For Birth Control "I have been using Generess Fe for about 10 months. The first few months I had breast tenderness, but that went away. I may have had some weight gain, maybe about 5 pounds, but they may be just from unhealthy eating also. I have not experienced any other bad side effects and no pregnancy. The first few months I had a normal period exactly when I should. It slowly started decreasing in length and in heaviness. Now my period is barely spotting, not even enough to wear a pad. It's easy to use since it's chewable, tastes like mint. So for people that have trouble swallowing pills, this is great. It can be swallowed whole as well. I haven't used any other birth control before, but this has worked really well for me."

For Birth Control "For anyone reading reviews and unfamiliar with birth control, you must understand that one must be on a pill for 3 months for the body to get used to new hormones. The first 2-3 months is typically rough on any pill. For me, that manifested itself in painful acne deep under my skin on my chin for 2 months on any new pill. I hated it! After 2-3 months on a pill, it would only occur during my period week. I've used Generess Fe for a year. I tried numerous other pills and Nuvaring. After 1 month on Generess Fe, I have not had any acne. I am 26, and I had those bumps since I started my period at 12. I love this pill. I cannot believe how it changed my complexion! P.S. I had 6-day periods, it's only been 1-2 days now, and very light! Love it."

For Birth Control "I must admit, after reading all the negative reviews, I was very nervous to start this pill. I switched from Loestrin 24 FE a couple of days ago because I randomly started to have a lot of spotting. Generess was the next pill my gyno recommended. I'm glad to say SO FAR SO GOOD. I've had no problems! So many women complained of headaches, severe nausea, and increased appetite, yet I have experienced NONE. What a relief! Just goes to show these pills really do affect everyone very differently! I've also noticed that I have actually been in a better mood and had an increased sex drive (which is good for me because Loestrin decreased it). Don't be scared to give it a try!"

For Birth Control "I have been on Generess for a little over a year now. I do remember my symptoms being kind of all over the place. Lasted for a good 6 months. My period was on schedule for a good 8 months with a light flow. Now it's barely anything. I do have sex regularly, and I hate that I'm still nervous every month because I don't see blood, but no pregnancies have occurred. I'm wondering if I should switch, but reading other experiences, it's kind of made me feel a little better."

For Birth Control "As a 33-year-old, well-conditioned athlete, I had missed periods for over 6 months. My body fat percentage is extremely low and probably the cause of amenorrhea. I am on the last 'active' pill now of Generess Fe and have changed no other factors in my life since starting this medication (Paleo diet, CrossFit & running). I have gained 15 pounds in the last 23 days and have never felt more uncomfortable in my own skin. I have taken birth control in the past and never had such an awful experience with side effects."

For Birth Control "Generess Fe made me gain 10 lbs in 2 weeks! I had cravings all the time, and I was always tired. All I could do is sleep and eat. My body retained so much water around the stomach and thigh area that I couldn't look at myself in the mirror without getting depressed! Overall, it was a HORRIBLE experience, I stopped taking it after 3 weeks. My OBGYN said I should have stuck with it for at least 3 months before stopping, but I didn't want the 10 pounds to turn into 30 or 50."

For Birth Control "Was on various birth control pills, the last one being Loestrin. Very moody, 15 lb. weight gain, acne (I NEVER break out). I've been on Generess for about 4 months, and it has been great. I actually LOST weight, my skin is back to being clear, and my mood swings are very mild. Besides mild breakthrough spotting at times, I have been very pleased with the results of this birth control."

For Birth Control "After being on four different types of birth control pills in 3 1/2 years and having HORRIBLE side effects ranging from acne, hair falling out, spotting for months, to anxiety, to stroke-like symptoms and going to the ER, my OBGYN suggested Generess Fe. I LOVE this pill! No side effects at all, other than my breasts have gone from a 34C to a very full 34D! No weight gain (other than in my chest), nausea, headaches, no 'foggy' feeling at all. These pills are easy to take, pleasant tasting, and the light, 2-3 day periods are an awesome bonus! I am so happy to have found a birth control pill that works for me and doesn't have nasty side effects. I highly recommend this form of birth control!"

