Nasonex (mometasone) for Sinus Symptoms "First of all, it didn't really help me, I still suffered as much after I used it a few times for a sinusitis that was about to start. Second, it caused a huge cold sore to burst on my lip. I only had a cold sore once before (the first time I was infected) so I don't have have much doubt that Nasonex is what caused it."

For Sinus Symptoms "My doctor prescribed this product to help post nasal drip which was affecting my ears. After the first couple of days of using this product I felt dizziness, really bad anxiety and flu like symptoms. I was so tired I could barely climb up the stairs. Also felt like it brought on symptoms similar to a bladder infection. I saw a doc to test for a bladder infection and she said it’s a possible side effect of this medication. I’ve been off this product for a week now and the anxiety, racing heart and dizziness is better but still lingering"

For Sinus Symptoms "I was prescribed Mometasone for chronic sinusitis. I used it on and off for a few months but felt it was making my headaches worse and causing anxiety. Didn’t seem to ease the original problem . Original sinus headaches were less severe than headaches after taking medication. Encouraged to continue by GP and that my headaches would improve. Instead the anxiety increased with heart palpitations. Burning feeling in throat and tightness. The worst side effect has been recent insomnia. Awake almost all night. Mind anxious. Feeling need to wee throughout the night. After several nights of this I have stopped taking it. Will not take it again. Thanks to others for sharing their experience as I thought I was becoming mentally unwell. Why aren’t gp’s aware of this?"

For Sinus Symptoms "I started off with blurred vision I thought it was my contact lenses so I made an appointment at my opticians for another check up which I not long had had. My nose felt like it was being wedged open and like a hang over feeling in my head last straw was not an hour after I used it I went upstairs I felt light headed over one eye I sat on the bed and flopped back I was so dizzy this frightened me so I told my GP who said don't take it again. I am just waiting for it to leave my system its left me nervous and feeling a bit down I have only used it for a week never again"

Sinuva (mometasone) for Nasal Polyps "Sinuva is basically a Metamosone drip. If you’re sensitive to this steroid, run away! Vivid dreams, anxiety and depression tsunami! I have to wait 76 more days for the steroid implants to dissolve....torture! 24 hour anxiety brain fog! How I wish I knew more about this product before I let my ENT implant them in my sinuses. Mometasone is a beast of a drug!"

For Allergic Rhinitis "I was prescribed this by my GP when diagnosed with allergic rhinitis which I had been suffering from for a long time and nothing I used was working. Once I started it for the first few days I had a bit of blurred vision for an hour or so but after that no side affects and my allergies started to be under control. I use this alongside antihistamines and finally my allergies are starting to be controlled so I would recommend to anyone who is struggling"

For Allergic Rhinitis "Using mometasone nasal spray, and now both sides of my nose feel closed up so I can't get air in unless I pull it open. Wasn't like this before. Also stings nose and throat. Not going to continue using."

For Allergic Rhinitis "I have used Nasonex Allergy nasel spray (Mometasone) quite a few times for very brief periods. This product does work instantly for my Allergic Rhinitis, which can be a relief when you have a constantly running nose every day. Unfortunately all the times I have used Nasonex it has resulted in me experiencing instant and severe depression, which I normally suffer from, so I stop taking Nasonex and then I am happy (but with a runny nose). How come depression or sadness are never mentioned as possible side effects on any health sites?? I thought it was only me until I read some reviews on this page."

Nasonex (mometasone) for Sinus Symptoms "The Nasonex spray dispenser says 65 sprays. I've been spraying only twice in each nostril per day, and have had it for 2 weeks and it ran out, so only 56 sprays. I have no issue with the medicine, because it works, it's just the short changing of 9-10 sprays to save money their end but at a cost to the customer."

Sinuva (mometasone) for Nasal Polyps "Am having implants removed next week. I have had morning headaches, a sinus infection and for the past month one of the most horrible smells in my sinuses. I have had an increase in brain fog. After reading above comment I was shocked to read another patient had this side effect. I was getting ready to have tests done for dementia. I will now wait a few months post removal. I must say these sinus implants helped and first, after years and years of treatment. By the second month my body started reacting to them. Morning headache Bad taste all the time Bed smell all the time Brain fog- loss of words Sinus infection treated for 14 days I will not participate again in sinus implant."

