Sprintec (ethinyl estradiol / norgestimate) "There are so many mixed reviews for this product and honestly you can't just go by what some of them say. Everyone's body is different and will react differently to medications. I've never had a problem with Sprintec, but others may. It's completely up to your body as to how it will react with the medication. It's fine to start out with it first since it is the cheapest birth control and if it doesn't work for you...switch."

Ortho Cyclen (ethinyl estradiol / norgestimate) "I have been on Ortho Cyclen for a few months and my periods have finally regulated. The only difference in my body image is that I have gained a cup size and my butt has gotten bigger, but my weight is the same so I have no problem with that!"

Tri-Lo-Sprintec (ethinyl estradiol / norgestimate) "GOD THIS BIRTH CONTROL IS AWESOME. As my first birth control pill ever, I can say this pill has been super good to me. Much lighter periods and no cramping. No pregnancy scares. No more acne except for the occasional pimple. My sex drive hasn’t changed. No nausea or headaches. I’ve been on it since the beginning of January and I’m more than happy with my experience so far. :))) Don’t listen to all the bad reviews!! It may work phenomenally for you."

Sprintec (ethinyl estradiol / norgestimate) "I've been on this birth control for almost a year. I started on Ortho Tri-Cyclen for a little under a month it gave a period that didn't stop until I switched to Sprintec. I have close to zero side effects on Sprintec. It has been amazing for acne, my face is really clear now. No weight gain. I do have a really active sex life . I have been on antibotics for bladder infections and not gotten pregnant. The only thing I have noticed I do tend to shove people away when its close to my period. Not every period though. I've only experienced cramps one period in my life which was a couple of months ago, but I think it was due to stress. Also before this medication my periods were very irregular now they are always on the dot."

Tri-Sprintec (ethinyl estradiol / norgestimate) "I am only ten days into my first pack of Tri-Sprintec and I can already see changes. I'm not one to have acne, I just get the occasional pimples or tiny zits, but they're all gone now. Even more interesting though, is that my breasts went up a cup size, and my voice is now lighter too. It's too soon to know it's birth control effectiveness, or it's affects on weight gain yet for me. But I have noticed it's slimmed down my day time appettite, but at night, literally I cannot seem to get full. Weird. Anyway, it's good for a broke college student like me."

Tri-Previfem (ethinyl estradiol / norgestimate) "I have just started my third month of Previfem, and I have had almost no side effects! My breasts have grown so much though!(not that I'm complaining) this was my first birth control and I'm very happy I chose it. It makes my periods much lighter, and if anything it increased my sex drive. I've noticed that I'm not as moody when I'm on my period, and I am so happy about that. I have had a very pleasant experience so far."

Ortho Tri-Cyclen Lo (ethinyl estradiol / norgestimate) "I have been using Ortho Tri-Cyclen Lo for 6 years now and I have always absolutely loved it! I never experienced weight gain, acne, mood swings and my period is every fourth Wednesday. I have no complaints. It is the perfect birth control for me."

Sprintec (ethinyl estradiol / norgestimate) "This was the first birth control I have been on and I love it. I have been on it for 6 months now and the only side effect I have had was a little bit of weight gain. It is only 7 lbs and I would bet quite a bit that it is all in my breasts. I went from a 34D to a 34DDD. Other than that, I have had no other side effects. My fiance and I both agree that my sex drive has increased tremendously since I started taking Sprintec. This was just how it affected me."

Tri-Sprintec (ethinyl estradiol / norgestimate) "Today is my 8th day of taking Tri Sprintec. Let me start off by saying it’s been 7 years since I’ve been on any type of birth control. I’m 31, and have two daughters ages 6 and 2. I decided to start taking the pill again to regulate my periods and obviously as a contraceptive. I originally came here for the reviews on the pill’s weight gain since I’ve been pretty bloated the last 5 days (not to mention the miserable constipation and cramping). Other than that, I used to suffer from daily headaches/ occasional migraines and I haven’t had one as of yet! My husband says he’s noticed my mood has changed; for the better! My random mood swings are no more, but honestly my headaches were the main reason for my misery. My skin has cleared up dramatically and I haven’t been drowsy exhausted during the day like I used to. Over all I’d say so far so good! I’ll post an update after I finish my 30 day pack. Lastly I want to add I take it right before bed to avoid any nausea."