For Birth Control "I've been on this for almost 3 months now, it's the first birth control pill I've taken. My periods are crazy short, only about 3-4 days, and it's very light bleeding. I don't have cramps, but I am VERY moody. I cry and get mad over insignificant things. My breasts have swollen a little bit. It hasn't affected my weight much at all. One thing I don't like is the mint flavor. After two months, it gets really annoying, and it starts to taste bad. The first day I took it, I got nauseous, but that was it. I've also experienced an increased sex drive, not decreased."

For Birth Control "I am 44 years old. Two years ago, I had cancer, and after the chemo, my periods started getting really irregular. Then, about a year after I finished the chemo, the horrible hot flashes started. My doctor did some blood tests and explained that my body was going into an early menopause. We discussed my options, and I told her I wanted a birth control pill rather than a hormone patch. She put me on a few different birth control pills to help with the pre-menopausal symptoms, and the Generess Fe seems to work the best. No hot flashes at all! I was literally crawling into the freezer every hour before this pill, and now I am fine. My skin is better too. I'm not breaking out as much anymore."

For Birth Control "I've been on this pill almost 2 years. I gained maybe 5 pounds, but I am also in a happy relationship, so weight gain could be from that. I no longer have a period. I may get brown spotting every 4-5 months. I stopped chewing the nasty thing, and I swallow it. I get migraines if I take placebos, so I skip those every other month and go to a new packet. Cleared my acne, no pain, my breasts actually got bigger. I am very happy with this pill. No pregnancies! I never take it on time, and I skip it. I'm your typical user. I also don't worry about becoming pregnant since I don't build a lining. Love this pill."

For Birth Control "I went on this birth control a few months before I got married and have been on it for two years. I just finished my last pack, as we want to start a family soon. I had hormonal issues that led to irregular periods, and this birth control helped level them out. I have not had any emotional swings or weight gain. It was a great, low-dose birth control and successfully prevented us from having kids for two years. The only negative side effect I had was that it did slow down my libido. I could tell a definite difference in my interest in sex on and off this pill. This wasn't extreme - it just took more work to get me in the mood. I'm very pleased with this product and will probably return if the need arises for me to use birth control again."

For Birth Control "I have been taking Generess Fe for almost a year now. I was on Sprintec before, and my periods were somewhat irregular and very heavy, so heavy that it worried me. With Generess, my periods have gone away completely. This worried me at first (of course), but my doctor said for some women, it's normal not to get your period on this pill. I see the same symptoms of PMS when I'm reaching the placebo pills (emotions are high, sometimes acne, the normal stuff), but I never go through a period at all anymore. This is a welcome change for me. Aside from that, I have no side effects that I have noticed. I'm very happy on this pill. I am 30, somewhat overweight and in generally normal health. My doctor said swallowing it is fine (not chewing)."

For Birth Control "I've been on Generess Fe for roughly 5 months, and I'm still experiencing bad nausea. I have also noticed weight gain (probably around 10-15 lbs within the first couple of weeks), my breasts are constantly tender, and I'm depressed and tired much of the time. I have an appointment to switch my birth control."

For Birth Control "I have had nothing but a great experience on this pill. I've been on it for over two years now. I've gained no weight, my chest is a little fuller, but I didn't have to buy new bras. And, best of all, most months I don't have a period, but if I do, it lasts for a day or two, and I only need a light tampon. The negative is the cost, but if you go on the Generess FE website, you can print out a card so your pills only cost $25/month. I highly recommend it!"

For Birth Control "Seriously, is this pill a joke? Screw Generess FE. I'm about to enter my 4th week, and I've never been more miserable in my life. Let me start by saying that no pill just magically makes you gain weight, it's the increase in appetite that makes you gain weight. I'm freaking starving ALL the time, no matter how full I am. I'm EXTREMELY tired. I have done nothing all week except go to work, eat, and sleep. I'm a totally different person. My boobs hurt, and I had a huge fight with my new husband. Would rather have sex never again than feel like this any longer."

