For Birth Control "I've been taking Trinessa-Lo pills for about 5 months now. So far in the past 5 months, I had experienced random nausea in the beginning, irregular spotting (which still happened to me last month), and I felt a bit more emotional. HOWEVER, this past week, I got my first ever panic attack and anxiety, which I've never felt before, and it's horrible. I do have a heavy, stress-filled workload as I'm a grad student, but I've never felt like this. I've also noticed a decreased tolerance to wearing my contact lenses, it's like there's sand in my eyes right when I put them in! I guess the only pros of the pills are that they kept my skin pimple-free, and periods light and short. I'm going to get off the pills soon and see if it helps. Will try to update."

For Birth Control "I was on TriNessa for 5 months, and at first, everything went well. I had no problems with it, but after my 3rd month, I started noticing really bad emotional changes. I started off being moody, and then it went on to crying every day at night. I got to the point where I was really depressed and didn't want to do anything. Oh, and also my jaw would hurt a lot after taking the pill."

For Birth Control "I haven't taken any birth control at all for almost two years since having my baby, and I was prescribed TriNessa 3 months ago by my midwife. Periods are short, and it has cleared up my skin so much, which is awesome, however, the bloating is terrible. I have always been a thin person and have never had any weight issues, but my stomach is so fat and bloated it looks like I'm 2-3 months pregnant. Decreased libido is the other negative side effect that I am experiencing as well."

For Birth Control "This is the first birth control and the only birth control I will ever try. I love it! I became sexually active about 9 months ago and decided to have the birth control at hand. I read all these reviews and became so scared, but I'm glad I tried it for myself! My boyfriend and I don't use condoms, but I've taken my birth control on time every day at the SAME TIME. I have never had weight gain, nausea, or vomiting, even in the beginning. I have had a pregnancy scare since I've been on it, and I get my period every fourth week of my cycle. I will continue this medicine until I decide to have children. Also, I've had bad acne for years and, to be honest, it hasn't all gone away, but it has not gotten worse at all."

For Birth Control "I am 18 years old and was diagnosed with an ovarian cyst just about a little more than 1 month ago, so I was put on birth control for that reason. Week 1: Was on period. Horrible on the 2nd day of taking the pill, I threw up all day and had nothing to eat. Week 2: Not as bad as week one, though experiencing weight gain from 132.2 to weight 138.8, almost 139 lbs. Week 3: Started period early, noticing a lot of shedding of the hair. Moody, boyfriend can see that I am very angry and mean at this point. Week 4: Diet change, feeling a lot better, no more sleepiness. 1 Mo.: Doing a lot better, weight going back down (134.8)."

For Birth Control "I am 20 and started taking TriNessa about a month ago. It's my first time using birth control, and I wanted to get on it to help regulate my periods and to help with cramps. I'll admit, after hearing about some awful reviews about this specific birth control, I was a little worried. Especially about the mood swings and whatnot because my boyfriend and I were already having problems with me freaking out about the tiniest things. After about a week of being on it, my mood swings got a little bit worse, and I would cry about anything, but it went away quickly, and I mean they WENT AWAY. I am completely chill now. I haven't had weight gain or any other side effect. I love it."

For Abnormal Uterine Bleeding "STAY AWAY FROM THIS ONE. I was originally using Seasonique for my prolonged and heavy periods, but my insurance company did not cover it anymore, so I was switched to TriNessa. I started TriNessa on October 12th, 2017, and it is now January 2nd, 2018, and I am STILL bleeding. I wouldn’t recommend."

For Birth Control "I have taken this pill for 11 years. I got on it after the birth of my first son in 2005. I have had no problems, and I like that my cycles are light and last for only 4 days. I got off the pill in 2008 for a planned pregnancy. I got pregnant right away, had my second son in 2009, and went right back on this pill and have had no problems at all. I am hoping to have another successful planned pregnancy, so I am currently off the pill, but I plan on going back on them. I am completely satisfied."

