Plan B One-Step (levonorgestrel) for Emergency Contraception "GIRLS, DON’T STRESS OUT. PLAN B WORKS! You might be worried and all, but let the pill do the work. I’ve taken Plan B 3 times, and it was effective. Yes, you do have side effects, some girls bleed after 5 or 6 days after taking it, and it only lasts for 3 days, it’s like a mini period. It also means it worked, and yes, Plan B can make your period up to 2 weeks late. It doesn’t matter if you're ovulating, it still works, you just have to take it on time. So don’t worry, you do get symptoms just like pregnancy, but in reality, you're not. So don’t stress out if you have taken one. Good luck ❤️."

Plan B One-Step (levonorgestrel) for Emergency Contraception "My partner and I had sex the exact day I was ovulating, that was January 24, 2021. We used a condom, but he didn’t realize that it broke and he ejaculated inside me. I started crying because I’ve never been in that situation before, but the next day, maybe around 12 hours after we had sex, that was January 25, he bought the morning-after pill for me and I took it, and I bled for 1 day. I swore it was implantation bleeding, but thanks to the pill, and yesterday on February 8, I got my period so trust the pill, ladies. I read all the experiences shared, and I want to thank all of you beautiful ladies. I waited on my period, stayed off Google like you all said, and thanks be to God and the pill, I got my period yesterday, so the pill really works whether you are ovulating or not. So to anyone going through the same thing, just take the pill, pray to God, stay off Google, and read our experiences... Take care lovely ladies, stay safe, you are loved ❤️❤️"

Mirena (levonorgestrel) for Abnormal Uterine Bleeding "I know I have not had Mirena in long. First day was Dec 15th. This is horrible. I always had the worst cramps along with heavy heavy bleeding. Every month it felt like contractions. Since having the IUD put in I have bled every day. Yes, some days were lighter than others. Most days I had to wear a regular pad. Cramps are just as bad if not worse. I can't wait 3 months or longer to see if this will work. I'm miserable, my husband is miserable. I think I would prefer the 7 days of heavy bleeding than this. At least I knew it was going to stop. This everyday bleeding has to go. I can't deal with it."

Mirena (levonorgestrel) for Abnormal Uterine Bleeding "I had my first Mirena removed in July of 2020 and never had any problems with it. Then I had a new one put in January 29th, 2021. This is March 13th, and I've been on my period since getting the new one. Some days, it's normal bleeding, other days, it's spotting, but the menstrual fluid is dark, almost brown, and thick to the point of almost being sticky. It's ruining my sex life and relationship. My boyfriend thinks I'm pretending to be on my period because I don't want to have sex. I mean, it makes sense. Who has their period for over a month straight? Me. And I'm over it. I feel like I should rate its effectiveness at a 10 because I definitely won't be having sex with the thing in."

Mirena (levonorgestrel) for Abnormal Uterine Bleeding "I had Mirena inserted on June 3rd, 2021, and have literally bled every day since. It’s starting to get old. I had it inserted, and my OB never even checked to make sure it was in the right place. They just said to avoid unprotected sex for the first month, then they’d check it to see if it was in the right place at my 2-month checkup. I have no idea if it actually works or if it’s even inserted correctly. All I know is that I haven’t gotten a break from bleeding for almost a month."

Mirena (levonorgestrel) for Abnormal Uterine Bleeding "Mirena was inserted a month back. I got it because apparently it stops bleeding and thus helps with endometriosis symptoms, but it's proving otherwise as I'm experiencing completely the opposite. I have been bleeding continuously for the past month without a break. I never imagined I would be on my period for a whole month and it still hasn't stopped."

Plan B One-Step (levonorgestrel) for Emergency Contraception "I don't understand people who give Plan B a low rating because of the side effects. The purpose of this pill is to prevent pregnancy, not make you feel good! And if its purpose was successful, give it the rating it deserves! People need to understand that this is like dropping a hormonal bomb in your body - yes, your cycle will be messed up for a while, but anything is better than an unwanted pregnancy. I have taken Plan B three times now. This time I was really nervous because I took it on my ovulation day. One week after taking it, I started spotting with light cramping. I was scared that the spotting was implantation bleeding, but eventually the bleeding got heavier and turned into my period 8 days later. Plan B has worked every time I have taken it so far. Ladies, please be patient and remain calm."

