"KVK Tech Oxycodone is absolutely terrible. There is no pain relief at all, and furthermore, I have been experiencing withdrawal symptoms like I have forgotten to take my medication despite taking it at the times I normally do each day. I have chills, restless legs, diarrhea, I can't sleep, and pain is out of control. I see now that KVK Tech has been reprimanded by the FDA as of February 2020 as they have found them to be totally out of compliance. Why has their Oxycodone not been recalled as of yet? I would seriously like to know what percentage of active ingredient is actually in these pills, or if it is, in fact, a placebo. FDA needs to do more to protect patients against getting medication that is not in compliance with FDA standards. I am stuck with these placebo pills and cannot return to the pharmacy. It's unacceptable."

Xtampza ER (oxycodone) "Dose: 27 mg, 2X per day; Hit-or-miss, minimal pain control; Side effects include IBS issues, dizziness, nausea, irritability, crying, elevated heart rate, hot flashes & insomnia. For the first time in 10 years, my pain is NOT managed. Government & big business insurance companies are forcing patients to use an ineffective medication. The definition of 'prejudice' & 'discrimination.' All CHRONIC pain patients complain to the US government, insurance companies & any legislators playing the role of 'doctor.' Statements such as 'all opioid patients/pain patients are abusing medication & one step away from heroin addiction,' is SLANDEROUS & DISCRIMINATORY! Chronic pain patients aren't 'addicted,' they're 'dependent' on the medicine for ADL. Contact your state chronic pain advocacy group and let's start taking back control of our lives!"

Roxicodone (oxycodone) "FYI - as other sleuths such as myself have discovered: the CAMBER brand oxycodone (I get prescribed 15mg) are JUNK! For the last two months, this is ALL my mom and pop shop have had in stock allegedly, and I’m telling you, they are BOGUS or FAKES. My doc has even written on my scripts DO NOT fill with CAMBER BRAND, and the pharmacy still has, so I was stuck with them. Plus, sarcasm - it’s so easy to just transfer a CONTROLLED MED script to a NEW pharmacy - LOL - they’ll give you the junkie glare or straight up lie and say they don’t carry it. LOL. This whole nightmare has become such a blatant and laughable joke really. We (legit pain patients) are onto ALL of you playing this game with our lives. The jig is up."

OxyContin (oxycodone) "It is a real shame that the OxyContin ER has been reformulated. I started taking 40 mg 3 times a day 5 years ago after having to quit my job after 45 years of service and going on disability. It gave me so much relief that I was able to do things I was unable to do for a very long time. After the reformulation, I went through real bad withdrawals because the medication was no longer as effective as it had been. I finally got through that and now I am struggling with all of the problems I had before I started taking it. I'm still taking it but I am suffering with severe fatigue and can barely get out of bed in the morning and have very little energy. I can no longer work in my garden or walk my dogs & have to learn to live this way again!"

Xtampza ER (oxycodone) "Stay away from this drug! I was prescribed 18 mg of Xtampza ER twice a day by my pain management doctor in hopes of it replacing a drug that my prescription insurance would no longer cover. The company that developed this drug did so during the opioid crisis to deter addicts from getting high. You can ingest this drug. It says so right on the instructions! Xtampza ER is hydrocodone/Percocet based and only lasts 3 to 4 hours at the most. It also destroys the stomach, causing severe nausea and vomiting. Plus, it is super expensive! Save your money! Trust me! One of the worst opioids out there for chronic pain patients!"

Roxicodone (oxycodone) "I have to laugh when I read some of these comments. Why do I itch? Because you are taking too much! Listen, I take 7 pills a day of oxycodone 80 mg and 15 pills a day of Roxicodone 30 mg because a doctor years ago decided it would be the best thing for me, and it was the worst thing he ever did to me. I take over 210 80s a month and 450 30s, that's 660 pills a month - yes, one month! I would tell anyone, do not take these meds. I am so addicted to these now, and now with Obama and the DEA against them, doctors are being told to take people off them. Well, that's great, now I deal with the withdrawal and it's terrible. Please, please, please, if you really need the meds, take them with caution; they become so addictive, it doesn't matter who you are."

