For Generalized Anxiety Disorder "My experience with Lyrica, simply put, would be legendary. Before Lyrica, my anxiety would present itself by making me extremely sweaty, feeling uncomfortable and antsy, and irritable. I would be so worked up that I would have to take a deep breath a few times a minute. I am on 450 mg a day, taking 150 three times a day and still feel extremely amped up and energized, without the anxiety component. I owe this medicine my life."

For Generalized Anxiety Disorder "I've been taking Pregabalin for 2 years now, and it's been an absolute lifesaver. Lifted my depression immediately, and although anxiety does not diminish completely, it makes it so much more bearable. It's the only drug that's ever worked for me. I wish I'd found it sooner. It makes me feel like I'm normal again and gives me the motivation I've always lacked. 10/10 from me."

For Generalized Anxiety Disorder "I've suffered from GAD for 20 years, tried everything, but this is by far the best. This works. Take it to make your life happier. Don’t suffer in silence. I take 300 mg in the morning and 300 mg at teatime, and if I have to stay on it to give me a good quality of life, then I will."

Pregabalin for Neuropathic Pain "Beware of this drug. I’ve taken it for over 12 years now and have been tapering off it for well over a year and a half. Withdrawal from this drug can be a life-altering, career-destroying experience. The anxiety and depression can be extreme. Horrible brain fog, severe insomnia, paranoia, severe mood swings, and anger that approaches rage. My research indicates that severe withdrawal is fairly uncommon, but there is no way to know if you’ll be a victim. And the after-effects can last for years, trying the patience of loved ones, your employer, doctors, and friends. If you are considering going on Lyrica or have been on it for only a short time, consider stopping as soon as you can. But beware - even short-term exposure can lead to nasty, long-lasting withdrawals. I’ve read one person's account of only taking it for two weeks, and she still spent a year in withdrawal."

Pregabalin for Fibromyalgia "Lyrica gave me back enough life to work part-time again. Tried many other medicines to treat my fibromyalgia symptoms, and few had much positive effect. However, I found that Tramadol works for the muscle pain, and Lyrica allows me the strength and energy to move once the pain is managed. Trazodone helps with the quality sleep issue."

For Generalized Anxiety Disorder "I have been on this medication pregabalin for 4 years. It saved my life. I got my life back from anxiety disorder. But sadly, now I am on the highest dose and it's not working anymore, so I feel in a constant state of panic."

For Generalized Anxiety Disorder "I'm 20 years old and was addicted to cannabis (2-3g daily) for roughly 5 years, unknowingly medicating GAD, which eventually resulted in more anxiety leading to cross-addiction into alcohol, lots of mephedrone, cocaine, and more. Yet again, this resulted in even more anxiety and treatment centers. After countless lapses, I sought help from my local GP. They prescribed me 600mg of Pregabalin daily, and I can honestly say this drug is better than any illegal or legal drug available in treating anxiety in any form. This drug is not side-effect free, but compared to the others out there, including anti-depressants, it's definitely the best option. After the initial euphoria wanes, it stabilizes, however, so don't give up after the first effects go."

For Generalized Anxiety Disorder "My anxiety had crippled me to a state where my life could no longer function. The first few days on Lyrica, I noted a sense of euphoria and confusion, but by the 4th day, I found myself able to think about trigger points for my anxiety and was almost in awe of how it didn't raise its head. It seemed like anxiety had left my body, to the point where I had to look in a mirror and say 'why did you care about all that so much?' Almost in disbelief of my previous behavior, not being able to connect with those feelings or attitudes became freeing. Lyrica gave me my life back, it seems. Importantly, I'm still me. Friends and family all commented on how much better I am without losing personality, which I believe is one of the best qualities of the drug."

For Generalized Anxiety Disorder "Here is my one-year review. I mentioned in an earlier review that I was having success after a month. I rarely feel anxious since starting pregabalin. On the bad days, it doesn't stop it completely, but reduces it to a bearable minimum. It really is a wonder drug and far more effective than SSRIs. I don't plan on ever coming off it. I take 150mg twice a day. Fair play to everyone with an anxiety disorder, it is such a crippling and soul-destroying illness. This medication can do wonders! Only side effect is slight weight gain."

