For Acne "I didn't care for this at all. It didn't control my periods at all, I still had my 7-day-long periods when other birth controls I have taken controlled it by the most 5 days, and I feel like my mood swings were severe where I was scared of myself, not normal. My acne seemed to be worse than usual. I stuck with it for a year to see if any changes would happen, and nothing changed, so I swapped birth control."

For Birth Control "As far as birth control goes, great. It has prevented unwanted pregnancy for me and my boyfriend for a while now; however, ever since I started this birth control, I've been very emotional and very forgetful. It's gotten to the point where I have to write down everything."

For Birth Control "Took it for a month and experienced horrible side effects. Constant cramping out of nowhere, painful sex, zero sex drive, swollen, extremely tender breasts, mood swings, anger and aggression particularly, some depression, constant fatigue, bloating, and an irregular period after years of it being regular. Had to stop taking it to get my sanity back."

For Birth Control "I've been on this birth control for 3 months and have not become pregnant. My boyfriend and I don't use any other birth control methods. My skin has cleared up, and I haven't gained any weight (although I work out regularly and eat well). The first month, my breasts swelled up to over a cup size bigger, but after I finished my first pack, they went back to their regular size. I would recommend this pill to anyone looking for a method of birth control. The reason I gave it a 9 and not a 10 is because it has caused me some mood swings. Nothing unbearable. My sex drive is also the same as before."

For Birth Control "I'm 19 years old and started taking this birth control after my first one worked perfectly for a few months, until I began to get my period every 8 days. I've been on this pill for about two weeks, and I already hate it. I'm constantly moody, depressed, and overly emotional. It's affecting my relationship with my family, friends, and boyfriend. It doesn't help with acne, I've never had acne until I began taking this. I also have severe pain every day in my lower stomach area."

For Birth Control "DO NOT TAKE THIS MEDICATION. I was prescribed the name brand of this medicine, and my insurance decided that they would give me Tri-Previfem instead. For the first 3 or so months, things were fine, no big differences. After that, though, goodness gracious. Anxiety, depression, mood swings, NO SEX DRIVE, dryness 'down there,' no matter how bad I wanted to be. It's absolutely a horrible feeling not being able to be ready for your partner, and that puts such a stress on a relationship. On the menstrual time...... picture every horrible pregnancy symptom you could possibly have, triple it, and add to it the normals of your regular period. HEADACHES. If only the 1-10 scale had negative numbers. Save yourselves and stay away from this medicine."

For Abnormal Uterine Bleeding "New to this birth control, my pharmacy ran out of my Tri-Sprintec; experiencing bad stomach pains, heavier periods, and outrageous mood swings. Has curbed my hunger and I have lost weight, while keeping extremely dehydrated too."

For Birth Control "I have been on this birth control for about three months and have decided to stop taking the pill. I have had major mood swings while taking this pill, as well as being nauseated and just not feeling well. The pill is effective as a birth control, but the side effects were not worth having."

For Birth Control "I started this birth control about 2 months after becoming sexually active. Still being in the same relationship, I have seen major changes. This medicine works great to prevent pregnancy, but I've had uncontrollable mood swings along with bad anxiety involving my relationship. As a person that has always had long-term relationships, I have never felt THIS crazy about a partner. And not a good crazy. Even though I know he is faithful, I constantly have panic attacks whenever he leaves from worrying about our relationship. I am, and was never, the type of woman to be insecure, but this medicine is driving me insane, and I would recommend trying others."

For Birth Control "I have been on this pill for the past 5 years now. When I first began this pill, I had no issues, it immediately regulated my period and decreased cramping and acne. However, over the past few years, I have noticed an increase in negative side effects associated with this pill. I find myself to become randomly depressed, emotional, and angry. I have little to no sex drive, as well as terrible migraines during the week before my period. I have been prescribed 800 mg ibuprofen for these migraines, as my gynecologist suggested it could be due to low estrogen levels, and they don't even help. I am considering changing pills due to the uncomfortable side effects."

For Birth Control "I read the reviews but was still eager to try it -- do not take this. This pill has made me extremely depressed and has caused me to have mood swings. I'm surprised my boyfriend is still with me because since this pill I have been depressed, unmotivated, moody, and have had no sex drive! I do not recommend this pill to anyone."

For Acne "I've been on this Tri-Previfem birth control since April, and my face has never been more broken out. I have never really had bad acne, but now I have it all around my mouth, and it's very painful. I have tried many face washes and creams to get rid of it, but nothing has worked. I also have terrible mood swings that started when I got on the pill. Definitely would not recommend at all."

For Birth Control "I just started taking this birth control, and I have absolutely no complaints. I'm a psycho about my skin, and so far, it hasn't affected it in any way, and it could possibly be making it better. My sex drive, if anything, has increased while on this pill, and I have gained no weight! Everyone's different, so don't take all of the reviews too seriously! The only thing that I've noticed is that the first few weeks of my first pack, I was super emotional, but that occurs with any birth control at first! My boobs also get a little tender the first 2 weeks of each pack, but it's nothing that I can't handle, on a scale of 1-10, it's probably a 1.5 on the pain scale for tenderness, so nothing to worry about at all! It obviously also has prevented pregnancy."