Xtampza ER (oxycodone) "I'm a long-time sufferer of chronic pain, with degenerative arthritis in my back, herniated disc, and bursitis, and arthritis in my hips. I was on morphine ER, and it wasn't working as well. I've been on the same dose for 5 years. The doctor suggested I try Xtampza, comparing it to OxyContin, which I had been on many years ago until my insurance would not cover it anymore. Well, she could not have been more wrong. I have been on Xtampza for 10 long-suffering days and have made an appointment to be put back on my morphine ER. Even though it did not take care of the pain thoroughly, it is still better than the suffering I have had to endure taking Xtampza. They need to throw this in the trash, do not waste your money! It did not work even as well as my morphine did, and on top of it, I have had constant diarrhea since taking it, and my stomach has been chewing at itself, or at least that's what it feels like."

Xtampza ER (oxycodone) "I was put on Xtampza about a year ago due to current pain meds not working as well and amount of acetaminophen I was taking. This was the 7th medication the doctor wanted, the other 6 were denied by insurance, unfortunately. I cannot cook when I first get up and am nauseous for several hours but have to force fatty food down and force it to stay down, sometimes gagging, just to take this medication that barely works. My Vicodin works better but the PA won't up the amount of those and cancel the Xtampza, she swears by it. I wish she was forced to try it for 1-2 days, see how worthless it is. That's the only way it won't be prescribed by that person again. It just doesn't work."

"RHODES OXYCODONE 30MG ARE A BUST!!! What is this rubbish?? I've been on pain meds for about 10 years, once before got rubbish brand Aurobindo oxycodone. I always make sure I don't get those but now RHODES brand is rubbish too!! I feel like my head is buzzing, feeling fuzzy, my ears are ringing, and my tongue feels numb. Pain seems controlled so far, but whatever fillers are in here are bad!! Now a second brand to avoid!! Hoping to make it through the month without any worse side effects. These are absolute garbage.. does the FDA even pay attention to what these manufacturers are putting out there??? I took them a few months back, didn't really have any issues that I recall. This time around I feel horrible!! I can't afford to miss work because I feel like rubbish, so this junk I'm taking better get me through. Bottom line RHODES brand oxycodone is pure rubbish!! Avoid it at all costs"

OxyContin (oxycodone) "My doctor prescribed OxyContin after I'd been hit by an 18-wheeler, rolled down an embankment, and fractured my spine. I'd been taking high doses of acetaminophen for years and had liver damage from Halothane gas and then acetaminophen. He wanted me to take a single-dose opioid so that I wasn't taking more acetaminophen. Taking OxyContin was incredible. For the first time in years, my pain was under control. I took it for 3 years... Until the 'guidelines' went into effect. I successfully weaned myself off with no help and without incident. However, I've been bedridden for over two years because I've now exhausted all other things that have been suggested. Injections quit working, I've been to PT numerous times, taken antiseizure meds, psychotropic meds, and now I've given up. Unfortunately, I'm back to high doses of acetaminophen just to take a shower or sit up and chat for 1/2 hr."

Xtampza ER (oxycodone) "There is a really good document all about Xtampza and how it works etc. and it is well worth the read. If you google 'FDA ADVISORY COMMITTEE BRIEFING DOCUMENT Xtampza™ ER (EXTENDED-RELEASE OXYCODONE)' you should find it. I read ALL of the reviews and this relates to many. This does have a different bioavailability than Oxycontin and it is important to have a high-fat, high-calorie (HFHC) diet to get the best result, not just food when taking. There is a lot of information, but if you did not like the med, it would possibly allow you to show your doctor why. I am just on my first day and had strange dreams and a lot of restlessness. Still, it takes 2-3 days to reach steady state, so I am not giving up. My last med, levorphanol, pushed me into serotonin syndrome and I NEED something to work. Quitting it cold turkey was very unpleasant. I am printing the whole document to read and take notes on. I hope it works, and if you try it, I hope it works for you. My pain got so bad at the doctor yesterday, my BP shot up to 196/136 with a pulse of 131."

Roxicodone (oxycodone) "Very effective. I have 3 bulging discs in my neck, 2 herniated discs in my lower back, and torn ligaments in both knees, had surgery on right, the left is next but still very painful, from a major car accident, left me disabled. I take 60 mg OxyContin 2x daily and 30 mg oxycodone 4x daily. And it has been a life saver, thanks to my compassionate Dr. who understands my chronic pain, I can actually live my life. And take care of all my adopted animals that need me."