Mirena (levonorgestrel) for Birth Control "I have issues with hormones any time I have been pregnant or been on birth control. I get every bad side effect possible. I was hopeful for this one. I had it in for a month and had severe headaches, cystic acne (literally all over my face & no wash would make it go away), constantly felt light-headed/dizzy, nauseous, zero sex drive, horrible mood swings, my period lasted 12 days and I was constantly bleeding, horrible stomach pains randomly when I moved certain ways. This medication made my anxiety & depression worse. So bad that I couldn’t be around my 4-year-old son because I’d get so anxious I'd have a panic attack. One day at three weeks of having it in, I had such a bad panic attack over literally nothing. I had to lay down in a dark room with a fan on me. I got so worked up I passed out. Do your research. There are a lot of harmful things that can happen when being on the Mirena IUD that they don’t tell you at the doctor. Do your research!"

Mirena (levonorgestrel) for Abnormal Uterine Bleeding "I'm 47 and got the Mirena because I have very heavy bleeding during my periods. After insertion, I bled for 44 days. Then none for 11 days, and on my next period, I started bleeding again for (as of writing this) 27 days. Overall, I have been bleeding for 71 days out of the 82 (almost 3 months) that I have had the Mirena. While I appreciate the medium/lighter bleeding, the non-stop bleeding has been miserable. It has also been very brown and jelly-like (like the end or start of a normal period). I tried to wait it out, but it just isn't stopping, so I have an appointment in 2 days to have it removed. On a side note, I had bloating and cramping/pinching feeling for the first 3 weeks. I almost had it taken out after the first month, but my doctor said to give it 3 months. The bloating and pinching did subside. I did feel fine emotionally, no depression, and didn't have any weight gain or skin problems with Mirena. Just removing it because of the non-stop bleeding."

Plan B One-Step (levonorgestrel) for Emergency Contraception "I had sex and he fully ejaculated inside of me during my 'most fertile day' on Flo, my ovulation app. I took it about 8 hours later. I had a week of heavy bleeding, cramps, basically a period. It was just withdrawal bleeding. Like many women, I was petrified that I was not safe because I had already ovulated. After I found out the bleeding was withdrawal bleeding, I thought I could be pregnant for sure. I was already pregnant once 3 months ago and I had an abortion. It was horrible. I never ever want to go through that again, but I thought I might have to. I had light bleeding and brown blood for days, pain that felt like implantation bleeding (which I have felt before), and other early pregnancy symptoms. My period came 2 days late. This drug works even if you are ovulating. The symptoms are so torturous, however, and you can feel like you are insane. But it does the job. You're not pregnant, girl. Be grateful!"

Mirena (levonorgestrel) for Abnormal Uterine Bleeding "I've had mine for 1 year and constantly have spotting or bleeding. My husband jokes that's why it's such a good form of birth control because I'm always bleeding on it. There's only like a week straight that I don't have any spotting or blood. Not very happy. I thought after a year it would've gotten better."

Aftera (levonorgestrel) for Emergency Contraception "I am so thankful I am not pregnant and it did the job, but this pill seriously messed up my cycle and had me so anxious for about two months. I wasn’t due to get my period for another two weeks at the time I took the pill. Six days later, I started bleeding, and it lasted about four days. The first two days it was maybe enough to fill tampons, but the other days it was very light, like only there when I wiped. Fast forward to when my period was scheduled to come - still no period. I ended up getting my period ten days late, but I could have sworn I was pregnant. I had been having creamy white discharge for about two weeks and had been feeling bloated with cramps and headaches - this NEVER happens to me! My period is here now, but it’s significantly lighter than it normally is. I have taken Plan B once before in the past, and I never had any problems at all. Ladies, please spend the extra $10, or even better, get on regular birth control! Also, stay off Google to stay sane."

