Skyrizi (risankizumab) "The effects of the medication were slow-acting, but I was told this. After four shots, I have a 90% reduction in psoriasis and a 100% reduction in dactylitis. Joint stiffness starts to come back a few weeks prior to the next dosage, but I have been taking the medication for just less than a year. Overall, I am happy with the results."

Skyrizi (risankizumab) "I have PsA and psoriasis, HLA-B27+ with elevated monocytes 900+. The 1st week after taking your first dose, you’ll feel like crap since your immune system gets all scrambled, but after that, you will find significant joint improvement and experience less fatigue. Also got a headache, felt mildly nauseous, and had slight constipation. Your intestines have to adjust, almost all PsA patients have some hidden intestinal inflammation as this disease is systemic (impacts the entire body). It feels like a disease flare-up + sinus infection at the same time, lol. The headaches were tension/sinus type. Your joints will hurt more the 1st week. It’s normal, stick with it. I was able to shower and wash my entire body standing up for the first time in 10 years tonight. Usually, I can only wash 50% before my back gets too stiff, my feet begin to burn/throb, and my muscles in my upper body give out due to muscle and systemic fatigue. I’m 36F, btw."

Skyrizi (risankizumab) "After 2 years of trying six different biologics, my rheumatologist and I finally found one that has helped my severe PsA - Skyrizi. I use the prefilled syringes and it is so easy to dose. After two starter doses, I only have to inject once every three months! Pretty amazing! Although my symptoms are not gone, my joints feel so much better. I would say they have improved by 75%. I have only had one side effect that I get sometimes - cold sores on my lips. I use Aqaphor once or twice a day, which helps a lot. Thank goodness I have an aggressive and very positive rheumatologist. His work and this drug have made a huge improvement to my quality of life."

Skyrizi (risankizumab) "Have been treating with several drugs over the past 8 years. First with no side effects for me. Pain & swelling returns 4 to 5 weeks prior to next injection, 10 days later I'm great again. Believe injections should be sooner as 3 months is a long time for any med to last. First one I can tolerate without rashes, medical side effects. Will keep taking it..."

"No side effects at all and easy to use. Seems to calm things down for a few weeks after injection, and it’s helped with plaques pretty well, but hand and joint inflammation returns shortly after, often with a vengeance. Still experiencing major flares despite being on it for 10 months. Looking to try a new biologic in combination with MTX. Likely Remicade next. Any suggestions?"

Skyrizi (risankizumab) "I have just taken my first 3-month maintenance dose. I have finally gotten ahead of the lesions on my scalp, back, and feet. The left foot is worse. I have tried everything from steroid creams and a scalp liquid that made my hair stuck to my head worse than the psoriasis, which was like concrete. I tried Otezla, which helped but not enough to now, with many lesions or plaques gone, I am finally in remission."