Xtampza ER (oxycodone) "I changed pain docs & he immediately changed me from 15mg MS ER to Xtampza 27mg every 12 hours. I also take Percocet 10/325 tid. The MS wasn't working and neither is the Xtampza. I have severe chronic pain due to a near-fatal wreck 3.5 years ago; degloving of my leg, had to have arterial/muscle/skin transplants, back broken at 5 levels, all told I had 35 broken bones and internal injuries, I hurt... bad. IF the Xtampza works at all, it takes 3-4 hours to kick in & only lasts about 2-3 hours if that. I've also gained weight, have mood swings which I've never had before & horrific vivid dreams. Not impressed at all!"

Xtampza ER (oxycodone) "I beg the makers Xtampza ER to consider reconstructing this drug so that it can be taken normally (with or without food). It is difficult to eat a high-fat meal when one is in pain. Because of Xtampza dependence on high-fat food, it is quite inconsistent in the pain relief it delivers. I have done the same foods, in the same amount, at the same times and have experienced quite different results. Many of us are putting on excessive weight and also many are experiencing HBP issues while only getting pain relief about half of the time! I do like Xtampza when it works. It is fantastic when it delivers but a good 50% of the time, it does not deliver. I wish I could say I have found a foolproof way to manage this med and ensure its consistency in relieving my pain. I have not. Please listen to your customers. I feel, as many do, extremely disappointed. Thank you for your time and consideration. I hope somebody at Collegium Pharmaceutical, Inc will listen."

Xtampza ER (oxycodone) "This has to be taken with a fatty, high-calorie meal for it to work correctly, and anyone in pain knows that eating is the last thing you want to do. I’m force-feeding myself, gained 13 pounds in two weeks. Xtampza is making me have uncontrollable diarrhea and gas that I haven’t left home since I started it for fear I would poop myself in public. I get no warning; it just comes out as if I’ve lost control of my bowels. I’ve noticed a few undigested pill capsule shells as well. The nightmares! Last night I was being chased by my mother's ex-husband with a shotgun. I don’t know what happened, but I do know that’s not normal. Overall, this is a horrible medication! It doesn’t work, makes you rapidly gain weight, hurts your tummy, makes you poop your pants, can’t digest the shells, and gives you nightmares... yeah, I’m good... just give me back the meds that work already!"

"I'm a veteran, and I've been prescribed the same 15mg green oxycodone for almost 9 years since my accident in the Marines. Recently, I was given a different kind of 15 mg oxycodone that I have never seen before, U23 by Aurolife. As a chronic pain patient, I have to use every single pill in my prescription exactly as it's prescribed. And this U23 pill is terrible. I've had several different manufacturers over the years, some better than others in treating pain, but they always worked. I told my doctor, the pharmacist, and the Veteran Service Pharmacist Office how bad this med is. 'Sorry, but procurements of manufacturers are not my job.' I did research, and Aurolife sells cheaper, less effective meds. Chronic pain patients have to ration their medication to the protocol. Inferior pills ruin the quality of life. Aurolife makes terrible products, has several lawsuits, and has issues with the FDA. Yet, the VA Pharmacy purchaser only uses them now, putting millions of veterans in pain at risk and added stress."

OxyContin (oxycodone) "This 'awful drug', as reported by the media and the internet, has become the evil of prescription pain medication. But what you don't read or hear about is the thousands of people whose lives are made bearable by the use of this medication. I have had multiple major surgeries following a lifting injury 18 years ago, which left me with severe chronic pain caused by nerve damage during surgery. I have successfully taken 30 mg of OxyContin 3 times a day for 15 years without ever needing to increase the dosage. The misconception is that pain medication will take away the pain, which is wrong. Pain medication should only be used to take the edge off the pain, not eliminate it. OxyContin can be successfully used to take away enough of the pain over an 8-12 hour period for the patient to be able to at least function. Taking higher doses in order to eliminate the pain is where patients get in trouble, and can have fatal consequences."

OxyContin (oxycodone) "OxyContin seems to work really well for pain. But there are a few cons about this medicine for me. My body would get used to it, and I would need to up the dose. I went from 10mg (2x a day) all the way up to 30 mg (2x a day). It has always only lasted tops 7 hours instead of the advertised 12. It has never lasted 12 hours. When I started taking this medicine, by the 7th hour my legs would really be on fire again like clockwork. So 2 pills would last 14 hours instead of 24 like the manufacturer says. If you take this medicine, make sure you get some breakthrough medicine. Make sure you take Exlax with this medicine. You will be constipated."

