Vyvanse (lisdexamfetamine) for ADHD "I just started on 50 mg only took it 4 times in a week and a half , starts working in 40 minutes, recommend having breakfast with it cause you lose your metabolism though out the day , I felt amazing didn't feel like annoying anyone, I behaved and concentrated, but my side affects were that I got up from bed got lightheaded and nearly fainted. My heart was beating so fast at random times and my breathing increased. 2 nights ago I thought I was going it was the end of my life as my heart was beating so fast I could see it beating and I was a bit of out of breath."

Vyvanse (lisdexamfetamine) for Binge Eating Disorder "For 23 yrs, I tried everything to fix my severe BED/bulimia. Diets, OA, therapy, CBT, DBT, Meds, hospitals. Nothing helped. Heard about this and was VERY skeptical but after years trying to fix it on my own, actively suicidal and daily ED for hours, so try this, or kill myself. I started 30mg and was stunned! The obsession with food was lifted on day 1. I had some side effects but tapered off. I lost weight; however, that is secondary to the fact that I don’t hate myself or want to die anymore. I am now up to 60mg and if the meds become ineffective, my doc and I will discuss then. I’m hoping to build better habits/coping so in 12-18 mths, I may not need them anymore. This isn't for weight loss. It’s to be free from the obsession with food and subsequent behaviours that controlled my life. Yes the meds are expensive; however, still less than the $$ I was spending monthly on binges. I am free (future obviously undetermined) and couldn’t be happier about it."

Vyvanse (lisdexamfetamine) for ADHD "I was diagnosed with ADHD and PTSD (resulting in extreme panic attacks) about 7 years ago. I went down the line, starting with antidepressants, then Adderall and, finally, Vyvanse. I had a hard time with Adderall as I felt the jolt after taking it daily, even with XR and I broke out with these horrible cyst-like pimples. My psychologist had heard of Vyvanse and recommended changing. I started with a low dose of 20mg.. And finally ended up with 60mg XR daily. It has been life-changer for me. I take one pill first thing in the morning and that's all she wrote ☺. I haven't had a panic attack since I started them. My Dr. encourages me to go on "drug holidays" monthly, which keeps me from going up in dosage. I will say, if you go without them longer than about 5 days, there are the side effects of dry mouth and tension headaches which reside by day 3. Good luck and I do recommend for ADHD!!"

Vyvanse (lisdexamfetamine) for Binge Eating Disorder "I've struggled with binge eating and depression my entire life. I'd spend hours trying to convince myself not to binge and then ultimately do it anyway. In the past ten years, I've doubled my weight, my highest being around 260. I've been on Vyvanse for just over a week, and I no longer eat everything in sight or binge. Some days, I have to make myself eat because I don't have any interest. I also have increased energy and feel motivated to do things, which has helped my depression. If I'm not active, however, I do feel anxious. I've already lost 9 lbs, and this drug has given me the push I needed to turn my life around. I did have some side effects with blood pressure and headache, which warrants the 9/10."

Vyvanse (lisdexamfetamine) for ADHD "This medication is really messing with my head. I'm popping vyvanse once every morning. I started on 30mg and I did feel the improvement I felt motivated, active and less impulsive. After a month it started to feel like nothing. I felt like it had no effect on me. I saw my psychiatrist and he prescribed me 50mg to try out this month. It's been 2 days and already noticed no improvements. It makes me feel depressed, dehydrated and makes me get angry very easily like one small thing annoys me like I want to knock someone out. I noticed tonight that people are having trouble understanding me like I speak normal and people tell me they don’t understand me. My focus hasn’t improved since I started taking meds again. It only improved for a few days and since the meds changed up my personality and is making me worse its even getting me into trouble at work behaviour wise. I don’t recommend this medication whatsoever"

Vyvanse (lisdexamfetamine) for Binge Eating Disorder "Binge eating for as long as I can remember. I wasn't really alarmed until I surpassed my highest weight despite being quite athletic, actually, and not morbidly obese. I have been trying to lose the same 10-20 lbs for the past 5 years with no luck. I started investigating and weighing out my options. Vyvanse was the most viable. It checks all the boxes: 1) covered by insurance 2) can be taken short-term and long-term 3) little to no side effects 4) EFFECTIVE. It just works. Now of course, I am starting with the right mindset after so many failures, so I know there is no magic pill. But this is coming close to it."

