Estarylla (ethinyl estradiol / norgestimate) "These reviews definitely gave me mixed feelings, but I'm already one week in. The only side effects I've had so far is during my 2nd-4th day I was EXTREMELY nauseous, especially a few hours after I took the medication, but that resolved itself within a week and I'm having no current side effects. I'm taking it for hormone regulation to ease PMS symptoms because they worsen my psych issues (mainly BPD symptoms and ASD overstimulation) LIKE CRAZY. I also wanted a more regular period, so I'll leave another review within the next few months. Also from what I've read, it seems like a lot of people who had a bad experience was given it as a replacement for another birth control pill. This is the first one I've ever taken. I'd say give it a try because it might work out for you."

Tri-Lo-Marzia (ethinyl estradiol / norgestimate) "It was my first time on birth control I thought okay, cool. I was trying to get my hormones in check more than anything else. WRONG. since starting I’ve had severe anxiety, racing heart, racing thoughts, disorientation, insomnia, thoughts of suicide and pretty harsh depressive episodes. It’s been miserable. I haven’t seen anyone else really talking about this but it’s been so extreme. It’s been miserable, I’ve had the constant “I’m going absolutely crazy thought” . But as soon as I stopped it’s like I was back to normal. I know everyone is different and maybe it’s just me but I really can’t handle this pill..."

Estarylla (ethinyl estradiol / norgestimate) "I will say, I was very hesitant to try this after reading all of the negative reviews, especially since this was the first time I've ever been on birth control, but keep in mind that not everyone reacts the same to medication and contraceptives. I am currently on my 4th pack and my period starts at the same time every month and is a lot lighter and I also don’t cramp as bad as I used to. As far as the birth control aspect of it, it definitely works if used correctly. On my first pack, I did experience a little bit of nausea and mood swings but now that I’m used to it being in my system, I don’t experience any side effects. I recommend it"

Ortho Tri-Cyclen Lo (ethinyl estradiol / norgestimate) "I've been taking this Birth control for 3 months after fighting with my insurance about not wanting the generic because they are different as we all know. I was approved OTCL so I was stoked. Even though OTCL reviews are scary, I'm prone to anxiety, depression and I had not ONE side effect from OTCL. Today I am very upset because according to pharmacists The manufacturer has discontinued Ortho Tri Cyclen LO?Why would the company do this? my insurance and I were paying for this and This is the ONLY birth control that has zero side effects for me I don't know what to do now. After doing extensive research on Tri Lo Sprintec, ALMOST ALL PEOPLE SWITCH BACK TO ORTHO TRI CYCLEN LO BECAUSE OF SIDE EFFECTS FROM TRI LO SPRINTEC OR ANOTHER OTCL GENERIC. I was told that generics have different binders in them (fillers such as sugar amount or other chemicals) that make body absorb medication differently PLEASE BRING BACK OTCL, I hope this is a False alarm and my BC will be back"

Tri-Estarylla (ethinyl estradiol / norgestimate) "My pharmacy automatically switched me to Tri-Estarylla after Tri-Prevefim wasn’t partnering with them, and it genuinely was the worst 3 weeks of 2020/2021 and that’s saying a lot. Although allegedly sharing the same ingredients as Tri-Prevefim, Estarylla made me legit crazy. From lack of sex drive and less lubrication to the most dramatic mood swings that only toddlers should have. Within a two hour period at one point: I was angry, too happy, too depressed, too giggly, too sad, too frustrated, and topped it off with crying the night away. I might as well get an Oscar for my performance. Jokes aside, please do not subject yourself to this misery."

Estarylla (ethinyl estradiol / norgestimate) "I’ve been on this pill Estarylla for 3 years. It was the generic form Ortho Tri Cyclen. This pill has caused me severe depression, brain fog, a feeling like a heavy darkness over my life with suicidal thoughts, anger and aggression, and migraine headaches. I’ve had severe anxiety, constipation, stomach pain. When I’m off for the 7 day placebo tablets I feel the best, but then I start the new pack Sunday and the cycle starts again until the end of the pack. This product should be discontinued. I did clear up my skin and prevent pregnancy but it hasn’t been worth it."

Mili (ethinyl estradiol / norgestimate) "HORRIBLE! I was on Sprintec which I loved, no side effects at all. Unfortunately my pharmacy ran out of Sprintec and gave me this awful little pill. My mood swings are horrible, I am extra emotional, my stomach is severely bloated as if I am pregnant, bad gas, night sweats, and the worse of it all I CAN NOT STOP EATING. Since taking this I am hungry all the time and I'm reaching for carbs mainly. This is terrible and I spoke with my gyno and she sent another prescription to the pharmacy to give me only Sprintec that they can not give me any other."

