Avelox (moxifloxacin) for Bronchitis "This is very strong medication. I came from abroad with a bronchial infection and had to see my doctor. Cephalexin and Clarithromycin prescribed to me abroad by doctors apparently could not suppress the infection, and my doctor put me on Avelox on a 7-day course. I finished the course with great reluctance yesterday. It did relieve the symptoms to a great degree, but the side effects have been severe. I have severe loss of appetite, continue to be nauseous, lethargic, experience loss of energy, and became dizzy. I had extremely uncomfortable palpitations, tightness, and pain in the chest throughout the course and several sleepless nights. I have lost nearly 5 pounds over the seven days."

Avelox (moxifloxacin) for Bacterial Infection "I can't wait until tomorrow. I took my last Avelox today, and unfortunately, it took me this long to figure out it was making me feel so sick. Nervous, shaky, nauseous, and my whole body is fatigued. I can't concentrate on my work and feel dizzy."

Avelox (moxifloxacin) for Bacterial Infection "At first, it seemed to help. Didn't connect the rash to the medication. Then blurred vision, high anxiety, nausea, tightness in my chest, and felt extremely ill, like I was going to die or have a heart attack."

Avelox (moxifloxacin) for Sinusitis "I took a 10-day dose 1 year ago for a sinus infection, and only remember feeling much better in a short time. Since I was already miserable, I don't remember having any adverse reactions. Recently, I got a 7-day dose for another sinus infection and an ear infection, and I felt good on days 3 and 4 with only mild nausea and dizziness. Taking it on a full stomach helped. I started to feel poor on day 5 and developed a terrible headache that lasted 2 days. By day 7, I developed severe fatigue, muscle, tendon, and joint pain. I agree with other reviews, in that this is a very effective medicine, but the side effects can be severe. I am glad to hear that these go away in a few days."

Avelox (moxifloxacin) for Sinusitis "I have taken Avelox on several occasions for sinusitis and bronchitis, and within two doses, I always feel 10 times better! I am aware that dizziness and nausea can be side effects, but since I have taken it before bed, this has never been an issue. I am surprised at the number of people who try to take it during the day - take it at night and you will tolerate it just fine."

Avelox (moxifloxacin) for Pneumonia "I'm on day 4 (of 10) of Avelox for my recent bad pneumonia. I find I get nausea, slight weakness, and dizziness for about 4 hours after my dose. I can deal with it, but it gets annoying after the first few hours. Overall, it seems to be making my lungs better."

Avelox (moxifloxacin) for Bacterial Infection "My second time taking Avelox for pneumonia. The benefits outweigh the side effects. I had most of the side effects associated with this medication: feeling extremely weak and tired, anxious, fast heartbeat, nausea, vomiting, headache. However, it cleared up my pneumonia."

Avelox (moxifloxacin) for Sinusitis "Recurring sinus infections sent me to the doctor again after a Z-pack didn't work. Brought home the Avelox and was scared to take it after reading other people's reactions and problems. Have taken three pills now, and I am noticeably better. Sinus headache gone, and even my ears feel better too (reduced tinnitus). Previously took Levaquin years ago and had some anxiety, so I was expecting not to feel good with the Avelox. Only problem thus far is minor nausea, but I just take it with food and stay upright and busy as to not notice the wooziness. No serious reaction, and the nausea is tolerable, so I will continue to take it."

Avelox (moxifloxacin) for Bronchitis "It is one of the most powerful medications I have taken for an infection, but it works immediately-which rocks! Yet I wondered why I had trouble sleeping, felt anxious (almost to the point of an anxiety attack), and nauseated. Now I know it was a side effect. It's good, but be prepared for some of the side effects."

Avelox (moxifloxacin) for Pneumonia "I've been on a 7-day schedule of Avelox, it has worked pretty well to clear up the bacterial infection in my lung. However, I have experienced pretty bad diarrhea that started about 3 days into the schedule. The rest of the symptoms have been mild, such as nausea, feeling cloudy, etc. I am really looking forward to taking the last pill, this medicine's side effects are not too pleasant."

Avelox (moxifloxacin) for Pneumonia "Felt it start to open my lungs after the first dose. Oh, but how dizzy and nauseated I felt. Side effects wear down towards the end of the day (about 10 PM... I take the pill at about 9 AM). Powerful medicine, QUICK results, pretty strong side effects."

