For Vaginal Yeast Infection "In the spirit of Game of Thrones’ final episodes and Arya being a badass, I like to think that were she confronted by the god of death, she would fling a filled applicator of this unholy concoction at death’s face and scream ‘not today!!’ and then the god of death’s face would burn, itch, melt, and burst into a thousand flames of agony. Seriously, it’s like one of Daenerys’s dragons got loose in my vagina and is clawing and fire-breathing on its way out. I know this is very silly, but it’s all I can do to keep from screaming and writhing in my bed like a possessed banshee because this stuff is mutilating my insides. In short, if the doc prescribes you antibiotics, just straight up ask him or her to circumvent the nonsense and prescribe Diflucan while they’re at it because antibiotics lead to yeast and yeast leads to Monistat and Monistat leads to wailing in agony. BRB gonna go put ice cubes up my bajingo now."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I am so happy to see these reviews! Not happy for everyone, just glad to know I am not alone! I used Monistat 1 last night before bed (June 3rd). So it has been 24 hours. Today around lunch, I started itching like CRAZY!!! I ended up going back to the store for Vagisil cream and wipes just for some extra relief. I am still itching, but they help. How long does it take to stop?! I've read between 3 and 7 days? Anyone on the tail end? Feeling relief? Please tell me it gets better... wow! Good luck, ladies!!"

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I used the Equate generic brand of the Monistat one-dose egg, same exact dosage and ingredients compared to Monistat, along with the external cream that comes with the egg. Two hours after inserting it, an increase in burning and itching happened. It wasn’t unbearable like some of these reviews are saying. I was able to fall asleep still, and when I woke up the next morning, I had no itchiness in my vagina or yeast infection feeling. It’s been a week now, and my infection is gone. If you are sensitive and can’t handle an increase in uncomfortability, then I suggest you see a doctor. If you don’t want to end up with a bill, just use Monistat over-the-counter and be a little bit more uncomfortable for a few hours to kill off your yeast infection. 10 out of 10, I would recommend it to someone to use."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "Don't do it! I inserted the Monistat last night at 9 pm and woke up at 4:30 am and 7 am with the most intense burning and itching. Sat on the toilet with a washcloth, and reading these reviews is the only thing that makes it better. Praying for you."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "Monistat should be ashamed for putting this on shelves. I took it at about 10 pm and woke up at midnight feeling like someone had sprayed an entire can of pepper spray on my vagina, then lit a match. I literally googled “unbearable burning, itching, and pain after Monistat.” DO NOT USE IT. I am writing this review while laying in the shower, vagina up, trying to rinse this godforsaken stuff out of my vagina."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I have previously used Monistat 3 before, and it worked perfectly fine for me, so I thought I would have no problem using Monistat 1 this time around. I was WRONG. Do not take the risk of buying this. I woke up to extreme burning and itching, far worse than the actual yeast infection. I wish I could go back a few hours and tell myself not to take it. Still trying to figure out how to deal with the pain."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "It works, but holy mother of God, this stuff itches and irritates like crazy... for the first little while. Shortly after inserting it, it starts itching/irritating like crazy. I suggest just laying down for as long as you can stand it (about an hour), and then get up to pee. When you do, a great amount of the Monistat will leak out of the vagina. Clean yourself up, take a deep breath, and prepare to feel much, much better in about 15 minutes. Not all cures are pleasant. Suck it up. This stuff works."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "So I bought Monistat 1 and read the reviews. I was so nervous to try this, but I really didn't want to go to the hospital, so I tried it anyway. The first hour was okay, but after that, oh man, it was pretty intense. Lots of itching and burning, and I just sat really still, and then when that was too much, I laid down very still... it lasted for a couple of hours, but to be honest, it was bearable. I mean, it did burn, but the infection kind of requires that, I think, lol!!! This morning had lots of discharge but no burning or itching. I'm pretty swollen there though, but this is literally the next day. I would use this again. I really don't like how uncomfortable I was for the time I was, but I'd rather take this than go to the hospital. Our bodies are different, so don't be too thrown off by negative comments."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "Stay away!! I used Monistat over a decade ago. Some reviews say that the burning is because it’s not a yeast infection. Untrue! This Monistat is a different formula, and whatever they put in it causes extreme burning! My labia minor and major burned in ways I cannot describe. The inflammation is not minimal! Please don’t purchase this product. On day 1, there was some mild discomfort and itching. Day 2 was by far the worst as the product began to slowly seep out, and I was up all night in pain and agony. Day 3, the “chunks” of the egg start to come out, and I finally felt relief. It is now Day 4, and there is some itching, but barely noticeable. Don’t use this product. Please! The FDA needs to investigate this."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I told myself if this medicine ended up working, I would leave a positive review because at one point I was doubting it. I was on antibiotics, and a yeast infection quickly followed: white discharge with no odor, itching at the opening and inside me, and vaginal soreness. I felt like I got kicked between the legs! I dealt with it for a few days, taking AZO, before I turned to Monistat 1. Let me tell you, the first day and after, I did not think it was working and started to worry I had something worse. Day 3, the discharge was the absolute worst it's been, day 4 still wasn't cleared up. I washed with some coconut oil down there and let it sit before rinsing. Random and first time I tried it through this week, and then finally today, day 5, the infection appears to be gone, no discharge, not a single itch! I also got my period today, maybe that's why, or maybe the coconut oil helped. Either way, I think Monistat 1 works, just give it a good couple of days like it says. Best of luck!"

