For COPD "After taking Trelegy for two weeks, there was no noticeable improvement in breathing. After week three, I woke up with a very sore throat, hard to breathe, could not talk, I had lost my voice, totally got into a fit of coughing so bad I thought I was going to hurt myself, as I was throwing up and couldn't clear my throat. I almost called for an ambulance to go to the ER. Very bad experience, will never take again and do not recommend!!"

For COPD "I initially coughed for the first hour, then the following day, half of my head hurt to the touch, it felt like it was sunburned. That lasted a week. Then I had increased mucus that woke me up at night, as I was choking on it. I had pains in my hips and joints, and the pain moved down my legs as I lifted them to lay on a couch. I could no longer lift my arms above my head without them being in pain at the muscle, which felt as if it went down to the bone. A sore throat and headaches. Other than those side effects, my breathing did improve, but not enough to warrant putting up with the side effects. I lasted 3 months, then gave it up. The doctor then tried me on Trimbow, that lasted 3 days when I ended up with vertigo. I'm now back on Seebri and Fostair."

For COPD "I used this med for months. All it did was create a sore mouth and throat, and it dried my mouth out as well. I noticed that it aggravated my paralyzed larynx, causing it to be a constant battle trying to clear the junk off my throat. It gave me pneumonia-type symptoms that I had to treat multiple times with antibiotics. I finally took myself off the medication, but it seems the effects are long-lasting or forever at this point after four months."

For Asthma "I have lung damage from cancer along with asthma. I watch for air quality alerts and track my peak expiratory flow rate and FEV. I was using Advair (generic), which was giving me a fairly high dose of inhaled steroid and constant thrush. I was at 60% of my target Peak Flow range and only 70% for FEV. With two months of Trelegy, my Peak Flow is 96% of range and FEV in the mid 80%. With Trelegy, I'm only getting half the amount of steroid I was getting before, and my thrush symptoms have improved (though I still have to treat it). The difference with this med is the addition of the anticholinergic, which will dry you out (so you must stay well hydrated). Ask your doctor about treating thrush (a major cause of 'sore throat') and to check potassium and calcium levels (a big cause of leg cramps). Many of the 'side effects' are easily treated without more meds. Also - if you experience side effects, please, please report them to FDA.gov, your doctor, and the Trelegy folks."

For COPD "My doctor gave me Trelegy 10 days ago, and it has helped considerably with my breathing. Advair did not help, also, Advair made my tongue so sore I could hardly eat. I rinse after using Trelegy, but I think the only side effect seems to be that the back of my throat is a little sore. It hasn't been expensive, so far anyway. I have bought one inhaler, but I'm on Medicare. Eight dollars for an inhaler that helps isn't bad! That's been my experience so far."

For COPD "I immediately felt my throat become irritated, then within a few days I could feel it become swollen, I could barely swallow. I stopped taking it when this occurred. In addition, my joints ached. I also had excruciating back pain. Also, my breathing did not improve significantly. One positive, my blood pressure dropped. It's not the medication for me."

For COPD "Had a 2-week trial usage of Trelegy and was going great for the 1st week. Used every morning, breathing really improved, but during the 2nd week, I got recurrent, very bad sore (at night only) throat even though I thoroughly rinsed afterward and brushed, hoarseness with a deep cough to clear airway, became very nasally like I was catching a cold during the early part of the days after getting out of bed, headaches, and also at night, very bright halo around images on TV which hurt my eyes trying to focus. Will not continue using."

For COPD "The drug is very effective at opening up my airways and making me feel more energetic/less tired. I have been taking it for 21 days so far. The big downside is that the drug tastes (to me) like a Klingon's armpit. Extremely sharp bitter taste. Gargling and rinsing are effective but still leave a slight taste. My voice has changed - more hoarse and occasionally briefly (1 or 2 words) stops working. Not happy about this, but I balance that against being more active rather than tired and slothful, so I will live with that until I can find something better. I also have a slightly sore throat. I am going for extensive lung function testing in about 2 months so will see if there are other options."

"I am 56 and have been taking this drug for a year. I already have a degenerative neuromuscular disease, so some of the side effects may be clouded by that. Trelegy has been great for me! That's all I've been taking. It's quick and easy. My case is moderate and was found early. This may sound petty to some, but the one side effect I've noticed is my voice. I used to sing all the time, but now I have to clear my throat every minute and can't breathe enough or sound clear. It brought me great joy, and I really miss it. That side effect is listed on the label. I'm doubly tired from the COPD and asthma, along with the other disease, but that's all I've really noticed as far as the side effects among the diseases."

For COPD "Trelegy is a game changer. After 6 years of undiagnosable breathing issues with excessive mucus and a recent double whammy of bronchitis with pneumonia, a second CT scan revealed COPD. The pulmonologist gave me a sample of Trelegy 200, and it changed my life. The mucus is still present but nowhere near the amount prior. I can breathe better, but deep breaths will elicit a cough with mucus. I have a headache and sore throat in the mornings, but that is a small price compared to not being able to breathe and being congested. I use the Trelegy 100 now, and it works just as well. I am 58, looks like no more long runs are in my future, but I can walk 2.5 miles most mornings, and that is a start."

For Asthma "Trelegy has not reduced the need for a rescue inhaler. The side effects of constipation, joint pain, cough, and sore throat were not worth being on a corticosteroid."