"First, I would like to say I've actually read all the reviews, and I appreciate finding out what others are going through. And if this one is still standing or gets posted at all... Well, it would prove to me that we as Americans are not totally being controlled by 'the powers that be'! I've suffered with chronic pain for the past twenty-five years, my knee from a stagehand accident and the rest of my body from falling off a roof. Like a lot of you know, as we age, our bodies that have been put back together usually need another repair, and arthritis grabs hold, and it's all we can do to try to have some quality of life. Over the years, I have had various strengths of hydrocodone, oxycodone, from every company. Why is it when you try to add facts in a review, they stop you? All the drugs now, regardless of manufacture, are weaker. My opinion is those three-lettered government agencies that are politically motivated and the almighty buck. Call FDA; we deserve to know how many countries a pill."

Xtampza ER (oxycodone) "I had failed back syndrome and then surgery to fuse my spine from neck to tailbone. Huge surgery that was supposed to help my quality of life. I have more pain after surgery and my mobility is severely limited for life. Before surgery I was on OxyContin & oxycodone & I could at least have a life. Then I was switched to Xtampza - this is not working. Politics see me as a drug seeker so I must take the most tamper-proof drug out there whether it relieves pain or not. Xtampza does not. I have gained 15 pounds since starting this med and my quality of life is pitiful. Prescribers are most concerned about MMEs (morphine mg equivalents) and not at all about our ADLs (activities of daily living). It looks like I am taking a huge amount of opioids while I can only absorb a fraction of the med because I cannot force myself to eat enough to get any relief. The last thing that back pain sufferers need is obesity."

"I have been using Oxycodone for over 12 years for chronic pain and have found it effective without the need to increase the dosage. I have utilized several generic brands over the years, noting the effectiveness of some over others. Recently, however, I found they simply do not work. I’ve been telling my wife I feel as though they were sugar pills. Their effectiveness seemed to drop 80% compared to my previous prescriptions, trying both KVK and Epic brands. I actually wanted to hire a chemist to analyze the contents to see if they still contained any Oxycodone at all! I came across these comments on Drugs.com and now find, I’M NOT THE ONLY ONE."

Roxicodone (oxycodone) "Taking this medication as prescribed gives back quality of life within days of first use. The less you take, the more effective it is in pain reduction. For anybody using any opiate for recreational use, they have no idea what complications lie ahead in time. Not only losing everyday enjoyment, but also revolving around becoming physically dependent (dope sick) on the medication day in and day out. Trust me, you don't need the extra stress. Nobody who takes this medication prescribed by a doctor wants to suffer not only from chronic pain, but also from the physical and mental stress that comes with opiate use. I do not work in the medical field; this is all from personal experience. Hope this information helps out in any way!"

Xtampza ER (oxycodone) "I was born with curvature of the spine, then my job as nurses aide for about 20 years kind of finished my back off. I've been using pain meds, with varying degrees of success, for about 40 years. About a year ago the pain clinic decided to put me on Xtampza 9. They know I cannot sleep after taking pain meds as they give me energy so I take both in the morning. I get no pain relief but what surprised me was also no energy, I can sleep even after taking 2 but cannot sleep after 1/2 hydrocodone 5/325. I can take 3 days off of the Xtampza and feel no difference. 1/2 a hydrocodone 5/325 gives me better pain relief, something is not right here. Please, please fix this."

"Oxycodone immediate release tablets. 100% the formulation has been changed & they are completely ineffective. They no longer work at all. KVK Tech brand of oxycodone is selling literal 'Sugar pills' tagged as Oxycodone. Aside from leaving you with a physically sick, ill, groggy feeling, they do nothing for the pain. Guaranteed the public was NOT told about the formulation change. I have been on these meds for many years due to a very debilitating painful disease. I am now homebound & bedridden from uncontrolled pain, and the fact that whatever they are putting in these pills now is making me physically ill along with something else that makes you so extremely tired you can't function. This fake 'Opioid Crisis' is the greatest medical disaster of our time, and decades from now our children's children's children will be reading about how millions have been left to suffer without effective pain medications & the Government changing the formulation unbeknownst to the public made those who need it physically ill."
