For Acne "I have been on birth control for about 15 years (I dont want kids and can't get permanent birth control because I have never had kids). Anyways...My pills I been taking for years got switched to tri-previfem two months ago and I was told by the pharmacist it was exactly the same as my old pills. The first month my breast swelled so much and hurt so bad...that lasted a few days. I also got really bad cramps..like nothing I have felt before (remind you, I have been on birth control for about 15 years). This month I noticed acne on my chin and cheek...I am 34 years old and never had more than one occasional pimple at a time on my face in my life. I will not be taking this pill any longer...hope this helps anyone looking to try it."

For Birth Control " First of all, the worst side effect for me is the constant yeast infections. Never had one in my life until I started this pill, now I will have one constantly, cured for a week then it returns with vengeance. So dry down there, to the point where my partner and I had tension about one of us unknowingly carrying and STD (neither of us were) absolute horrific mood swings, you will become a completely different person. Nausea. Sweating. Weight gain. All of the things you don't want. It took me 3 months to realize this pill was the source of my misery. Do yourself a favor and stop it, there are so many better options out there ladies! Best of luck x o"

For Birth Control "I have been on Tri-Previfem for almost a year and I love it I originally did the Depo shot and it made me gain a lot of weight but this did not make me gain any weight. My skin has cleared up completely I have no acne and I used to have cystic acne. My periods are very light and very regulated plus I haven’t got pregnant so I know it works in that area too I definitely recommend this birth-control I weigh 135 pounds and I’m about 5’6 just for reference:)"

For Birth Control "Within the first couple months of taking this pill, I gained 15 pounds. Then after taking it for around 3 months, it began causing me to get a yeast infection after my period for 4 months straight. However, I continued taking it in hopes it would level out. It soon did and I have now lost the weight I gained, my face has cleared almost completely (I had terrible breakouts all over) and (knock on wood) have not gotten anymore yeast infections. I now have no problems with it and I take it everyday at the same time so I also have not had to worry about pregnancy scares. The only side effect I notice from it now is that it has really Increased my sex drive."

For Acne "My body is not taking this pill well thus far. I started out my BC journey with tri lo marzia which worked for about 5-6 months and then it stopped working as effectively. That's when I was upgraded to the ortho tri cyclen instead of lo, a generic called Norgee by Glenmark which was amazing! Cleared up my acne so well, I even forgot I had acne. And now I'm having a stint where I'm breaking out bad. My pharmacy now carries tri-previum, and my forehead has gotten much worse on this pill. I also have cysts on my chin, and tiny nodular bumps that are all over my forehead and now spreading down to my nose and chin area. I'm not sure whether I should stay the course of the pack. On one hand it's only been a week on this, but my acne has gotten really worse this week! On the other my body may only be freaking out bcuz it's a new thing, idk. But for now I'll keep taking it."

For Abnormal Uterine Bleeding "I was diagnosed with PCOS which caused abnormal periods to the point where I wasn't having them for years. When I was diagnosed at 14 with it they immediately put me on Tri-Previfem. For the first 6 months everything was going great. Then the mood swings started, I suffered from depression before and then this just made it worst. I couldn't stop crying and never wanted to get oh of bed. Last week I stopped taking this and switched to Junel FE. For birth control and acne and period regulator I'd give this a 10/10 but wouldn't consider being on it for two years or long like I was because it can greatly mess with your emotions."

For Birth Control "I started taking this BC last year 11/2014 when I got the Mirena taken out due to bad acne. A few weeks after starting Tri-Previfem I started having hypoglycemic episodes after I run (~4miles ). Which continued after every run so I started taking supplements before and during my run to keep my blood sugar stable. Which helps partly and very annoying. But the last 2 months I had 2 hypoglycemic episodes in the morning without any physical activity. It's now 8/2014 and I've decided to stop taking them. Cons: hypoglycemia, stomach bloat during period Pros: no acne, regulated periods (precise day and round about time of day), minimal/no cramps."

For Birth Control "DO NOT TAKE THIS. there's no other way to put it. I've been on it for going on five months and ever since day one it has been awful. I've become severely depressed I cry all the time I feel nauseous 24/7. My anxiety has gone through the roof. I feel like my whole life has changed for the worse ever since I started this medicine."

For Acne "I am starting my 4th month on this birth control today. I was originally on aviane for 3 months but it broke my face out horribly, so my doctor switched me to this. At first the results were not good but by the end of my third month using Tri-previfem my face was clearer than it had been in months! Flawless actually. Give it time if you're using this birth control to clear up acne. By the end of month 3 I was delighted with my results!"

For Birth Control "I love Tri-Previfem! The only side effect I experienced was a little weight gain during the first few months. My period was much lighter with fewer cramps and my sex drive remained completely normal. I have been taking Tri-Previfem for almost 5 years and I have been currently considering changing to the implant; being in college has created a very hectic schedule and I tend to skip pills constantly and fail to take them on time."

For Acne "I started taking the bc 2 weeks ago and I was very scared to start the pill. I started taking it because I was having the most irregular and painful periods ever but this pill in no way has helped. My breast are so sore I have to take medication, my face is breaking out so badly one of my relatives said the pill was "destroying my complection" and worse of all I'm experiencing cramps that are worse than I had before. Horrible headaches are keeping me from going to gymnastics practices and it's cause my anxiety to get worse (I already had pretty bad anxiety). So, acne, headaches, cramps, painful breast....wasn't this supposed to help me."

