For COPD "I was on Advair and Spiriva, then Dr. wanted to take me off steroids, so I got on Anoro. Anoro tastes so awful I wanted to try something else, so he gave me samples of Stiolto. I’m on day 4 and I have cold sores on my mouth, troubles breathing, and just feel sick. I’m going back to Anoro, even if it does taste like poison. The second day I tried the Stiolto, I couldn’t even get it in my lungs without coughing. Definitely not for me."

For COPD, Maintenance "I live now on the west coast of west Florida. A pulmonologist started me on Stiolto Respimat in 2013 after a 'cervical anterior bisection and fusion' operation. Late last week, I asked the doctor for a sample of Trellegy Ellipta sample I had heard so much about on TV. After trying it for several days, I'm going back to the Stiolto I'd used for 8 years. No comparison."

For COPD "This combination works really well for me, however, the actual delivery system is awful. It's touchy and very easy to accidentally set off. Would be much better if it were an inhaler like you see with albuterol. No, I don't like that cartridge at all. My doctor gave me a few samples to try, and I'm certain that the cartridges skipped ahead a couple of times, plus I set it off a few times. Way too expensive to waste like that. If I could rate the medicine and the delivery separately, the meds would get a 9 and the delivery a 2. The price without insurance is just absurd: $511 per cartridge."

For COPD, Maintenance "This inhaler really works great for me, from the first use on forward. My breathing is like 'brand new,' as though I never had any issues. The only noticeable side effects that I get are: 1. Hand tremor - for the first couple of hours post-dose, my hand shakes pretty rough when I am holding something or trying to write. But this abates as the day goes on. 2. Something of a stimulant effect, but it doesn't cause me any distress. It's like a smooth stimulant effect. Bear in mind that you might not get these same side effects. I'm on certain medications, and it's likely an interaction with one of those. Bottom line is that Stiolto is like a miracle inhaler for me, as far as refreshing my airways go. The once-a-day use is very convenient for me, too."

For COPD, Maintenance "On Stiolto Respimat, I’ve noticed significant improvement in breathing, but it only lasts until supper hour. Then I start to cough, so I’ve been using Advair, but it doesn’t seem to be as effective for me now. I’m going to try Breo in the afternoon. I also get bad bruising with both Stiolto, Respimat, and Breo, having been on Advair for 14 years previously."

For COPD "I have mild COPD, and I started taking this medication in July 2021. I was thrilled to be able to breathe again, plus I had lots of good energy. Now, after a bad cold in January, the Stiolto seems diminished in its effect. I feel okay for several hours, and then it's back to labored breathing if I try walking a block or more. So disappointed. Previously used Spiriva for several years. Can you build up an intolerance to Stiolto?"

For COPD "I've been on an inhaler for 4 years now. Prior to doing any inhaler, I couldn't use my self-propelled lawnmower any more than 10-15 minutes without being completely out of breath. This medication is my second type for an inhaler. My test of how good an inhaler and breathing improvement is this: breath in, breath out as forceful as I can. Take my first puff, and now I easily can hold my breath for a 60 count. Before, with the other med, I was doing well to get to 30-40 in my head count. This medication works well. As a retired carpenter, do-it-yourself guy, I can work well now without being out of breath every 10 minutes. LOL. At 78, I'm putting in a slow but steady 6-hour workday at home here."

For COPD "This made my shortness of breath worse. It doesn’t help at all. Plus, I have heart problems and take a beta blocker. IMHO, this stuff is way too expensive to not work for my lungs. I’ll take my chances with just my rescue inhaler and Qvar."

For COPD "I have been using Stiolto for about 3 years. I have found it to be very effective at stopping my COPD cough for the first 3 weeks. After that, the coughing starts back up. As soon as I start a new one, the coughing goes away. The product is good, but the medication runs out before 30 days, and for what they charge for it, it should last 30 days like it says. I would give it a 10 if it lasted 30 days."

For COPD "Stiolto works very well for my COPD. It does have one side effect that I don't like. My eyes water. The substance is oily and makes my eyelashes stick together at night. It can also turn into a solid crystal substance that I have to pull off my eyelashes. I think I will try a dose every other day as I think it may be too much for my body to process. I weigh 108 pounds and may be getting too much medicine for my body."

For COPD "I started Stiolto Respimat about 8 months ago (started on Spiriva), but was still having tightness in my chest. After my first dose of Stiolto, I had immediate relief. I still have the symptoms of COPD, but my breathing is amazing. I like the mist form very well, and it's easy to use only once a day. I am so grateful to the scientists for this medication and hope I will always have access to Stiolto."
