For Endometriosis "So I’ve been reading through this site and I’ve seen A LOT of negative reviews on Estarylla birth control, and I think it’s important to note that everyone responds to medicine differently. However I have been taking Estarylla for about a month now and I have had almost no problems. My gyno recommended I try this BC to relieve my pain from my endometriosis and so far it’s worked great. I don’t really cramp anymore, my cystic acne has cleared up, and it hasn’t affected my moods at all. It doesn’t even affect the meds I take for my PTSD and Severe Panic Disorder. The downsides to this BC are the insomnia and the first period I had was heavier than normal. Anyways I hope someone finds this review helpful in their research, but ALWAYS TALK TO YOUR DOCTOR BEFORE STARTING ANY NEW MEDICATION OF ANY KIND. Best of luck loves!"

For Abnormal Uterine Bleeding "I started this birth control 3 weeks ago & I have been bleeding EVERY SINGLE DAY since! My mood swings are horrible, lets just say I'M DONE! I refuse to wait it out, switching to another method asap! Would not recommend!"

For Abnormal Uterine Bleeding "This has been the worst experience! I am 39 and just got put on birth control for the first time due to PCOS. I took Junel for 3 months with no major side effects other than almost constant bleeding so I was switched to this to control the bleeding. I’ve taken this for one week and can’t get out of bed. I’m getting hot flashes/chills and very nauseous. I have no appetite and thinking about food make me gag. I’ve alternated between constipation and diarrhea. My anxiety is through the roof and it takes effort to leave my house. I get dizzy/shaky and feel faint every day and my heart is racing. I am going to stop taking this and hope I can get back to normal."

For Birth Control "This birth control put me in the hospital. A month in, i was continuously projectile vomiting, bloating, constipation AND diarrhea, extremely dehydrated, and the most intense stomach pains I have ever felt in my life. I have switched to Junel Fe and still have symptoms in my stomach. Birth control ruined my life."

For Birth Control "Everybody, EVERYBODY reacts differently to medications, especially birth control! I read all of these negative comments and popped the first pill and I’m still breathing y’all! I’m on week 3 and my face is SO CLEAR. and it’s literally like glowing lol. I suffer from mild depression and this doesn’t touch it. Not pregnant, didn’t gain weight, sleeping ok lol. I love this pill. You never know how you will react to a medication until you try it (with the permission of your doctor.) if you don’t like it- great, then be responsible , throw it out and use a backup birth control like condoms and spermicide until you get into the doctors office. :)"

For Acne "I started this pill barely a month ago (I get my period next week so I'm keeping my fingers crossed), but I love it. I read so many terrible reviews before I started it and I was super anxious, but now that I've been taking it I actually like it more than the Mononessa that I had been on. I lost the weight that I gained from the monoessa, my skin stopped breaking out aside from a few pimples here and there, and it doesn't make me nauseous like Monoessa did. I used to have cystic acne around my jawline and sometimes on my cheeks and I've gotten 1-2 since starting but they went away in literally a day's time. I was honestly amazed. I'm a pharmacy tech so I knew it wouldn't be much of a change but I didn't think it would be this much better!! If you're unsure about it, give it a chance just because everyone's bodies are different. You could be one of the few like me that it works miracles on. :)"

For Abnormal Uterine Bleeding "Well, I am really glad I came on here to see I wasn't the only one with the experiences I have been having. So, I decided to add my comments in as I was trying to use Estarylla for abnormal bleeding. I initially would pretty much bleed weeks out of the month, granted some weeks lighter than others, so the doctor recommended this brand. It was not effective for my problem (actually bleeding more) and the side effects it gave me scared me. I became severely depressed, crazy mood swings, sex drive dived down to zero, and weight gain. I am 42 years old, unsure if age is a factor with this birth control pill but...."

