For Glaucoma, Open Angle "Ruined my life for a week. I could not see much because of blurred vision and loss of acuity. This is a terrible ocular pressure treatment. I did not return to the doctor who prescribed this treatment. Actually, he helped to develop the drug."

For Glaucoma, Open Angle "For 3 years on Lumigan to control IOP, but I started to gain pressure, so the doctor added Rhopressa to the mix. Ever since, I’ve had very red eyes, burst vessels in the sclera, puffiness, lid irritation, and itchiness - although the pressure DID go down initially by about 25%. After 6 weeks, the pressure is up a bit, but irritation continues. For me, this is NOT an effective nor safe drug. I caution others to use free samples or never buy more than one month's supply. Way too expensive for the result!"

For Glaucoma, Open Angle "I have normal tension glaucoma and recent pressure was way up. Asked Doc if there were any new drugs, and he gave me a trial sample of Rhopressa. After the first use, I woke up with burning, red eyes. When working on my computer at work, I noticed extreme blurriness. Also felt a little dizzy and continual fuzzy vision. This is the worst experience with any glaucoma drop I have tried over the past 10 years. I don't understand why no one can develop a more effective drug with minimal side effects."

For Glaucoma, Open Angle "I was given Rhopressa about 6 months ago along with my other 3 drops (using 6 times a day) when my pressure was higher than the doctor wanted. From the beginning, I experienced watering eyes and was told it is one of the side effects but would stop after a couple of weeks. When it didn't, I chalked it up to allergies, but now that this much time has passed and I don't have allergies in the off-season, I began looking into the fact that it is still the cause of the Rhopressa. I have been surprised at how many of the reviews I have read that are so similar to what I am experiencing. I have an appointment with my doctor next week and intend to have a conversation with her to hopefully eliminate the use any longer. Does it help the pressure? Hard to say because it still appears to go up and down. I'm tired of my eyes watering, itching, and being puffy all the time. And don't even get me started on how it has been to even get a prescription filled for it. Don't recommend it at all."

For Intraocular Hypertension "Began using this drug in addition to my current eye drop when my pressure started creeping up after long-term use of Xalatan. Been using it now for about 2 months. It has reduced my eye pressure, but I am not happy with the side effects. My eyes are always red, I've had several incidences of burst blood vessels, itchy, burning eyes, and my eyelids and the area around my eyes itch like crazy. Not sure if I want to continue the Rhopressa...will meet with my ophthalmologist at the end of August for a follow-up. I am a 58-year-old female who has been treated for ocular hypertension for 10 years."

For Glaucoma, Open Angle "I have normal pressure glaucoma, meaning my pressure target is under 10. I also have had loss of field, and surgery would be recommended if Rhopressa did not work. I have been taking it for five months. I am also using Cosopt and Lumigan. My reading acuity is good, but my distance vision has somewhat worsened. There have been no other side effects, and I am willing to continue as long as my IOP stays at target. I find it helps my acuity to skip one day a week."

For Glaucoma, Open Angle "I have normal tension open-angle advanced glaucoma. After the initial week of Rhopressa use, I experienced great discomfort. After the body adjusted to it, I was very pleased with a 4-6 point reduction in pressure. Thought this was my wonder drop for glaucoma. However, after 2 months of use, I developed excessive tearing followed by redness, lots of discomfort, and constant itching of eyelid rims. I have stopped using it and gone back to original drops. It did lower pressure significantly, but the side effects are so severe and intolerable."

For Glaucoma, Open Angle "I have had juvenile glaucoma for many years. I've been taking Rhopressa for several months, but at times I had to stop temporarily due to bad side effects, including swelling of the eyelid, blurred and distorted vision. When I went back to lumigan and my other medications, the pressure was more elevated than before starting Rhopressa. Due to the high pressure, I went back to Rhopressa. However, after a recent three-week period back on Rhopressa, the pressure is elevated again."

For Glaucoma, Open Angle "Blurred vision and loss of sharpness to the point of feeling like I could not see! Was going to see about new eyeglasses till I learned that these were side effects. Have used the drug about 6 weeks. Was using a sample, so have not bought the drug. No insurance. Do not plan to continue using, especially due to side effects, too, the retail price is prohibitive."

For Glaucoma, Open Angle "I wish there were more user reviews when I tried this drug many months ago. I had a bad experience using this drug. My eyelid margins became inflamed, eyes inflamed and red, gloss over eyes, and tearing and burning eyes. My vision was impaired, and my wife needed to do all the driving. My eyes were unsightly. Side effects continued for the duration of use. Doctor discontinued after 10 days and returned to a previously used medication with better pressure results."

For Glaucoma, Open Angle "The following day I started on Rhopressa, I was nauseous with pain in my eyes. I continued for 4 more days until I was bedridden with a severe migraine headache. I was seeing floating colored rainbows. My body ached as if I had the flu. I discontinued after one week. Two days after discontinuing Rhopressa, I felt much better. My doctor put me on Azopt in place of Rhopressa. Thus far, no side effects."

For Glaucoma, Open Angle "I have been using Rhopressa for 14 months, once a day in each eye. I too hated the initial use experience... it felt like I was pouring acid into my eye. Keeping it in the refrigerator helped. The pain upon application went away in 2 weeks. Early evening usage cuts down on the daytime eye redness. Ocusoft Plus Lid Wipes cut down on lid margin itch. Rhopressa has brought my pressures to 7 and 8 from 11 and 13. I have seen an increase in burst blood vessels in my eyes, which are uglier and more frequent than those prior to Rhopressa. I am now trying Vyzulta for a month to see what happens because I was not comfortable feeling that I was causing some type of damage to my eye, even though there was no data to support that feeling. I have been paying $100 for two 2.5 ml bottles. I purchase by phone and it is mailed to me."

