For Birth Control "I went on this pill about 4 or so years ago and did not have too many issues. I occasionally broke out from time to time and I did gain a little weight over the last few years, but I think that's more my fault for living off a college diet and not exercising like I should have. I went on the pill almost as soon as I became sexually active and have not had any pregnancy scares, so it did that job in that respect. It also kept my periods regular and fairly short (about 4 days). However, around the time of my period, I experienced extremely bad headaches (sometimes migraines accompanied with vomiting), so my doctor just switched me over to a new pill recently. But other than that, I've had no complaints and would recommend this birth control."

For Birth Control "I've been taking the Tri-Previfem pill for a few months now. I was on Ortho-Tricyclen for years with no issues, and then my insurance switched me to Tri-Previfem, and it's been awful. I now get headaches, stomach aches, and my sex drive is very low. I am going to go back to Ortho-Tricyclen, even if I have to pay for it out of my own pocket."

For Birth Control "I have been on this birth control for almost three years. No pregnancy scares, no side effects, regulated my period, and I had intense cramps for the four years I was on my period before I started taking this. Sick the entire week, couldn't walk and puking every day. And since I've taken this birth control, I have had cramps probably twice."

For Birth Control "It has been great for me. I use it for both birth control and irregular menstrual bleeding. I had no cycle for 3 months. After taking it for a month, I got my period-no side effects. I am also taking spironolactone to help with fertility. I have full coverage, so my insurance covers everything. If you have issues where you have to visit the gyno frequently, I would suggest getting full coverage health insurance."

For Birth Control "I had a lot of stomach pains for over a month. I didn't get pregnant and had a normal period, but such severe stomach pains, along with an occasional headache, I had to switch to a lower hormone, so I'm using 'Gildess.' Now I'm sad the only side effect I seemed to have was stomach pain. But it was very persistent."

For Birth Control "I started taking this medicine because my insurance wouldn't cover Ortho Tricyclen. This is only my second month, but I'm done - severe migraine throughout my period, tension headaches the rest of the time, and terrible over-bleeding, a problem I've never had with any other birth control."

For Ovarian Cysts "In July 2015, I had experienced a huge pain in my lower abdomen. The pain went on for three months when I was finally able to see the gynecologist after two months and a half of being on a waiting list. They ran a lot of tests on me, and I was told I had an ovarian cyst the size of a golf ball. I have never had a surgery, and I am terrified to even be told I'm going to have to get any type of surgery. Well, my doctor recommended I take birth control to help with pain and possibly reduce the size of the cyst. I started taking Tri-Previfem in the beginning of November 2015. When I went for my checkup on November 23, 2015, the cyst had been reduced from the size of a golf ball to the size of a pinto bean!! I totally recommend this birth control."

For Acne "I am currently on the third month of this birth control and will be ending it after the pack is finished. I originally went on this to clear my chin breakouts, which would not go away. My chin is now clear (with some scarring), but both of my cheeks have been breaking out on and off since I've started this. I would say the trade-off for the clear chin is not worth it. I'm not sure if I've gained any weight, but I did experience some mild nausea. My periods were already consistent, and this did not change that. I would not recommend this to someone unless they have very bad acne because the initial breakout (which for me has refused to end) is probably much worse than what you are dealing with now."

For Abnormal Uterine Bleeding "Been on this BC for about 2nd or 3rd month now and never had a problem until this month. Thought it could have been different reasons, but now that I look at the reviews, people have had similar problems. Period usually lasts a maximum of 5 days, and it's been over 10 days. Spotting, the most annoying thing in the world. Still debating on changing to a different BC."

For Acne "My body is not taking this pill well thus far. I started out my BC journey with Tri-Lo Marzia, which worked for about 5-6 months, and then it stopped working as effectively. That's when I was upgraded to the Ortho Tri-Cyclen instead of Lo, a generic called Norgee by Glenmark, which was amazing! Cleared up my acne so well, I even forgot I had acne. And now I'm having a stint where I'm breaking out bad. My pharmacy now carries Tri-Previfem, and my forehead has gotten much worse on this pill. I also have cysts on my chin and tiny nodular bumps that are all over my forehead and now spreading down to my nose and chin area. I'm not sure whether I should stay the course of the pack. On one hand, it's only been a week on this, but my acne has gotten really worse this week! On the other, my body may only be freaking out because it's a new thing, I don't know. But for now, I'll keep taking it."

For Birth Control "I took this birth control, Tri-Previfem, for 8 years. I just got switched today after talking to my OB/GYN and realizing that it was causing anxiety, depression, low sex drive, headaches, and extreme mood swings the week before my period. I thought it was all normal or just me, but she said it was the medicine. I have now been switched to Mili. It did regulate my periods, but I would have 7-9 days of fairly heavy bleeding each month, which is not supposed to be a thing. Very effective in preventing pregnancies, as I have not been pregnant while taking it."

For Abnormal Uterine Bleeding "I switched to this pill about 7-8 months ago, and it has been hell ever since. I became very depressed, anxiety was heightened, exhausted all the time, no motivation/energy, did not get out of bed, became very negative and angry, and had no libido. I would sleep for 12 hours and still be tired and take naps during the day. This affected my relationship, and my boyfriend ended up leaving me due to my depression. I have now quit the birth control, and I feel like a brand new person and back to my old self. Ladies, if you're having these side effects and it's affecting your relationship with your significant other, family, or friends, do not wait it out!!!! I wish I could go back and quit the pill a long time ago!"

