For Inflammatory Conditions "I was prescribed meloxicam for a strained AC joint in my shoulder. I experienced significant improvement (pain relief) after taking just 2 doses. I had been in pain for 3 months with limited movement. Now that the pain is minimal, I can put on over-the-head shirts and wash my opposite shoulder without a struggle."

For Inflammatory Conditions "I have been having knee and ankle pain for about 3 months up until now. The Army likes to prescribe Motrin 800's for just about any sports injury. It worked somewhat, but I was still experiencing pain in the first 1/4 mile of running until the pain went to just being numb. After 2 miles, the numbness would go away and the pain would return, but two-fold. For the rest of the day, I was pretty much useless. So last night, I went through my medicine cabinet and found some Meloxicam, and I remembered how it relieved my lower back pain greatly. I could barely walk at that time last night. I took one 15mg tablet 30 minutes before bed, and I woke up like I had never had the pain in my knees and ankles before. I was amazed! I am going to inform my health provider."

For Osteoarthritis "On a scale of 1 to 10, my knee pain was a 25! Constant pain. I actually thought I would end up in a wheelchair. A friend suggested I try meloxicam, as it had worked for him. OMG. It took almost a week to work, but once it kicked in, it performed a miracle. Before that, I couldn't find a comfortable position... it had me in tears, and I am a strong person... I cannot believe the relief. 10 STARS! THANK YOU MELOXICAM!"

For Inflammatory Conditions "I have compressed vertebrae in my lower back, so I get serious pain there on occasion (thankfully rare occasions). My Orthopedic doctor prescribed the 15mg dosage (30 pills). When I saw that this was an NSAID, I thought of Naproxen, Ibuprofen, etc. (drug store stuff which doesn't even cure a headache for me). But this stuff is way different. After the first pill, I noticed a marked pain reduction which would never happen even if I took ten Naproxens or Ibuprofen tablets, and no side effects either. This is good stuff!"

For Pain "My pain issues are from 7 herniated discs, degenerative back disease, arthritis in my hips, and saying this medication, meloxicam, gave me my life back is not an exaggeration. I was using an ace bandage to keep bags of ice on my lower back almost all day, applying biofreeze all day long. Sleep was almost impossible no matter what I did. Within 4 days of starting meloxicam, I was able to weed my flowerbeds (had been hiring a service for 2 years because it was excruciating). I sleep through the night and wake up a bit stiff, but not sore."

For Osteoarthritis "I took this drug for about 5 days as directed for low back arthritis. I became despondent about my life and did not immediately connect this feeling to meloxicam. When I got to thinking about it, I checked the side effects, and the oddly specific and very accurate 'discouragement' was a side effect. I'm a tough kid, oilfield worker, long-time rugby player, etc., and I'm not kidding when I tell you there was a three-day period there where I honestly felt like I was an inch from crying. I probably would have been crying if I just wasn't so tired of life and going nowhere, etc. (Mind you, this was during the oil boom, so I was doing great.) I removed myself from the med and started to be my old sunny self within a day or two."

For Inflammatory Conditions "My doctor put me on meloxicam for osteoarthritis in my knees. I could barely get around, and exercise was out. I took the pill, and the next morning, I forgot all about my pain. It was a miracle to me. I could move around like normal and walk my dog. I still use it."

Mobic (meloxicam) for Fibromyalgia "Mobic has made an incredible difference to my fibromyalgia. This time last year, I could hardly walk and did not really care if I did not wake up the next morning. I was tired of the never-ending pain. Now I go for a walk 4 days a week, and I can move so much better. I can sleep at night as well."

For Inflammatory Conditions "Took meloxicam for feet pain. I was finding it hard to walk after inactivity, i.e., watching a 2-hour movie, 8 hrs sleep. Dr. prescribed and sending me for X-rays to see if arthritis or tendon issues. I do have UCTD (undifferentiated connective tissue disease). I took one meloxicam and the neck pain and stiffness I had for months went away within the hour - my feet still hurt. Then that night my SI joint (sacroiliac joint) got out of whack and triggered a spasm in my back and could hardly move. Took a meloxicam and took pain away and could move. I noticed that by the second day taking, I have no feet pain. This meloxicam is awesome but scary side effects. I told Dr. I didn’t even want the Rx. He said just very short term. Now that I know that this is very effective, I will take very cautiously and will only take very, very rarely like if pain would be the cause of calling out of work or I need to get a project done and someone was relying on me."

Mobic (meloxicam) for Tendonitis "I've been having some knee pain for the past 6 months. I stand all day at work, 9 hours a day, 6 days per week. PT helped some but the pain always comes back. My family doctor gave me Mobic and a steroid shot. I'm pain-free for over a week now. I'm very happy so far. No side effects at all. I thought I was allergic to NSAIDs but this is giving me no issues at all. Hopefully, it will continue to work well for me."

For Osteoarthritis "Took meloxicam for 2 weeks. Helped with the pain, but I noticed stomach swelling. Woke up one night with severe stomach cramps. I passed out in the bathroom. I had to be taken to the hospital. I had stomach bleeding. I lost 2 pints of blood and had a stomach ulcer. This drug is dangerous."

Mobic (meloxicam) for Inflammatory Conditions "I have been taking Mobic for 4 years now. Having a herniated bulging disc, it helped me so much. I had an operation (laminectomy) to cut away part of the disc. 2 years later after the op, I have the same problem again along with nerve pain. Without Mobic, I couldn't walk. I also take Oxycontin to relieve all pain. I hear all stories about how Mobic damages your liver, etc. I've tried twice to come off it, but straight away the pain is severe along with headaches."