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "After reading all the bad reviews, honestly, I was scared to try it, but after trying it, I have nothing but good comments. It did burn for about 1 hour, but it went away, and it wasn't bad at all. The more severe the infection, the more it is going to burn and itch, keep that in mind. I used it overnight, and by morning, my infection was gone! Amazing product :)"

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I was a bit skeptical about trying this one because of all the reviews saying it caused burning and itching worse than the infection itself. But I had the worst burning and itching sensation ever and didn’t have access to a doctor right away, so I had no choice. I was up all night because I was in so much pain. Then finally at 7 am, I went to Walmart to buy this product. I inserted the little egg at 7:43 am. And I put the cream everywhere on the outside. I instantly felt relief and was able to go to sleep. It’s now 5:16 pm, and I’m still feeling okay. Still a little discomfort, but a lot better than what I was feeling before. I read from the reviews it takes a couple of days for it to fully disappear, so hoping these next few days fly by."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "These reviews are crazy. I usually don’t do reviews, but I felt it was necessary to share my experience. So I had been diagnosed with BV and was prescribed antibiotics. After finishing the antibiotics, the itching and burning were still present. I researched to find that taking antibiotics could cause a yeast infection. I bought probiotics, and I also bought the Monistat 1. My yeast infection had just arrived, so I caught it before symptoms could get worse, so I didn’t experience burning or pain after inserting the ovule-just a little discomfort. I then applied the cream. It says it could take up to 7 days to cure. By the 4th and 5th day, I wasn’t experiencing any more burning or itching. It took some time, but it worked. I applied cream for 7 days just for assurance. I’m all better now. I’m also taking my probiotics daily to try and prevent any more infections trying to attack my precious vagina! Everyone’s different. Good luck!"

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "Always experience intense burning and itching with Monistat 1 day because it's stronger in order to work quicker. And today is no different. Just when I thought it was too unbearable, I applied a bit of coconut oil to the outside of my vagina, and immediately I'm relieved. I can now see light at the end of the yeast infection tunnel. Hope this helps someone else."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "The first time I used this, I thought I was allergic to the medication because it itched and burned so bad! It felt like REALLY BAD internal itching all over my body, as well as my vagina! It was an itch that you could get no relief from, even if you scratched! I vowed to never use this again until I read the reviews and realized this is how it works! Well, it worked. I'm using it again right now and my vagina feels like it is on fire, itching like crazy, and I have the internal itching all over my body again! It's awful, but it does work... if you can wait it out and be strong through the itchiness and burning, it's well worth it! Good luck!"

