For Bowel Preparation "Took the first part of the prep as directed and felt bloated and nauseous. Took 3 hours to move my bowels, then the next 9 hours I spent either on the commode, running to try to get to the commode in time, sitting on the commode for hours at a time to be safe, or pooping on myself, or standing in the shower cleaning myself off and cleaning up poop. I have NEVER had an experience like this in my entire 62 years of life! I regretfully took the second dose as directed and immediately began to forcefully vomit yellow bile, all while shooting liquid poop out. 12 plus hours of the worst experience of my life and a raw, swollen anus that burns like fire just from the excessive amount of pooping. I swear I pooped out food that I digested as a toddler! NEVER USING THIS PREP AGAIN AND POSSIBLY NEVER GETTING ANOTHER COLONOSCOPY AGAIN BECAUSE OF IT!"

For Bowel Preparation "I fasted, drank only clear liquids, and took the pills as directed. The first bottle went fine. About 30 minutes after I finished the first bottle, I ran to the bathroom. I experienced two more severe bowel movements before even starting the second. Barely got through the second bottle when I vomited clear liquid. This was around 8:30 PM, spent the next 5 hours running to and/or sitting on the bowl. This is my second colonoscopy, my first experience with the liquid went fine. This was a horrible experience-bloating, cramping. Will not take this ever again."

For Bowel Preparation "Followed the diet suggestions one week in advance. The day before, I maintained a liquid diet: water, Gatorade, jello, and chicken broth. After taking the first 12 pills with the recommended water, my stomach felt bloated and tight. I could barely finish the next 16 oz of water before I got extremely nauseous and crampy. The first two times of attempting to vomit were dry heaves, then I proceeded to vomit two more times with success. It felt like I had been poisoned, thankfully, my body knew just what to do by throwing it up. I felt a little better after but had chills. About 30 minutes later, I began the elimination. It was off and on for about 3 hours, and it did clean me out pretty well. I decided I would not continue with the second half as it was a horrible experience, and my body clearly rejected it. I will not be recommending this to anyone and would advise the alternative method."

For Bowel Preparation "Took this prep the day before my colonoscopy at 5 PM as stated. Didn't start working until midnight! Took the second dose and nothing happened. Felt bloated and sick, and could not drink any more water than recommended. Had a colonoscopy scheduled but have to go back in a year because I wasn’t “cleaned out,” and yet I followed directions accurately. Next time will use the liquid form, what a waste of time!!"

For Bowel Preparation "As a past colon cancer survivor, I have had multiple colonoscopies done and always used a liquid prep. This time I was prescribed Sutab, and I wish I had read the reviews prior to taking them. I followed the directions to a tee and felt bloated, and once everything kicked in, I had such burning in the anal area that it felt like I was on fire. Based on the time of my procedure, I had to get up at 3:30 AM and do the second dose. The prep did not clean me out completely according to my doctor, and I have never had this happen before. She was able to get the majority done, but it did not go well. The following day, I still felt depleted and very fatigued. The next day, I woke up in terrible pain in my legs, back, chest, and joints. This necessitated a hospital stay for severe dehydration. I will never use this prep again and wish I had seen the reviews before taking it. It has now been a week since my procedure, and I am still feeling the effects."

For Bowel Preparation "Took the 1st dose (12 tablets and water) as prescribed. One hour after taking all the pills and drinking all the water, I began to bloat, have severe stomach cramps, and vomit. The pills did work as it pertained to moving my bowels, but at what cost?! I woke up at 3 AM the next morning with a bad headache, vomiting, and continued cleansing of the bowels. I canceled my appointment due to still throwing up and a bad headache and will never try the pill prep again."

For Bowel Preparation "I have issues with slow motility and was concerned that this wasn't going to work. I didn't do the 3-day diet prep because I forgot about it. I started the first dose at 6 PM and followed the directions. Nothing by 10 PM except a lot of bloating and some nausea, took two additional Dulcolax. Started watery elimination. I figured I should have started the second dose earlier, so I started at 1 AM. Honestly, I will do the regular prep the next time. My co-pay was a little pricey, and I don't like the bloating and nausea."

For Bowel Preparation "This is my second time using this prep. Like others, I do believe it's about pre-prepping days ahead. Hydrate, hydrate, hydrate! I also took Zofran an hour before starting the 1st round at 6 PM and another Zofran at midnight to start the 2nd round. I did feel some bloating, but it wasn't horrible. For me, personally, the tablets are far better than the liquid. I had hiatal hernia surgery a few months back, and I'm unable to consume such large amounts of liquid at one time. Everyone's body is different, so if the liquid prep is a no-go for you, please give this a shot. To find cancer or any other serious medical issues is well worth the anxiety that goes along with the prep."

For Bowel Preparation "Excellent outcome using Sutab for prep. Personal experience, results may vary. Day before, had eggs, toast, and bacon for breakfast at 8 AM, fasting began after that. Prescribed Zofran to take with my prep. I chose not to take it unless necessary, and it was not. Later that day took round 1 of the pills at 5 PM. Round 2 started at 6 AM the day of the colonoscopy, for an 11 AM procedure. The pills were not hard to swallow (and I suck at taking pills). No major nausea, no bloating, no vomiting. Definitely felt off, but that is to be expected when you shock purge your digestive system from top to bottom. Prep took about an hour to start working, couple trips to the bathroom after each round. Nothing was urgent or uncontrollable. My blood pressure was elevated in recovery, and I was given IV fluids to resolve. I thought I drank enough extra fluid to stay hydrated, but I was wrong. The physician said the prep was very good and that my colon was free of any issues."

For Bowel Preparation "I never cared for the prep drink. I can do it without fuss, but I don't like it in the least, and up until recently, wasn't aware of any other alternative. After getting the Sutab, I came online to read all the horrible reviews here, so I was questioning if I shouldn't have just gone with the drink again. So glad I didn't. Starting 3 days before the procedure, I started a low-fiber/residue diet and stayed well hydrated. Had absolutely zero issues with the first 12 Sutab pills, I even took them rather quickly (less than 5 min for all 12 and the water). Within an hour, they started to work and was 'cleansed out' about 4 hours after starting them. For the second dose, I had read that I wasn't supposed to take them so quickly, so I set a timer and took one every 2 min. The 16 oz of water was perfect for taking all 12, followed up with the additional 32 oz as directed, and had zero issues: no bloating, no cramping, no nausea. It's the most pleasant experience I can imagine for what it is."
