For Bowel Preparation "This was my first colonoscopy, and Sutab was so easy compared to what I expected. I took all the pills as required and drank all the water. It worked within a half hour of finishing the first 12 pills, and, while not super fun, it was what I expected for colonoscopy prep. Same with the second dose, which I took later that night (early morning colonoscopy). The only side effect I had was a bit of nausea about half an hour after each round of pills. So, in all, super easy to take and did its job!"

For Bowel Preparation "I had a colonoscopy today and wanted to share my notes. For prep day, I woke up and ate cream of wheat and coffee. For the rest of the afternoon, I had lemon water ice, white cranberry juice, and lime jello. Took the first bottle of Sutab pills at 5:00. I would take a pill with a swig of watermelon Hint water and then eat a yellow or green gummy bear. I drank directly out of the bottle, which was 16 oz. Then took a bubble bath. After, I drank a bottle of 24 oz peach Propel. Bowels got moving at this point. No pains or other side effects. At 7:00, did 2 capfuls of Miralax, and at 9:00, did the second bottle of Sutabs. I used the gummy bear candies again as an incentive. I only did 10 pills this round. Then at 10:00, drank another bottle of Propel. I felt a bit of nausea, burped, and felt relieved. Then bowels got moving. Went to sleep at midnight and woke up a few times. By this point, it looked like watered-down tea. I woke up at 6:00 am to go to the procedure, and clear water came out. Overall, worked out for me with some tweaking."

For Bowel Preparation "I was a bit nervous, having seen so many of the negative comments. Here is my experience: Day Before: Stopped eating solids at noon. I took my first bottle (12 tablets) at 5:30 pm with 16 oz of water. I followed this with another 16 oz an hour later, and another 16 oz 30 min after that. I had some bone broth for 'dinner' along with apple juice. Yes, I was hungry, but it was manageable. There was no nausea, just a slight rumbling of the belly. When it was time to go, it was TIME TO GO. Between 6:40 pm and 10:30 pm I had 6 BMs. No cramping, no nausea. By 10:30 pm, my body was done for the day and I slept soundly. Day Of: Second bottle of pills at 6:30 am with the same water regimen as the day before. Had some broth and juice again. I was definitely hungry at this point. The rumbling was a little more active this day, my guess is partially due to my empty stomach and hunger. With that said, no cramping or nausea. 5 more BMs over the next 5 hours and then the procedure. EASY!"

For Bowel Preparation "I was asked to use Sutab Bowel Prep Kit Oral before a colonoscopy. I was given instruction about the procedure. I followed the instructions carefully. The night before the procedure, I took the first dose of 12 pills and took the water per the instructions. It took three hours before I started discharging. I felt uncomfortable, and it felt like my colon was inflamed. The discharge did not feel complete because my colon was so inflamed and tight. At 02:00 the next morning, I took the second dose of 12 pills and finished the pills by 02:20. I stayed up and drank the required fluids (water) and started discharging at about 03:45. My colon was tight and felt inflamed by the pills. The discharges came in spurts with great pressure, and my anus was swollen. I was very uncomfortable. I went to my colonoscopy appointment at 07:00. My procedure was at 07:30. The doctor did remove 1 to 2 polyps during the procedure. The procedure was painful, and the pills did not clean me out completely."

For Bowel Preparation "This is my second colonoscopy and my first time using Sutab. It took 2 hours after taking pills before it started working. It also cleaned out my colon very well. Unfortunately, it felt like I was pooping acid each time I had a bowel movement. It has been 4 days since I had the procedure, and I have severe nausea and am still following a bland diet when I’m able to eat. Also, I’m dizzy, weak, and exhausted. My first procedure, I didn’t have any of these problems using the liquid prep. I will never use Sutab again."

For Bowel Preparation "These are vile in every single way! Worst experience of my life, and it’s still happening. First dose induced gnarly cramping as well as horrific chest pain. It is how I imagine a massive heart attack would feel! Took hours to begin working, and the results are violent! Just began my second dose 20 minutes ago. Five pills in, and I was projectile vomiting. After about five straight minutes of that, it subsided for now, but I’m pretty sure I lost it all. Still riddled with the chest pain and cramping. My head is now throbbing, and I’m shaking so violently that this is taking far too long to type. I’m so angry! I was given no choice. It was only Sutab. This is not my first prep. They are typically unpleasant, but this has been the worst night! No sleep! I paid way too much money for one of the worst nights of my life, and I will likely have to cancel. I will not be rescheduling because I will NEVER do this again! Way to go, Doc! You prescribed me a bad drug and have traumatized me!"