For Birth Control "I'm a 19 year old girl who after a pregnancy scare, decided to go on birth control. I was nervous getting back on it since I was on B-Yaz before and it was horrible for me. I got on this in late March and I haven't had much issue at all. I have diagnosed depression and anxiety, and haven't had an issue with it getting any worse. I have gained a little weight, but it's probably my eating habits and not the pill. My periods are one day of spotting, two regular days (only have to change my pad every 8 hours really) and another 2 days where I just wear a liner. My husband and I have been having completely unprotected sex except for the pill since, and have had no issues with the protection. Cramps are almost non-existent. Been great."

For Acne "The first two months of use, I broke out bad. I read reviews that said this might happen as it's balancing everything out. I stuck with it. 14 months in and I'm a happy girl. Little to no cramping (used to be quite severe) 3-4 days of light bleeding and my skin is so happy! Occasionally get a pimple or two but absolutely no more cystic acne! My moods are balanced and haven't experienced weight gain. I didn't experience any nausea or abnormal pain. I'm 37 and this is the right pill for me."

For Birth Control "This is the first birth control pill I’ve ever been on and I was a little scared when I read the reviews on Estarylla. Now I’m on month 6 and everything stayed normal or improved. My weight did not change at all that I am aware of, might be since I do workout 5x a week and/or have a “balanced” diet. At times I notice that my boobs might be a lil bigger than usual, but I believe it may be part of natural “pmsing”. My periods got so much lighter, usually last 4-5 days at most and only the first day is a heavier flow. No cramps like I used to experience and no mood swings either. I only get very small spots of acne a week before my period but other than that my skin is clear all month! Haven’t had pregnancy scares either. "

For Birth Control "Unlike a lot of the reviews on here, I had a positive experience with Estarylla. I have been on 2 diff. pills before my pharmacy switched me to Estarylla. Some background on my experience with birth control pills, the first pill I was on was terrible. I gained 10lbs in 2.5 months, had breakthrough bleeding all the time even if I was taking my pill at the same time everyday, & felt like a different person with zero emotion. The second pill I was on (Sprintec) was better but still not great. Looking back, my major side effects on Sprintec were irritability/moody, fatigue, & some breakthrough bleeding. My pharmacy switched my prescription from Sprintec to Estarylla. To my surprise, this is my favorite of the three pills. My PMS moodiness/irritability was gone, I have experienced no breakthrough bleeding even if I take a pill late, & I feel great. Don’t be afraid of negative reviews when trying birth control pills because you’ll never know how your body will respond until you take it."

For Birth Control " In April of 2019, I started Norethindrone. I experienced bleeding almost every two weeks, so I asked my doctor what I should do. She changed me to Estarylla in September. Within two months, my periods were regular again. Like clockwork, my period starts on the Wednesday of my “period week” and usually lasts until Sunday or Monday. Also, I used to get migraines very often, and now I rarely get them. I do have to say that I take my pills in the morning at 7:30 without eating, and I do experience slight nausea around 2-3 occasionally. Other than that, I’ve had a positive response to this medicine."

For Birth Control "After years of being on this birth control I just finally figured out that it’s what’s been making me sick all this time! This pill gives me debilitating nausea and vomiting for the first couple weeks of my pack every month. This pill has major side effects compared to other birth controls. My girls will be SO sore for a whole week, I’m like an emotional roller coaster and as mentioned before the nausea and vomiting. If you’re looking to switch birth controls or are just looking at this because your insurance changed your brand, run. DO NOT TAKE THIS"

For Birth Control "I'm so glad I decided to Google this medication and found these reviews. I thought I was going NUTS! My hormones are out of control on this medication. Like others, my pharmacy switch me to Estarylla from Sprintec. I was fine on the Sprintec but on this stuff - I've had HORRIBLE mood swings, my acne is out of control, spotting, nausea, weight gain, headaches. I thought I was pregnant! I'll be switching as soon as I can."

For Birth Control "I have been on Estarylla for about a year and a few months now and I'm about to stop taking it now because it's simply too much for my mental health. The pill works wonderfully at preventing pregnancy and it cleared my acne, my breasts grew, and I did not gain weight. However, during my cycle on the pill, I get so anxious and depressed. It feels as if I have no energy or sex drive. Things that usually make me happy, I feel numb to. But, when I'm on placebo week - wow, I feel amazing. I feel free. Obviously, everyone is different but personally, I feel horrible (mentally) while I'm on it."

