For Insomnia "I was on flurazepam for 15 years, it was wonderful with my insomnia. It was the only thing that helped my fibromyalgia, depression, and anxiety. Now I am at a total loss, I am not sleeping, I have the shakes, I just feel totally awful, and there's nothing that can compare to this medication. I have been on nine different medications since they have discontinued this medication. Mylan should be sued for stopping this medication so abruptly and not giving us time to withdraw from it. I am miserable and don't know where to go from here."

For Insomnia "I was taking flurazepam for 30 years as prescribed. Due to the manufacturer backorder, I have been without it for over a month. I have been in withdrawals. Sweats, body tremors, fast heart rate, and feel spacey."

For Insomnia "I have been on flurazepam 30 mg for 15 years. I found out two days before my cruise that they no longer made this medication. This was over 2 months ago. I am going through severe withdrawals, and my doctor keeps prescribing me benzos, which do not work. I have the shakes, I do not remember the last time I had any sleep, and I am irritated all day. Why would they make people go through this? I am 64 years old, this is the most horrible thing I have ever been through. The doctor cannot find anything to replace it because flurazepam was only one-quarter benzoid, it had a sedative in it. This is why nothing else works."

Flurazepam for Insomnia "I was on Dalmane for over 25 years. I have had always problems sleeping. My husband was transferred many times, and I went to different doctors for my meds and Dalmane for sleeping. Not one doctor warned me that if I ever stopped taking it, I would have a problem. It was fine... helped me sleep! Then it all stopped! It was discontinued! Wow! I was NEVER so sick in my life. Shaking, nausea, thinking I was in a panic, trouble driving. Horrible! Dalmane could not be found! The pharmacist recommended Temazepam. It only let me sleep 3 or 4 hours! Still the shaking and finally had to try .05 Xanax during the day. After two years, I am still not right!"

For Insomnia "I have been on Dalmane for 20 years... then could not find it anywhere! It is horrible! I could not sleep, started to shake, could not find words when talking... then the nausea! My daughter talked to a pharmacist, and he suggested Temazepam because it is the same family as Dalmane. That has helped, but must check with my doctor for dosage to get until Dalmane (flurazepam) is out of my system. It is terrible that a drug so many people used to get some sleep is discontinued! I am furious with Roche! They have made me so sick! I feel sure that all the comments were just like me... something to help... not misuse. Why did they just stop selling it? I thank the pharmacist for telling me about Temazepam. It has helped me."
