Pazopanib for Renal Cell Carcinoma "I had my right kidney removed in December 2014. They thought all the cancer was gone, but a few months later they found cancer in my lymph nodes. I started on Votrient in July 2015 at 800 mg but had my doctor reduce the amount because of stomach issues. I'm still nauseated daily and throw up almost every day. My hands are bright red, my hair is white, and I have sores on certain parts of my body that act like blisters then go away after a few weeks. All in all, the cancer is shrinking, and I have another CAT scan this month."

Pazopanib for Renal Cell Carcinoma "I am taking Votrient for 14 days. My side effects are vomiting, some stomach problems, and a temperature around 37℃. Half of my left kidney was removed in June 2015, but a year after I got results that I have MS on my sternum bone and 2 tumors appeared in the soft tissues around the sternum. After 14 days, one of the tumors is getting smaller, I hope this will happen with the other one. Reading the other comments, I hope the side effects will go away and the tumors will be gone. I am 23 years old. God bless everyone."

Pazopanib for Soft Tissue Sarcoma "I'm a 39-year-old guy from Sweden. I have soft tissue sarcoma in my stomach wall, and it spread to the bones (legs, both femoral head and sternum, and my skull that was removed). I have started Votrient 2015.08, 800 mg/day. The first 2 weeks, I had a fever and felt really sick, stomach problems, pain, and diarrhea. It took about 1-2 months before I felt normal with this medication. The pain from my bone mets disappeared pretty fast (1 month). I have had new scans after 3 months, and the results were pretty good, sternum and right leg had nothing left :) In the left leg, there is only about 30% left. I'm going to have new scans this month, so let's see, hoping for more good news.... The stomach tumor was the same."

Pazopanib for Renal Cell Carcinoma "My husband has renal cancer. He did a partial nephrectomy on his right kidney in 9/2010. Many tumors appeared later in small sizes in both kidneys. Now he is on Votrient 800 mg 35 days ago. He has high blood pressure treated. Rare weakness and bad taste. A little bit of problems in the stomach. Pain in leg. His hair started to be white. We are looking for a positive result. Hope this treatment can shrink or remove the total tumors."

Pazopanib "I started on Votrient in mid-January for neuroendocrine tumor and have been on it for a little over 3 months at 600 mg a day. It was rough at first. Felt bad, upset stomach, diarrhea, mouth sore, food tasted bad, and all my hair turned white. Lost weight as well. My blood counts were not affected and only slightly raised my blood pressure. I have toyed with when I take the medicine to try to mitigate symptoms. A couple of times I've stopped for 4-5 days due to horrible diarrhea. It would clear up after 24-48 hours of stopping the medicine. My taste would return as well. After 3 months, I now take the medicine around 3 AM or when I wake up to use the restroom in the night, when my stomach is most empty. This made a huge improvement. I always take 2 Imodium before breakfast, 1 before lunch, and 1 before dinner. This leveled out the diarrhea. Other than my white hair, all other symptoms have mostly subsided and I am able to carry on as normal. CT scan coming up next month."

For Renal Cell Carcinoma "I have stage 4 RCC. The drug worked for 4 years, the docs were surprised that it worked so long. I had most of the side effects: diarrhea, hair turning white, stomach cramps, but better than the pain. The tumors ate through a rib, 2 neck vertebrae, and my kidney, and some small ones in my lungs. The kidney and vertebrae were removed. The tumors doubled in size. I am now on Afinitor."

Pazopanib for Renal Cell Carcinoma "Began 800mg in May 2014, 10 months into treatment. No new mets at this time. High blood pressure began three weeks into treatment, a good sign in that it demonstrates the drug is working well. Hand-foot syndrome, initially intense pain, but now under control. Weight loss due to loss of taste and appetite, a nutritionist can help. White hair. This is considered the least toxic targeted therapy drug for mRCC, do all you can to stay with it. If it is working for the first year, you may continue to get excellent results for years to come. This is currently considered the first-line therapy for mRCC. Take at night to reduce the stomach discomfort."