For Birth Control "So far, been on this for about 3 months now... And I've gained weight rapidly. My mood swings are way off the wall. I'm tired just about every day, even after countless hours of rest. My periods are extremely abnormal, in which they never were before. Random spotting...which is extra annoying. My past period cycle was so weird because I've just gotten it, and it looked like it was going away, even though it was lighter, it lasted a lot longer than usual. You definitely get pregnancy-like symptoms...such as the bloating, excessive eating, sensitive nose, mood swings, and definitely lots of fluids releasing from your body."

For Birth Control "Works fabulous. Been on it for 7 years, always get my period on the same day. Never any nausea. I get emotional the day before my period starts, but it's whatever. My boobs got huge, which was nice. No pregnancy scares either... at all. Works fabulous. Highly recommend... I haven't had any issues like other people say."

For Birth Control "This is my 4th month after switching from Ortho Tri-Cyclen to Tri-Previfem due to my insurance and availability, and I am miserable. For preventing pregnancy, sure, the pill works. But for anything else, it is horrible. I have gained several pounds over the last month and have not changed anything about my lifestyle. My face is breaking out along my chin nearly every day. I am having constant serious mood swings. I am antisocial, and I have no sex drive. I have considered ending my year-long relationship for the tiniest reasons, and I am horrible to my family. I have never had mental health issues before I took this pill, and I am hoping stopping will help me return to my normal self..."

For Birth Control "The birth control does well with keeping you from getting pregnant. But I'm on my third month of taking the pill, and I've been bloated for about a week and a half now. I lost my appetite, mood swings, and headaches."

For Birth Control "First of all, the worst side effect for me is the constant yeast infections. Never had one in my life until I started this pill, now I will have one constantly, cured for a week, then it returns with a vengeance. So dry down there, to the point where my partner and I had tension about one of us unknowingly carrying an STD (neither of us were). Absolute horrific mood swings, you will become a completely different person. Nausea. Sweating. Weight gain. All of the things you don't want. It took me 3 months to realize this pill was the source of my misery. Do yourself a favor and stop it, there are so many better options out there, ladies! Best of luck x o."

For Birth Control "I've been on the pill for over three weeks, and the side effects are horrible. I've gained 10 lbs in just these three weeks. I've been bloating really bad and thought I was pregnant. I originally got on this pill for mainly my acne, and the pill made it worse. I've woken up with terrible migraines and being nauseous. My mood swings are bad, and sometimes I'm depressed because of the weight gain. I couldn't ride my horse, the soreness of my breasts was terrible. I'm thinking about getting off this pill and trying a different one."

For Abnormal Uterine Bleeding "I was diagnosed with PCOS, which caused abnormal periods to the point where I wasn't having them for years. When I was diagnosed at 14 with it, they immediately put me on Tri-Previfem. For the first 6 months, everything was going great. Then the mood swings started, I suffered from depression before, and then this just made it worse. I couldn't stop crying and never wanted to get out of bed. Last week, I stopped taking this and switched to Junel FE. For birth control, acne, and period regulator, I'd give this a 10/10, but I wouldn't consider being on it for two years or longer like I was because it can greatly mess with your emotions."

For Birth Control "I hate this birth control!!! I used to be on Ortho Tri-Cyclen Lo and I loved it, never had any side effects or problems. I was switched to Tri-Previfem 3 months ago and it has been awful from day one. I have severe headaches from the beginning of my period to the end. I've gained 10 lbs. I have had a yeast infection every month since I've been on it. (I've never had yeast infections before). My mood swings are ridiculous. I never want to have sex. The list goes on. Do not get this birth control!"

For Birth Control "I took this birth control, Tri-Previfem, for 8 years. I just got switched today after talking to my OB/GYN and realizing that it was causing anxiety, depression, low sex drive, headaches, and extreme mood swings the week before my period. I thought it was all normal or just me, but she said it was the medicine. I have now been switched to Mili. It did regulate my periods, but I would have 7-9 days of fairly heavy bleeding each month, which is not supposed to be a thing. Very effective in preventing pregnancies, as I have not been pregnant while taking it."

For Birth Control "Horrible. No sex drive. My feet swelled up so much that they looked like balloons, and it was painful to walk. Don’t get me started on the mood swings. I stopped taking it and felt better a few days later. My feet weren’t swollen anymore either."

For Birth Control "I started with Sprintec, and it seemed fine. Then they switched to Previfem. I have horrible vaginal discharge almost every day, I have cramps sometimes almost as bad as before I went on the pill. My period lasts just as long as before, 5 days, and is still super heavy. I do have unprotected sex with my boyfriend and haven't gotten pregnant yet, so that's a plus. More cons: more emotional, sometimes chest pain, nausea. I'm ready to quit. Only pro: can predict when the period is coming and not being pregnant."

For Birth Control "I was first put on Tri-Sprintec, which worked wonderfully for me, but my pharmacy switched me to Tri-Previfem. I've good news and bad news about this pill. The good news: I've not gotten pregnant. The bad news: after being switched over, I've realized a shocking change in my mood. I'm much more depressed, and I have developed a case of anxiety. I have experienced several anxiety attacks after being switched to this pill. I'm contemplating asking my doctor to change my prescription. If you wish to not get pregnant, then take this pill, but you may undergo dramatic changes in your mood."
