Pseudoephedrine for Nasal Congestion "I've had plugged ears from sinus congestion for two weeks. I took two doses every four hours of two tablets each, and the congestion has finally cleared, but I didn't realize that it would make for a sleepless, jittery night and now a jittery morning with no appetite and mild nausea. Next time I would start with one tablet and see if that helps and make sure I had plenty of time before going to sleep."

For Nasal Congestion "Was prescribed pseudoephedrine after nasal surgery. I gave the doctor a complete list of my medications. Also told him of heart surgery and bladder problems. He should have never prescribed this for me. I took the meds, on day one... resulted in urine retention, nausea, high blood pressure, agitation, sleeplessness, and a host of other symptoms. I went online and found a list of medications that have bad reactions from Sudafed. Several of mine were on the list, to include low-dose aspirin, Tylenol, and others. Please go online and research side effects and ask your doctor about taking it with other prescribed medications. I had thought he read my forms that I filled out. Apparently not."

For Nasal Congestion "30 mg really helps clear up my sinuses. I've probably prevented two or three sinus infections by taking this medicine as soon as I start to feel congested. The only downside is that it makes me a little bit nauseous."

For Nasal Congestion "I took Telfast D, 1 tablet twice a day, 120 mg of pseud. I was fine at night, but just an hour after I took my 2nd dose in the morning, got nausea, lightheadedness, felt my heart racing - heart palpitations approx 100 bpm. This went on for hours. I threw up the meds. I got better after I took a short nap a couple of hours later. I stopped taking it, but the next morning - lightheadedness, nausea, heart palpitations, I gagged but didn't throw up, I went to A&E. ECG test normal. 120 bpm. Trembling, jittery, cold, and anxious. Very similar to an anxiety attack. The doctor said pseudo caused my heart palpitations as a side effect. It didn't even help me at all with my nasal congestion in the first place."

For Nasal Congestion "For me, it didn't work. I didn't have any noticeable difference in my congestion, etc. I get a very bad stuffed up every time I have a cold, particularly at night. This didn't help me, and it made me feel very nauseous, which is not a pleasant side effect when the aim of this is to relieve discomfort."

For Nasal Congestion "The FDA allows lactose as an ingredient in prescription drugs. Symptoms of lactose intolerance include gastric upset, stomach pain, gagging, nausea, diarrhea, and constipation. My symptom of nausea and stomach pain began after several doses. I talked with my doctor, and he had me change to an alternative drug that did not contain lactose."