Plan B One-Step (levonorgestrel) for Emergency Contraception "I had sex the day after my period ended, and just my luck, the condom broke! I took this pill within 6 hours, and a week later I bled for 3 days straight, which was awful, and then it went away. I was super nervous ALL MONTH. Took a pregnancy test and everything. Negative, but try telling that to a scared girl! However, my period came on time this month, and the cramps are horrible! But the pill did its job. Relax, girl. You'll be okay. And stop reading these reviews! You're freaking yourself out. YOU WILL BE OKAY."

Plan B One-Step (levonorgestrel) for Emergency Contraception "I had unprotected sex on my ovulation day (according to Flo app). My boyfriend pulled out, but we went for round two without cleaning up, so I decided to take the pill the next morning just to be safe. Five days after, I began to bleed lightly for three days. After the second week, I got hit with ALL of the symptoms. I had mild cramping, nausea, fatigue, sore nipples, and I broke out HORRIBLY. I took a pregnancy test 7 days after my missed period, it was negative. The next day I got my period (8 days late). Very heavy and bad cramping. I read pages of the reviews panicking about if the pill would work or not on ovulation, but it did for me, so just relax."

Plan B One-Step (levonorgestrel) for Emergency Contraception "I just wanted to share my experience with this Plan B pill. This was my first time taking Plan B. I took Ella previously and didn’t have any side effects. But since it was the weekend and I couldn’t get Ella, I decided to take Plan B. I was in my fertile days, the first day of the days leading to ovulation. I started freaking out and decided to take Plan B 18 hours later to make sure everything was okay. I started bleeding exactly 7 days after taking the pill, it looked like a light period that lasted 6 days. 3 days later my actual period started, a week earlier than it was supposed to. The only thing that is different is it looks like the pill made my period lighter and not as painful as usual. No major side effects besides bleeding, some nausea just for one day. Trust the pill and relax! DON’T freak out and don’t Google any symptoms. Listen to your body. And girls, take care of your body. No one else will do that for you. I’m definitely not taking this again though. Good luck ladies ❤️"

Mirena (levonorgestrel) for Abnormal Uterine Bleeding "I had the Mirena put in Aug 13, 2019... spotted every day for about a month, finally had a period but very lightly. Ruined my sex life, constantly bleeding and smell of old blood. Days I wasn’t spotting when having sex, made me realize that old blood was sitting in my cervix which cause me to smell during sex. Finally got it removed yesterday and just want my body to get back to the way that it was... I would rather deal with my period than to not know when I’m gonna bleed or having continuous spotting and a horrible sex life. One day after removal I’m bleeding like a normal period so hopefully that will clear everything up. I would never put in another Mirena."

Plan B One-Step (levonorgestrel) for Emergency Contraception "DO NOT STRESS!!!! So, I took Plan B after the condom broke during sex, one day after my period (day 6 of my cycle). I took the pill about an hour after. Sometimes my period comes on day 21, so I wanted to be safe just in case I ovulated early. About 5 days after I took the pill, I started spotting (but kinda heavily) a dark brown color. That progressed into a decent amount of blood, enough to warrant a tampon. The bleeding lasted for about 3 days, but wasn't super heavy. I also had cramps for about an hour, but they were very light. I've taken Plan B twice before, and only had light bleeding one of those times. Some time passes, to about a week and a half before my period is supposed to come. I start feeling pain in my lower back, very light. I'm getting bored of writing this, to be honest, but I just got my period on day 31 of my cycle. DON'T STRESS!!!"

Mirena (levonorgestrel) for Abnormal Uterine Bleeding "I had the Mirena IUD inserted on Feb 4th. It took 5 mins to insert, and they used an ultrasound machine to ensure it was done correctly. I have an extremely high pain tolerance, but must say the insertion was probably the worst 5 mins of my entire life. The pain was ridiculous! After that, I had mild cramping for 24 hrs and light brown bleeding for 3 days. On the 4th day out of nowhere, I felt sick to my stomach and had horrible cramping pains. Lasted for 30 minutes. I was almost in tears, but it subsided with 800 mg of Advil and a hot water bottle. My period was supposed to start on Feb 14th, but I had brown spotting 3 days prior and am still menstruating! It's been 11 days straight; it's light but enough to need a panty liner or tampon. I'm exhausted, cranky, and frustrated. My next doctor appointment is on Mar 7th to check that the IUD is still in the same position. I'm thinking if I bleed all of March, I'm getting this thing taken out. I had no idea I'd bleed for this many days in a row."

