MiraLAX (polyethylene glycol 3350) for Constipation "I had surgery that went bad leaving my system kinked. This caused me to have nothing but problems with straining and constipation for several years now. I am so happy to be able to use something that makes me feel normal again."

MiraLAX (polyethylene glycol 3350) for Constipation, Acute "I suffer from Syringomyelia. This is a condition that severely effects your Nervous System. The stools that my Digestive Process produces kind of changes from day to day. Since I am already on a Whole Foods Diet without any Dairy or Wheat products sometimes I'm Regular. Other times my stool will either be too hard to get out and thus will stay stuck inside of me for a few days resulting in terrible gas/bloating. Other times my Stool will be completely liquid and yet because my Nervous System is not responding correctly I just can't flush it out of my Intestines. Whenever my Bowels are not functioning correctly all I need is a small dose of Miralax in a Cup of Water and within 20 minutes I'm able to go no problem. Highly recommended."

MiraLAX (polyethylene glycol 3350) for Bowel Preparation "I wonder if people recounting stories with vomiting and terrible cramping are also using the Miralax prep with Dulcolax, which can be known to cause these issues. Been prescribed Miralax ONLY prep (no Dulcolax or other laxatives) now twice: once for colonoscopy, once for abdominal surgery. Both times it is the easiest prep I have ever done, as someone who has had done 3 colonoscopies prior and had to take other prep. I, like many of you, am in my 20s and still have an intense fear of vomiting. There is absolutely no nausea for me taking the Miralax-only prep. 14 caps in 64oz, so a LOT of liquid, which helps as it draws water to the bowel and cleans you out. I was never advised to do split prep, so all in under two hrs. When mixed with Gatorade, pretty easy to get down, not the best tasting but a breeze in comparison to other colonoscopy preps I’ve had to do. No cramping or pain, the only discomfort I feel is the bloating and fullness from the amount of liquid consumed!"

MiraLAX (polyethylene glycol 3350) for Constipation "I was lulled into a false sense about this drug by my doctor and reviews which said it would work over several days and help me have a natural bowel movement. This is not my current experience. I haven't had a real bowel movement in 9 days, which is the first time in my life this has happened. I have some health issues and have been eating 400-600 calories per day. I took the miralax at 7pm assuming nothing would happen for a few days. At 9:15 abdominal pain, cramping, running to the bathroom. Sweating bullets through my clothes and feeling incredibly nauseous, it took a while but it started working. Almost 2 hours later I am hoping the worst is over. It was effective because it is working, but be aware it CAN work fast and feel terrible"

MiraLAX (polyethylene glycol 3350) for Constipation "Last year I had constipation really bad. I was going to the doctor many times. Then my doctor recommended MiraLAX. I took it for a while and after I got normal again my doctor said I could stop. I was going regular, now I haven't been in 6 days and have been using MiraLAX for 3 (today's the 3rd.) It hasn't worked yet, but I'm hopeful it will!"

MiraLAX (polyethylene glycol 3350) for Constipation "I have constipation due to irritable bowel syndrome. After using many other laxatives that helped for a while, MiraLAX (RestoraLAX in Canada) is the only one that has helped me have a regular bowel movement every morning without cramps, gas, and bloating. I've been using it for about 6 weeks with no side effects. I take RestoraLAX every mid-afternoon and drink lots of water all day."

MiraLAX (polyethylene glycol 3350) for Bowel Preparation "I have always used miralax, plain with water, I just drink and get it over with. The dulcolax tabs work too so I don't ever have problems, but the magnesium citrate 6 hours before procedure, for me, is the worst. That 10 ounces of bitter salt water taste takes forever to finish - I'm already clean and still have to drink it. I tried Moviprep and pain, stomach cramps were awful. But with colon cancer years ago, I'm grateful each time colonoscopy is fine and a little nite of miralax is nothing."

MiraLAX (polyethylene glycol 3350) for Constipation "I have IBS-C and over the years, have tried just about every laxative out there. My doctor prescribed me Miralax in 2008 and I took it daily until 2014. This is a very gentle laxative that can take several days to work. It's completely flavorless. The only side effects I noticed were minor bloating and gas. Eventually, my body got used to it and Miralax stopped working. But for six years, it was painless, dependable therapy that I was grateful to have."