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "Put it in and take a nap! I see all these horrible reviews, but I put it in, took a nap, added some more of the cream when I woke up, which helped but still itchy and burning. It’s just part of the process, people. I’m sorry, but suck it up. And keep the area dry, you don’t want to keep it with a wet towel, it will promote the growth of the yeast. Also, the directions are VERY CLEAR about increased burning and itching. So you knew what you were getting into... don’t complain if they warned you about it."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "Ok, ladies, you’ve come here in search of why your coochie feels like it caught on fire and got put out with a fork. This awful cream's itch and pain will only intensify the more you scratch. Scratching makes small tears and will make your coochie even more mad. To help with the itching and burning, run a warm bath, hop in there to soothe it. Lightly wash the outer area with just water. After, you can purchase cooling wipes and use those as needed. But whatever you do, refrain from scratching down there. It will only intensify that ever-lasting flame in your vagina."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I used the one-day Monistat combo pack, which came with an ovule insertion and topical ointment. I was very hesitant about using this product after reading all the horror stories on here but decided to take my chances anyway. I took it during bedtime and was just preparing myself for agonizing pain like most of you have said on here but was shocked that I had no reaction. No itching, no burning. I had the complete opposite: pure relief! Maybe I felt a little warm down there, but that’s about it, nothing alarming at all. My YI symptoms were very mild, and the dosage worked for me. I would take it again for sure knowing I had no issues with it."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "Beware! This product makes you burn and itch like crazy down there. I bought the 1-day version, and honestly, I wish I didn't. It's like putting a burning ghost pepper in your lady bits. I've never been more uncomfortable. I had to take an Advil to numb the burning. I don't know how effective it is, since I just started it. Fingers crossed I wake up and bye-bye yeast infection."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I took Monistat one time back in high school, and I remember waking my parents up because I was screaming with terrible itching and burning. I have had many YIs since then, but have told that story to every doctor and have been prescribed Diflucan instead. Awww... what a magical little pill. It’s amazing. You take it, and instead of itching and burning, you wake up, and your YI is hardly noticeable. So imagine my dismay when I find out that I cannot take Diflucan because I was just put on Lexapro, and they have a slight reaction with each other (could cause rapid heartbeat). At this point, with the itching I am feeling, I would rather have the rapid heartbeat."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I had this when I was younger for a yeast infection. And I remember it was working fine then. I don’t know if they’ve changed the formula or what, but about an hour in, it started leaking, and it itched worse than I’ve ever experienced. YIs have NOTHING on this. It’s so unbearable, I’ve sent my boyfriend out to get me something to flush it out with. I can’t sleep, and my lady bits hurt from the constant wiping I’m doing to relieve the itch. DO NOT waste $20 on this!!"

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "The itching is very, very intense about 5 minutes after you use it. It goes away (I've used it before) this same reaction happened last time, and I'm sure this is how the product works. After my 1-day treatment, my infection went away! It's a good product and gets the job done. Although I could do without the mad itching feeling... It really does help, you just have to get over the few hours of pain and itching."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "Yes, I know my nickname is Fire Pepper, but I never thought I would live up to this name. Monistat 1, I highly do not recommend. Within 5 minutes of inserting this into my vagina, I experienced some very intense burning accompanied by severe itching. I thought I was dying! I felt like a part of my body would forever be damaged. I couldn’t tell my boyfriend this, he would think I have an STFD (sexually transmitted fire disease). Also, the leakage is nasty and messy! I’m having to wear a pad daily just to not mess up my underwear. When you sit down, it feels like you’re going to slip and slide in your crotch! It is now week 3, and there is still a tiny bit of discharge. I just want it to be finished already. So, the effectiveness of this product, I would say a 0! I still had to go to the doctor, Diflucan is the best route to take, and it’s hassle-free, pain-free, and not messy at all!"
