Rhofade (oxymetazoline) for Rosacea "I tried Rhofade for a few weeks and it didn't work at all. No change in redness and rebound flushing. I do not recommend. It doesn't work and it actually causes more redness. Had much better results with mirvaso but it's very expensive."

Rhofade (oxymetazoline) "I was prescribed Rhofade to treat red marks left from an acne breakout. I broke out in hives five mins after applying it, and started to have trouble breathing which led me to call 911. As it turns out, I was having an extreme allergic reaction to it."

Rhofade (oxymetazoline) for Rosacea "When I went to my dermatologist to have a mole removed, I asked him to evaluate my cheeks and nose. He informed me that I had mild rosacea and prescribed Rhofade. Unfortunately, this decision led to a significant mistake and resulted in trauma. Despite typically researching anything I put into my body extensively, I did not do so in this instance. Initially, I applied Rhofade in the morning, and it did fade the redness on my cheeks and nose somewhat. However, the next day, when I used it again, I felt a severe tingling and burning sensation. Within an hour, my cheeks and nose turned bright red, and my skin felt hot. I was so embarrassed that I had to call off work for the day. Now, two days after the second application of Rhofade, my face turns lobster-red with any stress, walking, or minimal exertion. This outcome has left me utterly devastated."

Rhofade (oxymetazoline) for Rosacea "I was really excited to try this product after years of suffering from rosacea. The first dat it seemed great - dramatic reduction in redness. However, after another use it seemed to make my rosacea even worse (painful rebound redness). It wasn't just red - it was fierce red and burning. This product should come with a warning about severity of rebound risk. Big disappointment."

Rhofade (oxymetazoline) for Rosacea "I’ve had mild rosacea for years and was thrilled to read an article espousing Rhofade. My dermatologist prescribed it without warning of possible side effects. After two days, my face is dark red everywhere this cream touched my face. Bumps and burning. Beware of this product."

Rhofade (oxymetazoline) for Rosacea "I has suffer from mild acne since 14yrs old. At age 19 I was diagnosed with Rosacea on top of the acne. I have tried EVERYTHING out there. So far, I am 30yrs old now, Accutane and Rhofade have had the best results for me. After my 3rd course of Accutane for 5 months, which makes my face look like porcelain, I started to break out again, my dermatologies gave me 2 little samples of Rhofade and with first application my face was clear again from redness & what looks like ezcema. I have used it 2 days so far and it is wonderful. I do feel some sensation on my cheeks but it is worth it."

Rhofade (oxymetazoline) for Rosacea "I was very nervous using this product after reading reviews on this site; however, it seems to work. I’m 10 days in now. I do see an initial increase in redness when applying, but that quickly goes away. They best effect is at about 3 hours after application. Then it seems to slowly wear off over the next 6 hours."

Rhofade (oxymetazoline) for Rosacea "Awful experience!! I've been on Accutane for about 4.5 months and was diagnosed with mild Rosacea long time ago. I tried a sample of Rhofade ONCE and after 3 hours I felt it was the best thing on earth. My redness was completely gone but the next day when the effect was over my Rosacea got really worse than ever before. It's irritated, bright and spread redness with pain. Please if you are considering Rhofade try in a really small spot of your face first. I'm still suffering from that side effect and don't really know what to do to relief my redness."

Rhofade (oxymetazoline) for Rosacea "I'm surprised by the bad reviews, I guess people only post when something goes horribly wrong or is a miracle. Mirvaso worked so well in the past to get rid of redness that my face was actually sallow and I needed BLUSH. But the insanely horrible rebound redness after exactly 8 hours made it untenable. Derm gave me Rhofade with no warnings but I had no problems. I have moderate rosacea with acne and sensitive skin; I avoid my triggers but I still have pretty bad redness and breakouts. *This is really thick, heavy and feels greasy, but it has never broken me out - my rosacea does that. Takes a long time and I have to really rub to get it to absorb completely, but once it does I can put other products over it with no problem. Only issue is I wish it lasted longer (like forever would be good) & it reduced redness like Mirvaso with no rebound; but it's not a magic potion, it's just a face cream. There's no cure for rosacea."

Rhofade (oxymetazoline) for Rosacea "I've struggled with redness and bumps from rosacea for many years. As a remedy, I used over the counter creams that offered mild benefits (like minimal). My doctor suggested Rhofade and because I was desperate, I was open to it. In fact I was so desperate that I paid near full price, minus a coupon. Long story short, this cream worked big time. Within an hour of putting on the cream (a tiny amount on cheeks ), I noticed the redness faded. The bumps also smoothed. My brother and husband also noticed. They did not know I had applied it. They simply said they noticed my face looked younger and less angry. I realize some here are saying it doesn't work. I don't want to take away from those experiences. But I also think there's some upset here because of the price tag. It is ridiculously expensive. But I'm telling you that for me, this has been a life transforming cream. It's worth every penny."

