For Birth Control "Absolutely the worse BC I’ve been on in my 13+ years. I will refuse to accept this when I go in for a refill. This has given me horrible cramps, headache, breast pain and tenderness, mood swings, nausea and has killed my sex drive, definitely no way to get pregnant on this if you never want to do anything so I guess it works in that aspect. STAY AWAY I wish I would have known before leaving the pharmacy, I can’t wait for this to be over!"

For Birth Control "As far as birth control, Extarylla works. My periods are regular and there is no spotting between them. As far as everything else, this pill is horrible. For the longest time I have not been able to figure out what was causing my anxiety and depressive episodes. I have always battled with anxiety, but this pill has made it so much worse. As soon as I stopped taking it I was anxiety free (outside of the normal), and my sex drive increased by miles. I wouldn’t recommend this pill to anyone, especially those who struggle with anxiety. Never again."

For Acne "I have recently started my third month of Estarylla and I am trying to be really patient with this pill because I have not experienced any side effects that I read. Not even one! My mood is the same, I have always been emotional (Cancer moon and sun), and I am not feeling sick or anything like that. I understand that it takes time for things to adjust nothing is instant so hopefully toward the end of this month I will start to see changes!"

For Birth Control "I’ve been taking Estarylla for about 4 months now. Before this I was taking sprintec and it seemed to be working just fine for me . The pharmacy changed the prescription saying that it was the same birth control with no different side effects. Wrong!!! I am a little bit of an emotional and sensitive person as it is, but this birth control has turned me into the worst emotional wreck that I have ever been!!! I am constantly nauseous with relief very rarely. Headaches come and go but it’s mostly the nausea, anxiety and depression. I definitely would not recommend this birth control to any girl who wants to keep their happy spirit alive and kicking. It’s terrible."

For Birth Control "The WORST! I was switched to after years of being on mononessa. Mononessa gave me no issues. I have never had depression before and over the last year I have been depressed, and one time I had suicidal thoughts. I get irate at small things .Like a coworker not refilling the handsoap or I would start crying when the person driving in front of me took too long to turn. I have always been a happy person and I never felt like myself when I was taking this pill. I am chronically fatigued all day, everyday. I can sleep 8 hours and still not want to get up. I started having to take naps daily because otherwise I can't even handle a small task, like the dishes. Gained a few pounds and even with exercising 5 days a week, and eating healthy I couldn't lose weight. I am a bubbly, active individual..not on this. I wasted over a year of my life, feeling crappy about myself & crying because of this pill. This pill has tormented me. My sex drive was weak. I hope no one else has to experience any of this."

For Birth Control "I’ve taken Estarylla for 4 months now, and I’m getting headaches frequently, a metal taste in my mouth that comes and goes, low energy/lethargy pretty much all the time, appetite issues. Even when I’m eating well I still don’t feel right. The week before my period had come I had a variety of pregnancy symptoms, and I’ve had symptoms of anxiety and depression on and off. I’m not very thrilled with this birth control, and I’m thinking about either getting off of it or switching to something else."

For Birth Control "I was switched to Estarylla last year after my pharmacy stopped carrying MonoNessa. Have had zero issues whatsoever—never experienced anything the other reviewers are mentioning. Seamless transition from my previous birth control, no side effects, and my cycle is very regular. It’s supposedly supposed to help with acne but I haven’t noticed a huge difference in my skin so I cant vouch for that, but as a birth control it works perfectly and I have zero complaints!"

For Endometriosis "I began using the Estarylla for heavy periods and cramping. After a month, my periods got lighter, the cramping became manageable, and I even felt better overall. I had no side effects whatsoever and had better results on this than I did Sprintec. I would definitely recommend this medication!"

For Acne "I began taking this pill for my acne. I switched to this one because I was getting horrible cramps. I am 3 months in and have noticed a few side effects. 1: My period is ridiculous. I thought BC was supposed to help regulate and I have no idea when my period is coming or how long it will last. I've had a period for 2 weeks on, one week off, and then back to when my period should be again. Awful. 2: It has not helped me acne and may have actually made it worse. It is still early and it might just be getting used to my system still, so I am unsure. 3: my sex-drive is dead. Absolutely, positively birth control cause the idea of having sex (or even kissing) makes me sick and uncomfortable. On the bright side I don't have cramps anymore but I have no clue when my period or spotting will happen or for how long. I do plan to switch asap."

For Birth Control "I was on Estarylla for 3 1/2 months. I had never taken any birth control before starting it. I got bad cramping and heavy spotting in between periods. In the short amount of time taking Estarylla, I had gained about 30 pounds without changing diet or exercising or any other lifestyle changes. I literally went up two pant sizes and I was so bloated. My moods were completely uncomfortable and I didn’t even feel like myself. I am still trying to lose the weight and it’s been 8 months off of all birth control."

For Acne "I was on Monessa for about 1-2 years, I recently went to the pharmacy to pick up my regular prescription until they advised me that the manufacture changed which was why they gave me Estarylla. The only time my face would get a pimple or two would be when I would be getting my period. My period is not due for another 2 & a half weeks- I’ve only been taking Estarylla for a week and my face has been breaking out like NEVER before. I’m very high on skin care routines and it isn’t helping my skin at all."

For Abnormal Uterine Bleeding "This birth control works great for a contraceptive though I was on it for my periods. The side effects is why I changed to a different pill. In the beginning I had a lot of break through bleeding but once it got into my system; it got better. I cried continuously for the first 2 weeks of every month with made me and everyone else around me angry. that's why I switched to a lower dose."