Sprintec (ethinyl estradiol / norgestimate) "alright so when I was prescribed this I was so scared to take it after reading some reviews. I just got on accutane a couple months before going on Sprintec and was scared it would mess up my skin but it actually helped so much with my skin. Another reason why I was prescribed it was before this I got the copper IUD worse decision of my life and didn't stop bleeding for 4 months after I got it removed I was still bleeding, then 1 week after being on sprintec the bleeding completely stopped. Don't be scared off from taking this medicine everything works different for people. I also suffer from an eating disorder and was terrified to gain weight it's been 5 months of me on this pill and I haven't gained a pound. The only thing I have noticed is that my boobs and butt got way bigger and my boobs are always kinda sore but I'll take that over constantly bleeding all the time"

Tri-Lo-Mili (ethinyl estradiol / norgestimate) "I’ve been on it for almost two months and I have been very emotional. I have gotten mad about very little things. I have felt very bloated… although my sex drive is OUT OF THIS WORLD. Literally have thought about sex almost every day. Hopefully I don’t get pregnant cause I don't want kids now. Although on my first month I have been three days late for my period, and so was worried I was pregnant. I have been eating A LOT. So far I give this birth control a 8/10 unless I’m pregnant then I give it a -194739/10"

Mili (ethinyl estradiol / norgestimate) "This is my first time on any kind of BC, and I can certainly say that I've had a positive experience with Mili. Most of the negative reviews seem to be from those who've switched from Sprintec, and it makes sense that switching medications would throw your body off track. However, as someone who's taken Mili for over a year now, my acne has cleared and my period has significantly shortened (which is why I started taking it due to my heavy flows). These side effects took only about a month to kick in. My weight has stayed the same even after a year, and I don't experience many mood swings. I'm also someone who often got headaches, but the frequency of headaches now has been reduced too. Mili has been working great during the entire time I've been taking it."

Ortho Tri-Cyclen (ethinyl estradiol / norgestimate) "I haven't gotten pregnant on this pill hence I gave it a 10 for effectiveness. I have been on it for 6 months. I have gained 27 lbs on my 5 foot frame. Month one I started noticing a decline in my sex drive. My flawless face became a pepperoni pizza. Still didn't get off the pill the last couple of weeks I started having this feeling of not wanting to do anything that anymore. Did not want to work, nor go to school, and started doubting my feelings for my boyfriend. I started crying like a crazy person. It was just hard for me to get up. I was sleepy all the time. I am getting off this."

Tri-Lo-Sprintec (ethinyl estradiol / norgestimate) "I’ve been on this birth control for about a year, it works great at preventing pregnancies if taken perfectly. I haven’t had much side effects except occasional headaches but they aren’t too bad. It also lowered my PMS mood swings! I really like this birth control and I always get my period on the second day of the placebos. I say give it a try because I read all of the bad reviews and was so scared to take it but it ended up being fine. This was the first birth control I was prescribed and it is fine! I’m also glad I’m not paranoid about getting pregnant because I know the pill is working."

Since I've been on it i vomited twice and anytime i eat something my stomach feels empty, even though i ate a lot. My periods have been coming on time and my face is clearing. My only problem is the bad stomach pains."

Sprintec (ethinyl estradiol / norgestimate) "Do not take Sprintec. I've been on it for two weeks and I'm quitting already. This medicine makes me extremely nauseous and gave me prolonged headaches. On top of that it and made my face break out horribly and I've gained 7 pounds. No, just no. Take a hard pass on this one and try something else."