For Chronic Fatigue Syndrome "I was utterly shattered and didn't know what to do before I started this drug. I had bone-crushing chronic fatigue and felt I had tried everything. I was so tired for so long I was planning on ending my life. I am on 50mg, and it has made a huge difference. I have very little fatigue now, I still have some problems with anxiety and depression but I always had those. Overall, I am much better on the drug. I had tried other stimulants like Concerta, Ritalin, and Provigil before with little effect. If you are suffering from chronic fatigue, please give lisdexamphetamine a try as it can make a big difference."

For Chronic Fatigue Syndrome "I have been living with chronic fatigue for over 9 years now. I have gone to so many different doctors and have been put on so many different kinds of medicines that never worked. I finally was put on Vyvanse 30 mg. I cannot tell you how much this medicine has changed my life for the better. I would have to force myself out of bed in the mornings and come back home after taking the kids to school and tell myself I would just rest for 20 mins and then get up. I would fall back to sleep for hours and could not figure out what was wrong with me. I hated feeling so tired all the time. I've been on Vyvanse now for 1 week and it is a miracle drug for me. I have energy and my life back. I only wish I would have known about this 9 years ago."

Vyvanse (lisdexamfetamine) for ADHD "I'm 51 years old and was skeptical regarding ADD or ADHD. A counselor urged me to get tested. I agreed to do it because all I wanted was help. I no longer cared what the answer was for whatever was wrong. I only cared if it worked. So, I did the test and was told I was 'off the charts' the highest scores they had seen in years of testing. Today I take 120-150 mg of Vyvanse daily and it makes a difference. Nonetheless, even though Vyvanse has been very helpful, I still doubted whether ADHD was 'real.' I couldn't understand why the medicine was so highly regulated. How could anyone get addicted to this stuff I thought? Then I realized people like me don't get high from drugs like this and that's one reason I know it's working and ADHD is real."

Vyvanse (lisdexamfetamine) for Binge Eating Disorder "I am on my second month of daily Vyvanse 30mg for my binge eating disorder. I am happy to say it has been an absolute godsend! I haven’t had a single binge episode. Furthermore, this med has reduced my appetite to the extent that I feel like I have plenty of space to make healthy choices. I also feel much more able to take an introspective look at my behaviors and what needs to be adjusted in my life in order to maintain health and happiness. Basically I am using the gift of the time spent on this effective drug to develop healthy habits and learn how to meet my needs properly, so that I can one day live just as well without the drug. Only drawback I have noticed is there is usually some point each day where I notice a feeling of low level anxiety. Since it’s clearly coming from the med and it passes quickly, it has been easy to cope with."

Vyvanse (lisdexamfetamine) for Binge Eating Disorder "Day one. This is the first day in the past two years that I haven't overeaten. I had gastric bypass and lost lots of weight. I thought I was fine. Then I was attacked by a co-worker. It set off massive depression and PTSD. I moved from Hawaii to PA and I can't eat that much, but slider food - chips, bread, eggs, diet soda, and coffee with cream. I don't like sweets. But I eat junk. This is the first day without chips/McDonald's/fries. I have no heart racing, no problem with anxiety, no jitters. I was able to choose a nice low-cal dinner, and no chips...they are my weakness. I am so happy to stop the binge."

Vyvanse (lisdexamfetamine) for ADHD "I failed 2 classes in high school, couldn't pass the driver test, struck out with girls because I was too hyper. Good at sports but didn't play well at the best level. I was on Wellbutrin SR. Passed classes with C's and 1 B, occasionally got a date to prom. Got sports scholarships through T&F, Bball, got a driver's license. Things were missing; got 16 on the ACT, still a little too hyper and struck out with college girls, passed 1st semester with 3 C's, 1 A, couldn't remember street names. Doctor put me on Vyvanse 50 mg; had a 3.0 GPA, got three dates, remembered street signs. Thank you, GOD, it is a blessing out of this world."

