Oxytrol (oxybutynin) "Been wearing the patches for a week now. I can tell a difference. The urge to use the bathroom greatly decreased. So glad they are OTC! The only problem I have is when I remove the patch it leaves adhesive on the skin; it's hard to get off. And waterproof would be better. Maybe they will update them sooner or later. But definitely recommended."

Oxytrol (oxybutynin) "I used 4 patches in 4 days because each morning when I got in the shower the patch came off. That was a cost of $4 a day since I had paid $16 for the box. I called Merck (manufactures product) and was told they would send me a coupon or another box of patches. That was 4 weeks ago and nothing yet. But I have decided not to use the product or recommend it to anyone."

Oxytrol (oxybutynin) "The Oxytrol does help for the urinary frequency but I am disappointed in the quality of the patch. The patch doesn't stay on for the full 4 days and it is NOT waterproof it says it is but its not I've tried taking a shower with it on and it came off. So, I'm done using them I tried 1 box of the patches and I'm not wasting anymore money on a low quality patch that doesn't even stay on like its supposed to. Very very disappointed wasted money."

"Oxybutynin has helped a lot with stopping me needing use bathroom as much. But I have severe dry mouth and throat, my voice has become raspy even. Has that happened to anyone else taking this - having a raspy voice. Not sure if it's due to the very dry mouth and throat. I've been taking this medication for almost a year now."

"I have the worst bladder ever. I have been taking oxybutynin for years. At first I thought there was no hope. It takes up to 3 months to determine how well this medication will work. Trust me it takes far more than a few days to see how this medicine will work. But it will make a huge difference. I'm 36 yrs old. I still have problems with my bladder. But my life is tolerable now."

Oxytrol (oxybutynin) "I would love to give this medicine a 10. It works great for my overactive bladder, unfortunately the irritation and itching is unbearable and I have to end up changing the patch every couple of days. I am running out of places on my body because the irritation and itching lasts a lot longer than the patch. The medicine works great but can't get past the irritation from the patch."

Oxytrol (oxybutynin) "I had a sling a few years ago for stress incontinence (that I have had since I was a kid), but it didn't do anything for the overactive bladder, obviously. I tried the patch and within 24 hours, there was a huge difference. However, the patch does not stick well. The adhesive on the edges of the patch is not good. While it does not come off, it does crinkle and wrinkle and one was clearly not adhering much at all and I doubt much medicine was delivered, which was why it did not work that day. The medicine is great, but they need to improve the actual patch."

"I've been on the oxybutynin for 6 days now for and overactive bladder. A year and a half ago (11/17) I broke my pelvis in 2 places and my sacrum. In the beginning I was unable to void on my own and they prescribed me with flomax which helped but it made me so dizzy, I stopped taking it. Fast forward to 2019 and my bladder spasms & urgency were increasing and making it really uncomfortable. So after a UDS my doctor decided to try me on oxybutynin. While it seems to help the spasms it seems to make it harder to be able to start voiding. Like it relaxes it almost to much, when I try harder to void it just leads to a spasm. That and the dry mouth, dry throat, dry eyes and sinuses are really uncomfortable. Feeling like I need to constantly clear my throat is for the birds. I'm certainly going to take myself off of it. These side effects just aren't worth it."

Oxytrol (oxybutynin) "I get bad reaction to the adhesive. The redness stays for weeks and itches so bad. I clean the area with acetone to remove the adhesive residue and then clean it with alcohol. Hope you guys will create one for sensitive adhesive like sensitive bandage. The product helps with overactive bladder I just hope the itch and redness will go away. Been using this patch for a month."

Oxytrol (oxybutynin) "After spending two years in absolute agony 24/7 with spasms of the bladder: pain, needing to urinate up to 12 times day and night and aches in my loin, I finally was given the Oxytrol patch, after no help from six prior pill-form medications. I want to thank whoever is responsible for the making, marketing and licensing of this product that changed my life back to livable after twenty-four months of literal hell. Thank you again."

Oxytrol (oxybutynin) "The patch worked. However the itching and inflamed skin was not tolerable. I wish I could bear it just to be relieved of the overactive bladder. I thought I would have a normal life. Now trying Toviaz."

Oxytrol (oxybutynin) "I absolutely love this patch! Thank you for putting it back on the shelves! I am only 45, and had trouble since my hysterectomy several years ago. In fact I was wearing a diaper to bed,not too sexy I admit! These patches are awesome and have given me back my life! They do get less sticky in the shower but I just face my body the other way, the stickies come off with no problem with goo gone or baby oil. Well worth it!"

"I am 30 and I have suffered with an overactive bladder for a little over a year now. I was embarassed to even speak with my doctor about it. I finally did and she gave me this to treat it. I noticed a change within the day! I take it morning and night. I no longer have to wake up and RUN for the bathroom because I am "going" on myself. I have been in public places and it hits out of nowhere and I just start going on myself. I started wearing pads to help but they can only hold so much. Today is day 3 without a pad or accident and I am so happy! It works. I stand by that!"

