For Birth Control "I have been on this birth control for almost 2 years. I have been suffering from anxiety and heart palpations, depression and sleep issues during this time of taking this birth control. I thought it was due to stress but now after reading these reviews and seeing that my symptoms are the same I believe that my anxiety and heart palpations are coming from this birth control. I will be getting off to see if I start feeling more normal again."

For Birth Control "Honestly reading these reviews, I haven’t had the same experience. This is my first birth control and so far it’s been okay. I had some serious emotional issues in the beginning of taking it. My mood swings were crazy, and I would cry and complain a lot. But then after that everything has been fine, and my sex drive has been a little low but it’s still there. (My boyfriend helps me with that lol) but honestly for a first time birth control I think this birth control isn’t so bad. It has even cleared my cystic acne, which was severe."

For Birth Control "I’ve been on this over 3 years now. My first experience with birth control. It has done the job. 4-5 day light periods. I do feel more emotional on it but nothing crazy. I am switching pills only because I think it could be contributing to my fatigue. I have a low sex drive depending on where I’m at in the pill packet. Not good for trying to skip your period all together. I tried once and ended up bleeding for 10+ days. Overall it’s a decent pill and is effective at preventing pregnancy, but there may be better options out there."

For Birth Control "I developed SEVERE food allergies when on this drug. My entire life, I haven’t been allergic to anything. EVER! I had 2 reactions at home after eating crackers (that I have eaten before). Hives head to toe, itching, swelling of my mouth and throat. Luckily, I had Benadryl on hand. I went back to college, and I was eating dinner, when I had such a bad reaction ( same as above, but also hard time breathing and vomiting), I ended up in the emergency room via ambulance. Thankfully, my medical doctor AND my naturopathic doctor both agreed with my mother and me that this pill may have made my system hypersensitive to either wheat or more likely, additives to the wheat I had eaten. After digging around on the internet, I found that it can cause these reactions, though, it is unclear whether they mean the pill causing these symptoms, or if it causes general allergic reactions."

For Birth Control "This was the first birth control I was put on and it was primarily for the use of birth control but also for bad hormonal acne (I am talking those teenage years where you have so many different face washes and nothings working and you don't do any activity but some how 30 minutes after washing your face you are an greasy mess). It definitely help with my acne, that cleared up completely to the point I could literally almost sleep with makeup on and there would be nothing on my face. I also swear I lost weight on this birth control. The downside though, for my the third week with the changes in drug ratio I would get EXTREMELY depressed, like it wasn't great at all. I spent most of my emotional time on this pill balancing between I want to lay in bed and cry all day and I could really do with having sex right now. It was the weirdest thing and really not great emotional place be on birth control teenager."

For Birth Control "I've given this birth control a try for two months, and I have decided to get off of it due to the degree of nausea that I have been experiencing the first two and a half weeks of every new pack. I have also not noticed any positive impact with my skin, its stayed the same. I was cramping quite heavily when I started the first month and that seemed to dissipate with the second month. I have noticed that my period this month is significantly lighter. However, due to the nausea I will be switching back to ortho cyclen (i.e.- sprintec) that I was on a few years ago."

For Abnormal Uterine Bleeding "This is the third pill I’ve tried for heavy bleeding and severe pain. Other pills made me incredibly irritable, very angry, bloated, dizzy, and exhausted. This one has only made me bloated and exhausted. I can’t live my life this way. I’ll have to deal with the 5 days of major blood loss and pain that makes me almost black out I suppose."

For Abnormal Uterine Bleeding "Absolutely terrible. After trying this pill for only 5 days, it is now in the trash. I have had pretty bad periods my whole life, usually lasting for 10 days or more. The timing in between can go from 3-7 weeks. I also have frequent cysts and severe mood disruptions. I was put on this recently with hope that it would stabilize all this. Well, I will deal with what I know and try healthy alternatives. This completely defeated me for a week. My mood dropped to the lowest I've felt in a long time. I couldn't stop crying. My head was pounding and I vomited for days. I almost immediately stopped taking this pill because it was SCARY. I've now been off for three days and my head is still pounding, I'm incredibly nauseous and I've started bleeding heavily. I hope other people can find relief but I also want you to know that it can be shockingly bad. I've had issues with anxiety and depression before and I wish my doctor would have been more concerned with the reaction this pill could cause."

For Birth Control "I've used tri sprintec for years with no problems but was switched to this with insurance changes. Since beginning this generic I've had bacterial vaginosis every month around my period. It's awful and I'm in the process of switching to another birth control."

