Phenazopyridine for Dysuria "I had to come home early from work, thought I needed the ER. Called my sis, and she said to try Uricalm first. SOOOO glad I took her advice. I went from fetal position with nausea and pain to almost complete relief in less than an hour. LESS THAN AN HOUR! I've never written a review for anything in my life, but this was beyond amazing that I couldn't help but pass this along to fellow hurting mamas. I'm still cranberrying and antibiotic-ing it up, but my symptoms have totally subsided. From tears to cheers!! I'm in total disbelief! (Hahaha I sound like an infomercial, but I promise I'm real!! ;) good luck!!"

Phenazopyridine for Dysuria "Took this for pain relief for a urinary tract infection - took about an hour and a half to kick in for my first pill, but after that, I took it every 4 1/2 hours because I had bad pressure and burning that kept coming back. Usually, I have no symptoms on this, but more recently when I took it, I have had nausea, blurred vision, really bad sweats. But nothing serious that would make me stop taking the pill."

Phenazopyridine for Dysuria "This medicine is a godsend! I'm 20/F, 140 lbs, and I frequently have pain at the very bottom of my urethra, which Azo soothes every time. However, it makes me quite nauseous if I don't take it right after eating, and it makes my mouth taste strange and chemical-y. If you are considering taking this, make sure you stock up on black panties (or jammies) as it will stain everything."

Phenazopyridine for Dysuria "I have interstitial cystitis and also just finished a Z Pack for a sinus infection. I got a yeast infection and was in desperate pain, extreme burning, swelling, etc. I took a 200 mg Pyridium pill and cut it in half, as I remember how nauseated it had formerly made me. I weigh 110 lbs and I am sensitive to most medicines, so I like to start smaller. I suggest you take it with food as it says that it doesn't interfere with the effect it has. It will make your urine bright orange, so watch your white clothes."

Phenazopyridine for Interstitial Cystitis "I am only 21 years old. I was diagnosed with IC. I wouldn't say I like taking AZO standard maximum pain relief, but it has been the only thing that helps. I have to take the prescribed amount every few months. Each time I have a flare-up, the side effects of AZO have gotten worse. When I first started to take it, I had no side effects from it. It has been a few years now, and every time I have to take it, the side effects keep getting worse. I feel fatigued, nausea, dizziness; all I want to do is lay in bed and not move. I don't think I am supposed to be taking it as often as I am, and it has taken a toll on my body. It is literally the only thing that helps."

Phenazopyridine for Dysuria "IDK, I came on here to see if anybody else felt nauseated for the whole day after taking these, because that’s how I feel. My stomach hurts sooo bad, and I just know it’s this medication. IDK, it’s not for me. It helped me with my UTI pain, though."

For Interstitial Cystitis "This medication has helped me greatly in coping with interstitial cystitis (IC). There are different types of pain associated with IC, and this medication helps with one of the most debilitating, which is a hot poker feeling that starts in the urethra and continues straight up the center. Also, some of the urgency to urinate is relieved. Even with this medication, I am attached to a heating pad, but without it, there is nothing left of me other than the pain. As for side effects, I have to eat first or I become nauseous with occasional vomiting and headaches. Well worth it."

Phenazopyridine for Dysuria "My pee is obviously orange. I wore panty liners to prevent staining. Relieved the urgency and burning sensation, however, after my second dose, on both doses, I had excruciating episodes of kidney pain. Like instantly dropping to the floor, not being able to do anything but cry for five to ten minutes until it was over. Nausea and hot flashes also. It served its purpose but was definitely uncomfortable."

For Interstitial Cystitis "I've suffered from interstitial cystitis since I was about 13 (now 29). I wasn't diagnosed until about 3 years ago. Up till then, doctors always tried saying it was UTIs, but every urine test always came back negative. Since I was 13, I've always had azo pills on me. They are my savior. They taste horrible but work within 10 to 15 minutes after taking. Only thing is now I'm worrying about taking them so much due to just recently after taking them, I had blood in my urine and severe nausea and chills."

Phenazopyridine for Dysuria "I used to take AZO, but I heard that Uricalm Max is stronger, so I gave it a try. I was a bit disappointed that Uricalm also causes nausea, because that was my main gripe with AZO. It's not pleasant when you wake up at 5 a.m. with the onset pain of a UTI. You just don't have the patience to wait to take the tablets until you have made a meal for yourself and danced around the kitchen trying to eat. But this must be a side effect of all urinary analgesics. I think it takes the same amount of time for the relief to take effect as AZO. Don't let the relief of feeling better lull you into a false belief that your UTI is gone. Go to your doctor for antibiotics, because these tablets only treat the symptoms and will NOT cure UTIs."

