"I have been taken oxycodone for 5 years. I usually receive the small green 15 mg pills which always worked well. I changed my doctor to the VA. I was given 15 mg oxycodone made by Rhodes. I really think this company's pills should be tested they do nothing for pain whatsoever or if there is any pain reliever at all in these pills. I have a drug test coming up in a couple days should be very interesting to see if there is any opiate in these pills."

"After being diagnosed with ovarian cancer and undergoing medications and chemotherapy, I developed severe neuropathic pain that affects my muscles throughout my body. Unfortunately, I have been forced into a world of relying on pain medication to address my pain. However, I have noticed a distressing change in the quality of the medication. It feels diluted and ineffective, designed to merely pacify people rather than provide genuine relief. It's a disheartening realization to be part of this system and I desperately want to break free from it. However, I still endure the pain and have no choice but to live with it. It's unjustifiable that medication isn't provided honestly and ethically to individuals seeking pain management through proper channels. We are not individuals roaming the streets in search of drugs and needles, engaging in reckless behavior. We are honest people who are living in constant pain but still need to function, take care of our children, and maintain our families. This is not the way honest people in pain should be treated."

OxyContin (oxycodone) "I have taken this drug for over 20 years for chronic pain. If I stop 1 person from starting this drug, then it has been worth it. Initially, it was the best pain reliever I ever tried. The problem is it is very addictive and stops working. The only way to sustain relief is to increase the dosage. I started at 60 mg and wound up at 200 mg. Unfortunately, at that dosage over the years causes brain cell deterioration. Remembering things becomes difficult, like family functions. In time, you become a walking zombie and numb to everything around you. You will lose interest in life and become drug sick if you don't take your pill on time. Your relief will no longer be there because it stops working after time. I am off now and have my life back."

OxyContin (oxycodone) "I have Rheumatoid and Osteoarthritis that affects everything in my body (organs and joints) but mainly my lower back. Spinal stenosis, bulging and degenerative discs, severe nerve damage from carpal tunnel in both hands, plus both hips and knees need surgery in the near future also. I take 80mg OxyContin 3 times daily plus Percocet 10mg 3 times daily for breakthrough pain. I have to take my pain medication first thing in the morning before I can take on my day. Have tried MS Contin and it worked fine, just did not last the 12 hours that they say it was supposed to; it was more like 6. Lortabs was like taking a placebo."

"I am legally disabled! I've been going to the same pharmacy for years and always get the Actavis 30-milligram oxycodone. And then about 3 weeks ago, they gave me the white Rhodes brand. No pain relief at all, got me nauseous and felt like I was going to throw up, and constant headaches. Thank goodness I only got a seven-day supply. So now I'm going to another pharmacy. The pharmacist is ordering me the 30 mg Mallinckrodt brand. To me, the Mallinckrodt brand is the best one. But my insurance isn't covering them. And I'm paying $105 a week for 35 pills. I don't know what else to do because I can't afford this for much longer! The rating bar I'm putting a 10 because I'm talking about the Mallinckrodt brand."

"I've been on Oxycodone for several years for chronic back pain. The ones I recently got from CVS in Niles, OH, made by Rhodes Pharma, is not what it says it is. I'm in severe pain and having withdrawal symptoms for more than a week of using it vs other brands. I am miserable! AVOID this manufacturer. If you Google Rhodes Pharma, you'll see there are others with the same complaint. I'm contacting the FDA, CVS, and Rhodes to file a complaint. Insurance pricing on this cheap drug is $95.00 - $195.00, but I use Good RX Gold and pay $28.00 for 150 tablets."

"I am prescribed OxyContin 30mg (oxycodone timed-release) 3 times a day and oxycodone IR 5mg 3-4 times a day for breakthrough pain. I suffer from severe trigeminal neuralgia, which is horrible pain in the face. They do work really well for pain control. The only issue sometimes is getting my pharmacy to fill them. Some pharmacists look at you like a junkie because you are on pain meds, and it's annoying. I hate that nonsense! The OxyContin 30mg are so hard to fill because they are rare, and my pharmacy always has to order them, which is fine with me. But they do work great for pain. The only bad part is how your body becomes physically dependent on them, and you get sick if you don't have them. It's not an addiction but a dependence. Big difference!"

"My pharmacy also switched to Rhodes oxycodone I had taken the same dosage for years, with excellent pain relief. Then after the brand switch I couldn’t understand why I was constantly sick with no pain relief and developed rashes all over also severe headaches. I was never told anything about taking it with fatty foods. That’s completely absurd!!! I too cannot eat when I’m in pain. Rhodes pharmaceutical should be out of business absolutely no pain relief and terrible side effects. I guess us legitimate pain sufferers, who never abuse or sell our pain medicine, need to start using heroin to get help with pain relief as the government seems to think they deserve a “ GOOD QUALITY OF LIFE “ but we don’t. It’s so frustrating and infuriating!!"