Vyvanse (lisdexamfetamine) for ADHD "I have been taking adderal as well as vyvanse on and off since I was in middle school, I'm 23 now. It seems to me that when I first started taking it it made me feel like a zombie but I would focus and work then I stopped and now I have been taking vyvanse as you can tell for a decent amount of time now. I started with 10mg then 20mg etc. Now I'm at 60mg and it seems to finally worked. I am focusing and just doing everything right now lol"

Vyvanse (lisdexamfetamine) for ADHD "Both my daughter and I take Vyvanse for ADD/ADHD. It has helped us significantly. My daughter initially tried Biphentin but it did not help her symptoms and caused her not to eat or sleep. With Vyvanse there is a dramatic improvement of her symptoms and less side effects. It just suppresses her appetite. We take her off occasionally to help her appetite and have also tried a short acting formulation that she takes after breakfast and again after lunch so her appetite isn’t as effected. I experience very good results on Vyvanse as well (and don’t mind curbing my appetite slightly)."

Vyvanse (lisdexamfetamine) for Binge Eating Disorder "After suffering from various forms of an eating disorder throughout my life, I've been battling binge eating for 4 years, which at times is out of control. I've tried other medications for depression and anxiety, but this is the only drug...the absolute only med that's helped with the binge eating. I am not taking anything else at the time of start & I'm now beginning the second month with only Vyvanse. At first while taking the med, I had no desire to binge eat & I would not have any urge to plan my day around the binging. This was unbelievable as I've been consumed every single day with binge eating. I have to say this med is exactly what I need while I work on the other components of recovery & therapy."

Vyvanse (lisdexamfetamine) for Binge Eating Disorder "I was put on Vyvanse after my doctor diagnosed me with binge-eating disorder. Before this drug, I struggled for 6 years battling this eating disorder and gaining pounds along the way. Almost 2 years later and with the help of this medication, I have lost over 100 pounds. I feel great; this medication should be watched and used properly. My doctor was great about letting me know that it could make me stop eating altogether."

Vyvanse (lisdexamfetamine) for ADHD "I wouldn't typically give any drug such a high rating, but Vyvanse has truly changed my life with few, if any, side effects. I take 20 mg once a day, and it lasts 12 to 14 hours. It took about 2 weeks of trial and error to find the dosage, but it was very worthwhile. I am happier, less anxious, and significantly more organized than I have ever been. I am a student, and many areas of my life -- academics, social functioning, general health, etc. -- have all improved greatly. The inattentive fog has cleared, and I finally feel able to create the life I want to be living. Better control over my life has also given me back self-esteem and stabilized my moods. I am so grateful."

Vyvanse (lisdexamfetamine) for ADHD "Dr. diagnosed me with ADD, he put me on Vyvanse. It did help me focus but caused near anorexia. It actually helped with depression symptoms that antidepressants were never able to help me with. I never really wanted to eat while I was on the medication. Just no appetite. All of my life was normal/thin. No prior eating disorders. Never was a binge eater. I went from 120 lbs to 100 lbs on the medication. The worst is stopping the medication. Be warned. I developed a never before binge eating disorder from discontinuing Vyvanse. Gained back all the weight I lost PLUS I have gained an additional 30 pounds on top of my normal weight. I put on about 50 pounds since stopping Vyvanse. I can not get the weight off. I often think about starting up the pills again to help me rid the after Vyvanse weight gain but what will happen to be after I stop again? Wish I never started it to begin with."

Vyvanse (lisdexamfetamine) for ADHD "My daughter is 8 and has tried other medicines for ADHD. I did not like them because of the side effects; she was like a zombie. With Vyvanse, I don't notice a major change in her personality. And she is focusing better in school. Much better grades. I love this medicine because she still acts like my daughter and not some alien."