MiraLAX (polyethylene glycol 3350) for Constipation "Been constipated for years and only have a bowel movement once ever 4-5 days. I've been taking this for 5 days and still haven't gone. It's made me extremely bloated to the point where I look 8 months pregnant, and I usually have a pretty flat stomach. Maybe I need to try a stronger laxative, but this just doesn't seem to work for me."

MiraLAX (polyethylene glycol 3350) for Bowel Preparation "I used this for my first colonoscopy prep this past week. I was so happy with the experience after hearing horror stories. I followed a low residue diet for four days then a clear liquid day. Mixing the miralax in Gatorade was tasteless and very easy to drink. I was able to do a split prep so even the volume I had to drink was tolerable. I had no cramping, no pain, no nausea. My doctor rated my prep as “excellent”. Would highly recommend this prep approach."

MiraLAX (polyethylene glycol 3350) for Constipation, Acute "I am 65 years old and suffer from diverticulitis. I ended up being hospitalized and did get better but not totally. One day I was in horrible pain and vomited. I had an impaction. The doctor gave me high doses of antibiotics and prescribed miralax. That was a few months ago. I only take as needed as the pain on the left side signals trouble. As long as I don't get constipated, thanks to miralax, I am okay. This stuff works for me. I buy Costco brand since it is cheaper."

MiraLAX (polyethylene glycol 3350) for Constipation "I have chronic constipation due to medications mainly my pain medications and I take miralax on occasion and it works but for me takes a full 3 days for it to kick in and get my bowels moving again. I recommend taking this as soon as you get constipated for some it works as soon as 12 hours. I've had no issues with Miralax and it works for me."

MiraLAX (polyethylene glycol 3350) for Constipation "I have had normal bowel movements most of my life. Then I turned 29 and it started slowing down dramatically. Genetically my father had gastrointestinal issues such as IBS and he had food sensitivities. I am now learning all about this and had been suffering for 2 years with constipation. Stool softeners were so harsh on my stomach but I took them because they worked, metamucil wasn't effective for me and still left me with bad constipation, as well as laxatives, saline's, and suppositories. My gastroenterologist recommended Miralax and I initially had to wait almost 3 days. Then it was diarrhea because I was so backed up. So now I have a happy medium. The amount I take every day that gives me relief, comfort, and regularity. I go anywhere from 2 to 4 times a day soft to semi loose stools. I couldn't be happier and healthier I recommend trying this asap!"

MiraLAX (polyethylene glycol 3350) for Constipation "I have taken Miralax since I was 3 years old due to a medical condition. The product does what it should, but after about 3 years it acquired a flavor that I can't stand. I mix it with other drinks and over time it ruins those drinks for me also. If you can get past the flavor it is a miracle product."

MiraLAX (polyethylene glycol 3350) for Constipation "I was prescribed Miralax in the ER. I have been in HORRIBLE pain since Tuesday. I've taken Miralax since Wednesday and haven't had a bowel motion since. This product severely constipated me. The opposite of what its supposed to do. I am STILL in pain and I was normally regular. Not anymore. "

MiraLAX (polyethylene glycol 3350) for Constipation "It actually works really well for me. Especially when I was an opiates user and didn't take any laxatives my stools were so hard and big that I would resist going as long as I could because I was so afraid of the pain. On average I wouldn't go for 2 to 3 weeks and there was once I didn't go for 2 months and had to go to the er. I'm now taking a medicine to get off opiates called methodone and my bowel movements aren't nearly as painful but still give me problems. After taking miralax my bowels motions would come out with absolutely no pain but if you don't do it everyday it will keep happening"

MiraLAX (polyethylene glycol 3350) for Constipation "I've been taking MiraLax, as my mom tells me, ever since I switched to formula. I'm not a good eater so I'm always constipated. However, MiraLax works pretty much all the time. It would get a 10 except that it failed today. I took my usual dosage and I was still constipated. I guess it's because I've been taking it my entire life."