Mirena (levonorgestrel) for Birth Control "I had my Mirena inserted in March 2017 because my husband and I didn’t want any more kids. The insertion wasn’t bad, it didn’t bother me. I had irregular bleeding for about 2 months, then no more periods. I had a healthy sex drive that crumbled with Mirena. I thought it was unrelated to the Mirena, my doctor said it couldn’t be the Mirena. I couldn’t lose weight and always felt bloated. My skin was constantly breaking out with acne. My husband and I agreed for him to get a vasectomy. I had the Mirena taken out in August 2019. I didn’t even feel him take it out. A) I started to lose weight and that constant bloated feeling. B) My sex drive is back to what it used to be, I felt broken for over 2 years. C) My skin is clear. D) I have energy and lost that feeling of depression and fatigue. Listen to your body, everyone is different. My doctor tried to convince me to keep it in, but I chose what was best for me. Some women love it, some hate it. This is my personal experience with Mirena."

Liletta (levonorgestrel) for Birth Control "I got Liletta about 3 years ago. Very painful insertion but pain went away about 1 hour later. My next two periods were unbearable. Like I thought an ovary was exploding and I couldn't walk or breathe. I have been having pain on and off every week that is similar to endometriosis pains with light bleeding. I have PCOS and I told the doctor and they said it would be fine, but I'm starting to wonder about it. I have no sex drive, feel tired all the time, and have a mental fog that I specifically remembered starting around the time of my insertion. I also gained about 15 pounds. The cramps radiate out from my ovaries to my back and down my thighs. My doctor keeps telling me it's normal... I want to get it removed as soon as possible."

Plan B One-Step (levonorgestrel) for Emergency Contraception "I took the pill 2 days after having unprotected sex. My boyfriend came inside, so I was 100% sure I needed to take it. I took it 4 days after my period had ended. I am 5’0 & 95 pounds. I'm stating that because I think that played a big role in the side effects I experienced. I started bleeding 5 days after taking the pill. I had cramps for over two weeks straight. My whole body ached & it made me fatigued. It was all severe. I threw up twice within the first 3 days. The pill did work. It made my next period 21 days late. The stress was real. Do not stress, it works! Just be aware that the dose is heavy & every body reacts differently to it."

Mirena (levonorgestrel) for Birth Control "I am a nurse practitioner working in women's health, so I thought I knew what to expect when I had my Mirena placed 3 months ago. I was WRONG! I have had bleeding every single day since insertion—occasionally just spotting, but most days I have light-to-moderate bleeding like the final couple of days of a period. I do not have cramps, and I have had an ultrasound to ensure proper device placement. I know that irregular bleeding is common in the first few months of use, but I did not expect the bleeding to be this persistent or this heavy. I am going to give it a few more months to see if the bleeding resolves; if it does not, I may have to get the Mirena removed."

Plan B One-Step (levonorgestrel) for Emergency Contraception "I swore that I would come back to this website the day I got my period because it kept me sane. I had sex on my ovulation day and took Plan B 24 hours after. I am not on birth control too. He thought he pulled out, but being that we had sex a few times, we weren’t really sure. I was PETRIFIED. I cried for 2 weeks. On day 10 after taking it, I started spotting just like what implantation bleeding looks like. I talked to every person under the sun looking for answers and advice, but I still had to wait it out for the period. The spotting happened for 4 days straight, where it then turned into a period. I was scared to death. I took 3 pregnancy tests, all negative and still didn’t believe it. Stay off doing internet searches, PMS, Plan B side effects, and pregnancy side effects are all the same. Stay off your computer and phone, don't do all the internet searching, and don’t spend $45 extra dollars on pregnancy tests. Take one the day of your missed period. Plan B is expensive for a reason, it works EVEN WHEN OVULATING! STAY OFF GOOGLE!!!!!! You got this!"
