For Birth Control "So I’ve been on it for about a month, and I’ve been feeling pretty much no different. I have anxiety and depression normally, and I didn’t notice the medication making it worse or anything. I actually feel a lot happier, which is weird and totally not what I expected. My skin is clearing up too, which is a major plus. I use it for really bad period cramps, and I have noticed some spotting before my period starts, but no excruciating pain like I had before. I would literally not be able to move or walk, and now I can actually walk to the kitchen and cook myself a meal. My only negative would be I noticed it made my breasts bigger, which I wasn’t really looking for. But if that’s what you want, go crazy, I guess, lol."

For Birth Control "I was on Blisovi Fe for a little over 4 months. The first 2 months on this pill, I felt zero side effects except for light brown spotting around the week I would normally have my period and during the placebo week. Then, beginning the next 2 months, the side effects began to reveal themselves. I experienced a significantly decreased libido, no interest in my partner or sex, painful sex (during and sometimes after), mysterious pelvic pain, random nausea, mental fog, subdued emotions, an overall feeling of sadness that couldn’t be explained, and unbearable migraines on the second day of the placebo weeks, which left me immobile for the entire day. The only benefits were that it cleared up my acne and protected me against pregnancy. This pill was not for me, and I will be switching. For reference, I’m in my early 20s and weigh 132 lbs."

"Ladies, this pill, Blisovi Fe 1/20, has been the biggest, most positive life changer I've been so fortunate to have. I took it for adenomyosis. I've spent many years trying different hormone and non-hormone birth control options and had absolutely sworn off any and all hormones since I had tried pretty much everything on the market. Over the last couple of years, I've developed extremely painful periods that have kept me from functioning at all. I became open to whatever my ob/gyn wanted to try, so we tried Blisovi Fe four months ago, and not only have I been able to bypass my period completely, I have zero side effects :) Nothing at all!! No spotting, weight gain, headaches, tenderness - nada. I'm so grateful for this, you have no idea!!"

For Birth Control "I just started this pill, and it is my first time starting birth control. I've just started my first pack and have had no negative experiences with it so far. My doctor told me it will take 3 months for my body to get used to the medication, and taking the pill at the same time every day has been slightly challenging for me, but I've shifted my time to be a little later and it seems to be working better for me. During my first month, I was spotting for the first week, had bright red, more period-like bleeding the next few days, but then I stopped spotting completely by week 3. After this, when I started taking the placebos, I started to spot again, although very little. I have been used to having very heavy periods with intense cramps for the first day, but those have seemed to subside after taking this pill. My skin is clearer, with no darkening spots, and my mood during my time of the month seems to be much more pleasant."

For Birth Control "I'm currently on my second month of Blisovi 1/20. I was honestly very worried to start this birth control because of how many people were saying it had a drastic change in their mood. However, so far I haven't experienced many side effects. Sometimes I'll wake up nauseous here and there, and sometimes it'll feel like I'm having PMS symptoms. I've had severe anxiety since I was 2 years old, and I'm currently on 3 other medications for that. So far I've had no increase in anxiety or depression. I've also had very excruciating periods before taking Blisovi, to where I couldn't stand up straight or walk very much for the first day or 2. I was spotting for about a week after a few weeks of taking the pill, but ever since then I haven't actually gotten my period and have only had PMS symptoms, which is like a cakewalk compared to what I was dealing with before. I hope this helps!! (For reference, early 20s, 130 lbs)"

For Birth Control "This was my first time on birth control (Blisovi FE) and I am taking it for painful cramps. The first month I had no side effects besides a random week of spotting, which I heard was common. My period was shorter, lighter, and had limited cramping, which really saved my life. I no longer dread my period. I used to have to stay home from work because the cramps were so bad before this pill. During my second month, I had sore boobs, and that was it. I do have a bigger appetite, but no weight gain since my metabolism is pretty fast. No mood changes. This pill has worked really well for me so far as my first time on BC, but remember that everyone reacts differently :)"

For Birth Control "Obviously, with birth control pills, you need to find one that's right for you, so what's right for some might not work for everyone. That being said, don't be scared off by a lot of the negative reviews. I got on Blisovi Fe 1/20 to skip my period, and it does the job nicely. Aside from spotting in the first month, I've been period-free. I've been on another pill before, I don't remember what it was called, but I have never experienced any negative symptoms with that one or this pill either. No breakouts, no weight gain, no extra hair in odd places, and I haven't gotten pregnant either. Aside from not having a period, literally nothing has changed for me."