ClearLax (polyethylene glycol 3350) for Constipation "I haven't use the bathroom like I supposed to in the last month. I have taken Fleet and other laxatives but it just did not work. I felt so bloated and I never stopped eating. Finally I couldn't take it no more so I went the doctor and she prescribed me something to take. The medicine that she prescribed for me wasn't covered by my insurance so I went to Walmart and saw that ClearLax had almost the same ingredients. I bought me some apple juice and mixed it together. About an hour later I really used the bathroom and I feel great. If it works for me, it is some good stuff and I am serious."

MiraLAX (polyethylene glycol 3350) for Constipation "I've suffered from constipation most of my life, using different laxatives such as senna, dulcolax, milk of magnesia, suppositories and enemas. They worked but they would also give me very loose stools and/or horrible stomach cramping. I was having another bad bout of constipation alternating 3 days before I would have a BM. Decided to give miralax a try after my brother who also had chronic constipation recommended it to me. I took it after a meal before bedtime and I noticed my stomach was gurgling but no real discomfort, I think I could feel the stuff moving everything through the colon. Woke up this morning and after drinking some more water, I was able to finally have a bowel movement that was firm yet soft and not watery whatsoever. Finally relief! I'd also like to note that I usually strain really hard to have a bm but with miralax all I had to do was relax and it came right out. Would definitely recommend!"

MiraLAX (polyethylene glycol 3350) for Bowel Preparation "With my family history of colon cancer and my bout with colon cancer, I've been getting a colonoscopy every 3 years. This past April I was told to use Miralax. It was the first time my prep was not sufficient to proceed with the procedure even though I followed the instructions exactly."

MiraLAX (polyethylene glycol 3350) for Constipation "I take Miralax every day and have for about six months, per my doctor. I have an abdominal hernia, inoperable. My complaint is your new POUR SPOUT. I HATE IT WITH A PASSION. My last purchase did not have that feature and it was a real pleasure. Why in the world did you think that would be a good addition to the bottle? I wish you would stop that and go back to just the regular bottle. Miralax is my God send. I have a lot of problems with my bowels and this helps me greatly. I have recommended Miralax to my friends. Surprisingly, some already use it. That is my say for today. Sally Wiese"

ClearLax (polyethylene glycol 3350) for Constipation "I've been taking Clearlax a little over a week now. I kept complaining to my wife for years about bowel movement troubles. She told me if I'm having so much trouble to buy some Miralax. I found Clearlax with same ingredients as Miralax. Anyway, my constipation was driving me crazy and painful. I was having trouble with hemorrhoids, stomach cramps, bowel movements and etc., you name it. I no longer use Preparation H, and feel great. "

MiraLAX (polyethylene glycol 3350) for Bowel Preparation "I tried the Miralax colonoscopy prep about 3 weeks ago because I didn't want to have to drink the traditional prep and it sounded less awful. BIG mistake. I did exactly as I was supposed to, liquid diet, etc., and this made me so sick, I was up with diarrhea and vomiting all night. Not only that, my 8:30am colonoscopy had to be canceled because I was nowhere near clear, even though I had taken all of it per instructions. It has taken me 3 weeks for my bowels to become normal again and I'm getting ready to do a "make-up" colonoscopy using the traditional yucky drink. At least the yuck will work. Miralax as an occasional laxative is fine, but never for colonoscopy prep, at least not for me."

MiraLAX (polyethylene glycol 3350) for Constipation "Smells like Elmer's glue and kind of gives my stool the consistency of it, too. It really works more as a stool softener than a laxative for me. Which is good when I'm having a lot of dry, hard stools, but the somewhat sticky texture leads to some incomplete bowel movements and a lot of unpleasant cleanup afterwards. I'd almost just rather pass the hard stool than have to go through a box of wet wipes every time I poop."

MiraLAX (polyethylene glycol 3350) for Constipation "I am 14 years old and was taking an anti-inflammatory medicine as well as a prescription pain killer for my kidney stone that I have. Those medicines made me constipated, and while I was at Childrens ER, my nurse practitioner prescribed me MiraLax. I was skeptical, and afraid that it would counteract with my other medications. She assured me that it would be okay. Did you know, you don't have to take it just once a day? I took 2 doses at once with 16 ounces of water, and a couple of hours later, I finally had a bowel movement. Overall this medication is really phenomenal. The only bad thing about it, is that it causes gas and nausea. Other than that, I'd say this is the best constipation reliever for all ages out there!"