For Ovarian Cysts "I was on Mononessa originally for about 2 years because I have ovarian cysts and endo. I was switched to Estarylla in January and I've been taking it every day, as directed, since. I've had some really odd side affects that I had no idea were side affects until I read some of these reviews. My boobs are constantly tender and achy, I've been losing hair like you couldn't imagine, and recently I've been having some other (worse) issues that I haven't seen a lot of women talk about so maybe it isn't the BC but I've never had these issues before. My vagina is CONSTANTLY itchy and dry and there is always a crazy amount of thick white discharge. Originally I thought it could've been a yeast infection or even PID but literally nothing has worked and it's been about two months. Also sex is extremely painful. Let me add that my skin is the best it's ever been since starting this brand. Nice skin does not make up for all of the other bad things that are happening because of this pill though."

For Birth Control "This pill actually made me depressed and anxious and nauseous to the point where I couldn't function. I took it for two years when I was first prescribed it because I never actually associated the symptoms to the pill until one day I brought up how I was nauseous all the time to my doctor and she recommended me switching pills. Once I got off this pill, I immediately felt happier and less anxious. It did prevent pregnancy, but literally whenever I would take even the tiniest drink of any kind of alcohol I'd be nauseous for the rest of the night. I recently took this pill again for a few days and these symptoms immediately returned. Never touching it again."

For Birth Control "I started taking pill form of birth control at the age of 16 and stopped at 23 when I experienced a pulmonary embolism in my lung due to this drug that almost killed me. On top of the blood clot, I had severe acute necrotizing pneumonia (which I believe I contracted due to the dead lung tissue from the blood clot.) I was in the best shape of my life in terms of fitness: a muay thai martial artist and a recreational body building weightlifter. My fitness & my youth saved my life. I was the sickest patient in the ICU stepdown. I still have PTSD. Think twice if you want to take this birth control. There are much safer options (such as Mirena IUD that I am now on). My gyno also had me on years of premarin which I had stopped taking months prior to my blood clot. Regardless of the premarin boosting my chances, it is still not worth the risk by taking this drug. Avoid taking this at all costs and use a safer birth control option that is non-systemic. It’s rare until it happens to you."

For Birth Control "hey yall, for reference I am 18 years old, and this would be my first ever birth control. I looked up reviews and am imminently terrified to start the pack. I actually did not start the pack until two weeks ago because of the reviews I've read on here. I did have a talk with my boyfriend and he reassured me that if I keep thinking negatively about it, then I will have a negative outcome, so I started the pack two weeks ago. On the first day of taking the pill, I felt extremely nauseous but it went away a couple of hours later and this is common for people starting birth control so I had no worries. So far the only side effects I've had is that I've realized that I'm eating more (increased appetite) which I didn't mind because I've started going to the gym, I've also had a higher sex drive. overall definitely try this birth control!! Everyone and every body is different and you never know!"

For Birth Control "What a HORRIBLE medication!!! I started taking this pill after my 2nd baby I noticed mood swings but I thought it was just my hormones after having a baby but it got worse, after a month of been on this pill I was either angry or sad all the time, very unhappy I refused to believe that it could be depression but i started to find my self crying in my room alone, anxious just not feeling myself. That is not all I thought I had some kind of stomach virus for a moth and it wasn't going away, nauseous, vomiting, dizziness and severe headache. It felt like stroke waiting to happen. DO NOT TAKE THIS PILL!!!"

For Birth Control "PLEASE LISTEN TO THESE REVIEWS! THE WORST BC PILL EVER. I'm 18 and was getting terrible migraines so my doctor prescribed this pill in order to help with them. The pill did help with them but that is about the extent to which these pills did something good for me. The first 2 months of taking these pills I experienced Nausea EVERY morning. I also started experiencing actual panic attacks which I had never had before. The first 3 months I didn't experience a weight gain so I thought I lucked out but nope.. In about 3 weeks I gained over 8 lbs without a change in my diet or life style. For the past month I have been eating healthier and exercising to try and shed the lbs but nothing seems to work. I am also bloated all of the time. My anxiety and depression have been crazy lately and I just do not feel like myself. Tomorrow is my last day on this pill and I could not be happier. Please do not take this pill."

For Ovarian Cysts "This is a TERRIBLE pill! I was on Mononessa for years, mainly to balance issues related to PCOS- depression, anxiety, irregular bleeding, excess hair. All was going OK- better when I ate right and exercise regularly, then suddenly no pharmacies near me would stock Mononessa, and they switched me to Estarylla claiming it was exactly the same pill. I spoke with my doctor and nurses, and they assured me it was the same. They are NOT the same. I've been on Estarylla for 3 months, and have never in my life had panic attacks and depressive episodes like this. I've had spotting between periods, and my libido is dead. Makes you wonder who's making $$$ off this pill- because after reading other reviews it sure as hell isn't helping anyone."

For Birth Control "I am a 35 yr. old mom of 2. My Dr. put me on this to help with severe period cramps and possible endometriosis diagnosis. I've only been on birth control prior to my kids (husband is fixed now) who are now 9 and 11. Been on this for one month and I've gained 6 lbs! Mind you, I am normally very active (I teach cycle class 5 days a week) and eat healthy, but this the weight gain is crazy! Also, I have had weird tingling feelings, and have been supper unmotivated to do anything! I though I had a weird flu, because I could not figure out where all my energy went?! Stopping immediately, hopefully I'll find better relief with another pill. Thanks for all the reviews! I know everyone reacts differently but it's comforting to know I'm not alone."

I had no option but to switch. My mood swings are awful, I am constantly angry, it makes me sick, makes my whole body tingle.. DO NOT TAKE THIS! I will be calling my doctor to get off this pill..I refuse to finish the month it seems to only be getting worse. So once again... Do not take these tablets"