For Birth Control "I have been taking this pill for 5 months to even out my hormones. It took my body only one week to adjust to the pill, which I don't think is bad. My period lasts from 2 to 3 days, very, very light, no cramps. I do get hungrier before the cycle, otherwise, I try to watch what I eat. To all the ladies, everyone's body will react differently to the pill. The main point is that you have to find the pill that will not affect you in any way. Generess Fe is not a bad pill, it's just that for some people it works, for some it doesn't. I honestly don't have any problems with the pill, I feel great. Before the pill, I was depressed, stressed. This helped me get rid of stress, anxiety, and depression."

For Birth Control "I only took this medication for two weeks and had to stop. Right away, I noticed moodiness and depression worse than anything I've ever taken. Had a very heavy and long period with cramps and nausea. After the period stopped, three days later, started bleeding heavily again."

For Birth Control "Just finished the first pack. I have constant mild stomach upset so that I can't eat much and have loose stools. Despite this, I've lost only a little weight - tummy still seems bloated. I expect this will clear up in a couple of months. Bonus - cleared up my skin. ? - no period the first month. Caution: What worries me is that it seems to have caused pretty serious depression for me. I tend to be a bit on the sad side if I don't watch it, but this was bad. I want to try to stick with it, but the depression feels horrible, so if next month is this bad, I don't know if I can continue."

For Birth Control "I love this birth control. It's the only one I've been on, so I can't compare it to others, but I've been on it for about 4 or 5 years. My fiancé and I don't use condoms or any other backup method, and I have never been pregnant. I didn't have any weight gain, and it cleared up acne. I love it and will stay on this until we decide to have children."

For Birth Control "Been on this for a little over a year. Experienced some moodiness and depression the first few months. Didn't feel myself. This is just what happens when the body gets used to the hormones. Periods went from painful, heavy, and 7-8 days to light, less painful, and approximately 3 days. No pregnancies or even scares. Mild weight gain (maybe 5 lbs - probably just normal from eating anyway). No problems with acne. Does what it should - prevents pregnancy and lightens periods/makes them less painful. Chewable and decent tasting as well."

For Birth Control "This pill is great! Easy to take and has a nice minty flavor. The only side effect I've had is light spotting here and there, but it's a very, very minor inconvenience compared to all the positive things. I've experienced no weight gain or acne, or anything like that. My periods are light, which is great. Still have cramps sometimes, but they're not as bad as they used to be. Sometimes I miss my period, but it's completely normal while on this pill. Had a chat with my doctor about it. And best of all, I'm not pregnant! I would recommend this to anyone, whether you are using it as birth control or to help improve your periods. Details about me: 20 years old, no children, non-smoker. I also have PCOS, and it's definitely helped my symptoms."

For Birth Control "I'm coming up on 5 months of taking Generess Fe. The first 3 months were kind of tough. I had breakouts and lots of extra anxiety/emotional sensitivity. I never gained weight - I've actually lost 10 pounds, and my boobs feel fuller. My sex drive was always very high even before birth control, and that certainly hasn't changed. After the first three months, it was like somebody flipped a switch and I felt like my normal self again. Moods were regulated, skin was clear. The only thing I do still notice is that I usually either don't have a period, or I have one that's so light that I can't even use a tampon. If it happens, it's usually brown, and it only lasts 2-3 days. This is hard for me to get used to, but I'm starting to really enjoy it!!"

For Birth Control "I have been on Generess FE for about 5 months. This is after having my first child, and so far, it's pretty good. My periods have become very light (almost just spotting) and short (2 days on average), and not enough for a tampon, just a light pad is needed. I have noticed some nausea, but it's also flu season! Overall, it's a good pill with minimal side effects."

For Birth Control "I've tried several different birth control brands since I was 18 (I'm 25 now; taking it to prevent pregnancy), and Generess has been my favorite! I used to suffer from migraines, horrible acne, and cysts in my breasts because most estrogen/hormone levels were too high in other pills, but Generess is so low that it has solved all those issues. I noticed a little nausea at first. I've been on the pill for 6 months or so. I did notice a small weight gain - 5 lbs is all. I'm writing this because, for the first time since I've been using Generess, I BARELY had a period this past month, and it kind of scared me. But now, reading about the pill and other women's experiences, I'm realizing that this pill can make your periods almost non-existent. Phew."
