For Birth Control "I had the Norplant placed in 1994, shortly after giving birth. I had just turned 18. At 19, I was diagnosed with severe fibrocystic breast disease. No one on either side of my family has this. I have always struggled with this disease and absolutely have to have IM Depo injections regularly to reduce swelling and to decrease extreme pain. I am now 42 and still need Depo. I've always wondered if the Norplant caused this issue."
