For Birth Control "Worst experience ever. I have always been skeptical of birth control and never liked the idea of relying on a pill because of long-term effects. I decided to give this a try, and she gave me a very low dosage. At first, I was thrilled, and then after about one month, I started to wake up every single night at around 3-4 am crying and feeling incredibly nauseous. I would sit on my bathroom floor just waiting to throw up but never did. I also had no desire for sex with my boyfriend of 5 years now. I could not seem to get aroused and would be dry throughout the entire experience. It was really discouraging, and on top of that, I felt crazy. I was not feeling like myself and knew it was not like me. I would 1000 percent say do not go on this pill if you don’t have to. Do your research beforehand and figure out what works for you. Not going to lie, I am a little traumatized after this whole experience and haven’t been on anything for the last year now."

For Birth Control "DO NOT TAKE THIS. This is my first time taking birth control, and I have been taking this for two months. Tried to keep in mind that it takes time for my body to adjust, but I can’t take this anymore. I have been suffering from anxiety, depression, and panic attacks like never before, as well as nausea. I do not feel like myself at all. It is crazy, I feel crazy. Apparently, I am not alone in this either. I would recommend finding another form of birth control, as I am most definitely going to."

For Birth Control "It cleared my acne perfectly, however, my sex drive, umm. Also, I still bleed very heavily, so it doesn't lessen the flow. I can't even orgasm because of this pill, but I’m still on it because it grows my boobs and my acne is controlled - I now have clear skin."

For Ovarian Cysts "This is my first time on birth control, and I started this pill around the beginning of my first semester. I took it to control my cramping and regulate my period, which it has done well for. I have been on this pill for 7 months now. But since starting this pill, I have developed severe digestive problems. I am gluten-free, dairy-free, strictly drink water, and hardly eat meat. I couldn’t figure out why my stomach pains are the way they are since I am eating the healthiest I have ever been. My gastroenterologist recommended the low FODMAP diet to reduce the bloating and gas I am having nearly 24/7. The longer I have been on the pill, the worse my digestive system is irritated. I have also gained 30 pounds. I would say this is the typical freshman 15, but according to my daily diet and exercise routine, I don’t think it’s possible. I plan to come off of Tri-Lo-Marzia this week. It is definitely not worth the digestive troubles."

For Acne "I am a 45-year-old woman. I am a single mom in a monogamous relationship and do not want another child. I was on Tri-Sprintec, then the pharmacy changed it to Tri-Lo-Marzia when my insurance would not pay for Tri-Sprintec any longer. My face has broken out terribly. I know it’s hormonal because I’m on the precipice of perimenopause, but at least Tri-Sprintec kept my acne in check. My self-esteem has been affected, and the acne actually is sore. I’m close to going to a dermatologist. Hate Tri-Lo-Marzia."

For Birth Control "I'm 30 years old and was on Ortho Tri-Cyclen Lo since I was 16. I absolutely loved it! No side effects, period was right on time, no acne, no nausea or anything. Well, I got on my husband's insurance, and they switched me to Tri-Lo-Marzia, saying it's the same, just generic. Yeah right, I started taking it in June or July, and since then, I've been in the ER twice because of panic attacks, and all of my organs were infected and inflamed. I finally got that taken care of except for the panic attacks. I had to quit working, I don't want to see my family anymore, I can't go to the movies, which I used to go to every weekend since I was 4. The only good thing about this pill: yes, I get my period on time, no heavy bleeding, and I'm not pregnant. But I have to switch, I can't take these panic attacks anymore, it's not who I am at all."

For Acne "I loved this pill and wish it did not cause me to spot on my third week of the pill pack. Other than spotting, everything worked great for me. I switched to Yaz because of the spotting and hate it, wish I could go back and just not have the spotting."

For Acne "I am just a few days into my initial pack, like a trial. And immediate acne like I've not had in a long time. Teenage-worthy. My immediate thought is my body needs time to adjust, but after seeing reviews of women who have stuck it out for months, I'm going to stop before I really got started. Because it seems evident that for many it never got better. I'll save myself a lot of heartache and discomfort."

For Birth Control "I had taken Tri-Lo-Spintec for about a year, and then they changed it to Marzia because of some changes in the insurance, but they told me that since they both had the same ingredients, they should work the same. NOT AT ALL. At first, I was excited because on the other one I would get a bit of a headache on the first day of the pack, and it didn’t happen with Marzia. Still, four or five days after I started taking them, I started developing some discomfort in my vagina and eventually got a vaginal yeast infection. I couldn’t believe it since I take very good care of my hygiene. It came back the next month that I took a pack. Also, my period came a week late, lasted two more days than usual, and I had some pain (three things that are not usual in me). Sex has also been very uncomfortable. Definitely not my best experience."

