Miconazole topical for Vaginal Yeast Infection "Placed the vaginal insert inside my lady bits, and then applied the external cream and waited. About 20 minutes later, the whole area started to feel warm and tingly, as if I had rubbed a vapor rub all over my honey pot. At first, I was nervous not knowing if this was normal or how intense this “heat” would get. After about 15 minutes, when it leveled out and stopped increasing in intensity, I actually didn’t mind it. It kind of felt interesting and not at all unpleasant. And the best thing is it actually worked and got rid of the infection."

Miconazole topical for Vaginal Yeast Infection "Ok, so I totally get what everyone is saying. Day 1 was THE WORST. After I applied it, I laid in bed almost crying because it was so uncomfortable. It was like a tingly, burning itch deep inside that I could not get to. My boyfriend thought I was dying, and I ended up in the shower rinsing it off. After talking to some coworkers who get them all the time, she said my vaginal area was probably so raw. I am currently sitting here on day 2. So much better! Just some mild itching! I promise it gets better! Stick with it, girls!"

Miconazole topical for Vaginal Yeast Infection "UPDATE: Day 2. So far, night #2 hasn’t been bad. No burning. Very slight itching. Definitely tolerable. Will go forward with the rest of treatment. Will update you all if I make it to day 7 or not. :) *** I remember using this in the past with no side effects, not sure what the difference is now. Maybe because I’m prego? Anyway, I’m 27 weeks, and my Dr. advised for me to try this first because the pill will pass through the placenta. There is a tingling sensation, which I can handle. It’s the itching driving me insane. Fortunately for me, no itching or burning on the inside, it’s the vulva. Wish I hadn’t rubbed any on it prior to insertion, lol. The itching seems to be subsiding gradually, not as quickly as I’d like though, lol. I will try night 2 and then from there decide if I will take the pill instead or not. 2/23/2020"

Miconazole topical for Vaginal Yeast Infection "I got the Monistat 7-day treatment. The first night was a bit rough for me. About 30 minutes after insertion, I felt the burn. It lasted about 45 minutes. After that, the burning went away. I'm on day 3 now and I kind of feel a little tingly feeling, but nothing more. Overall, it's working because at first I was itchy, burning, and had a discharge. Now all that is gone except for the little tingly feeling. After I got past the first day, it's smooth sailing for me. My yeast infection is almost gone. I would recommend it."

Miconazole topical for Vaginal Yeast Infection "First night of using Monistat 7 was extremely uncomfortable; after inserting the cream, it started to tingle, and it felt a bit disturbing. But then it started to feel itchy inside, then the burning started, and OMG it was unbearable. I wish I could have washed it out of my vagina. I had to stick it out but was afraid to even insert the second dose."

Miconazole topical for Vaginal Yeast Infection "After reading all of these terrifying comments, I was so prepared for this to burn me so bad that I would want my vag to fall off, but it didn’t. I was awake for at least an hour before I fell asleep after putting it in, and it tingled and itched just a little bit, but nothing more than that. I found that it itched more when I got up to use the bathroom really quick after 30 minutes of having it in. Definitely wear a pad when using this product, as it does leak quite a bit, less if you put it in higher, they said. I’m only on day one of this though, so if anything changes, I will definitely be back to update everyone."

Miconazole topical for Vaginal Yeast Infection "My doctor prescribed this to me in high school when you had to have a prescription to get it. I have been using Monistat 7, Monistat 1, and Monistat 3 since high school, and I am now 47. I have never had a burning sensation until this time. I honestly believe someone has tampered with this product, as Monistat is not supposed to burn. You can insert it anytime. The only thing normally was that it would leak. No burning. Depending on how bad the yeast infection was, it might tingle, but that was it. Big pharmaceutical probably bought them out to keep us paying for prescribed medicine. This time my applicators were blue instead of white... Dead giveaway. Monistat applicators have always been white. If you get blue, don’t use."

Miconazole topical for Vaginal Yeast Infection "Just put in the 3rd dose of this (I’m using the cream), and honestly, I think it's working great. When I put in the 1st dose, I felt a little tingly for about an hour and then fell asleep fine. The next morning, I was still a little itchy, but for the most part, it got a lot better. When I did my 2nd dose, I felt nothing at all (no burning or tingling), although the cream was a little bit weird to have in me (squishy feeling). The day after my 2nd dose, I felt almost 100% better, and I probably would've been fine without a 3rd dose. I’m 19, and this was my first yeast infection. I’m pretty sure my infection was a pretty mild one too. Hopefully, it cured me completely!"