"Bottom-line & synopsis: **''RHODES PHARMACEUTICALS oxycodone and possible other medications DO NOT RELIEVE PAIN!*** HOW THEY PASSED THE FDA IS BEYOND ME, AND I'M HAPPY TO READ ALL THESE COMMENTS. I ONLY READ A FEW, BUT WE ARE ALL SAYING THE SAME EXACT THING! Even if I don't get in on a lawsuit, I hope somebody brings them to their knees -& shuts this company DOWN! I've been taking Rhodes Pharmaceuticals oxycodone anywhere from 2 to 6 months, but I've been taking oxycodone off and on for more than 20 years. So, I consider myself someone who knows the difference when medication is not effective at all"

Xtampza ER (oxycodone) "Until last weekend, I had three nights of good sleep. It takes 4 hours (zombie time) to come on. It then helps with pain for 5.5 hours. It is formulated using fatty acids from wax. It does not mix with water; you must eat some fat for it to work, which sucks at bedtime. If I take it just before falling asleep, I wake up to pee and then I lay awake for 3-4 hours. If I take it 4 hours before bedtime, then I have 4 hours to go to sleep. I have found a way to take it and get a good night's sleep! I get up at 5:00 AM, eat a Siggi's Triple Cream yogurt and a few tablespoons of heavy cream in a glass, take the dose, then back to sleep. I wake up at 8:30-9:00, and it's working. Second dose between 2:00-3:00 PM. FWIW (for what it's worth), coconut oil has 14g of fat per tablespoon. I talked to my pharmacist, and they take the coupon for generic OxyContin, and 60 will cost me about $110 a month."

Roxicodone (oxycodone) "This medication has been so beneficial, it has improved my quality of life ten-fold. I'm grateful to have been given access to this medication. I take 1-2 15mg tablets every 4 hours depending on the severity of my pain. I have relapsing multiple sclerosis and suffer severe widespread pain everyday. Mostly nerve pain in my legs that is debilitating. I do not get a "buzzed" feeling from the but it certainly takes the edge off my pain. Highly recommended but only if you aren't prone to addiction or have an addictive tendency."

Xtampza ER (oxycodone) "This drug made my nightmare even worse. In the 5 months I was on it, it caused me to gain nearly 60 pounds! Over 10 pounds a month! I had to literally buy bigger clothes every 2 weeks. Thank goodness for thrift stores! As for the pain relief, it didn't do as well as the Opana that I was on prior to the Xtampza. Then Opana was pulled from the market suddenly, though, supposedly in the reaction to the 'opioid crisis,' so I needed something to replace it, and the doctors gave me Xtampza that fall. I suffered with worse pain relief and rapid weight gain for 5 months, until they finally switched me to something else! I would not suggest this medicine to my worse enemy! You may not suffer from the extreme weight gain like I did. You may get better pain relief than I did. But beware, because some of us have *awful* side effects from this stuff!"

OxyContin (oxycodone) "I have been on strong pain medication since 2006 due to 13 spinal surgeries. Fentanyl, MS Contin, Roxicodone, were all effective at one point, but side effects and tolerance levels caused me to switch to OxyContin 40mg three times a day, with Roxicodone for breakthrough pain. Finding the correct dosage to avoid withdrawal symptoms was difficult, but finally my body has adjusted. First time in a VERY long time I am almost pain-free, with the least amount of side effects. I HIGHLY recommend giving it a try."

OxyContin (oxycodone) "I have chronic pain in my lower back, and this medication enables me to get out of bed each day and keep working. That said, I don't get the full 12 hours of sustained release. For me, it's more like 9-10 hours of relief before I feel it progressively wearing off (and supplement with a small dose of IR Oxycodone). Side effects? Finding the right dosage was tricky. Too little and I was in pain, but too much and I could barely keep my eyes open to function. I was fatigued the whole time and itchy all over. I've now found a stable balance between pain relief and side effects that is workable with the rest of my life. Overall, it's been a miracle medicine for me to relieve debilitating pain. I'm still in my 30s and am too young to be feeling 80 every day."

"I really believe that the Rhodes generic of oxycodone does not have any oxycodone in the medication. For 5 years, I was on Oxycodone 10mg KVK generic, no problems. Now I am lying in bed, unable to get up. The only thing that has changed is that the pharmacy changed to Rhodes 10mg. How they are able to get away with this is madness."

OxyContin (oxycodone) "I’m a registered nurse and home care in 2013 my car spun out and I had numerous injuries including a Trumatic brain injury, three fractured vertebrae, lacerated spleen, and three broken ribs. Since 2013 open till 2019 I had chronic pain day in day out around the clock even when I took Tylenol. One day I went to my doctor in tears because I try taking a night class but the driving and sitting in my car cause me too much pain. So she suggested I go to a pain center for treatment. Lo and behold I was prescribed 10 mg of oxycodone three times a day which I’ve been taking for over a year now and I wake up in the morning I take my medication I have level one pain which is basically not much."

