"Taytulla is my first birthcontrol pill that I’ve used. The first day I took it, I became VERY nauseated. The first two weeks were fine, my skin got a little better, not a lot of side effects. But then I started randomly bleeding, and it kept getting heavier and heavier. I have now been heavily bleeding for 5 days straight and there’s no sign that it’s going to stop. The cramps that go along with it have been terrible, and stopped me from being able to keep up with my usually gym routine. This pill also has made me cry nearly everyday this week, and I’m not usually an emotional person like that. This is possibly one of the worst decisions I have made to take it, and if I could give 0 stars I would. Absolutely awful side effects!"

"I have never had a single side effect and taytulla is the only birth control that I have ever used! I have been on it for over a year and a half and it works great for me!! The only thing I’ve noticed is that I haven’t really had my period the way I used to (no, I’m not pregnant :) ) but other than that, I love it!"

"After reading some pretty bad reviews on here I was pretty hesitant to try this, but after being on Mibelas for about two years I started having stomach pain and breakthrough bleeding, so my dr prescribed this. Only been on it for a month but I feel great!! Had a little cramping and spotting in between periods but nothing crazy. Everyone is different when it comes to birth control, so don’t let negative reviews stop you from trying it! It also takes your body about 3 months to really adjust to the hormones anyways. Good luck out there!"

"I actually haven’t had any problems with Taytulla. I got a 3 month sample pack from my doctor. I had the implanon for about 4 years before this with many issues. On Tatyulla my periods have been only around 4 days long which has been an amazing change. I just called to get a refill because I ran out of the samples packs and it was $323 with my insurance which I think is insane so I will be switching to a different pill that’s more affordable. But besides the price the pill worked great for me with no negative side effects."

"Went on Taytulla to help with very heavy bleeding. I’ve stopping my 3rd packet of Taytulla today. I looked so big in the pictures from one of my best friend’s weddings. Very depressing after torturing myself with wedding prep... All my life, I’ve enjoyed working out, but since starting Taytulla, I haven’t. While Taytulla cleared up my mild acne & made my period light, IT IS NOT WORTH IT for me to continue on this. Light bleeding for 1/2 the month, constantly feeling hungry, limiting diet to veggies to try to unsuccessfully fit into clothes, depression, no longer enjoying lifelong activities = LIVING IN A HIDEOUS STATE OF MIND... Taytulla was not right for me. Everyone’s different..."

"I got put on this pill because Minastrin took away it's discount card and gave it to Taytulla I gave it four months and it was horrible. I know that all pills have side effects and I'm pretty good about putting up with whatever they are. But this has been the worst. The mood swings, depression and fatigue are INTENSE. I'm a generally happy person, very motivated and have no history of depression. This pill made me want to give up on life. I'm going back to Minastrin and paying full price just to be able to be back to somewhat normal."

"STAY AWAY!!! SAVE YOURSELF. After taking this BC I began to experience depression & anxiety, then I began to bleed for 10 + days. This then caused me to stress even more because bleeding for a month isn’t enjoyable so my mood decreased even more. Due to this BC I’ve had to be prescribed anxiety & depression meds & was referred to a counsellor. I’d honestly rather be pregnant than deal with constant bleeding & mental health issues."

"I have been on Taytulla for 3 months and have had my period since I started taking the pill. (That’s a fourth of the year!) I have had cramps the entire time as well. About 2 years ago I was on Taytulla and had no problems up until the last month of taking it. I had terrible mood swings and awful cramps. So my doctor recommended I try it again and have had awful results. I do not recommend this form of birth control."

"This pill was nightmarish. My doctor recommended it to me, and it made me a crazy person. Panic attacks daily, self harm, depression, dark thoughts. I’ve never been like that, and I haven’t been like that since I got off. It seems like other people had similar experiences. Onto the next pill, I suppose."

"I had been taking Taytulla for almost 2 years. Since previous birth control had given me lots of stomach problems and Taytulla seemed to lessen them although they were still there. I take Taytulla consistently so I do not get a period, this was recommended by my doctor and is completely safe. However within the past 6 months my sex drive has not only been low but I have experienced extreme pain with sex, come to find out the pill was not fully stopping my periods correctly and actually caused me to grow a few cysts that have had complications. Ever since discovering this and really looking into the past few months I have realized the pill has done nothing but make my life miserable. I have lost hair, had 13 day long break through bleeding, and my depression and anxiety has been the worst it has ever been. Each pill has different effects for everyone but this was my experience and after the recent recall of this product I do not feel it has worked properly."

"I have been on taytulla for 6 months now and it has made me extremely depressed. I started feeling these symptoms 3 months in but decided to give it some time before cutting it off. I barely leave my house anymore, I never hang out with my friends, I am always sad, nervous, tired, and anxious. I have trouble gaining motivation to attend school. Overall, it has just made me extremely depressed and this will be the last packet I take of it. It has done a great job at preventing pregnancy, but the emotional distress just isn't worth it anymore."

"After years of mirena I switched to this pill. I had been on the pill when I was younger and had mild side effects initially, but this pill is the worst. I've been taking it for almost 2 months and have missed 3 days of work from being so sick. I've actually lost weight from the constant nauseousness and occasional vomiting. Also headaches, boobs hurt, mood swings, no energy, little sex drive. I finally called my dr and we're switching to another pill. Based on other reviews, it sounds like my experience in not uncommon. My boyfriend finally convinced me to get off this pill and said he just wants his girlfriend back."