For Abnormal Uterine Bleeding "This was THE WORST birth control I have ever taken. I was previously on MonoNessa which I loved, but then was switched to this generic. I never had an issue with abnormal bleeding (been on MonoNessa about 6 years) and am on an SSRI so my mood is pretty stabilized. However, about 5 months into this generic I had the worst month of my life. I bled CLOTS of blood for a month straight and had to go to the doctor. Additionally, I felt so depressed all the time and had suicidal thoughts almost daily, even when taking my SSRI. I recently switched to a new birth control and feel 100X better. This birth control was awful. Would not recommend for anyone."

For Abnormal Uterine Bleeding "I went to go get my regular BC from my pharmacy about three months ago when I saw they put me on Estarylla. My periods now last longer than 2 weeks instead of the normal 5 days I am used to. Ladies trust me its not just you. PLEASE DO NOT TAKE THIS PILL WHATEVER YOU DO!"

For Birth Control "Estarylla is the first brand of birth control I tried and I'm finally changing my bc pills nows. I hate the way these pills made me feel. At first I didn't realize what's going on with me, I was thinking I'm going crazy in my own head. Severe mood swings, I felt depressed all the time. My anxiety got WAYY worse. I'm finally getting off these pills. Good part is my period got regular and my cramps are not as bad but I can't do Estarylla anymore. I do not recommend this brand to any girl, If you want to stay happy and enjoy your life."

For Abnormal Uterine Bleeding "My whole life I’ve had irregular periods and without having some guidance, I didn’t seek medical help until now because I had abnormal bleeding (I bled for 2 months straight). My doctor told me to take Estarylla for the next 3 months to see how it would effect my flow. Once I started taking it, it immediately helped slow down and stop my flow. 2 weeks later, my period came back but I expected it to because the birth control is to regulate my period. I had my period for way longer than I’ve ever had it (typically have it for 5 days and then I’m good but this time it lasted a week and a half). Then I got a 4 day break and my period came back AGAIN. Called my doctor to ask what to do and all I was told was this is normal. This medication also gives really bad gas and stomach pains, acne and mood swings. DO NOT RECOMMEND TAKING."

For Birth Control "First birth control I have ever tried and I love it so far. I've been on it for a few months. I noticed on here it has a lot of negative reviews, like people say everyone's body is different. Just as insight I'm 19 years old and around 155 pounds. This birth control did not make me gain or lose weight. I noticed I haven't gotten as much acne since I started. My skin is almost completely clear. The only negative side effect that I really noticed and that my bf noticed as well is that I've gotten more irritable and emotional around the days I'm about to get my period, something that didn't happen to me before. Honestly this isn't a terrible side effect for me personally it's extremely bearable. I would definitely recommend this pill"

It has dried my skin especially my hands and around my mouth, I have been spotting this whole time, & it has caused BAD mood swings. I have gone into deep depression, had really dark thoughts, my attitude has been horrible especially my emotions I’ll cry after having a moment of dark thoughts & it’s just a cycle. I have lost my appetite. The medicine have given me a yeast infection as well. Everybody body is different but I do not recommend this medication."

For Acne "So, I started Estarylla in May 2020. Previously, I had switched my insurance and did not get a new script to continue what I was taking, which was Blisovi Fe. So I had a lapse of birth control from Jan-May. I wanted to try something that would help my cystic acne. I started this and I'm a wreck. I'm breaking out worse than I did in high school and I'm 26. That's not even the worst of my symptoms. I'm miserably nauseous and having diarrhea most mornings waking up for work. Don't have much of an appetite. My boobs have just recently started hurting and becoming more sensitive. I'm losing a significant amount of hair. I know spotting can occur, but I just finished a random 2 week period and NOW getting to that spotting they talk about. Everyone's joking that I'm pregnant, I took my first pregnancy test and no, I'm not prggo.I'm irrationally emotional more than normal and just feel MISERABLE. I'm taking myself off this tomorrow."
