For Diabetes, Type 2 "Be very careful of taking Ozempic! Be sure to get an ultrasound check for gallstones. My doctor simply sent me for a retina test to be qualified for this medicine but not the ultrasound test. On day 30 of taking Ozempic, I ended up in the emergency room with extreme pain and had to have my gallbladder removed. This is not a rare incident as the company claims as there are reviews online with people undergoing the same gallbladder removal surgery. As for the weight loss claims this medicine made no difference to my weight at all. Most likely it helps those who are really overweight and eat carb-heavy foods neither of which I qualify for. I have been a type 2 Diabetic for 18 years and have taken many different types of injections some acceptable most not, but Ozempic was by far the worst for me. Right now I am on Humalog and Victoza."