For Acne "I've been on this birth control for only two weeks. The only positive thing that's come out of it is my boobs are growing. But literally on only the second pill, I was throwing up. I take the pill at 6:30 am a little after breakfast because that's literally the only time that I can because I'm so busy, and by 11:00 am I'm nauseous and vomiting until about 1:00 in the afternoon. More recently, some days are great, but others are terrible. On top of that, my boyfriend and I have gotten into fights lately because of the anxiety that this pill is giving me. I'm just worried about everything lately now, and it's pushing him away. The whole reason I got on this pill was for him and me to be able to have more sex, but it's also killing my sex drive."

For Birth Control "I have been taking this birth control for 6 months, and I have finally decided to stop taking it. Although it did help eliminate my acne, regulate my cycle, and prevent pregnancy, the cons outweigh the pros for me. At first, I didn't really experience too many negative side effects, but as time has gone on, I have become severely depressed, moody, and unmotivated. I am constantly tired and have become extremely forgetful about even simple things. I have become overly anxious and paranoid. I did have anxiety at times before the pill, but it was never this bad. My breasts are constantly sore, and I have absolutely no sex drive anymore. None at all. I know it's this pill causing this, and I need to stop taking it so I can feel like myself again."

For Birth Control "I started taking this pill when I was 16. I am now 20. The pill started out fine, and I loved it for the past 3 years, but this last year is different. Starting the pill, it cleared my acne up very well. I only gained maybe 10 lbs at most, but that's as well as growing up and fitting into my body. The pill has worked great for birth control. It has made me have a regular, light 3-4 day period every month. Rarely any cramps, too. But this past year, I have been noticing a few different side effects. My cramping is getting worse with each period, I started spotting more monthly, and during my period, I get severe migraines. Stopping the pill for a month to see if my headaches get better."

For Birth Control "Horrible. No sex drive. My feet swelled up so much that they looked like balloons, and it was painful to walk. Don’t get me started on the mood swings. I stopped taking it and felt better a few days later. My feet weren’t swollen anymore either."

For Birth Control "Within the first couple of months of taking this pill, I gained 15 pounds. Then after taking it for around 3 months, it began causing me to get a yeast infection after my period for 4 months straight. However, I continued taking it in hopes it would level out. It soon did, and I have now lost the weight I gained, my face has cleared almost completely (I had terrible breakouts all over), and (knock on wood) I have not gotten any more yeast infections. I now have no problems with it, and I take it every day at the same time, so I also have not had to worry about pregnancy scares. The only side effect I notice from it now is that it has really increased my sex drive."

For Birth Control "I started taking this pill due to mild acne and discomfort during menstruation-namely cramps and bloating. My acne has noticeably improved, as has my cramping! My periods are finally regular and predictable, with less bleeding! The main side effect I have dealt with is nausea during the first week of the pills, which is usually remedied by taking a Tums or a mint. I have not experienced any weight gain or decrease in sex drive."

For Birth Control "Tried 3 different birth controls over the past year and finally felt like this one worked. It fixed my bleeding problems and regulated my cycle. Month by month I started noticing the nausea getting worse and worse. Now, after 4 months on this pill, I've decided to stop taking it because it makes me sick as a dog. My breasts are tender almost all of the time, and my sex drive has basically vanished. Wish there was something out there that worked for me, but this is definitely not it."

For Birth Control "I started with Sprintec, and it seemed fine. Then they switched to Previfem. I have horrible vaginal discharge almost every day, I have cramps sometimes almost as bad as before I went on the pill. My period lasts just as long as before, 5 days, and is still super heavy. I do have unprotected sex with my boyfriend and haven't gotten pregnant yet, so that's a plus. More cons: more emotional, sometimes chest pain, nausea. I'm ready to quit. Only pro: can predict when the period is coming and not being pregnant."

For Acne "Originally started as a means to treat cystic acne and alleviate period cramps. Anxiety runs in my family, but I've never had it severely until I started taking this birth control. It's been three months and a few days into the fourth pack, and I've had enough. I went from someone who's never broken down about last-minute assignments to someone who cries every day for no discernible reason and can't manage even the simplest classwork. I also started off completely fine with my FWB, but now I've become dependent and paranoid even though he's one of my closest friends, and I never had these issues before. It's like I'm a different person entirely, and I hate it."

For Birth Control "Love Tri-Previfem! The first week, I'll have to admit, it made me pretty nauseous, I actually lost a few pounds. But after that first week, I've been fine. So far, I haven't gained any weight, it actually seems to curb my cravings, which is great! Also, my sex drive has been wonderful! I haven't had any crazy mood swings or bouts of depression, and my breasts have grown a whole cup size (again, without weight gain anywhere else!). All in all, I really love this BC, I was on Nuvaring before this, and it made me completely nuts."

For Acne "Do not ever take this. I'm serious. I strongly advise you not to. My doctor lied to my face and said this wasn't causing my problems, but right when I came off, poof, they went away. I'm telling you, I had the worst anxiety and panic attacks continuously for days when I got to the fourth month of taking this. It literally ran my body and mind down to the ground. Worst thing ever. Do not take this! It literally made me feel like I was going insane, not to mention the depression and all other side effects with it that I never really noticed until I put the pieces together."

For Birth Control "This is the 3rd brand I've ever tried after having horrible side effects from the first two. For a while, this pill really worked for me, and I thought I finally found my brand. But a lot of little things like rapid heart rate, headaches, and frequent infections I finally linked to this. I never got pregnant, and it regulated my periods well. But eventually, my body started rebelling against this pill, and it wasn't worth it."

For Acne "I am starting my 4th month on this birth control today. I was originally on Aviane for 3 months, but it broke my face out horribly, so my doctor switched me to this. At first, the results were not good, but by the end of my third month using Tri-Previfem, my face was clearer than it had been in months! Flawless, actually. Give it time if you're using this birth control to clear up acne. By the end of month 3, I was delighted with my results!"