Avelox (moxifloxacin) for Sinusitis "I suffer from sinusitis probably 3-4 times a year, and every time I go to my regular doctor, he would prescribe amoxicillin. I found this drug to take up to 2-3 days to begin its effect, but also had to deal with 3 tablets a day for 10 days. Recently, I contracted it, and amoxicillin failed to rid me of my sickness, so my doctor gave me Avelox. This is my third day on it, and almost all the symptoms have disappeared. Probably the only problem I've experienced with this is mild to moderate nausea when first ingesting the pill. This lasted anywhere from 5-10 minutes. Other than that, even on the first day, I could feel myself feeling better. Definitely will choose this route next time."

Avelox (moxifloxacin) for Sinusitis "The medicine worked great to counter my sinusitis, and I was breathing better after just one dose. But the side effects are almost unbearable: nausea, dizziness, headache, lightheadedness, dry mouth, and constipation. The dizziness and lightheadedness kick in after about an hour of taking the pill and last for about 5 hours. Very difficult to function normally and trying to work while taking this medicine."

Avelox (moxifloxacin) for Bronchitis "Found this to be a very intense medicine. I am 64 and have a history of chronic bronchitis due to non-repaired scoliosis and am quite susceptible to respiratory issues. On day 1 and 2, my chest and the ability to breathe were tight and restricted. On day 3, much improvement, but followed with severe abdominal cramping and nausea with dry mouth. I have lost 6 pounds and feel quite weak and dread the next dose. I am on it for 10 days."

Avelox (moxifloxacin) for Sinusitis "I took a second pill and had a severe reaction to it in less than 25 minutes. It started with nausea, hives, extremely dizzy and lightheaded, slurred speech, shortness of breath, rapid heartbeat and rise in blood pressure and heart rate, severe anxiety and weakness."

Avelox (moxifloxacin) for Sinusitis "I was put on Avelox for a horrible sinus infection and chest congestion. My doctor never mentioned any of the possible side effects. Within an hour of taking the first dose, I became very tired, weak, and I had heart palpitations, and I had overwhelming anxiety. I am now on day 5, and the side effects have only progressed. The joint pain and muscle cramping, heart fluttering, fatigue, muscle weakness, nausea, blurred vision, loss of appetite, and tremors are enough to scare anyone. It has helped my congestion and sinus infection, but there are other antibiotics that are just as good and so much safer."

Avelox (moxifloxacin) for Sinusitis "I have chronic sinus infections that are not unbearable...mostly annoying. I was prescribed Avelox recently and am halfway done with my dose. I have had some seriously horrible reactions to this drug. Granted, it is obviously helping with my sinus infection, but the dizziness, nausea, lightheadedness, dehydration, and overall sick feeling are worse than the sinus infection itself. I am glad that I will no longer have an infection in my body, but isn't there another way? This is awful!"

Avelox (moxifloxacin) for Sinusitis "I have never reacted to an antibiotic, ever, in my whole life. Until now. Within 30 minutes of taking Avelox, I was experiencing nausea, sweats, shortness of breath, and heart flutters. I was so weak I had to be carried to bed. Then the vomiting started, it was short-lived but violent. It also has many NSAID contraindications, so be careful. Especially if your sinus infection is very painful, watch what you take. Glad to see it's worked for some, but for me."

Avelox (moxifloxacin) for Bronchitis "I was prescribed this medication for bronchitis, and it is hands down the most terrible medication I have ever taken. Within an hour of taking the first dose, I had nausea and vomiting so bad that I ended up in the emergency room, and even after receiving fluids and IV Phenergan, I was still dry heaving. Never again!"

Avelox (moxifloxacin) for Sinusitis "Have had 2 sinus surgeries in the past 5 years. This is the first sinus infection since my last surgery (2 months of sinus infection), and I just started Avelox yesterday. So far, not much of a side effect, have some nausea (but that sure beats another surgery). Good luck, all."

Avelox (moxifloxacin) for Pneumonia "I am on Day 2 with Avelox for pneumonia. The worst side effect for me is the nausea. It hits hard and fast. I do feel a difference in my breathing, but my stomach is so riled up now that it is difficult to even move. So far, no other side effects."

For Bacterial Infection "An ENT prescribed me Moxiget 400 mg (Moxifloxacin) after I got a sore throat and fever. This medicine started giving me stomach cramps the moment I took the very first tablet. It also caused severe headaches, dizziness, gas formation, nausea, and loss of appetite. Although my mother and I only took it for 5 days, it caused these similar reactions in both of us. This is the most pathetic medicine ever."

For Sinusitis "I am on day 6 of a 7-day course of Avelox. My chest has cleared up, but my sinus pain continues. I have quite severe side effects, though... lowered heart rate, dry mouth, and cold hands and feet for about an hour post. Also, nausea on and off. Extreme tiredness, mental confusion, some mood changes, and irritability. These symptoms do get better, however, as the day goes on."