For Bowel Preparation "Took first 12 pills as prescribed at 6 PM, followed by drinking 16 oz within 15 min of taking pills, then another 16 oz an hour later, and another 16 oz an hour after that. The pills left a weird taste after swallowed, and I broke out with a rash all over my body within the first hour of taking the pills. The rash subsided. I had to drink a lot of water between the required 16 oz because of the weird taste from the pills. It took about 1.5 hours for the pills to work. Very uncomfortable and finally stopped discharging by 10 PM. Took the second dose 8 hours before my 7 AM appointment, so only a couple of hours of sleep. While all discharge was clear early morning, by my appointment it was not, and as a result, I need to do it again. I will not use this medication again."

For Bowel Preparation "As good as it can get. This can't be compared to the drink. Light years different. I experienced no nausea, cramping, chills, etc. Did space it 5 mins apart based on others' experiences and I followed the water dosage precisely on the 1st dosage. As I found I could control my diarrhea timing through water consumption. In the 2nd dose, I incorporated Gatorade and water in between the 'water prescription'. I think spacing the pills out and not drinking excessively helped. I HIGHLY recommend Sutab over anything else I have tried in the past."

For Bowel Preparation "I fasted, drank only clear liquids, and took the pills as directed. The first bottle went fine. About 30 minutes after I finished the first bottle, I ran to the bathroom. I experienced two more severe bowel movements before even starting the second. Barely got through the second bottle when I vomited clear liquid. This was around 8:30 PM, spent the next 5 hours running to and/or sitting on the bowl. This is my second colonoscopy, my first experience with the liquid went fine. This was a horrible experience-bloating, cramping. Will not take this ever again."

For Bowel Preparation "I was skeptical because I had read many of the reviews and quite a few were negative. However, due to always getting sick on the other preps, I decided to give this one a try. Everyone reacts differently to meds, and my personal experience was a positive one. I took the first dose, 1 pill every 2 minutes per the suggestion of several prior reviews. I followed the prep instructions exactly as written. I still had some nausea but didn’t get sick. It was by far the easiest prep I have ever taken and this is my 4th colonoscopy. One of the downfalls is that you don’t really get a break from the cycle of pooping. I only got about an hour of sleep. The pills are large, so if you have trouble swallowing large pills, you might have trouble with this prep as there are 24 pills you need to take in total. But, I would still choose to use this prep again as it was much easier than those high volume liquid preps or magnesium citrate."

For Bowel Preparation "While it worked enough to have a successful colonoscopy, the side effects were awful. I followed the directions perfectly. Woke up with an excruciating headache, nausea, and vomiting. After receiving anti-nausea medication and Tylenol through an IV, 19 hours later I still have a bad headache. Both a doctor and nurse at the outpatient facility told me that over 50% of patients experience these same symptoms."

For Bowel Preparation "I was worried about several things: Nausea/vomiting, being able to take large pills since that's a problem for me, the amount of water I was expected to drink, and the possibility of gas pain and headaches. I did take Zofran, which prevented nausea, took GasX, and so didn't suffer gas pain, and the pills were coated, which helped them go down. Still have problems with the amount of water, so still working on that. I also have a padded toilet seat, which helped immensely! Something I forgot to get was cleansing wipes, and I am very sore. I noted from previous reviews that sometimes the medicine is sluggish to start, so I moved my start time up several hours, which will also help my sleep schedule. Overall, an unexpectedly positive experience. Hoping the doctor will say it worked."

For Bowel Preparation "I would give Sutab a 10. This was my second colonoscopy, and Sutab worked excellently for me. The first colonoscopy I ever had 10 years ago, the liquid prep made me so sick I was in tears. This time, the Sutab prep was so much better. After my first dose at 4:00 PM, I started going to the bathroom in about 30 minutes, my next dose was at 10 PM. My procedure was at 6:30 AM the next morning. After the second dose, I only had clear liquid coming out. This is the only prep I will use from now on. Thank God I had no polyps, and my prep was excellent. I definitely would use Sutab again, and I highly recommend it."

For Bowel Preparation "After reading your reviews, I was hesitant to try Sutab. But I already purchased it ($110) and decided to take a chance. It worked perfectly for me with no cramps, no nausea, no explosive bowels, none of the adverse issues reported here. The pills are coated and no larger than a calcium tablet. My preparation was good, and my procedure went well. The problem for me was that the instructions were very difficult to understand. Also, I was expecting action after the first bottle of tablets. Nothing happened until about 30 minutes after completing the second bottle. I almost thought that this was not going to work. It did not take long, maybe two hours, to empty my colon. These things might be helpful - I took a laxative two days before starting Sutab, I ate light - no meat and heavy foods, I hydrated with a gallon of water the day before, and I had hot ginger tea before and during prep. I highly recommend a bidet. I barely used any toilet tissue during the prep, and my bottom stayed happy."

For Bowel Preparation "I have to get colonoscopies often and always used the liquid preps, which I hate, but the last time I used one the effects of it didn't stop for a couple of days. So I got switched to Sutab and, wow, it's so much better and easier! For me, it worked great. I took the pills as prescribed, using Hint water, and they worked within 30 minutes. So much easier and better than any of the liquid preps, and I got a super clean colon. Those who didn't, I'm wondering if they followed the prescribed diet as required. I followed everything I was told to do and it worked just great for me."

