For Migraine "Nurtec ODT medicine gave me a worse headache by 100x than what I had already. It made things far worse and amplified my problem to the 15th power. Stay away from this medicine unless you want problems! ZERO STARS."

For Migraine Prevention "I have had migraines since I can remember, from age 4 or 5 to now at almost 63. I have tried almost every migraine drug known and all the other things, like acupuncture, massage, diet, etc. I still have PTSD from receiving ergotamine infusions back in the early '90s and several other ridiculous drugs. The triptans are the only drugs that have ever helped, but they are not preventative, nor are they great as you age. Out of desperation, I decided to try Nurtec ODT as a preventative. First dose gave me a screamer of a headache. I thought I was having an aneurysm... seriously. Second dose and I realized my incredible and painful joint pain (have arthritis to begin with) and my black stool with mucus in it had to be from Nurtec. Needless to say, they are in the trash where 99% of the supposed 'miracle' drugs for migraines have ended up! What a horrible drug. Thankful I refused the Aimovig shots a prior neurologist tried to give me. Who knows how long they would stay in your system?? UGH!"

For Migraine "I tried Nurtec in March of 2021. I didn’t link it to the Nurtec right away, but soon after, I started experiencing joint pain in my thumb joints. Then, after the first couple of doses, I noticed joint pain in my hips and neck. After taking the 5th and final dose, my hand joints were throbbing. I could not even touch my hands, they hurt so bad. Also, I could hardly turn my neck, and walking was a challenge. Finally, it hit me that it had to be the Nurtec. I did nothing else. Took nothing else, and it started right after starting the Nurtec. I went to my GP, and he also thinks it is from that. The problem is that it wasn’t going away after I stopped it. So I was put on prednisone, which helps tremendously. But as soon as I stop or try to wean off it, it returns with a vengeance. I am negative for all rheumatoid arthritis tests, including a genetic one. Never had joint pain prior to this. Have no family history of autoimmune. I am so frustrated and wish I never tried it. I want my life back."

For Migraine Prevention "Within a few doses (was taking it every other day) caused brain fog, dizziness, nausea, and felt a tightness in my head. While it did stop a migraine in about 1 1/2 hours, I only started it on 7/20/2022. At the doctor's suggestion, I tried again, and on Monday, 8/01/2022, I had worse of the same symptoms. Have not and will not take another dose, but it is now Wednesday, 8/03/2022, and I still feel not just the brain fog but the tightness in my head and feel like I'm on sleeping pills. Left another message for the doctor. I WILL NOT take this medication again. Causing more health issues than just having migraines."

For Migraine "Do not recommend this medicine. I only wish I had known it had an artificial sweetener before taking it. It explains why my body reacted so violently. Sumatriptan works great to treat my migraines, but my new neurologist was looking for a preventative solution. Apparently, Nurtec can be used that way, but first we needed to see how I’d react. Both times I took it at the onset of a migraine. The first time, I went straight to bed and woke up the next morning feeling slightly hungover. But then, nausea, diarrhea, and a weird headache for two days. Thought I’d give it one more try. Didn’t touch the headache, and about 36 hours later, horrific rebound headache. I have been in bed all day. Do not wish this on anyone."

For Migraine "Nurtec takes my level 10 migraine pain away within an hour. What I get later is lasting dizziness (up to a month of dizziness with just one pill). I also get rebound migraines and headaches, sometimes from just 1 pill, but it’s more severe the more that I take (migraines - severe pain on one side of the head, nausea and vomiting, headaches - pain all over the head and less severe). When I took it more often, my hair started coming out like crazy. I was afraid to wash and brush my hair because so much was coming out. Now that I take it more sparingly, my hair has stopped falling out. I take it as little as possible now, although I still get the dizziness and rebounds from taking very little. I think the manufacturer seriously needs to update the side effects warning. It’s for sure causing my rebounds and dizziness, and as so many have reported hair loss with CGRP acting meds, it really seems unethical to not give these warnings. I rate it a 7 because it works, but side effects are bad."

For Migraine "No! Stay away! Horrible! Do not take! Terrible! Terrible! Terrible! This will have you screaming in pain. The headache it brings on is 200x worse than any migraine. Not worth it at all! Totally unhappy with Ubrelvy too. I'm looking to just take a sleeping pill of some kind rather than a migraine abortive."

For Migraine "It took the edge off the pain, but onset was at least 2 hours. I had pretty severe nausea and indigestion, along with feeling like a zombie after taking. The abdominal distress lasted into the next day, along with a mild headache. Not really what I was hoping for, but I guess better than having severe migraine pain. I was able to function at subpar."

For Migraine "I was prescribed the medication due to cervicogenic headaches with migraines. I was involved in a bad injury due to Takata airbags, and no one can really figure out what's wrong. (They can, but no one agrees on how to fix it without surgery that I can't afford... 100k per joint and 3+ joints, and they don't think it will actually help.) Anyway... it's just plain dumb to put sucralose in a migraine medication when it's a trigger for so many people. It did help the headaches, don't get me wrong... but slowly the migraine settled in due to the sucralose. Do I really want to trade headaches for a migraine? To be transparent, I'm on 600 mg of Lyrica (the max dose) and 80 mg of baclofen (also max dose) for migraines and neck pain. Without the Lyrica, I have daily migraines. My doctor thought Nurtec could help tame them further. For me, it undoes everything the Lyrica helps with. Take my anecdotal experience with a grain of salt, but think twice if artificial sweeteners are a trigger for you."

For Migraine "I have been on Nurtec for 6 weeks and have not helped my migraines, in fact, it is worse, and my stomach is very sick. Think I have to get off this drug. It also wakes me up at night with terrible headaches."

For Migraine "Nurtec ODT did not relieve migraine symptoms. Still the same headache after a few hours of taking the dissolving pill."

For Migraine Prevention "This has been a life-changing medication. I would have 10-20 migraines a month, and now I'm down to 2-4 migraines a month, and it makes the pain less 90% of the time. I end up with mild headaches that are easier to handle."
