Lo Loestrin Fe (ethinyl estradiol / norethindrone) "I have been on this pill since September. Love the low dose hormone vs regular. I don’t feel moody or anxious compared to past pills but I have had a few days where I feel nauseous and can’t figure out why. Not sure if it’s the pill. No side effects except MASSIVE weight gain. My appetite is out of control and I am constantly bloated. I have put on 20+ pounds since I started and am freaking out about it. Not sure what to do, I don’t want to keep gaining."

Aurovela Fe 1/20 (ethinyl estradiol / norethindrone) "Reading all the reviews about this BC made me scared to take it since it was my first time ever going on BC. I was prescribed this due to my irregular cycle and extremely heavy bleeding but I’m happy to say that my periods have gotten much lighter and the migraines/headaches I used to get before my periods have gone away. I haven’t noticed any negative side effects except a couple hormonal pimples (probably because my body was getting used to using hormones). Don’t be afraid of all the negative reviews since every one’s body reacts differently (and if anything you can just switch pills)!"

Junel Fe 1/20 (ethinyl estradiol / norethindrone) "I was originally prescribed Junel Fe 1/20 birth control due to my very painful cramps, bleeding, and after finding out I have anemia. The first month there was spotting for a couple of weeks, but then it went away. The cramps and bleeding definitely got better. This felt like a relief and I thought I was on track to making my life better. Unfortunately, halfway through my 5th month, I decided to stop taking these pills. I was experiencing very severe anxiety and depression. I normally am a pretty anxious person but I typically deal with it in my own ways. However, this was the worst of my life. I felt suicidal. I was worried about everything. I had a panic attack. I couldn't sleep well. My family and co-workers were noticing a change in my behavior and mood. It wasn't good. After I stopped taking them, a few days later I noticed I felt a lot more level-headed and less anxious. I really hope that others don't have to go through what I went through. I'm hoping this review might help someone out there."

Junel Fe 1/20 (ethinyl estradiol / norethindrone) "In the past 5 years, I have been on two different birth control pills. I decided to switch to Junel Fe because the other pill wasn’t helping with my period. This pill, however, was a huge mistake. I have been on it for a short time but it has made me extremely depressed. I have never has mental health issues in the past, and as soon as I started taking this pill I noticed huge mood swings. I cry all the time, and I am extremely emotional. I would not recommend this to anyone."

Larin Fe 1/20 (ethinyl estradiol / norethindrone) "A good friend of mine's daughter just recently died from Larin Fe side affects. She was 26 yrs old who had a bad headache, went to Insta Care who gave her migraine meds and sent her home. She had a seizure later that night, transported by ambulance to hospital. She now has a blood clot on the brain and was dehydrated. This young lady had just received two college degrees and lost her life because of this drug. doctor could only say, "it's rare, but it happens" Really?"

Junel 1/20 (ethinyl estradiol / norethindrone) "I’m so surprised by these negative reviews. I’ve been on Junel Fe 1/20mg for over 2 and a half years, I never once had a single side effect - other than my skin becoming perfect :) Everyone reacts differently to medication, but don’t let these bad reviews scare you. It’s been wonderful for me."

Lo Loestrin Fe (ethinyl estradiol / norethindrone) "I started this pill to alleviate migraines and prevent pregnancy. Overall, my experience with this pill has been wonderful from day one. I don't have any breakouts, no migraines, no weight gain, and I haven't gotten my period once in the seven months I've been on it. The downside: I'm overly emotional. I will cry over a commercial, now. And I'm paranoid all the time of being pregnant."

Blisovi Fe 1/20 (ethinyl estradiol / norethindrone) "I started this birth control 4 years ago and my side effects got worse and worse every year I was on it. I’ve never suffered from anxiety and it made me literally so miserable. Stressed every day to the point where I’d start to shake and get nervous over nothing. I never knew what was causing this. My cramps were also so bad. Pelvic pain and mood swings. I’d cry for an entire day and then be fine the next. Muscle aches as well due to my anxiety getting so bad. I also would become incredibly nauseous a few days before my cycle, sometimes I would even throw up. There was nights where I would constantly just sit in my bathroom from a panic attack. I also got aggravated incredibly easy. I got off of this pill. Please do not take this. Believe every side effect. It got worse and worse everyday I took it and I never thought it could be my pill making me this miserable. The only thing it did for me was prevent me from getting pregnant."