For Birth Control "Headaches. Back pain. Nausea. Cramps. Periods heavier and longer than without it. Heavy spotting a week or two after my period. Absolutely horrible. Ratings are 3/10 everywhere. Unsure why it's still being prescribed if so many women suffer symptoms."

For Birth Control "The first four months on this pill had me spotting for the majority of the time. I was really moody all the time and would cry over any little thing. As months went by, my periods got shorter and lighter, but I developed extreme anxiety. The anxiety turned into depression and I didn’t feel like doing anything all the time. After 8 months, I stopped this pill and I’m going to be taking Gianvi. Hopefully, I will start to feel like my normal self again, but I do not recommend taking this pill. If you start getting depressed and anxious out of nowhere, blame this pill!"

For Birth Control "I’ve been taking this birth control for about 6 months now, and this is the first birth control I’ve ever been prescribed. It has been a nightmare. I found myself to be extremely emotional and depressed, with very random mood swings. I also have spotting almost every month about 2 weeks into each pack."

For Birth Control "I've been on this BC for a little over a year now and have consistently had problems with it and never fully connected the dots until I did more research on the drug. As far as preventing pregnancy, it works great, but aside from that, it wasn't. I didn't gain weight like some people, but it's affected my personality pretty severely. I get so emotional about everything. I cry really easily and I hate being alone. I'm so clingy to my fiancé, so much that whenever I have to go home (we live separately), I cry and cry when I'm at home without him. I get angry fast and I'm constantly irritated. I also get spotting a lot. If I take the pill even a few hours late, I get my period the next day, for like 3 days, even if I continued taking the pills."

For Birth Control "I have had a shaky experience with this birth control. Positives: no weight gain, anxiety, depression, or pregnancy. Negatives: if I forget to take a pill, I will start to spot and start my period within 8-10 hours of forgetting, and my cycle will be messed up the rest of the month. I also have drastically noticed a decrease in my sex drive. Mood swings and hormonal acne are definitely still there before I start my period. I’ve given this pill 6 months, time to try something new!"

For Birth Control "I started this birth control a week ago, and the first couple of days were good besides the spotting. Now it's the 7th day, and I'm bleeding like it's my regular period when it's not supposed to be. The past 2 days, I have had really bad depression and thoughts. I have depression, but this BC is making it so much worse for me. I also have been noticing acne coming up around my jawline, which I never really got there until now. So I am stopping this BC, I was hesitant in taking it anyway because I have had bad experiences with mood swings on 2 other types as well. BC just isn't for me, I guess."

For Birth Control "I have heard a lot of bad reviews, so I thought I should share my own review. This birth control has NOT made me depressed or gain weight or make me want to eat more. The only thing I would say is that I spot a lot more, but that’s normal in any birth control within the first few months. Also, I get a little more acne than I had before, but nothing too serious, and it will probably go away when my body gets used to the new hormones."

For Birth Control "I love this Blisovi Fe birth control. Loestrin gave me horrible breast tenderness and made me gain weight. Sprintec gave me horrible exertion headaches during any strenuous physical activity, including sex. This birth control does its job. My only complaint is that I sometimes see spotting on week 2."

For Birth Control "I'm surprised by all the negative reviews for this birth control! I know everyone reacts differently to different types of birth control, but so far, my experience has been good! No increases in cramps, PMS, or acne. I have had anxiety lately, but it was probably due to outside factors (19 unit course load and boy problems). I've never taken any type of birth control before, and I was really worried about how my body would react, but so far, everything has been fine! I've had spotting, but I hear that's expected in the first three months."

For Birth Control "I’m on the 3rd month of using this birth control, and everything has been pretty good so far. My first month using Blisovi Fe, I had light spotting for about a week, but that is normal. After the first pack, I have not had any more spotting. My periods are normally short for 4-5 days without birth control, but using Blisovi Fe has made my periods even shorter (about 3 days). Also, it made my periods even lighter than normal, which is a plus. Haven’t gotten pregnant, so that’s good too!"