Miconazole topical for Vaginal Yeast Infection "Miconazole, also used in Monistat, yes, is one of the worse feeling creams for a yeast infection. I & several others have switched to another cream called Clotrimazole instead. It is literally the opposite. It has NO BURNING or tingling. I don't know how people stand Miconazole or Monistat. It's like putting yourself through all that pain. NOW PLEASE UNDERSTAND, this medicine may take 2 doses, where Monistat may take 1 use. This means if you use Monistat 3, then you would need to buy two of the Clotrimazole 3 to do the job typically. If you buy the 1-day, then you would need to buy two 1-day boxes of this. It's milder, so it takes a little longer, BUT... THERE IS NO PAIN! So I say give me pain-free results. I'll take more days."

Miconazole topical for Vaginal Yeast Infection "If you can handle your lady biscuit to be on fire, this is right for you! Their 'mild burning' as a side effect is not mild. It feels like I wiped with a napkin full of hot sauce. Oh my gosh, it's TERRIBLE! I got this to treat my yeast infection, hoping to avoid oral capsules. Applying: uncomfortable, but manageable. The cream they include helped at first. An hour in: Eh, it was sorta burning, but I was still able to manage. I figured, 'hey, this must be the mild burning they warned about.' Four hours in, and it feels like I used Icy Hot on my vagina! It's burning, tingling, & I can literally feel my heartbeat in my vagina! Don't even get me started on peeing - it feels like I'm peeing ghost pepper! Tried showering, then tried to rinse the medication off. Literally to the point of possibly going to the emergency room."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I usually only get yeast infections when I'm on antibiotics for something else. They are usually minor, so I hate to waste a doctor visit on them. I've used the generic brands and the name brand of this product. I don't want to deal with 7 days of treatment, so I go for 3. A bit pricier, but I got lucky this last time and it was on sale at Walgreens with their rewards card. Anyway... just inserted the first dose. It caused me some slight tingling and discomfort at first for a few minutes, but nothing too bad, and after a few minutes, it subsided. I recommend it."

Miconazole topical for Vaginal Yeast Infection "I saw all these reviews talking about the burning and pain. I didn’t experience any of that. My yeast infection wasn’t the worst I’ve ever had, but it wasn’t the most subtle. What I did was take ibuprofen and Benadryl like an hour before. I felt some tingling, but nothing alarming. The Benadryl made me nice and sleepy, so I guess I may have slept through it. I’m on my second day, and my symptoms have decreased wonderfully. Didn’t itch once."

Miconazole topical for Vaginal Yeast Infection "Ladies, please don't use this. I’ve used Monistat 1 and 3 before, and I’ve never experienced what I am right now. Usually, it’s normal for it to feel a little bit uncomfortable and tingle a little bit. But after 2-3 minutes after inserting the cream, my coochie was on literal fire. I tried laying in my bed to see if the pain would go away... it didn’t. It got so bad that I had to hop in a cool bath. Of course, that didn’t work, if anything, it made the burning sensation 20 times worse. I was in the bath for 30 minutes, crying my eyes out. It got so bad that I almost went to urgent care. This is my first day taking this, and it will be my last. I’m going to the doctors or quick care in the morning. Listen to these reviews, ladies, please. I’m still in pain right now. 10/10 wouldn’t do this stuff again!!!"

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I felt like I was starting to get a yeast infection while taking antibiotics. My symptoms weren't too bad, and I wanted to treat it before it got horrible. I experienced an annoying itch and discharge. I took a generic version of Monistat 3 from Walgreens. Night 1: felt a tingly sensation when treatment was applied. No burning. Night 2: no tingling, and the next day felt back to normal. Night 3: just like the previous night, and the next day was completely fine. It's been 3 days since I did the last treatment, and no symptoms. Worked great."

Miconazole topical for Vaginal Yeast Infection "First day using Monistat 7, and it does itch very badly inside, but I believe that's because the medication is doing what it's designed to do. It is treating all infection and yeast buildup. Very uncomfortable tingling feeling in the vagina. However, for the unbearable itch on the outside of the vagina, the cream has worked on that so far with instant relief. Looking forward to continuing this until day 7. I put off treating this for a week. Also, I believe if you take too long to treat the infection, it plays a part in the burning and itching sensation you experience the very first day you start treatment. Hang in there, ladies, and take care of your vagina."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "The miconazole vag is not that bad, but it does burn. I’m pregnant and my doctor recommended Monistat 7. The first day it did burn, but I could take the burning. Day two it isn’t as bad, but still has a tingling sensation. Idk if it burns because I scratched my area then inserted the cream, but it has gotten better in two days."