"This is the worse birth control I have ever used. I used Taytulla for 5 months. At first, my skin cleared up my periods were light, and my hormones were under control. Then I had migraines, constant headaches nauseous and my hormones changed. I had really dark thoughts, depression and anxiety and severe mood swings. Sex drive went way down. Then really painful sex. I did research on Taytulla and saw similar experiences. After 5 months of taking it I stopped and my symptoms improved days after stopping. Except painful sex. I went to my ob/gyn and was diagnosed with lichen sclerosis This is an autoimmune disease that can be triggered later in life and can be triggered by high levels of hormones. There is no cure and only treatments that can be used to help reduce the pain while having sex. DO NOT USE Taytulla. Get your partner to use condoms. Women shouldn’t deal with this. My husband now where’s condoms, and I will never use birth control ever again in my life."

"Y'ALL!!! So I had the worst experience with BC a few years back and haven't been on one since because I was so scared. I decided to give it another try years later and my doctor prescribed me Taytulla. This BC is a life changer! Completely cleared up my acne, no mental side effects (this was a big one for me), no weight gain. I mean this stuff truly is the best. At the beginning, my periods were VERY irregular but started regulating itself at pack 3. SADLY my insurance doesn't cover it any more so I will be switching but I am SO sad about it and if you are scared to try birth control again like me, this is a good place to start!"

"I've been on Taytulla for 3 months now after my pharmacy told me Minastrin 24 is being discontinued. I had a smooth transition from Minastrin to Taytulla, meaning no break through bleeding, but my actual periods have been a lot heavier and my cramps a lot worse on Taytulla. In addition, I've experienced periodic breast tenderness and am sometimes overly sensitive. I have also gained five pounds after starting this pill (105 lbs to 110 lbs). I'm sure no one else can notice the change in weight, but I certainly do when my shorts no longer fit me. I am going to give it one more month and then will consider switching to another generic of Minastrin."

"I literally hate this birth control. It gave me horrible stomach bloating and made my sex drive completely shut off. The absolute worst thing was that I kept getting yeast infections. I had 15 infections in a time span of 1 year. I couldn’t figure out what was wrong w me so finally stopped taking this BC and I haven't had one since. Avoid this BC at all costs."

"I have been using taytulla for just over 6 months. It is by far the best experience I have had so far using birthday control. Other birth control left me with a wide range of emotions and random crying, I consulted my obgyn and she recommended taytulla, which has a lower estrogen level. I feel like a happier person, and my emotions are much more stable! The only side effect I have experienced was weight gain, I live a very active lifestyle and gained about 7lbs."

"I am 39 years old and was put on taytulla by my OB/GYN to regulate my cycle & stop breakthrough bleeding. I have had breakthrough bleeding for years with no answers. I've been taking taytulla for 2 weeks now and stopped just two days ago because of unbearable lower abdomen cramping. The cramping and bleeding have been so severe that I can't even function with my regular day activities. I'm bleeding so severely with lots and lots of clots. I've never bled this much in my entire life where I'm having to change a pad every hour on the hour. Tampons can't even be used, I'm having to wear super huge pads for the heavy flow that feel like a diaper. I've developed acne in the past few days on my face. My mood has me down & depressed & I just can't shake out of it. It's only been two days with me stopping taytulla and I have not noticed any change yet. I hope I start to feel better soon as this can't be life!"

"I took Taytulla for 3 months and finished my last pack 2 weeks ago. The past 3 months I.... *have had shorter cycles but spotting in between cycles each month so shorter cycles mean nothing to me if I’m just going to spot all month. *increase in headaches *NO SEX DRIVE, like at all! This is NOT normal! Especially for us newlyweds who waited"

"I am a first time birthcontrol user and I wanted a more natural pill. I have been taking Taytulla for almost a year now. The only symptoms I noticed, after I first started, was occasional nausea, headaches, and random spotting. Now I don't notice and side symptoms and I don't have a period unless I don't take Taytulla for a week. Even after missing a week, I didn't experience any side affects again. Just that my painful period came back. I'm not entirely sure that this bc doesn't affect my emotions/moods because I have had a life changing year. All in all I love not having painful cramps or periods anymore and feel safe."

"Taytulla is the first BC pill I’ve been on and I’ve had a generally positive experience (Currently 6 months) -Lost weight after starting it -Light or no periods Be aware -1st month bleed for about 10 days, but that is normal for starting bc.. didn’t happen again -experienced heightened anxiety during months 2-4, but situations in my life were actually stressful so though I think taytulla increased the anxiety I would’ve normally felt in that situation, I don’t think it caused it and it went away when my problems did."

"After being on Loestrin for 10 years my OB switched me to Taytulla in July and it’s now mid October and I have gained 20 pounds on a near perfect diet, with weight lifting and cardio 5-6 days a week with no changes to lifestyle except this awful pill. I’d rather have a period every 2 weeks than feel like this. Also have seen changes in my mood and acne which I haven’t had since I took accutane 6 years ago. 10 packs of Taytulla is now in the garbage where it belongs."

"This birth control seemed great. Started it in June to control endometriosis and had very few problems with mood etc. It completely stopped my periods. About 3.5 months after starting this pill I started having MASSIVE hair loss. Clumps of hair falling out, nothing slowing it down at all. After reading another similar review I decided to stop the the birth control pill to see if it could be the cause. Within 3 days of stopping the BCP my hair loss started to dramatically slow. I had a lot of hair to begin with, I've lost probably 40 percent of my hair. Would really suggest trying another pill."