OxyContin (oxycodone) "I suffer from degenerative arthritis in my lower spine, which is slowly making its way up my back. At first, I was taking Oxynorm, which is the same as OxyContin but in an instant-release form. I began on 10mg a day; however, due to tolerance issues, this dosage quickly increased, leaving me in a state where I was so stoned I might as well have been drunk. Concerned about this, I spoke to my GP who changed me over to OxyContin, slow-release. After 3 years, once again due to tolerance, I am on 80mg 3 times a day. The pain relief is awesome; sometimes it's so effective I forget my back's stuffed. However, some of the side effects are bad; for instance, I forget to breathe, have trouble swallowing, and the constipation is horrendous."

Xtampza ER (oxycodone) "In a word...awful. I've been on 2x18mg Xtampza ER for over a month now, after my sadistic insurance co refused to cover OxyContin, which I've been taking 2x20mg since 07 for severe pelvic floor pain. While Xtampza is designed to avert abuse, it most definitely is not designed for any credible chronic pain relief. First and foremost, it's doing very little for my pain. It takes FOREVER, like 2+ hours(!), to work, and lasts 3-4 hours, at best. I'm being generous saying it 'works', since it barely takes the edge off my pain. I still have to take breakthrough meds, even while this junk is supposed to be in full effect. I regularly experience strong side effects described by other reviews, including headaches, nausea, sleeplessness, and high anxiety. It's amusing to hear the claims of this med being 'exactly the same' as OxyContin - the one thing that actually worked."

OxyContin (oxycodone) "Severely hurt my neck all the way to my lower back. Was recently prescribed 30mg IR twice daily. I want to say this: For people suffering tremendous excruciating pain, it is an amazing excellent medication because it takes my pain away right away. However, for me, it is way too strong and I can’t function on it. When taken at night, I can’t wake up in the morning. I have made an appointment to go back to my doctor and switch back to Vicodin. To anyone reading: please don’t abuse or take unless you really need it, and for those taking it just to get high out there, stop! You are ruining it for the responsible people suffering and are risking their well-being for your selfish actions. I was responsible enough to see it was too strong for me. Please listen!!!"

OxyContin (oxycodone) "I have been taking Oxy ER 20mg 3x a day plus up to 8 Oxy IR 5mg for the past 7 years. It has been a Godsend for me. I was in a bad car accident in 2008 in which I suffered from a bruised spinal cord plus it worsened already bad Degenerative Disc Disease, Arthritis, and Spinal Stenosis. In June 2009, I had a spinal fusion on my neck levels 5-7. After both, I was left with horrible arm, shoulder, and neck pain and mobility issues in my neck. I work a lot on the computer and meeting with people. If not for the medication, I would not be able to work. I still have some pain, but it is more of a tolerable background pain instead of a full nerve toothache. Please, folks, use responsibly, many of us need it to live and function. I worry it will go away."

"KVK Tech immediate release Oxycodone does not work at all. After spending a horrific month in serious withdrawal and out of control pain I started researching to find why this medication was not working. I found that in November 2017 KVK Tech changed formula of IR Oxycodone to an "Abuse Deterrent" version that literally rendered the medication useless. The active ingredient is not being delivered once in the body due to the abuse deterrent properties. It's absolute garbage no better than a sugar pill. Once again they cater to addicts while legitimate pain suffers pay the price."

Xtampza ER (oxycodone) "I was forced off Oxycontin by my insurance plan and placed on Xtampza and it definitely does not work for my pain as well as oxycontin. I was told they are supposed to be the same medication except for one is tablet and one is capsule, but they are not as far as I (my body) is concerned. Also because this drug is so expensive the pharmacy does not even carry it, I am supposed to call a week or so in advance to make sure they can try to get it shipped in so now I'm facing possible issues of not being able to get my meds when they are due to be filled. This is causing all types of issues and hoops for me to jump through just to get my prescriptions."

I have post laminectomy syndrome, spinal stenosis, Levoscoliosis, rheumatoid arthritis, facet joint arthrosis, DDD, and a few herniated discs in my C-spine and L-spine and I’m only 35. As with all medications, everyone’s body works different in regards to medicine. For me, Xtampza works great and I find that it covers my pain most of the time for a full 24 hours. Granted my pain does change with the weather. However, I have found that Xtampza works better than OxyContin for me."

OxyContin (oxycodone) "I've had chronic pain for over 9 years now due to fibromyalgia and rheumatoid after I had a neck fusion back in 2005. Every day I have a lot of pain that I couldn't get out of bed without taking my med first. I'm on OxyContin 20 mg 2 a day every 12 hours and Percocet 10/325 4 a day for breakthrough. OxyContin doesn't work for me really well; it lasts about 3 to 4 hours, then I have to take Percocet for breakthrough pain to help me some more. So, altogether with these two medications, I still have a lot of pain that I'm coping with. I wish the doctor would increase the OxyContin, but he doesn't want to, so I have to live with all this pain every day for almost 10 years now. You know it's really bad to live with chronic pain every day. SomeoneHelpMe."