For Dysuria "My husband went to the ER a few days ago due to painful urination and bleeding. No sign of infection yet nor of stones, but traces of blood in the urine. They gave him Uristat to help with the pain. He says it is helping some with the pain, but the side effects are not good. He is having awful nausea and headaches and can barely stay awake after taking it. Been going to bed at 7 PM. Just very miserable. Thankfully, it was only to be taken for three days. Hoping his symptoms ease tomorrow. I don't think he will jump at the chance to take this drug again."

For Dysuria "I took it for the first few days (for pain) along with an antibiotic for a UTI, and this med worked okay, I guess, but it made me ... So... nauseous! Eating before did not prevent it. I had to deep breathe through pursed lips for an hour or two after taking a pill."

Phenazopyridine for Dysuria "I have been taking this product for a day, and I feel nauseous all the time. I threw up twice because of it. I would not recommend it. I wasn’t feeling like this before I started taking Azo, and I know I threw up because of it because my vomit was orange, just like my pee."

For Dysuria "I took one of the 200 mg pills as prescribed to me for UTI symptoms. I took it with a meal and a glass of water as suggested. It did work relatively quickly to get rid of the urgency, burning, and pain. Unfortunately, it caused me to vomit up everything I ate and drank within 5 hours of taking it. Severe dizziness, nausea, and uncontrollable vomiting are not worth the benefits of the medication."

For Interstitial Cystitis "Recently, I started taking Azo Standard, which seemed to work fine. It cleared my symptoms, but I noticed that I had extreme dry mouth. Figured it would eventually go away. Like Azo products, so I decided to try their Bladder Control. Started to take it about 2 days after finishing the Standard. Again, experienced extreme dry mouth but with some added issues. My eyes were very dry and itchy, and I did notice slight discoloration. My eyes looked and felt tired. My skin overall was dry to the point of itchiness. Had leg cramps at night and sometimes during the day. All of these symptoms started happening towards the end of taking the Standard, but I brushed it off to a change in weather, dust, etc. I started taking the Bladder Control about 2 or 3 days after. I did follow the directions. Still didn’t think Azo was the problem, so I continued taking it until this past Friday, 11/5/21. I have been constipated, dizzy, nauseous, tired, and all the things stated above."

For Dysuria "I was prescribed this phenazopyridine by my doctor, and I hated the way it made me feel. It made me feel nauseous and caused abdominal pain. I thought my symptoms were worsening, but I noticed that once I took a dose, I would start to feel terrible. I stopped taking it on the second day and started to feel better."

Phenazopyridine for Dysuria "Review of Azo Urinary Relief (Phenazopyridine): I took Azo Urinary Relief, extra strength, as directed for two days. The drug worked as intended. However, the evening I finished the last dose, I began experiencing significant gastrointestinal symptoms—gas pains, bloating, mild nausea, and loss of appetite. These symptoms lasted for about three full days, with things starting to resolve on the third day. The discomfort was enough to make me think something worse was going on. While stomach upset is listed as a possible side effect, I think it’s important to know that these effects can be moderate to severe and may begin after completing the medication, not necessarily during use. The product information and common reviews don’t seem to fully reflect this, and I believe users would benefit from clearer warnings based on experiences like mine."

Phenazopyridine for Interstitial Cystitis "I decided to give these pills a try after I still had some lingering symptoms after finishing UTI antibiotics from my doctor. Though my urge to urinate wasn't as bad and I wasn't in pain anymore, I was still having some discomfort. Uricalm worked like a charm, but make sure you eat a FULL MEAL before taking the two pills. I made the mistake of only eating an apple beforehand and nearly threw up, and then had diarrhea. Thankfully, the latter wasn't painful (I also have a really sensitive digestive system, so you may not experience those symptoms at all), but I would still eat something substantial. Even with these symptoms, my urge to urinate frequently was already gone. Later, I tried taking the pills after having a sandwich, and I was completely fine. It turned my urine bright reddish-orange, but aside from that, I felt completely back to normal again. I definitely recommend if you're just coming off of a UTI like me or are experiencing UTI symptoms but can't get to a doctor just yet."