Rhofade (oxymetazoline) for Rosacea "This drug worked wonders for me. I have redness but most impactful is the burning facial pain that comes in its own or in combination with a flair of redness. Rhofaid has made a huge difference in the pain and burning sensations for me. I still get red with certain triggers but much less and with far fewer pain/burning instances."

For Rosacea "I started using Rhofade a week ago after my doctor prescribed it for me. One small pea sized drop spread evenly over my face each morning and I am noticing a huge difference. What used to require cover up every morning and reapply makeup through out the day is gone after an hour or two of applying this cream in the morning, and lasts all day. I no longer have to wear thick face makeup every day to hide the redness on my face and I am THRILLED. So far I haven't had any negative side effects. I am just disappointed I didn't know about this cream sooner!"

Rhofade (oxymetazoline) for Rosacea "Very disappointed. Used finacia and rhofade faithfully for over a year with no change. I just started a mixture of 6 essential oils, and it made 90% improvement in 1 week. That only cost me $30. The 2rxs totaled about $700 per month."

For Rosacea "I suffer erythema which is a condition quite similar. It started after I moved to a hot humid country. I usually take IPL sessions which work but not completely then I discovered oxymethazoline hydrochloride 0.05%. I read about it in medical journals due to my background. I bought it a week ago and am very satisfied. I bought a nose spray which was used in the clinical tests. It works. After applying I see the redness blotch falling apart so it becomes less. I need less coverage already and am very. I am curious what happens until 7 months (the clinical trial time). Nosedrops are used in the sensitive membranes of the nose so will not damage your skin. I do not know about rebound (yet) but I bought hydrochloride and only 0.05% because that is less harsh anyway. I recommend to buy it and give it a try. It does not break the bank. Good luck!!!!!"

Rhofade (oxymetazoline) for Rosacea "This is the best thing I've found for my mainly flushing rosacea. My skin stays calm and clear all day using it. I literally cannot flush, which is exactly my goal. I do not experience rebound redness or the bumps many on this thread complain of. This drug does have a couple downfalls however. The pins and needles tingling was a little unnerving at first, but nothing painful, just a strange sensation. But the cost is insane. I don't use daily because of cost, just when I'll be around a bunch of non-family/friends. This drug just isn't affordable for most people."

Rhofade (oxymetazoline) for Rosacea "My Derm prescribed this for me for moderate rosacea redness. I had great results with my compound cream (ivermectin, metronidazole cream, and azelaic acid) in clearing the acne that comes with rosacea, and it improved the overall texture of my skin, but it didn’t do anything for the redness. So I started using Rhofade for the redness, and it helped so much. My face would get red from applying it but would go away within 30 min-1 hr. My triggers would still produce flushing but overall, my skin was much less red. I’ve used this cream for about 8 months now, and about a week ago I ran out. My face has become intolerably red with so much heat. The rebound redness is real!! Way worse than what my triggers produce!! I had to put ice packs on my cheeks. Every single day I wake up to a super red face (cheeks almost purple), and now I have more broken capillaries in places I didn’t have before (forehead). It is awful! Even if you have great results, use this product with caution!!"

For Rosacea "The first day it worked really well and all of the redness completely went away. It became less effective as the days went by and I started getting 'pustules' which I didn't have before. Some days it worked better than others and I tried changing the way I applied, the amount I applied, and when I applied but still nothing seemed to make a difference on the effectiveness. I figured it was something my face just had to get used to before it really worked but it's been almost 2 months now and no change. I find that if I don't reapply in the evening, my face gets really really hot and red and if I skip a day, the rosacea comes back worse. Also I got a coupon for my trial prescription but without it the cost would have been upwards of $500. Wont be continuing."

Rhofade (oxymetazoline) for Rosacea "Dermatologist gave me several samples of Rhofade. Used every morning for a little over a month. My cheeks are getting extremely red and warm to the touch. It actually looks worse now than before starting the Rhofade. I don’t think this prescription cream is for me. Use to use Bye Bye Red Moisturizer with a green tint and that worked better than Rhofade but unfortunately, it s no longer manufactured. I did do laser treatments in the past which are expensive but two treatments got rid of the red and it lasted for months. I will budget for 2-3 laser treatments a year which gave me amazing results. I did not like Rhofade."