For Generalized Anxiety Disorder "I have spent this past year being very depressed with severe anxiety. It seemed like whatever med the doctor wanted to try on me for my anxiety didn’t work. The antidepressant, Celexa, was supposed to help with GAD but as far as I’m concerned, I believe it made my anxiety worse. My anxiety became very crippling. I asked to be taken off Celexa and put on Prozac recently. He made the change for me and said he wanted me to try Lyrica for my anxiety since the gabapentin and clonazepam I was on didn’t work well for me. I tried the Lyrica at 50 mg 2X a day that my doctor gave me a script for, and the crippling anxiety was gone and the depression lifted. I’m glad I found something that finally worked for me. I know everyone is different and what may work for one person may not work for another. You just have to find what works for you. My girlfriend can’t take Lyrica. At 25 mg 2x a day, she felt high and really dizzy. So she’s on something else that works for her."

For Generalized Anxiety Disorder "I’ve suffered from anxiety for most of my life. I’ve tried everything. Went on drinking binges. Benzos helped panic but when they wore off, my anxiety only worsened. I’ve tried almost every single antidepressant on the market. Stayed with them hoping the side effects would wear off. They increased my anxiety 10xs over. Effexor-the worst, Paxil and Cymbalta... Zoloft and Celexa were not terrible. Buspirone-nothing. Vistaril-dry mouth, fair effect. Xanax and muscle relaxers knocked me out. Trazodone did nothing-a severe dry mouth. Amitriptyline helped sleep, nothing else. I take tramadol for fibromyalgia and a back surgery-helps anxiety. Finally prescribed Lyrica. I was skeptical, scared, and reluctant. Worried about “staying the course” through side effects. The very first dose was like a light switch. I felt alive and “normal”. No side effects whatsoever. Helped pain, anxiety, and fibromyalgia. This drug absolutely saved my life. I truly would be dead without it."

For Pain "Given this pregabalin after several other meds failed to rid me of my agonising pain of 4 bulging discs (sitting on root nerves in my lower back, can’t lay down, can’t sleep, can’t cope!). For me, pregabalin is a miracle cure for now. I must admit I’ve read the bad reviews, but it's not the case for me. I never thought I’d be free of this agony while waiting for back surgery. If I gain weight or anything similar, I’ll take it to be pain-free (first time in a year)."

Pregabalin for Neuralgia "I got severe trigeminal neuralgia 40 years ago. After 10 years on Tegretol, I had MVD operation. It was quite an experience on its own. From the moment I opened my eyes, the pain was gone - until 2 months ago (nearly 30 years later). It's not as severe as before, but it was back, and moved from the lower jaw to the top one. I went on Lyrica starting at 25 mg twice a day, slowly increasing to 75 mg doses. It took about 3 weeks to work, but now I am pain-free. The side effects haven't been too bad to date. It is a winner. I missed a dose once and got slight tingling reminders. Don't miss a dose."

Pregabalin for Fibromyalgia "I have been on this for more than 15 years. I have only very slowly increased the dose over this time, and I have found it to be very effective at reducing the, all the time, low to medium level pain. It doesn't always cover the high end, less frequent, pain, but I can cope with that. No painkiller is going to stop all pain. I can work and function. Without it, I am unable to do the things I love."

Pregabalin for Fibromyalgia "I was practically bedridden when I finally got diagnosed with fibromyalgia. After prescribing all the usual medications, with no relief, Lyrica was added and gradually increased to my current level of 400mg daily. I was able to break the bed-to-sofa-to-bed routine and start moderate exercise. While I am nowhere near my former physical self, the level of relief is remarkable. I had some problems getting Lyrica because it was so expensive, and I really suffered while I didn't have it. Currently, I am getting my prescription through the VA, but we are moving and a new VA doctor may not be willing to jump through all the hoops necessary for me. I know my current doctor had to fight for me."

Pregabalin for Neuropathic Pain "I suffered severe sciatica for two years before my doctor prescribed Lyrica. After a few days of building up in my system, the medication completely killed all of the pain, numbness, and tingling in my right leg. It was so effective, I thought I was suddenly cured! I stopped taking the Lyrica and the symptoms returned after a couple of days. I have now been taking Lyrica for two years and swear it is the best solution available for my bulging disk problem."