For Abnormal Uterine Bleeding "I wasn’t having my period for about a year after my last birth control, which I didn't like (it's called Microestrogen Fe 1/20, I think), so I started Tri-Lo-Marzia to get my cycle back after being off for about 8 months. It worked. I’ve gotten my period, cleared my skin (haven't had a single breakout since I started), and I didn’t notice much, if any, weight gain (my boobs didn't grow much either, but maybe half a cup size, and I've been on it for about 2 months). This birth control doesn’t do much for me to relieve cramps or heavy bleeding on my period (actually much worse than my old one when my period was either absent or one day), but I’m fine with it!! Also, Tri-Lo-Marzia doesn't make me as mean as my last one, but slightly more emotional when I’m PMSing, but I think that's just usual for me. Anyway, this BC is the best if you don’t want too much change."

"I've been on Tri-Lo for years (2-4). I tried Depo first and could never stop spotting on it. Back to Tri-Lo, no real change in skin. No dryness in my lady parts. Recently, over the last year or two, my mood has changed. I'm extremely irritable and short-tempered. I chalked it up to bad relationship problems. Now that that stress is over, I've really taken notice of the mood problems. Periods are short, never more than 5 days, I have no cramps or spotting. I love that. But I'm going to try another birth control (Kariva, per my doc) to see if it helps my moods. I noticed the first few months, I was 'always hungry,' but I regulated myself. I knew how long it had been since I ate, so I didn't eat or binge eat. So no real weight gain. I work with the public, so the mood issues are my only reason for trying a new med. You have to try these things yourself and see how you'll react. Don't trust all the reviews. Everyone is different. Birth control is trial and error. Best of luck!"

For Birth Control "I got switched to this by my pharmacy when Trinessa Lo was discontinued. I’m finishing my third pack and have had a terrible experience with this pill! I’m 27 and have had breakouts in places on my face that have never broken out before. I feel more depressed and anxious than ever. My head feels foggy and I just don’t feel like myself. Not to mention my period is still irregular-sometimes not coming until 4 days into the placebo week, or this time coming 4 days before the Sunday of the placebo week. Not good when part of the reason for taking it is to regulate. I tried to give this brand a chance but am switching ASAP, maybe even to IUD since I can’t find a brand. Anything but Tri-Lo-Marzia."

For Acne "I switched from Orthenia to Tri-Lo-Marzia. I am a very active person, and I have gained 16 pounds since starting this pill, and none of it will come off. The first month was awful. My back and face wouldn’t stop breaking out, and I had terrible vaginal dryness. The second month, things seemed to really be looking up. I lost a few pounds, the dryness went away, and my back cleared up. The third month, the dryness and weight came back, and my skin was super oily, which it never has been before. I hoped in the fourth month, everything would fade away, but I just kept gaining weight, same in the fifth month regardless of food or exercise. I feel swollen from all the water weight on this pill, and I’m losing energy. I don’t feel like myself, and it’s made me angry and mean, or at least more angry and mean than the last pill. The three things I can say are good about this pill: my period is barely existent, my face has no acne whatsoever, and I’m not pregnant, so it works, I guess."

For Acne "Tri-Lo-Marzia was my first birth control pill, and I took it for 3 months. I had been getting annoying hormonal acne along my jawline and chin every month, so my dermatologist suggested this. My period used to be 5 days long, but this pill made my period last 10 days, and it worsened my cramps. Also, my self-confidence plummeted, as this pill made me gain an extra 5-7 pounds. I looked and felt bloated all the time. At first, I blamed it on quarantine, but as soon as I switched to a generic version of Yaz, I dropped those extra pounds within a week. My acne maybe improved a little bit, but not enough to justify longer periods and weight gain. This pill did not work for me; I do not recommend."

For Birth Control "Been taking it for about 3 years now with a 2-month gap of not taking it after about 1 year in. I had very light periods (but mine were not heavy to begin with) and never really experienced cramping (I did previously have cramps). I was very good with taking it on time in the beginning but got lazier over time. Although I was not always on time, I didn’t worry about getting pregnant because it was effective. As for mood swings, I was slightly depressed on and off throughout the years, but I can’t tell if it was the BC or just me. Overall, a great birth control."

For Birth Control "In the beginning of taking this BC, it was not too bad. After a few months, I started experiencing side effects. I get cramps so bad I have to stop walking or stop any movement I'm making and just freeze until they go away. I also feel like I'm tired all of the time. Recently, I have been experiencing headaches and bloating. I've also noticed that ever since I have been on this birth control, I have an extremely low sex drive. I never did gain any weight, but I have been battling with crazy cravings. I have always had very bad hormonal acne, and after being on this birth control, I have noticed it cleared up some but not completely. I would be cautious if you are on this birth control. Give this birth control at least 3 months for your body to adjust. For me, I have given it a year, and it just keeps getting worse."