For Osteoarthritis "I was prescribed this for a car accident, but I kept taking it because it surprised me by erasing about 85% of my sacroiliac pain. The pain had grown so gradually that I was in deep denial about it, even after the car wreck made it 10 times worse. Then all of a sudden it was mostly gone, and I just broke down and cried from the miraculous relief - I'm able to be physically active again even with unfixable injuries. I have a few side effects: dizziness when standing quickly, and my blood pressure keeps trying to creep up, but the good greatly outweighs the bad still. I've had a gastrectomy, which means I'm at greater risk of stomach bleeding, so I'm worried about the potential stomach side effects that increase the longer you take it, but nothing bad yet."

For Osteoarthritis "I was prescribed Mobic for C-3-4-5 herniated disc repair, plate screws, and fusion post-surgery meds. This was a horrible drug for me. I swelled in my face, hands, and feet, so much so I looked like a different person. Water retention maximized! Then, complicating matters, is the weight gain! I gained 15 pounds in 2 months! I am a petite 110 lb woman. The added weight raised my blood pressure and I needed to see a cardiologist and get prescription meds to return me back to where I started! I would NOT recommend this medication. Since then, my pain is managed and monitored by prescription pain meds not NSAIDs."

For Fibromyalgia "I've had an amazing experience with Meloxicam. I was diagnosed with Fibromyalgia about 2 years ago by a rheumatologist. He told me to go home, hire a maid, quit my job, and buy a hot tub. I did eventually quit my job, but the pain simply got worse. Enter a neurologist who gave me Cymbalta, which for me was a miracle. It took away about 70% of my pain, but I was still suffering. Enter yet another Rheumy, who put me on Meloxicam. It's been amazing and has taken away quite a bit of the leftover pain from Cymbalta. It's not perfect and I'm not sure that ALONE it would do as much for me, but in combination with Cymbalta, it's been phenomenal."

For Inflammatory Conditions "I was prescribed Mobic for arthritis in my right hip. I lost range of motion and had difficulty putting on my right sock and shoe. After taking this medicine for 3 days, I have noticed the hip pain has diminished greatly, about 80% back to pain-free. But this medicine has also helped with my other joint pain and stiffness. I now feel closer to my age of 48 instead of feeling 78. Bending over to pick something up off the floor is easy now. I feel great, no side effects yet."

For Osteoarthritis "This medication is great! It relieved my knee pain significantly. I'm now able to get up out of chairs and walk much more easily. It has been a lifesaver for me. I will use it until I get my knee replacement. My pain level has gone from 10 to 2. Minor side effects for me."

Mobic (meloxicam) for Rheumatoid Arthritis "I had so many problems walking holding stuff in my hand, and I started taking this drug that I have never heard of. I started seeing a new doctor, that's how I learned about it. It has helped me so much that I get teary-eyed just thinking about it. The doctor that I am seeing now may have saved my life."

For Osteoarthritis "I am 46 years old and have been battling arthritis for years. Both knees, left foot, and right elbow. After I started taking meloxicam (1 year now), I noticed a difference. In the past year, I went back to playing flag football, ping pong, and softball. I recently stopped taking meloxicam just to see what would happen. I noticed that my right knee started to swell the day after I played flag football. My time frame was one week off the medication to back on it. I have played over 30 games of flag football and countless games of ping pong without any pain, as well as no elbow pain playing softball on meloxicam. I strongly suggest that you drink liquids and have a bite of food while taking this medicine. I do and have no side effects. Thanks"

For Osteoarthritis "I've been on meloxicam twice. The first time was 15 mg. It helped the pain, but I had a lot of problems with water retention, and I gained 15 lbs. I went off the med because of the side effects. It took 2 months, but I lost the 15 lbs. My new doctor put me back on it, but at 7.5 mg. I am again going off it because of significant water retention, and I have gained the 15 lbs back. To me, the swelling of my hands and feet from water retention and the weight gain are not worth the benefits for my arthritis. I'll stick with Aleve."

For Osteoarthritis "I was started on 15 mg tablets, 1 per day for foot, ankle, and hip osteoarthritis. I had minimal nausea at first, then felt okay for about a week with great pain relief, but then side effects kicked in. I was very nauseous and had headaches 6 out of 8 days. I was exhausted by evening and slept a lot. I took the pill as directed, with food. I just discontinued it. So disappointed, because it really reduced pain."

For Osteoarthritis "I was afraid to take it at first, due to lots of negative comments. Then I decided to start with a half dose for a few days, then switched to 15 mg. I am having it with food in order to avoid stomach issues and refused to take omeprazole along with it because I don't like using lots of drugs. So far, it helped me with my trochanteric bursitis pain. Now I am in my 3rd week. Like any medicine, it has its own side effects, but if you take care of your food, then it's not that bad. Yes, I feel a little drowsy as soon as I take it, but after a while, I'm fine."

For Osteoarthritis "My doctor prescribed Meloxicam 7.5 mg tablet to me in March 2021 when a Baker's cyst in my knee burst. I've had osteoarthritis for at least 10 years, and my knee pain has been getting worse. I am 5'9" and weigh between 152-160 lbs, not overweight. I am a competitive runner in my age group, and when I took it for the healing of the Baker's cyst, my knee pain just disappeared. After the Baker's cyst healed, I continued to take Meloxicam occasionally as needed for knee pain. It works very well and with no side effects, as others have mentioned in their reviews, none! It allowed me to continue running competitively. I am now 66 (2023) and have stopped running to prolong my ability to hike and bike without undue knee pain, but I still take Meloxicam when my knees get too painful, and it still works without any side effects. It is a very small pill, easy to swallow, easy to use, and you don't have to be concerned about food or caffeine (I like my caffeinated tea!) when you take Meloxicam. Great stuff taken in moderation."