For Glaucoma, Open Angle "I used Rhopressa for 14 days, and on day 15, woke up with horrible vertigo and vomiting. Didn't know what caused it and kept using it for one more week when I finally realized it was a reaction from the eyedrop. My neck ached, my shoulders, horrible vertigo, which lasted for weeks until I got it out of my system."

For Glaucoma, Open Angle "I have been prescribed already 3 eye drops. But these drops are the worst. Burning, stinging eyes, redness, and my vision blurry. Got worried because my vision is blurry. Thank you all for the reviews. Will definitely discontinue tonight. Calling the doctor on Monday."

For Glaucoma, Open Angle "Used it for 7 days. Woke up after day 5, and my eyes looked like someone punched me. I was embarrassed to go to work because I am in customer service, and I have to talk to new people every day. Asked my doc if I could discontinue the medication, and she prescribed Combigan. My eyes feel and look normal again."

For Glaucoma, Open Angle "Have been using Rhopressa once a day for a few weeks in one eye. My vision is so bad since starting this drug, I can barely drive or see my face in the mirror. It is frightening how severe the vision blurriness and lack of acuity are. Now the edges of my eyelid are red, swollen, flaky. My eye burns constantly. Nightmare in a bottle."

For Intraocular Hypertension "I have been using Rhopressa since Dec 2018. Right eye...I had corneal edema and DME...all swelling is gone! Neither my cornea doctor nor my retina doctor can explain why. My blind left eye...pressure was reduced from 33 to 18. I am very pleased with the results. I am to remain on Rhopressa and return to both doctors in Sept 2019."

For Glaucoma, Open Angle "I tried this drug 3 times. From the first use, I couldn't tolerate it. This time I tried it again, and I experienced worsened blurry vision for 3 days, eye pain, and red eyes. I'm done with this, I don’t care about the doctor getting mad, I’m mad too, it’s awful."

For Glaucoma, Open Angle "It was awful! My eyes were red, then developed an allergy to the drops, eyes swollen and red. It took a month for the swelling to go away after I stopped the drops. I couldn't open my eyes in the morning! DO NOT try these drops. I ended up with steroid ointment for the outside of my eyes and antihistamine drops for the inside of the eye."

For Glaucoma, Open Angle "I tried it, and it lowered my IOP (in combination with Lumigan), but it causes extreme redness. Switched to Simbrinza, but it had multiple side effects, so I am trying Rhopressa again. Eyes still red, but that is the only side effect."

For Intraocular Hypertension "I used Rhopressa for almost a year with no side effects, I thought. But my doctor took me off of it three weeks ago because she said it was causing loss of pigmentation or something like that. For a year, I kept complaining about a horrible increase in floaters (very difficult to see), but she said there was nothing they could do short of replacing the vitreous surgically. But in the last week, I have noticed that almost all the floaters are gone. I had a few before Rhopressa, still have a few. But I have to believe the big problem was caused by the Rhopressa. I hope it did not do other damage to my eye. I will report to the FDA."

"My doctor gave me a bottle to reduce scarring in my left eye - wet macular degeneration. My vision is great. The reason for giving this was to avoid giving shots. I took one drop at bedtime, and the next day my eye was bleeding. I called the doctor's office, and he told me to stop using it because of an allergic reaction, plus my insurance doesn't cover this drug. I looked online, it costs $280.00-who could afford to pay this amount? Anyway, it didn't work. Besides, you had a lot of bad reviews about this drug. Not good."

For Glaucoma, Open Angle "My ophthalmologist prescribed Rhopressa and asked that I visit in 6 weeks to see how it worked for me. The next day I awoke to bloodshot eyes. No other symptoms. I called and told him. His nurse advised that I continue. I did, and the redness did not go away but subsided by noon. Fast forward 5 weeks later. My right eye felt like something was in it. A few days later, it was so bad…dry and gritty. I told my doctor, and he insisted that I continue using Rhopressa. I regret ever listening to him. It was a Friday night and my eye was so bad, it felt like someone was pouring sand in my eyes…I have never experienced pain as intense as that in my life. I stopped taking the Rhopressa on my own. The pain and redness went away, but my eye is still feeling some residual effects. This was last week, so I am praying to the Good Lord that I get back to my normal self. If you experience redness, just throw that mess in the trash."

For Intraocular Hypertension "I was warned about the red stoner eyes that I'd have for about a month, but I didn't get that far. Within minutes after using the drops, I developed an allergic reaction - shortness of breath, cold tight feeling in my chest, nausea, eventually weakness. I was hospitalized for a day and a half. During that time, I used the drops a 2nd time, under medical observation, to see if that's what caused my symptoms. It was. It's been three days since the last use, and I'm just now starting to feel less weak. I'd be curious to know if others had an allergic reaction. Aside from that, my vision became cloudy, eye runny, and that is still happening. Also, eyes are still bloodshot and burning. The hospital refused to return the sample when I was discharged because it was too dangerous for me."

For Glaucoma, Open Angle "I was on these drops for about 2 months. One drop in each eye once a day along with Travatan. The pressure was low after the usage, but the side effect was significant. First, I noticed that my eyes became more teary and wet in the morning, and my eyes were extremely red all day long. Later, combined with seasonal allergies, my eyes felt irritated all the time. After 1 month of use, the pressure was under control at 12-13. At this point, my eyes were very irritated and I had puffy eyes. My doctor advised me to stop using it and prescribed steroid eye drops to calm the irritation, and just continue with Travatan. I am a 46-year-old female with hereditary glaucoma, and I have been using eye drops for over 20 years. These drops do work, but the side effects are tough."