For Acne "I have been on this pill for about a year with hopes to clear my hormonal acne. It did not work at all and made me break out even more. It heightened my depression and anxiety even more than it already is. Possibly the worst birth control I’ve taken. I can’t be myself on it and thankfully am changing in the next couple of weeks. The only positive was that my sex drive stayed the same and there was no weight gain. But the depression, anxiety, and acne were too much to handle."

For Birth Control "My pharmacy switched me from Tri-Lo Sprintec to this because it was free on my insurance. I am on month 3. For me, the positives are that I've lost the weight I gained on Tri-Lo Sprintec, and I am no longer bloated all the time. However, my mood, which was even and calm before, changed immediately on this pill. My mood changes in an instant, and I've had several breakdowns and severe anxiety, which almost never happens to me. I am also starting to experience hair thinning and inflamed pimples all over my chin and cheek area, which was never an issue before, not since I took Accutane. I am switching after this pack to brand-name Ortho Tri-Cyclen Lo with the hopes that my skin clears back up and my mood stabilizes."

For Birth Control "Honestly, I didn’t love Tri-Lo-Marzia. It did nothing to help my acne, I gained a little water weight (5 lbs), and I experienced spotting every month after the second week of each pill pack. However, I am not pregnant, and my period is extremely light. Before starting this birth control, I used to get terrible cramps and nausea during my periods, and those things have really improved, so that’s a definite upside to Tri-Lo-Marzia. There are pros and cons, but I’m looking to switch now to something different."

"I want to give whomever is reading this a factual review. I started this because of acne and irregular cycles (painful, heavy, and erratic moods). This helped me very much. Later on, it was affirmed I was dealing with PCOS. At 36, you really think you'd be past deep cystic acne. I used this for 2 years, it cleared my acne and did everything it was supposed to do. Being close to menstrual cycle, occasionally a breakout occurred. However, I moved off this recently due to intense migraines at least 2 times weekly. The type was where you disappear into a dark room for nearly 24 hours. Overall, my review is positive as the migraines didn't start happening until over a year after taking it. Now, I am magically migraine-free. This is for someone fighting the demon PCOS (dieting helps even if it seems futile, just a longer time)."

For Endometriosis "I have been on this pill for 2 weeks, and let me tell you, I regret it. I have absolute RANDOM bouts of nausea and cold sweats, I am angry, weepy, dehydrated (hard to force myself to drink because of the nausea), and BLOATED. My fiancé is so worried because I have been to the hospital twice due to intense migraines and dehydration. Honestly, the recalled YAZ gave me fewer side effects than this! I'll be starting something new in a week. The only good thing is that it cleared up my minimal acne. I just want to enjoy my life again!"

For Birth Control "I was on Ortho Lo for nine years and recently was switched to Tri-Lo-Marzia. The first week, I was fine. I am now ending week 2 and am bloated, nauseous, and have cramps. I NEVER have gotten cramps since I’ve had my period at age 12 (now 25), and I’m not even near my period. I am trying to have a positive outlook, but I already am worried about this pill."

For Birth Control "I’m the type of person who reads reviews when trying a new medication, so when I was prescribed this and saw all the reviews, I was immediately anxious. I tried to remember everyone’s body is different, so I began taking it. The first few days were okay. On the sixth and seventh day, I started getting heart palpitations, which I could feel in my wrists and chest, as well as extreme anxiety and moodiness. On the eighth day, I had to call my doctor because the palpitations and anxiety were so intrusive that I couldn’t focus on work. I stopped, and two days later, I’m feeling back to my normal self again. Don’t take this!"

For Birth Control "I was switched to Tri-Lo-Marzia after having pretty bad side effects from other birth control pills. Immediately, I noticed I was cramping, always bloated, and crazy indigestion. I was hoping if I stuck with it, my body would adjust. I stayed on this 6 months before I had to stop. It's been almost 2 months since I stopped taking them, and I'm still dealing with indigestion and bloating."

For Acne "Worst experience of my life. I had really bad acne last year and went on this pill for about three months. My skin cleared tremendously within the first two months, but that literally didn't matter anymore due to the severe depression and anxiety this pill gave me. I was a completely different person. I was always exhausted, so easily irritated, and very depressed, and I also gained a lot of weight. I would cry over the slightest things too. Once I went off of it, I immediately felt like myself again, and I dropped the weight in the course of two months."