Pregabalin for Fibromyalgia "I have just started on Lyrica 75 mg. Taking it once in the night. It seems to be working. My pain is down a bit, and I am able to do a lot more work than before. Also, don't get as tired as before. Just got back from visiting Turkey, and the week I spent there was hectic. Lots and lots of walking. Don't think I would have been able to do it without this medication. I have fibromyalgia since the last 2 and a half years and had shied away from this medication because of the side effects. However, I was in so much pain a month ago that I finally decided to give it a try. I don't regret it and am hoping that the effect of the medicine will last. And I'll have a normal life again."

For Generalized Anxiety Disorder "I've only been on pregabalin for two days, and it's been miraculous: 100 mg three times a day, and my anxiety has just vanished. It seems to take effect within 45 minutes and lasts for about six hours per dose. My anxiety was out of control despite 20 mg of escitalopram and 2400 mg of gabapentin per day. The anxiety was so bad my only choice was to drink to excess, which was so bad for me. As soon as I switched from gabapentin to pregabalin, my anxiety was eliminated and I had no need or desire to drink. More people need to know about this!"

For Generalized Anxiety Disorder "I have just started Lyrica, but so far, it works great for my anxiety and my back pain. Don't give up when you first start, the side effects pass, and this medication works a lot better than any SSRI or lorazepam, which is horribly addictive. I think I finally found something that can help, and I hope that whoever reads this feels the same."

Pregabalin for Fibromyalgia "I have had fibromyalgia for as long as I can remember. The pain was so bad 6 months ago from too much stress that I wasn't sleeping, which made it worse. I had to quit my job, and I would just lay in bed and cry, moving my heating pad all around my body. It was a nightmare. I wanted my life back. I found a doctor to do all the tests and diagnose me. I tried gabapentin first, and did nothing for me, and I was a zombie, so we switched to Lyrica. I take 300mg a day. It's not perfect all the time. Some days I am back in pain. And three days before my period, I'm in a lot of pain. It has also helped my anxiety and insomnia. For me, the dizziness went away after a month. And the other side effects are minimal."

For Pain "The last year I've been so crippled with anxiety and tension headaches, lots of pain (I have ME/fibro) and I've not wanted to live much longer. I was put on pregabalin for my bad anxiety and pain (which was behind my eyes and all over my scalp and temples), painkillers had been doing nothing. Since taking the pregabalin I feel absolutely amazing, the pain has vanished and the anxiety and I want to go out there and live again."

For Generalized Anxiety Disorder "30 years of depression - Venlafaxine and Lamotrigine helped me then stopped working. At my wits' end - went to the Emergency Department at the hospital. Prescribed Pregabalin, almost as a last resort - and it worked! Some respite from terrible anxiety and depression. A lifesaver -"

Pregabalin for Fibromyalgia "I have had fibromyalgia for years, but the last 3 years have been a nightmare. I ache all day, and at night when you are supposed to get into bed and relax, you can't because it feels like you are a car engine that's been started up and can't be turned off. Your body feels active, and you can't relax. I find my teeth are clenched, or my hand, or my foot. So, had enough three weeks ago, took to my bed for three days crying and feeling depressed. I take tramadol every day, venlafaxine for anxiety, none of which take the pain away. So went to the doctor, she said to give this...all I can say is at present, I have been on it for three weeks, I now remember what a good night's sleep is. I can switch the engine off and actually properly relax, it's wonderful."

Pregabalin for Pain "I have 4 curves in my back. Several bulging discs, chronic pain due to the discs, osteoporosis, lordosis, and kyphosis, with spinal stenosis. Lyrica has been a miracle for me. I have been using a walker for 8 years. Yesterday I went across the street, came back to my house to get the garden hose, back across the street to water my neighbor's plants, and lugged the hose back home. Suddenly, I realized I forgot my walker. I completely forgot it. I wake in the morning pain-free. I am walking now without the walker, it has also improved my mood. I used to cry a lot because I could not do the 'normal' things people my age can do. I am 50 years old and have been on disability for 8 years. I feel like a new person."

For Generalized Anxiety Disorder "I have suffered anxiety for 10 years plus and for the last year had suffered from jelly legs whenever I'm in a shopping area or anywhere there's crowds of people. Lyrica has changed my life for the better - no more worries, loads more confidence, and no feelings of anxiety. Would say it has improved my life 100%."