For Birth Control "I’ve been on TriloMarzia for a few years now. It cleared up my acne and I never really gained that much weight on this pill. Normally I would get bloated 1 week before my period and felt very irritable, emotional, and anxious. I’ve been dealing with a lot of lower back pain for quite some time and doctors can’t figure it out. My X-ray and MRI came out perfectly fine. I realized what if it’s this pill? I’ve been on different birth controls for many years but I think it’s time to find another contraceptive. There’s been new research that being on birth control for many years can lead to chronic lower back pain. I decided to stop taking birth control 3 days ago. The lower back pain has subsided in the past few days. It’s insane the side effects of birth control."

For Acne "I started this pill over a year ago after my insurance randomly started sending me TriLoMarzia instead of what I was already using, which is another whole messed up issue, and have stuck it out long enough. I used to have severe body acne way before starting the birth control pill, but have not had body acne really at all on trilomarzia. Instead of body acne, I gained severe cystic acne on my face. I never had cystic acne before this pill and I never had acne on my cheeks or chin before this pill. I wake up with new cystic acne every single day and there's just no way I have cystic acne from anything but this pill. My acne is huge red angry cysts covering my cheeks and chin and jawline for the last year. I never experienced depression or anxiety to the extent that I have experienced it on this pill. I am starting Yaz soon because I have read good reviews about its ability to clear up acne. Marzia pill caused dryness, a lesser sex drive, severe untreatable acne, heightened anxiety etc.."

For Birth Control "I like this birth control, I’ve been on it for about 4 months and I haven’t gained any weight, my skin looks super good and I haven’t seen any changes in my mood. The only complaint I have is nausea and stomach pain in the mornings"

For Birth Control "So I was worried of taking birth control. Mostly of side effects but with the way my PCOS was acting... Anything was better. So my experience was very good. I had to give it a little time but I have found the drug to have regulated not only my periods, but my all around health. Maybe its the fact I feel less stressed about periods, and pregnancies, or perhaps my body was desperately needing the right hormones to function. Whatever the case- after a few months on the pill I feel wonderful. With a combination of healthy-mindful eating, exercise, and reducing stress as best as I can. Along with taking metformin. I am down 30 pounds, (I was already working on my weight loss journey and the pill did NOT hinder it) The only issue I have ever had was-since the pill pack is a phase of 3, each week the hormones lower- I find myself at the end of week 2 and through 3 with some slight pms symptoms such as breast soreness. It goes away after the 4th week."

For Birth Control "I have been on this pill for about 4 years and I would say it made me gain weight (10 pounds nothing serious) and had a lot of fluctuations in my skin but it overall helped my acne clear up. I have also been having unprotected sex for the last 4 years and this pill has me starting my period on the exact same day of each month. I feel confident that it protects me and I usually take it once a day at the same time, with the occasional missed pill absolutely rarely. I think it turned me into an angrier person but overall I would recommend it"

For Abnormal Uterine Bleeding "Went on this pill for frequent menstrual bleeding and acne and absolutely did not like it. For the first 30 days straight had nonstop bleeding with black clots. Cramps got worse as well as lower back pain. I was also painfully nauseous all the time and completely lost my appetite. I couldn’t eat more than a small meal at a time without completely being full and nauseous. I was told the acne would get worse before it got better but it only got worse and then mildly improved. I CAN say that it did help get my cycle to only bleeding once a month instead of twice a month but it’s not worth it with all of the side effects. Mentally my mental health and anxiety got worse at first but it leveled off and was fine after about a month. Overall would not recommend it as the nausea is so bad and just constantly persistent."

For Birth Control "I took this pill for 2 weeks and 1 day and I developed a severe cough and an awful rash on my stomach, back and underneath my right breast. I’ve learned as I’ve gotten older that I am more sensitive to ingesting medications. Just be cautious and ask about all the side effects before trying this medication. It didn’t work for me unfortunately."

For Birth Control "I started taking birth control for my painful period symptoms (cramps, migraines, nausea.). I was originally on Ortho Tri Cyclen, the brand version, but they stopped making it I think so naturally I opted for this one, I didn’t mind. It has helped a lot with my headaches/migraines. I don’t get them anymore. I still get pretty bad cramps and nausea but I also credit that to my body always eventually building immunity to whatever pill I’m on. I have gained some wight what but nothing too noticeable or serious. I get occasional pimples along chin/jawline but again, nothing too bad. I recently tried being more prompt with taking my pills on time at same time of day to prevent pregnancy since I normally just take it whenever I remember to (various times of day), do we’ll see how affective it is with that lol. Ultimately, I like it. It’s done better than other birth control pills I’ve used before. I see a lot of reviews with hives & rashes; I have not experienced any of that."