"Was prescribed this medication for OAB as my insurance didn't feel like covering anything else. Did not notice any improvement, but experienced fatigue, raspy voice, and difficulty voiding. My ability to sweat was reduced; after about two weeks, I completely stopped being able to sweat. As a person who lives in the south and routinely experiences 100+ degree weather, this was the last straw, and I am stopping."

Oxytrol (oxybutynin) "I've had incontinence for some time, but it got to where the urge would hit so hard that I couldn't move until the urge passed and I could get to the bathroom. I went to the doctor and she put me on Oxybutynin. It may be all in my head but I swear only one 5mg. pill already has worked. I didn't have that extreme urge when I got up from a nap, like I did before. I still had the urge but not as severe. Time will tell."

Oxytrol (oxybutynin) "I have had the Oxytrol patch on for only about 24 hours and understand that it takes between 24 and 48 hours to notice any improvement, so I have noticed no improvement yet. It does not stick well and I have had to put adhesive tape around the edges of the patch to keep it on. I don't know if I picked a bad spot (middle of my stomach) but certain ways it turn, it seems to pinch. I used nicotine patches years ago and it seems that if these patches were smaller and less rigid, they might adhere a little better. I like the idea of a patch lasting 3-4 days, but I would prefer using one smaller patch a day if they stuck to the skin better."

"I had 3 seizures after my 2nd dosage. 3 Emergency Room visits in one night, the nurses were not sure how I lived. Wouldn't recommend this to anyone, please stay away from it, there are plenty of other healthy options. It has caused me to have horrible PTSD."

Oxytrol (oxybutynin) "I had very bad experience with Ditropan (Oxybutynin in tablets) with unacceptable side effects. After some years my GP suggested trial of Oxybutynin patches. That was the second best thing after sliced bread. Within 2 days I went from up to 6 wetting incidents per 24 hours to 0 and in the following weeks a substantial reduction in the leaking of urine. I have now used Oxytrol for 5 weeks and the only side effect is severe constipation, which seems to be helped by changing the Oxytrol patch every 5 days instead of 3 or 4. I have no other side effects, no dry mouth, no sensitive skin where the patches have been sitting on either side of the body. So I am a very satisfied user, no more large pads, nappies, PVC pants just a normal size Tena pad."

Oxytrol (oxybutynin) "I have been using the patch for about 3 years now. I have issues sometimes with the patch not sticking. If I clean my skin well with alcohol first that helps. On occasion, I use medical tape around the edges. Overall, it sticks fine. I switch between hips. For me, that is the best area. I do on occasion experience and itchy redness but the patch is still worth the minor occasional discomfort. I find this happens if any water gets under the patch. I had urinary urgency to go to the point I do a pee pee dance. The patch has resolved this issue and I no longer have accidents. If I get a cold or flu, I pee a ton when I sneeze. This is when I have to have a pad or a pull-up. Still, for every day, not sick times, the patch has improved my quality of life. I started using the patch at 46. I am 49 now. I did notice if I take an antihistamine for allergies I have to be careful how much I take. The antihistamine seems to weaken the effect of the patch."

Oxytrol (oxybutynin) "I'm a 60 year old male experience Urinary Stress urgency really bad. I know Oxytrol says only for women, but I needed some relief. I have gotten this med approved with my doctors full approval. I have been on the patches now for just over a month and they work swell. I change the patch every 4 days and the medication seems to last me the full 4 days. I wear the patch below my belly button down in my pubic area which I keep shaved. It works well there. Stays on nicely."

Oxytrol (oxybutynin) "I really love this product. I don't have the irritation from the patch like some people are having. I did find out that if you have a problem with the patch not sticking, clean the area with rubbing alcohol before placing the patch and that helps it to stick just fine. Maybe that would also help the ones with the irritation as well. Worth a try anyway. A little crinkling noise is worth dealing with compared to dealing with overactive bladder. Another small issue is I feel that one patch is not as effective."

Oxytrol (oxybutynin) "Drug works but the patch is horrible. It is plastic and wrinkles up. The edges don't adhere well so the patch is always sticking to my clothes. I hope they fix this issue. If they do I will buy again but for now I'm going to save my money."

"Started taking oxybutynin as I was having frequent need to urinate terrible bladder spasms/pressure/discomfort and need to urinate after I had already gone. It was almost constant and depressing. Sometimes I used heating pad on pelvis to relax as much as possible. Started taking oxybutynin but it wasn't helping great deal until I started taking the extended release. That has been a life saver for me. It started working within 2 weeks even though It could take up to 6 weeks to kick in. Maybe because I had already been taking the regular oxybutynin a few weeks prior. Either way a miracle and don't think I will have to increase dose at this point. I am drinking plenty of water and trying to eat plenty of fiber to avoid side effects."