Estarylla (ethinyl estradiol / norgestimate) "I really didn't like this Estarylla birth control. I was initially on Femynor (LOVE) but one day I picked up my prescription and I was given Estarylla. I called my Gyno and the nurse said it was a generic brand and shouldn’t effect me much, but it was AWFUL. I was on it for two months. I probably didn’t give time for it to settle in, but Femynor never gave me this many issues so early on. I was very depressed, unmotivated, broke out, tired, experienced a lot of anxiety attacks, and super nauseated. I know everyone is different, but for me it was the worst. My period went rather smoothly, I will say, but other than that, AWFUL! I recommend Femynor 10/10"

Tri-Lo-Estarylla (ethinyl estradiol / norgestimate) "FIRST OFF DON'T LOOK AT REVIEWS BECAUSE EVERYONES BODY IS DIFFERENT AND THERES NO WAY TO KNOW WHAT YOURS IS GOING TO DO. That being said I was put on this birth control after having severe anxiety and depression (which I had never experienced before) on a previous birth control. I have had absolutely zero side effects with this one. Plus my boobs got a size bigger which is a plus."

Tri-Previfem (ethinyl estradiol / norgestimate) "I used to take Tri-Sprintec but my pharmacy switched me to Tri-Previfem. I have been on it for about a year and at first it was alright but after a few months, I noticed things were starting to change. I started feeling depressed, developing anxiety, and I noticed my libido was declining. I didn't really think much of it but now, it is getting worse and worse. I have been having anxiety attacks, which I never had before taking this. I have been more depressed than ever before. And don't even get me started on my libido. I am only 21 and I never want to have sex any more. I have been with my boyfriend for 5 years and I used to always want to do it. Now, it seems like I have to force myself to do anything and I shouldn't have to do that."

Estarylla (ethinyl estradiol / norgestimate) "This is my first BC experience. I went to the doctor and she prescribed Sprintec but the pharmacy gave me Estarylla. I went along with it. The first month was pretty awful, so I assumed all the bad reviews were true. My period lasted two whole weeks. It wasn't just spotting, it was medium to heavy flow. I was cramping every day as well. I decided to keep trying it because it was my first time ever taking birth control, so I blamed it on my body not being familiar with it. I'm glad I stuck it out because the second and third month have been perfect. Absolutely no spotting, my period was only 4 days and it was lighter as well. Not as bad of cramps like I used to get. No abnormal weight gain. My skin isn't clearer, but it also isn't any worse (this may take a little longer to show results). As for mentally, there were a couple of days I felt a little more angry than normal, but it wasn't anything I couldn't control. Sex drive didn't change. It has also been an effective birth control."

Tri-Lo-Marzia (ethinyl estradiol / norgestimate) "I've been on Tri-Lo Marzia for a bit over 3 months. I read these reviews before starting, and the bad ones really outnumbered the good ones — they scared me. The side effects turned out to be better than I expected. I had cramps on my first week of starting the pill were other-worldly. I spent the week doubled over in pain. Periods since then have been lighter but last longer. My boobs grew immediately - like a second puberty or a natural boob job. Sounds silly but they've made me feel more womanly/powerful. My acne got a bit worse, covering my chin and cheeks faintly. Not much effect on weight/sex drive. The worst thing is mental health; I'm extremely sensitive, my weeks are emotional rollercoasters. I have depressive episodes similar to when I was in my darkest place. It's hard to point fingers straight at the pill, but I know myself, and I know that I'm not currently myself. Probably going to stay on, tho. The pros kinda outweigh the cons :/"

Ortho Tri-Cyclen Lo (ethinyl estradiol / norgestimate) "I must admit that some of the things that people experience from this pill is scary. ONE THING TO KNOW IS JUST BECAUSE THEY HAVE THIS EXPERIENCE DOESNT MEAN YOU WILL. ALWAYS TRY IT YOURSELF. DIFFERENT BODIES HAVE DIFFERENT REACTIONS. I have been on this birth control for about 4 months now and I love it. I dont have mood swings at all I am very calm at all times. I did not used to be. I dont have vaginal dryness, yeast infections, UTI's, or anything else that people are saying besides breast tenderness. It only seems to be tender at night. I have not gained any weight. I think my breast are getting bigger which is a plus to me. I don't have acne like I used to. My periods are very light now."