For Birth Control "I absolutely love this birth control. All of my friends are on different birth controls and are always moody, and more than half of them have gotten pregnant. I have been on TriNessa for 9 months now, and believe me, it works! Plus, I used to have extremely difficult periods. I would get 2 a month, and they would last 9 days, and now I have a normal period that comes once a month and only lasts about 5 days, and no more getting sick and crampy either. Needless to say, I thank my doctor every time I see her for introducing me to TriNessa. I now recommend it to all of my friends."

For Acne "Not sexually active, so I can't tell how it helps in pregnancy prevention. It did stop spotting in between periods, but it destroyed my skin. Particularly along my jawline (jawline acne is typically hormonal), my skin broke out the entire duration of using TriNessa. It was the hard, painful acne that left behind dark marks when they had run their course. I stayed on the pill for three months to make sure it was the pill causing the acne, and it was. During the placebo pill week when you get your period, my skin would clear up. Until I had to start the pill again, that is. Beyond that, my emotions were so out of whack on this pill that I was constantly on the verge of tears when I am a silly, easygoing girl who is extremely positive."

For Birth Control "I'm almost finished with my first pack of TriNessa, and the side effects that I've experienced are lots of bloating and also vaginal discharge. I've gotten used to the bloating, but the vaginal discharge is annoying and frustrating because I kept thinking it was a yeast infection or something like that, and everything I've taken to try to get rid of it has not worked, and it was driving me crazy. But after reading some of the reviews for TriNessa, I realized it must be one of the side effects of the pill because it started when I started taking it. The first week I started the pack, I had a lack of appetite, but I've been eating regularly since then. I haven't experienced any weight gain. Overall, TriNessa seems to be a decent birth control."

For Acne "Works very well for me. My skin got better. I used to have breast tenderness 10 days before my period and very bad stomach cramps the first 3 days every month, now it's gone. I have been on TriNessa for 1 year. It hasn't made me gain any extra weight, and I don't have any mood swings."

For Birth Control "Before having my daughter, I was on Desogen for 5 years, with an amazing experience. It took me two years to get pregnant after stopping. Requested the same after the baby with little difference. Had to switch 3 months ago for insurance reasons and have been miserable since. I am way more moody (weepy/short fuse), I've gained 5-7 lbs. Terrible bloating the week before my period, as well as nausea/vomiting and bad cramps a few days before. Worst symptom: complete destruction of my sex drive. Like... I could really care less. I also started a week early this time for some reason. I am switching back next month and paying the $32 dollars a month until my doctor decides he believes me when I say that one child is enough for me."

For Birth Control "I've been on Tri-Nessa for about a year. But I have had one pretty serious side effect, vaginal discharge. I honestly did not think about it being a side effect when it started. I went to my doctor, and they treated it as a yeast infection, but nothing helped. My doctor told me I was just one of the few women that had regular discharge. Now that I have been off of Tri-Nessa for only a month, the discharge has stopped. I am now going to try and change medications."

For Birth Control "I first started this birth control two years ago when I became sexually active. Children are not in my near future. TriNessa has been nothing but good for me! No bad side effects at all. I am a healthy 19-year-old female and would recommend this drug to any woman who is looking to protect themselves."

For Birth Control "I have been on the pill for about 3 weeks now, and I recently started getting some side effects. My breasts are really sore (hurting), and they feel really tender. I feel bloated, and I even look bloated. I also noticed I get really nauseated at night. Also, my contact lenses just recently started bothering me. They are getting dry, and they feel like I have something in my eyes, but I don't. My face has cleared up, though! I just really hope these bad side effects don't last too long because it really sucks, and my body doesn't feel the same! :("

For Birth Control "I am 28 and have taken TriNessa for 2 months. The first month, I noticed I was pretty emotional as I was crying a lot, feeling very depressed, especially the week before the placebo pills. Also, really painful periods that I thought BC pills usually help. I'm on the 2nd pack, and it's the week before my period. I cried for 2 days and actually felt like I didn't want to be around anymore. I never thought a pill could make you feel that way, but I found other reviews that said the same. I just could not figure out why I was feeling like a crazy person until I realized it's once again the week before my period. Please just be careful if you have any depression to start with. Pros: clear skin and no weight gain."

