For Birth Control "I switched from a triphasic pill to Blisovi, and I have been very pleased. I have not experienced any negative side effects, such as spotting or weight gain. My period came on the third day of the placebo pill and lasted less than 3 days. My best advice is that everyone is different. I was very discouraged when I read some of these reviews, but it all turned out okay!"

For Birth Control "So happy I read these reviews! I was switched onto Blisovi after my beloved Gildess went out of production. Within the first few months, I noticed a massive weight gain (15-20 pounds) that has been impossible to get off with diet and exercise. My anxiety has been through the roof, I bloat the second I so much as look at salt, sleep is on and off, my breasts can get extremely tender, and I no longer get my period at all but experience god-awful cramping and random spotting. I also have a thyroid condition (borderline Hashimoto's), and this has mucked up my head and my mood/depression like crazy. Some days, it's impossible to get out of bed, and my energy is gone by 2 pm. I'm in my first year of marriage, and I've been a miserable fat wench thanks to Blisovi."

For Birth Control "Okay, I used to be on Lomedia, then I was put on Minestrin for some reason a few years ago, then for some UNKNOWN reason they stopped making that, so I was forced to accept Blisovi. Honestly, I think I hate this pill more than Trump. I was fine with it for the first few months (all you 'nice' reviewers need to wait a few months to really know what you're dealing with). I barely got my period at all and sometimes not at all, which was nice but also scary at first because that has never happened. I have been on birth control for over 10 years now, and this is the worst by far. I thought I was just getting older, but I have gained weight (10-15 lbs) way faster than I ever have in the past, and it's hard to get off. My moods are terrible, and I spot now."

For Birth Control "This is a HORRIBLE drug. I’ve been on it for three weeks, but today was my LAST time to take one of these pills. I will never take another one. I have experienced the following: — extreme tiredness, sluggishness, and loss of motivation — anxiety and twitchy muscles — cramps and spotting — increased hunger and weight gain despite exercising and mostly clean eating — increased time for eyes to focus — decreased libido — heart palpitations — general malaise/feelings of being unwell. Blisovi 24 FE is NOT good for your body or your mind. I am very regretful that I let myself ingest this stuff. Now I am quitting cold turkey at the end of the third week, hoping that my body will get back to normal soon. Taking this pill was a gigantic mistake."

For Birth Control "I was in Lomedia 24 FE, loved it! Well, for some unknown reason you can't find it anymore, and no one knows why! The doctor knows nothing about it being discontinued, the pharmacy just says, 'our manufacturer can't get it, but we don't know why.' Google has no answers, and I thought Google knew about EVERYTHING! They switched my prescription to this Blisovi 24 FE, it sucks! Gained weight that won't come off, but worse than that - I spot ALL the time, I may have two periods a month. I never know what to expect each day! I've been on it for a year now and have had two normal periods. The rest are heavy, last longer than they should, stop one day, and then begin again a week later - I HATE IT!!! Bring Lomedia 24 FE back - PLEASE!!!!"

For Birth Control "Was on name brand Loestrin 24 when it came out 10 years ago. Switched over to name brand Minastrin chewables since that was the replacement Loestrin. I had no issues or side effects, get my period every so often, and it would be very light. Switched insurance, and it was $425 for a pack!!! So I called my doctor asking for a generic version and was prescribed Blisovi. The ingredients are identical, but I've been on it a month and a half and have gained 6 pounds. I follow a strict low carb diet and am celiac, so I am able to maintain my weight. Despite what I eat or drink, the weight is piling on, and I have been spotting every other week. I've been on BCP for 10 years, you'd think I'd be pretty consistent."

For Birth Control "I never leave comments, but this I need to with Blisovi 24 Fe. I’ve been on this for a month, and I have to stop it. This is the only birth control I’ve ever been on, and quite frankly, I never want to take it again. I took it for heavy bleeding, and it made my period last for 2 weeks with still constant spotting. Five-pound weight gain, constantly bloated like every day. It has made me beyond emotional and anxious too. I’ve been crying over the silliest things, and I don’t feel like myself at all. I will never take this again."

For Birth Control "Been on BC since I was 16 because of ovarian cysts. Never had problems with BC. For 10+ years, enjoyed the controlled, predictable periods, and of course zero problems with cysts, and that was that. I loved being on BC (Junel, Microgestin). Took Blisovi for a few months, got two periods a month. Full-blown bleeding every other week. Stuck it out for a few months, tried to let my body adjust, finally stopped for 6 months to let my period normalize. Recently started Blisovi back up because of ovarian inflammation until I can get back to the doctor to change BC. Two weeks on it and the problems have started again already. Constant spotting. Extreme lethargy. Irritability. Anxiety. Possible hives reaction connection. Inflammation during ovulation."

For Birth Control "This is my 3rd month on BC, but recently was switched to Blisovi and am in the 3rd week of my first pack. I've started experiencing spotting today, which led me to this website. I am terrified of everyone's own experiences, and even only being 3 weeks in, I can relate a lot! Before I started, I was a very active person who loved going to the gym and working out, but lately I have not had the energy or enthusiasm to get up and go. I've found myself sleeping a lot during the day and feeling exhausted even after 10+ hours of sleep. I really didn't think anything of it, but now it makes total sense! I just picked up my next month's pack, but I'm immediately calling my doctor to change to a new one!"

For Birth Control "I have recently been on the pill for about a week now, and so far I am okay. I started taking the pill the first day of my period, which was 9/16/16, and it was supposed to end two days ago, 9/22/16, and I am still experiencing bleeding. It is light bleeding, more like spotting, so I am guessing this is breakthrough bleeding, but I was curious as to how long this will last."