For Birth Control "I went on Tri Lo Marzia after 9 month off birth control. I was previously on Junel and my doctor said this would reduce the side effects I felt of mood swings. Let me first say everyone’s body is different however, this increased my mood swings and causes depression in only 3 months. I was irrational, sad, and fought with everyone in my life. Please make sure you have someone you love keeping tabs on your and being honest with you while starting any birth control pill. Consider counseling or therapy if you know you have a history of depression on hormonal contraceptives. If you’re feeling like I did, stop taking it and contact your doctor."

For Ovarian Cysts "I don’t recommend this birth control at all for a number of reasons. It caused my skin to break out on my chin and forehead within the first week of taking it and it never got better. I then started having anxiety attacks and mood swings that would make me super sensitive and cry for no reason, which caused me problems at work and within my personal relationships. It also made me nauseous and bloated which wasn’t fun either. I thought that maybe it was just all in my head until I went to a different OBGYN today and she explained to me that she doesn’t like to prescribe people this birth control because of how it works. It gives you a different dosage amount of hormone each week which explains the acne and mood swings. You can avoid a few months/years of suffering by steering clear of this pill."

For Birth Control "I have only been on the pill for 5-6 months now and since I’ve started it’s been horrible. I got on birth control because I had extremely bad cramps and super heavy flow which cause me to be nauseous and very weak when trying to walk without taking 3-4 pain pills. I blacked out each time I had my cycle, even at university classes too. Only high doses of pain pills worked. So the second week I started feeling sick, constant headaches, nausea 24/7 I lost interest in a lot of things, I constantly felt irritated and I hated talking to people. I wanted to be alone and I felt sad when I was alone but wanted to be around people (very confused). Two months in nothing changed except for me cramping for 2 weeks, the week before and week of, it was lighter but it lasted longer and I had no appetite AT ALL. And I exercise a lot but I still look like I’m gaining weight and my family keeps telling me this. All I can say is be cautious before u use this"

For Birth Control "I had been on this Tri-Lo-Marzia brand for about 3 months and a half and have decided to stop it entirely and not try any other combination pill. Originally I was on another brand with a higher dose and had horrible physical and mental side effects that I noticed within a month or so. I switched to Tri-Lo-Marzia as it was a lower dosage of hormones and noticed within the first two months my skin cleared and boobs got bigger. It was not until the third month of taking it I had a personal issue come up and assumed my anxiety was because of that but it just got worse for the next four weeks. My last week on the pill has been the darkest place I’ve ever been I experienced bad anxiety, panic attacks, and creeping symptoms of depression which I have never had before the pill. Again everyone’s body will react differently but I have had such a negative experience with the pill on my mental health and do NOT feel like myself at all. I’m hoping it will leave my system quickly."

For Birth Control "Terrible, the first week was non stop crying for no reason. Anything made me cry. I got terrible facial hair under my chin also, they were dark coarse hairs. Since each week increases its progestin the hair got worse each week. As far as pregnancy prevention, it did fine but just terrible facial hair and headaches. Stopped it and went back to a monophasic pill."

For Acne "I have taken this Tri-Lo-Marzia for 5 days now and I’m going to stop. I feel way too tired to function, I have no appetite and I’m nauseous, I have chills and a cough this morning, and I’ve had a hard time concentrating this week. This is affecting my ability to do my job so I’m going to stop. A lot of these posts have people on this for months and years with these kinds of symptoms. The information sheet tells you which symptoms are severe enough for you to call your doctor immediately. My symptoms fell into this category so did a lot of others who were on this for months and years. If you have any of these severe symptoms contact your doctor!"

For Endometriosis "I have what’s called Sub-Cutaneous Endometriosis. Basically, my endometriosis was caused by my c-sections. I was bleeding and bruising under my skin. Long story short, I had abdominal surgery to remove any cells that were up under my skin and dr removed the c-section “flap” as I so lovingly called it. I had a good 2 years, endo grew back. Ow trying the birth control option. This is my 4th month on this particular brand. My first 2 months were fantastic and I slacked on the pill taking the 3rd month and had the worst, excruciating pains. Doctor told me to stick with it, so far, as long as I take the pills, like I’m supposed to all is great! My doc prescribed me strattera for my ADD and it has helped with anxiety and depression as well!"
