"I have been on Ortho Tri Mili since 14, I have NEVER had issues now at 20 my dr decided to give me Sprintec as the "generic" for mili, and I have not had a single side effect with either. It 100% depends on the person taking it. It will not work the same for everyone."

"I was on Sprintec for 3-4 years when all of a sudden the pharmacy would call to say my script is ready for pick up and name something I never heard of, so I ignored it. I went 2 months without birth control then I started this new pill on a Sunday. I'm on month 3 of taking Mili. I cry for days, anxiety at its worst, I'm constantly bloated to the point that a 7 month pregnant coworker and I were comparing hardness of our bellies, always thirsty, and this acne on my chin is so damn bad I want to dig my skin off. All of these things I assumed was just regular woman things and my chin I blamed on the mask, but I've been wearing a mask for 2 years and this is recent. This pill is the worst. I accidentally found this thread while trying to search to see why I couldn't get the Sprintec anymore. Never did I imagine that so many others have been experiencing the exact same things from this pill. It's the worst. I am rating a 3 because, well, it prevents pregnancy..."

"I LOVE mili, I had such bad cystic acne before I started taking this pill. I had literally tried everything. Now my skin barely ever gets any breakouts, my skin is so clear besides my scars & i never thought I’d see it this way! I have had no side effects from this and I have been taking it for 2 months. This month my pharmacy changed me from Mili to Estarylla and I had the WORST anxiety , panic attacks, I was on my tippy toes 24/7 about everything. I cried a lot & I only took the pill for 2 weeks. I could not continue I had to call my pharmacy and order another pack & they made a note to NOT switch my birth controls again"

"This was HORRIBLE. I was skeptical to start taking it because all the bad reviews but remained hopeful. I took it for 3 weeks. Week one and two weren’t terrible. Some slight nausea. But by the third week I was so nauseous I was throwing up every morning. I stopped taking it because it’s not worth that !"

"This is the first and only birth control I’ve ever had. I’ve gained almost 30 pounds for someone who eats healthy and was a gym girl… I experienced hives out of no where sometimes, emotional, moody, fatigue, and I just wasn’t the same anymore… after I stopped, I felt happier and I saw my body changing to my (before) and as well as no more flare ups."

"OMG I am so glad I found these reviews. Light bulb went off and now I know what is causing my daughter to have horrible anxiety, depression, zero appetite, panic attacks, fatigue and zero motivation to do anything but sleep. My daughter is 19 years old and attends college . Four months ago we decided she should try and get on a BC pill that will help with her heavy periods and terrible cramps. The first month of taking the BC she was on lo loestrin commonly know as LO LO. She had some break through bleeding as a side effect nothing major. Second month when she received her next round she was given Mili brand BC without any notice of the switch. I can't tell you enough how horrible this last few months have been. My daughter deals with anxiety depression and has been treated for it with medication and had controlled. The last few months since taking Mili her anxiety has spun out of control along with her confidence. She feels nauseous every time she eats. DON'T TAKE!"

"This stuff is TERRIBLE. My pharmacy keeps switching me back and forth between Mili and Estarylla and Mononessa, and every time I take Mili I break out into horrible acne, my anxiety escalates significantly, and I have crazy mood swings. WORST birth control I’ve ever taken! This stuff should be discontinued."

"It’s clear based on the reviews this birth control works for some and not for others. This bc really messed me up. Threw my gastrointestinal tract out of whack and I gained a little weight as well. Mood swings are abundant and I’ve felt depressed and lethargic. Cannot wait to stop taking this bc! I’d rather deal with my heavy periods than this medicine changing who I am and making me constipated all the time."

"I’m almost finished my second pill pack of Mili contraceptive pill. So far my period was heavier than normal and longer but since it was the first one I’m gonna give it time to regulate. My mood swings are terrible and I’m overly emotional about everything. I’m not gaining weight and I’ve noticed less breakouts."

"This is the worst. I was on Sprintec and switched to this from CVS. Within two weeks I had extreme motion sickness and could cry at any moment. I called CVS and they were able to special order me sprintec. Thank goodness!"

"My pharmacy had ran out of Sprintec (which I had been taking for 8 months - with no issues) so my doctor prescribed me Mili, because it “has the same formula as Sprintec”. I came here to read some of the reviews and saw how it destroyed so many lives and caused severe side effects. Although I warned my doctor about the side effects, I still took it anyway, hoping I could muscle through the pain and wait for my body to get used to it. I took Mili FOR TWO DAYS and it caused me severe nausea and fatigue. I ate it on a full stomach (as recommended) and it still gave me these symptoms. I had never felt so weak in life, I could not bathe myself by the second day. I’m switching pharmacies and going back to Sprintec, I cannot function while on this bc."

"I’ve been on Mili for about a year now and I’ve experienced no side effects. I haven’t gained any weight from the pills, and my period starts on the same day of every month which is extremely helpful. And in regards to preventing pregnancy- it’s worked perfectly for me."