For Bowel Preparation "This was my 3rd colonoscopy prep. I used liquid preps before and had no issues at all. With Sutabs, I was sick as a dog, and it elongated the prep way longer than the liquid preps. I took my first dose at 6 PM and nothing until 9 PM. In the bathroom 20 times until 1:30 AM and then had to do the second dose at 3:30. That bout finished up at 6 AM, so I was up ALL NIGHT LONG! Plus, I felt horrible. My procedure was at 9:30 AM and that went fine, but I still felt sick the rest of the day and even the second day. I will NEVER take that crap for a prep again. NEVER!"

For Bowel Preparation "I had zero issues with taking the Sutab prep. I followed the directions to the letter. I took the entire 20 minutes taking each set of pills, sipping water rather than gulping. I did experience a brief period of slight nausea (5-10 min), but nothing compared to trying to keep down previous liquid preps. Also, you can expect to get a chill just like liquid preps, but it was not as extreme. I am going to classify this as a kinder, gentler prep. It did take longer to activate evacuation, but it was not extreme once things got moving. I would use this again and would recommend it to others."

For Bowel Preparation "Nothing happened. No bowel movements. Thankfully, I had absolutely no adverse reactions whatsoever, like the comments on here. No reactions at all. This was a complete waste of time, starving for a day, wasting about $175 because my insurance didn't cover it, etc. I took exactly as directed, hoping I could avoid the traditional drinking of the gallon of colonoscopy prep. Now, I will have to do this. Don't get me wrong, Sutab does work for some. I've watched videos of people using it successfully. It just wasn't for me, sadly."

For Bowel Preparation "This was my first colonoscopy, so I do not have experience with other methods. I read reviews for Sutab beforehand and was afraid of nausea and vomiting. The nurse said it was okay to take pills over 45 minutes to an hour rather than 30 minutes. I set a timer, and every four minutes, I took a pill and had no nausea. The key is to get in all the water without gulping and spacing it out. It kicked in an hour later than anticipated. The second dose was a little harder but manageable. Make sure you are well-hydrated before starting the prep, which I was, however, I was a bit dehydrated the morning after the first dose and had some muscle cramps. The doctor said I was well-prepped, and my colon was healthy. I would definitely do this method again, but thankfully don’t have to for ten years."

For Bowel Preparation "Followed the diet suggestions one week in advance. The day before, I maintained a liquid diet: water, Gatorade, jello, and chicken broth. After taking the first 12 pills with the recommended water, my stomach felt bloated and tight. I could barely finish the next 16 oz of water before I got extremely nauseous and crampy. The first two times of attempting to vomit were dry heaves, then I proceeded to vomit two more times with success. It felt like I had been poisoned, thankfully, my body knew just what to do by throwing it up. I felt a little better after but had chills. About 30 minutes later, I began the elimination. It was off and on for about 3 hours, and it did clean me out pretty well. I decided I would not continue with the second half as it was a horrible experience, and my body clearly rejected it. I will not be recommending this to anyone and would advise the alternative method."

For Bowel Preparation "I don’t know if these other people are low on minerals/electrolytes to begin with, but I almost canceled my procedure when I started reading their reviews! I was terrified! I’m here to tell you, it’s not. It went about as smoothly as a prep could go. No nausea, no pain, no burning, and a very clean colon for a good scope. I did no special diet leading up to the prep. I eat pretty clean—only meats/veggies and fruits/some dairy. The day of, I didn’t eat all day. Instead I drank a ton of bone broth with plenty of sea salt, coconut water, teas with honey, and anything to build electrolytes and minerals. When I started the prep that evening, I took the pills 2 min apart with water mixed with electrolyte powder. Repeated this for the second dose the next morning. Stay close to the toilet, and wear a pad, just in case. And in others’ words, don’t trust a fart."

For Bowel Preparation "I asked for Sutab since I was having a 2nd colonoscopy in less than a year and did not want to do Plenvu again. I already take a lot of psychiatric/pain medication, so swallowing all of those pills in short bursts of time was not a problem for me. I would not recommend it for people who have difficulty swallowing large pills because you have to take 12 of them within 20 minutes and then 12 more on the morning of your procedure. The first dose hardly cleaned me out, but that is probably because of inadequate hydration and diet in the days leading up to the prep. I felt nauseous a few hours later, so I took a Zofran 30 minutes before taking the 2nd dose. That one did the trick, and I was finished clearing out in time. The doctor’s report said that my preparation was adequate. I will do Sutab in the future. P.S. I have heard that this med is expensive and insurance may not cover it. I was lucky and got a complete box for free from my doctor, so I don’t know about the cost."