Blisovi 24 Fe (ethinyl estradiol / norethindrone) "I have been taking Blisovi 24 Fe for about 5 months after switching from Tri-Lo-Sprintec which made my moods crazy. Blisovi 24 Fe has been nothing but good to me. I don’t get acne, I haven’t gotten pregnant (knock on wood) and my periods have become very light and only about 2 days long. Occasionally I experience headaches and nausea but any birth control will do that to you so I don’t find it a big deal. My moods have been much better and less fluctuating overall. I guess everyone really just reacts differently to it."

Junel Fe 1/20 (ethinyl estradiol / norethindrone) "Went from getting the most awful, paralyzing cramps and heavy periods (one super plus for every 2 hours) to no cramps at all, and an almost non-existant period (2-3 light tampons per DAY). Cleared up my acne, and regulated my hormones so I no longer have mood swings or PMS, and have never once been nauseated."

Junel Fe 1/20 (ethinyl estradiol / norethindrone) "Junel Fe1/20 has been absolutely awful for me. The first few weeks I felt mostly okay, my sex drive was normal and I felt a little more emotional than normal but nothing too extreme. Then I had the most intense body aches I’d ever experienced. I was unable to move from my bed for almost a week. No position was comfortable, nothing helped, and I just cried all day. I experienced a lot of breakthrough bleeding and my breasts became incredibly sensitive and sore and have stayed like that the entire time I’ve been on the pill. The second month in I started experiencing intense panic attacks and OCD like symptoms as well as severe depression. This has lasted through the third and forth months and I haven’t gone a day without weeping or having a panic attack in two months. My appetite has been gone for about a month now too. Zero sex drive, lots of dryness. Overall it’s been absolutely awful and I would not recommend at all. I’ve never been so mentally unstable in my life."

Blisovi Fe 1/20 (ethinyl estradiol / norethindrone) "Okay so.. despite all of the negative reviews I wanted to be yet another positive review for those who are unsure whether to try this birth control or not. Here’s the thing, and you’ll hear this over and over... everyone’s bodies are different. So don’t just go by someone else’s experience! I followed this motto and for that reason I’ve actually tried this birth control and I couldn’t be happier! I mean I am pretty much on day 7 now and I haven’t felt any of the symptoms people say. Before I started this bc I was on Yasmin and then Reclipsen. Which I didn’t realize had higher doses of estrogen in them which is probably why my body didn’t like it as much. Unfortunately these gave me leg cramps and sensations in my hands :( however they might work for others! Anyways, still early days on Blisovi and I’ve been symptom free. I’ll keep y’all updated on this journey which I’m sure will be a blast x"

Hailey 24 Fe (ethinyl estradiol / norethindrone) "PART ONE: This is for someone who bases their decisions off of reviews (like my self). This is my first experience ever using the contraceptive pill. After reading numerous reviews of this product I was really scared to start Hailey. My doctor prescribed me Junel, but my providers only carry Hailey. It has now been two weeks going on three weeks of being on Hailey and using Birth Control for the first time. I am 22 years old, height 4'11 and 95 lbs. I did not experience any crazy symptoms. I wanted to put this honest review out, to ease peoples decisions. However, if you currently already use Junel or another brand I do not recommend changing your formula. But this was my first time, and feel perfectly normal. My face has remained clear. Some minor headache an hour or two after I take the pill but shortly goes away. I take it at night so I sleep it off. My boobs are a little sore now. I haven't got to the sugar pill yet so I am curious how long my period will last and how much cramps."

Blisovi 24 Fe (ethinyl estradiol / norethindrone) "I've been on this Blisovi 24 FE after Minastrin became unavailable on my insurance. Previously, I was on Loestrin 24 FE and all of these birth controls have had the same effect. I used to have extremely heavy periods without bc and now I almost don't have a period at all. Seriously no negative side effects, no weight gain, acne, etc. I'm surprised to see such negative reviews."