For Abnormal Uterine Bleeding "I've been on the pill for over two weeks. This is my first time on birth control, and I'm taking it mainly to help regulate my periods so I get one every month, and also to help with cramping and heavy flow. So far, all I've gotten is cramps, dizziness, light-headedness, acne, spotting that started off light and now is coming off a lot heavier, weight gain, huge appetite, problems sleeping, and is majorly affecting my mental health."

For Birth Control "First birth control I've ever tried and very pleased with it. Skin improved by about 90%, and my awful cramps are virtually gone. Have not experienced any type of depression or anxiety. If anything, I've had less because I'm less stressed out about my face and getting pregnant! May have slightly gained weight (around 10 lbs), but I believe that is more because of changes with my exercise at this time. Side effects with birth control are highly variable. Don't be afraid to protect yourself!"

For Abnormal Uterine Bleeding "Beware of this medication! I have never had so much bleeding in my life. I had to go to the ER because of it. I developed many blood clots and have never been so scared. I recommend another brand of birth control. Any birth control that has a history of giving women blood clots, don't take it. Do your research, because you can get blood clots in other places too. I'm getting off it today."

For Birth Control "I had been on Ortho Tri-Cyclen for over ten years, which worked great for me. I lost my insurance two years ago, and my doctor put me on Trinessa. I have always had bad acne, even in my 30s and on Ortho. Trinessa has totally cleared up my face!!! I feel so attractive now! I do have depression and am on medication for that. I have not had any bad side effects from Trinessa. The only thing (which is minor to me) is that I sometimes spot a tiny bit in between periods, but not every month. My boobs also become tender during my period, but they haven't grown. :( Overall, I LOVE Trinessa!!!"

For Birth Control "I got a prescription for TriNessa about 5 months ago, mostly just to help with my acne, and so far so good. My breakouts last a shorter amount of time and are smaller in size. My period has also gotten shorter and lighter, and I hardly get cramps at all. The only drawback is that in the first 2-3 months or so, I would get dizzy, slight headaches, and a little more fatigued than usual. Other than that, this pill works great. My acne hasn't completely gone away, but it does help."

For Birth Control "I was taking YAZ, but it was costing me $70 a month. My doctor suggested TriNessa because it would only cost $9 a month. With such a cost decrease, I changed even though I was happy with YAZ. BIG mistake. I hadn't put two and two together until recently, but TriNessa has made me a monster. I am constantly aggravated. Every little thing annoys me, and I have no sex drive AT ALL. I don't even want to be hugged and kissed anymore. I cry constantly, and I am ALWAYS tired despite getting plenty of rest. It has been a nightmare. I was unsure as to what was wrong with me. I even went to the doctor for blood work because of how tired I have been. TriNessa has made me a different person, and I am switching back to YAZ as soon as I finish this pack."

For Birth Control "I have been taking this birth control pill for almost a year. At first, I was an extreme bitch and super emotional for about the first month or two, and my breasts increased, and I probably gained about 5 pounds. I also spotted throughout the first month of taking it. But after three months, everything went back to normal, and my acne decreased. I had occasional zits here and there, but now my skin is completely clear. Also, it has made my period 3 days shorter. My period used to be a week long, and now it lasts four days, and it's pretty light, and I do not get any cramps. If you can make it through the first few months, it's totally worth it!"

For Birth Control "I just started taking TriNessa (I'm on my fourth pill). I'm 21 years old, and it's my first time ever taking a birth control pill. So far, I love it! The first couple of days, I experienced a tiny headache. Nothing horrible. I barely even noticed it. I really don't feel any different. So far, so good!"