For Birth Control "I've been taking Tri-Previfem pill for a few months now. I was on Otho-Tricylen for years with no issues and then my insurance switched me to Tri-Previfem and its been awful. I now get headaches, stomach aches and my sex drive is very low. I am going to go back to Ortho-Tricyclen even if I have to pay for it out of my own pocket."

For Birth Control "I have been on theis birth control for almost three years. No pregnancy scares, so side effects, regulated my period, and I had had intense cramps for the 4 years I was on my period before I started taking this. Sick the entire week, couldn't walk and puking everyday. And since I've taken this birth control I have had cramps probably twice."

For Birth Control "It has been great for me I use it for both birth control and irregular menstral bleeding. I had no cycle for 3 months after taking it for a month I got my period no side effects. I am also taking spironolactone to help with fertility. I have full coverage so my insurance covers everything. if you have issues where you have to visit the gyno frequently I would suggest getting full coverage health insurance."

For Ovarian Cysts "In July 2015, I had experienced a huge pain in my lower abdomen. The pain went on for three months when I was finally able to see the gynecologist after two months and a half of being on a waiting list. They ran a lot of tests on me and I was told I had an ovarian cyst the size of a golf ball. I have never had a surgerys and I am terrified to even be told Ima have to get any type of surgery. Well my doctor recommended me take birth control to help with pain and possibly reduce the size of the cyst. I started taking Tri-Previfem in the beginning of November 2015. When I went for my checkup on November 23, 2015, the cyst had been reduced from the size of a golf ball to the size of a pinto bean!! I totally recommend this birth control"

For Birth Control "I've been on the pill for over three weeks and the side effects are horrible. I've gained 10 lbs in just these three weeks. I've been bloating really bad and thought I was pregnant. I originally got on this pill for mainly my acne and the pill made it worse. I've woken up with terrible migraines and being nauseous. My moods swings are bad and sometimes I'm depressed because of the weight gain. I couldn't ride my horse the soreness of my breasts were terrible. I'm thinking about getting off this pill and trying a difference one."

For Acne "I am currently on the third month of this birth control, and will be ending it after the pack is finished. I originally went on this to clear my chin breakouts, which would not go away. My chin is now clear (with some scarring), but both of my cheeks have been breaking out on and off since I've started this. I would say the trade off for the clear chin is not worth it. I'm not sure if I've gained any weight, but I did experience some mild nausea. My periods were already consistent, and this did not change that. I would not recommend this to someone, unless they have very bad acne, because the initial breakout (which for me has refused to end) is probably much worse than what you are dealing with now."

For Birth Control "I took this birth control Tri-Previfem for 8 years. I just got switched today after talking to my OB/GYN and realizing that it was causing anxiety, depression, low sex drive, headaches and extreme mood swings the week before my period. I thought it was all normal or just me, but she said it was the medicine. I have now been switched too Mili. It did regulate my periods but I would have 7-9 days of fairly heavy bleeding each month, which is not supposed to be a thing. Very affective in preventing pregnancies as I have not been pregnant while taking it."

For Abnormal Uterine Bleeding "I switched to this pill about 7-8 months ago and it has been hell ever since. I became very depressed, anxiety was heightened, exhausted all the time, no motivation/energy, did not get out of bed, became very negative and angry, and had no libido. I would sleep for 12 hours and still be tired and take naps during the day. This affected my relationship and my boyfriend ended up leaving me due to my depression. I have now quit the birth control and I feel like a brand new person and back to my old self. Ladies, if you're having these side effects and it's affecting your relationship with your significant other, family, or friends.. do not wait it out!!!! I wish I could go back and quit the pill a longggg time ago!"

For Birth Control "I've been on this birth control for two weeks now, and I have had so many side effects. Sore breast, stomach cramps, bloating, and very bad acne. I would compare them to pregnancy symptoms. Really hate feeling like I'm pregnant, and it really helped seeing that other girls have had the same experience with this."

For Birth Control "I hate this birth control!!! I used to be on Ortho tricyclone lo and I loved, never had any side effects or problems. I was switched to tri prevfiem 3 months ago and it has been awful from day one. I have severe headaches from the beginning of my period to the end. I've gained 10lbs. I have had a yeast infection every month since I've been on it. (I've never had yeast infections before). My mood swings are ridiculous. I never want to have sex. The list goes on. Do not get this birth control!"

For Birth Control "I started taking this medicine because my insurance wouldn't cover Ortho Tricyclen. This is only my second month, but I'm done - severe migraine throughout my period, tension headaches the rest of the time, and terrible over-bleeding, a problem I've never had with any other birth control."

For Birth Control "The first month of this pill I had breakthrough bleeding basically the whole month. I also had this terrible stomach feeling. The second month I had no bleeding and no weird stomach feelings. I just switched off to a lower dose pill due to my breasts growing 2 sizes and being extremely swollen (I was already a D I didn't want them any bigger!) and also I lost my sex drive completely. Happy to have had no emotional changes at all (in fact, I felt happier). Overall, this pill wasn't as terrible as all the reviews I've read made it out to be, but everyone is different."