"I was on this pill for about 6 months. I was 16 when I first started taking it. It was alright at first, after I would take it I’d just get pretty sleepy and a little nauseous. It helped with my period cramps not being as bad and hardly there. My periods have always been extremely regular. I already have a short period, longest is 4 days. It made my period shorter than that but it caused me to spot in between my period and one month I skipped a period and some months I had it twice. I took it at 8 pm every day, I would be fine until the morning. I’d wake up and throw up for the first 30 minutes of being awake. I always felt weak and it made me hardly able to eat. It really took a toll on me as a person and made me super depressed. It’s been about 3 months being off and my body is finally getting back to normal. The one thing I would say it did help with was my cramps and I would have as bad PMS symptoms."

"This was the WORST birth control I have ever been on. The pill for me in general hasn't been that great and found myself calling my doctor every month for a new prescription. None of mine were as worse as this one. I have been on this pill for two months now and have not stopped bleeding. This has never happened with me and birth control. My mood is constantly down and I am very irritable ALL the time. My weight went up about 10 pounds and my skin is breaking out like crazy. Please save yourself from all of this and try anything else but this brand."

"I switched from Sprintec to Mili birth control pill. Sprintec made me feel like I was going crazy and made me super emotional and was the worst. I feel an improvement in my mental health since switching from Sprintec to Mili for sure though. My periods are lighter, I do get headaches, slight mood swings and I have gained a little bit of weight since starting. My acne has cleared up almost entirely though."

"I’ve been on Sprintec for 3 years now and they switched me about a month ago and I’ve had stomach ache and throwing up almost every day, this pill needs to stop production. I thought I had stomach problems but it’s this dumb pill I will never in my life switch pills again Sprintec was the best I’m on my second month and finally I’m switching back, never do mili."

"I’m writing on here because I’ve been taking Mili for about two weeks now after taking Sprintec for 3 months. I used to have issues with yeast infections with ortho tri cyclin lo and after developing them about every month I got a generic version which helped A LOT. I was on that no-name brand for years and then went off the pill for a few months due to lack of insurance. I started up again taking Sprintec after detailing the side effects I’ve had before with BC to the doctor. No issues with Sprintec and was happy. Now I started Mili and after two weeks, I’ve experienced two yeast infections and increased anxiety. One positive is that I haven’t had much nausea which I’ve been know to have with my other generic. I know that switching to a different BC can have negative effects initially, but I’m not willing to deal with it again like I had before! I’m stopping Mili"

"Absolutely horrible. Do not take this!!!!! Severe migraines, extremely nauseous and horrible mood swings. I have tried many different types of birth control (brand name and generic) and I have never experienced side effects like on this Mili birthcontrol pill."

"This was the worst birth control. I was on Estarylla prior to this and estarylla was actually great for me. I had light bleeding and hardly any cramps. I was happy with it. Walgreens suddenly told me that they no longer make it so they were giving me Mili which was “the same”. It no way was it the same. As soon as I switched pills, I bled for an entire month. It was nonstop bleeding and it was just clots of blood. I was showering up to five times a day and changing pads every hour. I took it a second month after me and my doctor thought maybe I had to adjust to the new pill. The second month was a mistake because the same thing happened and I just bled nonstop. There was about a week in between where I did not bleed. Don’t take Mili. It’s horrible!"

"I started taking Mili because my pharmacy stopped carrying Sprintec. I haven’t had any side effects and I always know exactly the day I’ll start and stop bleeding. Everyone reacts differently of course, but don’t let the number of negative reviews keep you from at least trying it to see if it works for you. —especially if you deal with hormonal acne (that’s why I take it specifically and it’s worked phenomenally)"

"I embarked on my journey with Milli birth control in December 2022, starting on the first day of my menstrual cycle. However, the initial experience left me apprehensive as I encountered prolonged bleeding for about 15 days. Concerned, I decided to discontinue the pill, opting to give it another shot a few months later. In June 2023, I decided to restart Milli, this time initiating it on the first Sunday after the conclusion of my last period. Since then, Milli has been a game-changer. Notably, my skin has significantly cleared up. Though I occasionally feel sensitive during placebo weeks, it's unclear if it's linked to the pill or personal life events. Nausea was a brief issue in the first week, but I've had no complications since. No weight gain or heavy periods have occurred, and I feel more regulated overall. Despite initial hesitation, I'm glad I gave Milli another chance. It's a reminder that everyone's experience with birth control is unique."

"Personally, I was nervous to start this because of all the bad reviews. But I haven't had any - maybe some mood swings, but I can't tell if it's because of the pill or just life events. I haven't had any nausea or anything from it. It does prevent pregnancy pretty well - I haven't gotten pregnant. I lost my pills and missed three days, so my period started, and then it happened regularly the next month when I got back on it. Still didn't feel any effects."

"I started the first day of my next period, spotted light pink between periods once. My periods line up with my placebo pills (start 1-2 days into them). Helped my acne. Have gained a little weight since starting. Hope this helps someone."