Lo Loestrin Fe (ethinyl estradiol / norethindrone) "Do not base your opinion off of these reviews! It is important to remember birth control works differently for everyone. I was absolutely terrified to go on any type of birth control pill because I find myself prone to side effects with these things and was already having bad anxiety. Turns out this pill completely levelled me out. I haven't experienced any negative side effects at all except for the break through bleeding (which is why I came on this site in the first place). Besides that, nothing. Try it! I feel as though my body actually really needed this, since it seems as though it's actually levelled out my anxiety."

Hailey 24 Fe (ethinyl estradiol / norethindrone) "I’ve been on this birth control I would say for about 3-4 years give or take possibly 2. I really liked it at first, it made my periods lighter and less symptoms of my period like cramps and headaches. But over the last year I’ve gotten so moody . I thought it was just me going through stuff. Even thought I didn’t wanna be with my boyfriend of 5 years any more because there’s times I wanna rip off his head, like I literally can’t stand him. But then other days it’s norma , how I’ve always felt for him . I also NEVER get my period anymore . I’ll have spotting for a day and that’s it . I also have lost all my sex drive like it doesn’t even interest me anymore unless I am drinking. I wanna get off of this BC so bad but I don’t know what to switch too . I would NOT recommend this BC . Many other side effects I haven’t included ."

Lo Loestrin Fe (ethinyl estradiol / norethindrone) "The very first day I started on this pill I went looking for reviews. To be completely honest I have no idea why I did this because it just scared the crap out of me and made me believe I was going to have some crazy side effects or symptoms. I believe most of us go out of our way to write a review when a product is negative, therefore we see all the bad. From my personal experience this pill was AH-MAZING. Firstly, I was terrified of weight gain. I already struggle to keep my weight low and suffer from a slow metabolism. I have to workout and eat healthily regularly. I have gained no weight. I've had a regular period. No break outs and no long lasting spotting. No sex drive issues. No mood swings. I have been completely unaffected :) y"

Larin Fe 1/20 (ethinyl estradiol / norethindrone) "In the beginning Larin FE was a little rough. I was nauseous 1-2 a day, Luckily I had zofran. I had acne terribly. I was moody, had random stomach pain. But that was the beginning, DON'T RATE THIS WITHIN A COUPLE WEEKS OF TAKING IT. If I went by the bad reviews of people who had only taken this a couple weeks I wouldn’t have got it. First off your body hasn’t even had time to adjust with the medicine in that amount of time. I’m halfway through my second pack and now I don’t have acne, maybe a small blemish occasionally, no weight gain yet, no more nausea, no headaches. It’s great now that my body is use to it. I bled about three days lightly the first week I started it but since then I’ve not had a period. I had spotting for one day about a week ago And usually my period is 3 days and regular flow but painful, so I don’t mind skipping it. If you try this birth control, give your body until maybe a few packs to adjust, any meds you take you have to adjust to the hormones before you know if is good for you or not."

Tarina Fe 1/20 (ethinyl estradiol / norethindrone) "I have been taking Tarina for almost two weeks and I’ve experience zero side effects. My period was shorter (only 4 days instead of 7) and lighter, I had no cramps, my acne is subsided, and I feel completely normal almost to the point where I was wondering if it was even working. I read so many terrible/scary reviews about this birth control but the few that were good kept me willing to try it. I know not everyone’s bodies are the same and I may be one of the few who have a positive experience, but I just wanted to come on here and say that I love it! hopefully someone reading this will find it worth a shot (you can always switch, but you might be like me and have no side effects!)"

Lo Loestrin Fe (ethinyl estradiol / norethindrone) "I'm starting my second month of using Lo Loestrin Fe. I tried other birth control pills at different dosages, but they would make me feel really dizzy and sick. My doctor provided me with Lo Loestrin Fe, and so far I have not felt as bad as I had before with previous birth control methods. I have felt somewhat dizzy, but it quickly goes away. The only main concern is why I have not started my period yet. I know the pill can affect your body in different ways, but I don't like that you don't know whether it's because of the pill or if you're pregnant. I have been cramping and have really tender breasts, but no period. I don't know if this is normal or not, which is why I came to look over these reviews. Looks like it really depends on the person."