"I started this birth control, Blisovi Fe 1/20, to control or minimize severe PMS symptoms (pelvic pain, cramping, bladder pain, irregular bleeding, irritability, strong fatigue). Upon starting the pill after switching from another BC, I had brown spotting. This lasted a week and developed into heavier bleeding and clotting, especially at night. I bled for the entire 3 weeks of the pill pack, and it got progressively heavier. Also had bloating, cramping, irritability, terrible anxiety, mood swings, weight gain, fatigue, probably from all the bleeding. I had a full-blown panic attack in a situation where I would have typically been able to regulate my emotions. I stopped taking the pill after pack 1, and the next day I stopped bleeding. This definitely did not work for me."

For Birth Control "I have been taking this pill for exactly a month now, and I say it's great! I have very little side effects, the one I notice the most is spotting. I took the pill the first day of my period, and ever since then, I've been spotting, but that is normal and should go away in a couple of months. I have been more hungry, I'd say, but haven't noticed any weight gain, which is good. My acne hasn't been as bad as it was before, but I still get some here and there, which doesn't really bother me. And that's about it for the side effects. Also, I got my period when it says I was supposed to. I would definitely recommend."

For Birth Control "Was on Blisovi. I had been changed by my OBGYN - without telling me from Junel, which worked well for me for the last 3 years. For about 5 days before I threw it in the trash and had 3 panic attacks back to back. No history of recent struggles with anxiety or depression, but I can tell you my life literally paused on this pill for the few days I took it. The anxiety attacks felt like I was dying. Nausea was nonstop, constant need to just burst into tears, and heavy spotting. Basically, the only thing this pill did for me over the few days I took it was not allow me to get pregnant. If I can give some advice, talk with your doctor about the pros and cons before just giving it a go like I did. I learned my lesson here and won’t ever recommend this pill to anyone I know."

For Birth Control "Absolutely horrible. I was on another combination pill for about 4 months before this birth control. I was already struggling with the side effects of my previous birth control, and Blisovi Fe made it 10x worse. Extreme anxiety, paranoia, weight gain, constant spotting off and on, painful sex (which I’ve never had before this birth control), I started really despising everyone around me, random pelvic pain, constant bowel movements, and many more. I haven’t even been on this birth control for a whole month. I genuinely thought I was going crazy and couldn’t figure out why I was having problems until I realized it all matched up to me using this birth control."

For Birth Control "I had to be switched to Blisovi Fe after almost having a stroke on Loryna. My body already produces high levels of estrogen, so my doctor figured this would mitigate my symptoms. I’ve been using Blisovi Fe for almost two years, and the only symptoms I have are spotting and a little nausea—but only when I miss doses and have to double up. Otherwise, my libido and mood have been unaffected, unless you count only having four periods or so a year. Everyone’s body is different—always talk to your doctor if you’re having side effects."

For Birth Control "Awful, I used to be on Sronyx and then Levonorgestrel for a while when my gyno switched me to Blisovi (saying it would make my period more regular and shorter). It's been the worst birth control experience I've had in the 6 or 7 years I've been on birth control. It didn't really have any effect on my acne (I did notice more red spots though), but it affected my weight and emotions like CRAZY. I've been on it for 6 months with no improvement (if anything, the symptoms are getting worse). No dietary or exercise changes, and yet I keep gaining weight and getting stretch marks. I find myself constantly crying at nothing, and I've noticed circulatory changes too. I've always had bad circulation, but on this pill, I find myself with more bruises than ever before. It also made my period all out of whack. I would miss a period, have random outbursts of spotting, and, to make matters worse, I was still cramping badly. Do not recommend, but it may work for the right people."

"I took Blisovi Fe 1/20 for 3 months, and I recently decided to stop taking it. Within a month and a half after starting it, I ended up with a UTI (which I've never had before in my life). Then, 2 yeast infections, vaginal irritation that never seems to go away, plus sore breasts that burned in the nipples too, depression and mood swings (I'd be angry, then cry for no reason), plus decreased sex drive, weight gain, headaches, spotting between menstrual cycles, and heavy bleeding during it. I just can't take this pill anymore. I'd rather have ovarian cysts (which is what it was prescribed to help me with)."