For Sinus Symptoms "I tried this on and off for allergies in summer and sinus problems in winter. It kind of works in summer for allergies. but in winter where my nose is not running but swollen and blocking probably cause of dry air, it makes everything worse. I feel more dry, more ear pain, more headache, and it makes my throat ache too. I also have a suspicion that it makes health conditions worse if there is a virus like common cold involved, as every time take mometasone I start to have yellow thick mucus in the morning. This is especially worrying with the corona pandemic at the moment so I would be careful. The best in winter is saltwater spray and azelastine if nose is itching. and I use nasic when I have a cold. But many times I don't know if do I have a cold, or an irritated nose from dry air or an allergic reaction to dust. It is a nightmare, since 20 years my nose gets worse blocking and drying and headaches get worse. I feel like all this sprays can't be good for the nose specially when they contain preservatives like mometasone does."

For Allergic Rhinitis "Seemed to help with the pain and aches from sinus and ears. But.. I developed a regular very noisy wheeze inhaling (lower right lung area on deep breaths) which was audible to people sitting next to me over the couple of days taking the spray. Enough to concern me and research whether the spray had caused it. It can be a rare side effect. Going to GP to discuss."

For Sinus Symptoms "I've had sinusitus for at least 10 years now. Had turbinate reduction in both nostrils as they were nearly always blocked specially while sleeping. It helped 25% in one and perhaps 50% in the other. After complaining again to ENT he put me on the spray. It helped but I noticed I was getting headaches if I took to much. Also I have had 3 ear infections in one ear at least once a year where I need drops to clear. Recently I went on a road trip out of province and forgot my spray. Didn't bother to get any, so I went without. Noticed my nose got clogged again but no headaches for 3 weeks. When I came back I loaded up on my spray and got instant migraine that lasted the day. I will try to ween myself off this stuff and perhaps use a saline spray. Im 67 male."

For Allergic Rhinitis "Tried this medication for my post nasal drip, however even though it relieved my symptoms of post nasal drip it gave me a really bad cold, chills ,headache and caused me to feel lethargic. I will not use this product again and will try and find another product that will treat my postnasal drip without any of these side effects."

For Sinus Symptoms "Two daily sprays in each nostril for severe congestion (unable to breath out of nose) Works great for this issue, it's amazing how good it feels to not breathe like a dog anymore, but does have side effects. The worst being heart palpitations and my tolerance for caffeine/stimulants. Before taking this drug I was able to drink soda/fizzy drinks with no problem but now must monitor these carefully. Drank too much before I knew and had extremely strong palpitations that lasted over 4 hours. If I feel them now they will settle quickly if I start moving and burning some energy. Occasionally (once every 3 months roughly) I will go through a 3-4 day period of having sore sinuses and bending down is uncomfortable thanks to the pressure, didn't ever have this before. Last noticeable side effect is the odd spell (two 2 day periods) of vertigo which I have never experienced before until taking mometasone, which would make my head spin randomly while standing and even while laying down."

Nasonex (mometasone) for Allergic Rhinitis "It is a nightmare!!! Our pedia prescribed nasonex for my 1 yr 10 mos baby because he is having a difficulty of breathing at night. When he start using nasonex everything went wrong my baby nose has a very loud sound when he is inhaling and difficulty of breathing which is getting much worst. I am worried it could be life threatening because he cannot breath. We don't have normal sleep anymore. When I stopped giving nasonex the bad side effect is lessen although he still have trouble of breathing. I pray to God that everything will get normal soon."

For Sinus Symptoms "Prescribed this for a month two sprays in each nostril once a day. I could not sleep at night after two weeks even though I was very tired. Towards the end, I was getting to sleep around 3.30 am. I stopped taking it after 3 weeks and instantly slept fine again. It did stop my itchy ears but not the earache."

For Allergic Rhinitis "Had been suffering from allergic rhinitis for years. I suffer from perennial rhinitis, always having a blocked nose, itchy eyes, and nose. And sometimes a runny nose too. This nasal spray has helped a lot, at least in opening one nostril, and I advise everyone to try nasal irrigation. Take care."

I stopped after 4 days thanks to these reviews and other information I had a chance to check into. I was happy with suppressed symptoms but decided to shorten the duration to avoid negative side effects."