Ortho Tri-Cyclen Lo (ethinyl estradiol / norgestimate) "Not sure why this particular birth control has received so many bad reviews on this website. I’ve been taking Ortho Tri-Cyclen Lo for close to 4 years now and it’s been VERY reliable. It helped regulate my menstrual cycle, I haven’t gained weight, no issues with acne. I haven’t experienced any negative side effect. This review is from a Canadian."

Sprintec (ethinyl estradiol / norgestimate) "First, I’m not writing this to scare people who haven’t taken Sprintec yet, because clearly it does work for some people. I do want to warn those who start taking it and notice emotional changes to stop taking this pill. I felt like I was going crazy on this birth control. I experienced intense sadness, I felt like I didn’t know who I was, and was on the verge of tears all the time. It was awful. Unfortunately, I didn’t realize my birth control was causing this at first. I got a therapist and was mildly depressed for months. One month I was feeling so unmotivated I just stopped taking my birth control for 3 weeks. Eventually I started a new pack and within a few days I noticed that I felt just as horrible as I did when I first started Sprintec. The reviews here helped me realize I wasn’t alone. I contacted my provider immediately and switched to Yaz with side effects so far :) Please, if you relate to this don’t make the mistake I did and switch to another birth control!!!"

Tri-Sprintec (ethinyl estradiol / norgestimate) "So I've been on this pill for 9 months. It's given me really bad mood swings, depression, etc. I almost feel manic depressive on it. The hormone levels change drastically throughout the pill pack which is why you get mood swings. Look for a monophasic birth control instead - going off this drug now. It worked on the whole no-pregnancy bit and my periods were very short & light. No acne either. But I'd rather not feel crazy."

Tri-Sprintec (ethinyl estradiol / norgestimate) "I am completely satisfied with this pill. Unless you have really bad side effects, I wouldn't listen to reviews of people that have been on it for a few days only. You have to give your body time to adjust to hormones that you put in, 3-4 months. I am happy with this pill, no side effects at all. It regulated my periods, I know when they're coming and they're short. It keeps my skin clear. No weight gain, slightly bigger breasts but not complaining. No depression, headaches, hair loss, or breast soreness. It only cost me $9.99... can't beat that! This pill works perfectly for me."

Tri-Sprintec (ethinyl estradiol / norgestimate) "I have had absolutely no problems with Tri-Sprintec. I don't have any side effects at all. No weight gain, no mood swings, no depression, no anxiety, no nausea, same sex drive. (No increase in breast size either - I WISH I had that side effect!) I feel exactly the same taking this as I did not taking any birth control. The only difference is my periods are lighter and shorter, and my cramps are no longer severe. By the way, I was really scared to take this because of the negative reviews I read! But before you decide this is a bad pill, give it a try. Every woman's body is different and your experience will just depend on your body!"

Tri-Lo-Mili (ethinyl estradiol / norgestimate) "I’ve been on Tri-Lo-Mili for over a year it’s my first birth control. I’m switching to a more permanent form of birth control for conveniency reasons. But this birth control has been nothing but great. I am highly sexually active with one partner and do not use other forms of contraceptive. I’ve gotten my period every month on time for the past year. I’m the same as I was before taking it and I would 100% recommend it to others. I was extremely emotional at first just sensitive to yelling and conflict, the idea of an animal in harm had me sobbing but that faded away after about six months. But in my experience it’s definitely done it’s job at preventing pregnancy considering I use it on its own. And with minimal to no side effects. Everyone is different but I would recommend :)"

Mili (ethinyl estradiol / norgestimate) "I've never written a review but I feel so strongly about this pill I need to share. I've been taking Sprintec for four years, I got switched to this one because of a shortage. I've been taking this pill for three days and I already want to stop. I've had a headache for three days, been so nauseous every time I eat that I have to lay down and close my eyes, my anxiety has been so much worse and I don't feel like doing anything, going to the store, doing my school work or even going on drives with my friends because I’m scared I’ll be so nauseous I’ll throw up. I never want to take this pill again and will be stopping immediately. If I could rate it -100 I would"

Tri-Sprintec (ethinyl estradiol / norgestimate) "This birth control for me has only really done me a few favors and that’s being free and not getting me pregnant. However that being said, the side effects I can’t justify I recently turned 18 and started taking the pill my first month was fine but the more I take it the worse I’m getting I’m having constant anxiety and panic attacks I always feel extremely worried stressed and overwhelmed. I’m very irritable and impatient, not to mention it gives me horrendous headaches and recently extreme nausea and vomiting. Not to get into too much detail, but just absolutely projectile vomiting everywhere. Feeling very feverish hot and cold sweats not to mention for period cramps, it does nothing my cramps feel just as bad as they were before and my period is just as heavy and maybe even a little longer my sex drive has definitely decreased and sex is painful I nearly bleed a little each time. It’s causing me to go crazy and I have trouble even sleeping w some of the symptoms."

