just the medication and very low intake of carbs and sugar. I do have bouts of constipation often, which also contributes to the nausea. The first 2 weeks were rough, but once your body adjusts to the medication, it's smooth sailing."

"I have been on Wegovy for a year and 3 months and have lost 100 lbs. (started at 289 & 5'7"). I do deal with nausea, but it is controllable with Zofran so I keep that on me at all times. You are in control of how you feel by what you eat and the amount of water that you drink. Protein is key! I have dealt with a B12 deficiency since being on this med as well as hair loss. I deal with chronic pain so working out has never been easy for me. Wegovy has been a game changer and completely changed my life. I went from a 2X to a L in clothing and feel the best that I've ever felt despite the nausea."

"I am a veteran and had to be put on by endocrine dr. in the weight loss clinic. My starting weight was 230 @ 5’1. I wasn’t a candidate for weight loss surgery due to clotting issues. I started on Saxenda and rapidly lost like 20 lbs., but gained it all back. That whole process was like 3-4 months. My endo expected and expects it with the Wegovy. Wegovy: starting weight 230 have been on for idk maybe 8 months. I’m 165. My goal is 140. I had a follow-up with endo today. He said I’ve lost more than any other of his patients on Wegovy and he’s had patients on it for 2+ years. I also haven’t done any exercise except walking my dog every day for 15-60 mins. Side effects? I already had gastroparesis. So I’m used to horrible nausea, but I have it still. Maybe be worse from it. Nothing else."

"I started on 0.25 of Wegovy on 15th December 2023. I weighed 21 stone. I now weigh 18 stone 8lbs (26th February 2024). At the start, I felt nauseated constantly and after about 4 spoonfuls of food, I couldn't eat anymore. I find I no longer enjoy eating at all, and I have to force myself to eat most days. I also can't drink coffee anymore and have no interest in any drink apart from water. When I started 1ml, I was violently ill for the first 4 days and didn't want to continue with injections, but I did (since it's so pricey) and it did calm down. I should move to 1.7ml this week, but my pharmacy (Boots) has none, so I have to stay at 1ml for another month. I'm hoping to stay on Wegovy for another 3 months. I will update next month."

"It has been a year since I have been on Wegovy. I went up to 2.4 by August 1, 2023, and had lost 50 pounds in those six months. The last 6 months, I have not lost any weight. I have not gained but definitely stalled for 6 months. I just went down to 1.7 last week to see if the high dose 2.4 is the reason for the stall. Appetite suppression also stopped at 8 months. No clue what to do, but I will stay on 1.7 for a month to see if it changes the stall. Good luck everyone! I have a whole new life after losing 50 pounds! Life is good!"

"My goal at the start was to lose 2 stone. I started with the 0.25 dose on 20 December. Negligible side effects - very minor nausea, that's all. Already lost a stone between 20 December - 20 January. That is despite the Christmas season. On the first few days after injection, I almost can't look at food or wine, and really only eat to survive. Not at all possible to even contemplate drinking wine or beer. This wanes towards the 5th or 6th day after injection. I'm now on the 1.0 dose and will probably stay on this for a couple more months as I'm close to my end goal - can't believe how effective Wegovy has been. The challenge will be maintaining the weight loss after Wegovy, as I don't intend to be on this for the rest of my life. What's worked for me: I keep active and walk a few miles a few times a week, drink lots of water, aim to eat in small amounts throughout the day rather than two or three large meals, eat lots of vegetables and nuts rather than heavy meals."

"Started taking Wegovy. First month, 0.25 dose. After injection, started with nausea and vomiting. As the week went on, it eased. 2nd and 3rd week were pretty much the same. 4th week had 2 days where I was really ill - vomiting, diarrhea, pains in the tummy. Finally, it went away. In the first 4 weeks, I lost 16lbs. Now on my first week of 0.50 dose, took the first dose of 0.50 as usual. The day after the injection, I got some sickness (vomiting), though it stopped pretty quickly. I guess my body is starting to adjust. It's not an easy journey, but the food I can eat is a lot less - smaller meals, high protein. The tiredness I find difficult. I would say, take supplements like B12 and a multivitamin, and drink plenty of water. This is by no means a quick or easy fix. Some days, it's hard, especially if you get the nausea, vomiting, and tiredness. But the weight loss is steady, so for now, my journey continues. It greatly reduces your appetite and the amount of food, but be warned, if you overeat, there are some nasty side effects."

"I'm a newcomer. Been taking Wegovy for 4 weeks now, lost 4 kilos so far. My problem is my appetite & overeating. Wegovy is a Godsend, it completely eradicated my appetite, so I only eat 2 small meals a day. I combine this with reduced carbs & 16-hour IF. I aim to lose 20 kilos in 6 months, which sounds better than drastic, excessive weight loss too quickly. I'll keep you updated."