Vyvanse (lisdexamfetamine) for Binge Eating Disorder "I'm so happy for everyone that has a positive experience. I started Vyvanse 30mg 2 months ago , the first week was very good and I was able to control the impulse to binge . I was on Bupropion 300 for depression and anxiety and the only thing that Vyvanse has helped me is with that. After a week I binged again pretty much every night .The doctor increased Vyvanse to 40 and decreased Bupropion to 150. One again I felt great about my depression and my anxiety but this time I'm eating more than before. I'm hungry all the time , I binge every night , I have never experienced a lot of energy like people has described , don't feel any side effects , little bit sleepy around 5pm . I feel like I'm not taking anything at all . At night time I can sleep with no problem, except the nights like tonight where I can't sleep because I binged so much that I can't lie down because GERD , I feel like crying , I'm angry with myself and frustrated that Vyvanse is not working for me"

Vyvanse (lisdexamfetamine) for ADHD "I'm 24 and was diagnosed with ADHD in March of 2020. I've been on the Vyvanse train since July of this year. After trying a couple of other meds between '21-'22, I was nervous because of past history with other stimulants. To my surprise, I took very well considering the side effects. Headaches, fatigue, loss of appetite, but those went away within a week or so. I have tried different dosages, 30 to 40 to 50 back to 40 because I thought 50 was way too much right now. Presently, I would tell everybody that when increasing or decreasing dosages, the side effects do not last long. Overall, this medication has made me a better son, a better friend, a better listener. I really do love this medication and recommend it for ADHD."

For Chronic Fatigue Syndrome "This medicine is a truly lifesaver. Even with my depression well-treated, I kept physically tired the whole day. I wanted to do things, but my body felt like I spent 3 hours at the gym. 30 mg of it at 6 am changed the whole game. I can go on really motivated the whole day and still get a great night of sleep. NO SIDE EFFECTS besides some stomach cramps in the first days. There's no comparison with other meds I've tried before (Provigil and Focalin). I can finally say that I'm capable of doing anything if I truly want to."

Vyvanse (lisdexamfetamine) for ADHD "Vyvanse is not like any other ADHD med out there. It is better! A lot better! It does not matter how much Vyvanse you take, your body will not let the amphetamine level go any higher than it can process it. This gives you control. Vyvanse is a spark, it lets you choose what to focus on, rather than make you hyper and euphoric like other ADHD meds do. Why it does not work for some people? Because most people fail to use ADHD meds accordingly! No med is a 'magic bullet.' For those of us who actually have ADHD and have tried absolutely everything (healthy diet, good night's sleep, exercise, multivitamins, etc.), Vyvanse is the 'missing piece to the puzzle!'"

Vyvanse (lisdexamfetamine) for Binge Eating Disorder "I have been on Vyvanse for a year now and I have slowly lost 60 pounds simply by being able to focus on the things I need to do in my life and not about food ever. So I just eat now for fuel, the way it should be! I noticed a huge difference when I don't take it I feel that hunger feeling just like before. I still struggle at night so it is not going to fix everything but it has been a miracle for me. I have struggled since I was 8 years old and now I'm 37. I plan on staying on Vyvanse until I can get myself under control. I still need to lose about 70 more pounds to be at a healthy weight for my height. In the meantime I am going to school for psychology with a concentration in addictions and hopes to figure out how to control my behavior."

For Depression "I was put on Vyvanse for ADHD, but my doctor had also been trying to control my severe depression as well with different antidepressants. All antidepressants I tried (at least 15) were no greater than a 5 in effectiveness, if rating them. Well, once starting Vyvanse, I noticed a dramatic and positive change in my mood after about a week. I thought that since it helped so quickly, it surely wouldn't be helpful long-term. I was wrong because I have been on Vyvanse for over a year now and I've not grown tolerant to its antidepressant effects nor its effects for my ADHD. Plus, it has fewer side effects than what I experienced with traditional antidepressants."