Miconazole topical for Vaginal Yeast Infection "The first night using Monistat 7 was definitely painful, but it only itched/burned for three minutes after insertion. The second day was much the same, but once those three minutes were up, I just felt relief from the swelling and itchiness. My tip: insert the cream as deep as you can. With the applicator shape, this can be hard. Definitely use gravity to help you here. I do it lying down with my hips elevated and slowly push down on the applicator. I usually take up to a minute at this step. It ensures that nearly none of the cream leaks after insertion. I think this is a big reason why I haven't had a similar reaction as other reviewers. Once I'm in bed, I lie on my side. The first night was definitely intense, but it passed quickly and I was able to have a full night's sleep. I'm on night three now and after this insertion I only had a warm/tingling sensation. Most of my YI symptoms are gone now (I will be completing the whole course)."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "Oh my gosh!! I never write reviews or anything. But this is horrible! I'm 26, and the last time I had a YI, I was 17, and I swear the medication wasn't this bad. I got the 3-day treatment, and I just used the first dose. 5 mins later, I felt tingling, and 10 mins later, stinging and itching. 20 mins later, she is on FIRE. There is no one home, so luckily my yells aren't bothering anyone. My hands are literally shaking as I write this. I will never do this again. I will stick to the Greek yogurt tampon."

Miconazole topical for Vaginal Yeast Infection "My screen name should say it all. But in case you're wondering, after inserting the seven-day cream, I experienced itching and tingling all over my body. I ceased using it and saw my OB-GYN, who prescribed clotrimazole-betamethasone and fluconazole for my YI. The pain was still so bad I was on ice, so my doc called in a bottle of Tramadol. Finally, I got some relief. An allergist patch tested my back with all sorts of chemicals, including all of my vaginal creams. My only allergy diagnosed by him was Monistat 7."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "Okay, ladies, just try to stick through it. I am using Monistat 3-day, and it does burn and itch like hell. But let me tell you, my bits were burning like crazy. Now I'm on day two, and I woke up this morning, the itching and tingling are gone, so it does work - just don’t let it drip out! Till you get in the shower in the morning, as when it leaks out, that’s when it starts burning."

Miconazole topical for Vaginal Yeast Infection "Absolutely recommend suppositories over cream! This is my second YI in my lifetime, and the first time I used the 3-day cream Monistat. Worst mistake ever! Never again. It makes the burning and itching 1000x worse, but it did clear the YI up for me. Should have read the reviews before. But this time, a year later, I bought the ovules or suppositories, and I inserted them about an hour ago, and so far only a little bit of tingling, but it feels like it is working."

Miconazole topical for Vaginal Yeast Infection "I am using Monistat 7 for a yeast infection suggested by my doctor (I was on antibiotics for a sinus infection that, of course, gave me a yeast infection). I was very hesitant at first because I am very sensitive down there and prone to UTIs, and I finally haven’t had a UTI in a while, and of course, this yeast infection happens. Anyway, I used it, and I suggest being as close to your bed as you can so the product doesn’t leak out. Laying down helps avoid that. It’s going to burn. I found it burned for me for at least an hour and 30 minutes. It did get better in that time, but the first 30 minutes was nothing I’ve ever experienced. Just very itchy and burning, and I felt like tingly, if that makes sense, like my legs felt squirmy... but I will say it’s been 4 hours later, and I can feel some sort of relief, which is awesome. Hopefully, this will knock it out. And like all the ladies said before in their reviews, just be strong, you got this."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "Okay, so I am 18, just letting you know, but here is how this is going for me. Day one, I followed everything correctly but overlooked the burning part. When I put in the cream, I was in EXTREME PAIN from the burning, but after about an hour, it went away and was completely gone. Throughout that day, I realized I had more discharge than I have ever had, and I guess that’s normal with this. I just put in the cream for the second night, and I feel a tingle but not a burn. I think this works, but the first day burning is terrible."

Miconazole topical for Vaginal Yeast Infection "So I have had a yeast infection for quite some time and was told to get Monistat 7. As soon as I inserted it into my vagina, it tingled then burned like lava. LIKE, OH MY GOODNESS. But on day 3, I have not had any more symptoms of my yeast infection. No itchiness, no burning, or nothing. It works, but OMG, could they make a cream that doesn't feel like lava inside you."