Ortho Tri-Cyclen (ethinyl estradiol / norgestimate) "I've been on this pill for the past 8 years. I absolutely love it! After having tried 2 different types of birth control pills before I found this one. This is the one for me, it cleared up my acne within a month of taking it, I've had no weight gain or weight loss, no headaches. Normal cramps and a shorter period (4-5 days)."

Femynor (ethinyl estradiol / norgestimate) "I’m on the 2nd month of taking Femnyor. I had nausea & headaches the first 4 days of taking it. I’d take it at 11pm but I’d wake up nauseous in the middle of the night. But it wasn’t bad to the point of throwing up. I will say I felt more affected emotionally. During the 3rd week, my emotions felt all over the place. I have a history of anxiety & it did aggravate it. I cried for no reason, felt more anxious than usual & some paranoia. This lasted about a week. During the last week of taking the sugar pills, I did not get a period. I only had very light spotting for 2 days. This is a big pro for me. No PMS or cramping at all. Yes it was rough the first few weeks, but the side effects have worn off after the 1st month. This birth control is also inexpensive for me, I pay $8 monthly. Don’t let the reviews scare you, give it a try. It takes some time for your body to adjust. I hope it works for you, will update at the end of month 2"

Estarylla (ethinyl estradiol / norgestimate) "Like many of the other ladies I was on Femynor and my pharmacy switched me to this because they were out. I noticed the change almost immediately by day 4 I threw the pack away. My husband noticed that I was easily angered, was crying for everything and seemed depressed. I had tried them about 2 years ago and had the same problem. Every body is different but I'm sharing my experience because the pharmacist made it seem as if I was crazy. You know your body!"

Sprintec (ethinyl estradiol / norgestimate) "It hasn't made me sick or caused acne. I went to the doctors twice from urinary tract infection since I've been on it. I've been taking it for a month now and my mood has changed severely. I have no interest in sex at all, I get dry and I have no intention of wanting to do it. I feel stressed and depressed and I've never been like that. I feel bad for my boyfriend and its been ruining our love life. I'm calling my doctor to switch as soon as she is available. When they say birth control doesn't affect your mood, they are wrong! Read the other reviews."

Sprintec (ethinyl estradiol / norgestimate) "I have had a great experience with sprintec actually. I have been using this for about a year and have not felt the side effects I used to feel with other birth control pills. My mood is pretty regulated, I never got sore breasts, my appetite was normal throughout and I have not felt nauseous once. I haven't gotten pregnant either so I will continue use for as long as it's available and working in harmony with my body. 10/10"

Tri-Lo-Mili (ethinyl estradiol / norgestimate) "So far I've had it for 3 1/2 months. I truthfully have found it very nice. I haven't gained any weight, have a normal appetite, and my acne has slowly but healthily improved. I do keep a good diet and consistently exercise. I am highly sexually active and don't use condoms. My partner pulls out so I haven't had any problems. I'm still a little scared for them to finish while inside so I can't add my input on that. My mood hasn't drastically changed; however, my first period since starting it lasted 10 days, when normally it's only 6 days. At my 3-month mark, I've gone down to 8 days, but hopefully, it continues to go down each period until it returns to its normal length. My period is very heavy the first few days but overnight will switch to very light, which is kinda odd. Overall, I recommend it for people who are scared of weight gain and want it to get rid of cramps and acne!"

Ortho Tri-Cyclen (ethinyl estradiol / norgestimate) "The positive I had on this medication was having great, clear skin. But the negatives very heavily outweigh the positives. Ive been on this for a month and a half and already have to stop taking it. I get constant headaches, my mood swings are off the wall (affecting my boyfriend and i's relationship), nausea, difficulty concentrating, irrational thoughts and depression. Switching off of this immediately. If you are prone to depression DO NOT take this pill!"

At first it was giving me headaches so I started to take it right before bed. My face has cleared up a lot with the occasional zit around my period. Period have become lighter with less cramps and my breasts have gotten fuller. The only thing that I have noticed is my sex drive isn't what it used to be, but it could just be me."