For Birth Control "I have been on this birth control pill for the last 6 months, and I am completely miserable. It was originally prescribed as a generic for Loloestrin, but that simply cannot be the case. I have been chronically bloated, emotional, spotting, on top of which I am also experiencing a regular to heavy period. When I was on Lolo, I had no negative side effects, and it effectively minimized my monthly period. Ultimately, I feel really misinformed by the PA who prescribed this as a generic."

For Birth Control "I have been on this BC for a little less than a month, and I absolutely HATE it! I have gained 6 pounds for no reason, I have been spotting the entire time, I have broken out (I never get acne usually), and I am super irritable. I don’t recommend this BC at all, I will be requesting to change ASAP."

For Birth Control "This stuff is the worst. I have ovarian cysts, so this is what my gyno recommended. I have been on it for 8 months or so and had spotting between periods for several months, and now I haven’t had a period in 3 months. Sounds great, right? Not so much. I am constantly bloated and uncomfortable. My depression, insomnia, and anxiety are worse than ever, as well as my acne. I wouldn’t recommend this to my worst enemy."

For Birth Control "I was switched to this medication because every year I tend to 'outgrow' a medication and get non-stop periods. But this one was by far the worst out of the 10 I've ever been on over the past 10 years. I got acne so severe that I had to go on Accutane, and at age 28, that's really embarrassing, and my face is still covered in scars. I never had acne before this medication. Also, the cramping all month never went away, constant spotting, etc. Mood swings, bloating, crazy weight gain. And anxiety and migraines like you couldn't believe. I wouldn't give this medication to my worst enemy."

For Birth Control "I'm on continuous BC, and my pharmacy switched me to this in mid-December after I had been on Microgestin for years. I've gained 15 lbs (I'm relatively active and had not changed my diet), have acne (I'm 49 and have never had an acne problem), I've had to deal with spotting off and on - sometimes almost two full weeks of heavy spotting - and some of the worst cramps I've ever had. This is the worst! I have a doctor's appointment this week and am hoping they'll change it. Otherwise, I'll be stopping this pill immediately and just deal with having a regular irregular period!"

For Birth Control "Well, this birth control hasn't worked well for me, considering I'm pregnant. I was taking it at the same time of day EVERY day without missing any. No antibiotics or anything to interfere. I also experienced spotting for many months before it failed, and I have never spotted before. My advice is, if you think your birth control isn't working well, talk to your doctor and get on something else."

For Birth Control "This birth control is good. Although when I began it, it made me want to vomit when I saw unhealthy foods for like 3 months. Other than that, it has shortened my periods to 2 days long, and it also made them a lot lighter. It made my boobs bigger than they were, which is good because they were small. Other than that, there were no bad side effects, and I think it did its job well. I'm just forgetful, and I forgot to take it a lot, which led to spotting. But that was my own fault."

For Birth Control "Take this pill, Blisovi 24 Fe, if you want to experience weight gain, acne, depression, unexplainable sadness, and essentially having two periods a month with the amount of spotting that it causes. Please don’t take this brand of birth control."

For Birth Control "Awful! Took Microgestin for years. Pharmacy gave me this Blisovi because they were out of Microgestin and assured me this was 'the same thing.' No way! Took it for 6 weeks - cramps, spotting, nauseous, headaches, gained 5 lbs (and I hardly ate because I had no appetite!), broke out all over my chin/neck area, had my period for 10 days! Ugh. Never again."

For Birth Control "Before starting on this medication, I was on Minastrin 24 Fe and Lomedia 24 Fe. I recently switched to Blisovi 24 Fe because I was told Lomedia was on back order. Anyway, I've been on this medication for one month, and I was so scared I was going to experience the symptoms everyone else says on here. I did not have any breakouts while on Lomedia or Minastrin, and have had none with this medication. The week of my period, I did have one day of anxiety and some dizziness and light spotting, but that was only one day, and my doctor said that was normal. Overall, I will continue with this if I can't go back on Lomedia."

For Birth Control "This is the worst birth control ever. I had been on Gildess for years. Pharmacy switched me to Junel, which I had been on for a year with no change from the Gildess. Pharmacy gave me Blisovi this time, and I have been MISERABLE ever since. Terrible headaches, I can't even describe how bloated I am. I am probably two pants sizes larger in just a week of taking it. The worst part... I cannot have a bowel movement. I haven't had one since the day I started it, and I haven't had one in a week. Also have bad cramps on and off, and spotting. The pharmacy agreed to reverse the claim with my insurance company and switch me back to Junel, but they have to order it. I will be stopping this pill until I can get Junel. I can't eat because I feel like I am 100% full of... you know what."

For Birth Control "DON’T DO IT. I read the reviews here, and I thought, well, everybody is different, so I started taking it. I started spotting a week into it and cramping. Not only that, but I went CRAZY. I was mad all the time for no reason, and I would snap for everything. I started randomly getting sad to the point that I was depressed. I wasn’t myself. Don’t do it. Don’t be like me a month later regretting not listening to these reviews."

For Birth Control "I have a very mild case of PCOS, so my gyno was practically begging me to begin a birth control. That being said, I have always had very negative experiences with birth control pills and hadn’t used one in years because of that. But I thought, maybe my body has changed. STICK WITH YOUR INSTINCTS, PEOPLE! I immediately began the consistent spotting, cramping, had painful gas and bloating, and my breasts were so swollen they felt like I was breastfeeding. The acne began around week 3, what seemed completely out of nowhere, and I was covered in it. I didn’t suffer insomnia, but the moodiness and sensitivity definitely increased, as well as vaginal dryness (I am 23 and NEVER had that problem before). After the acne began, I couldn’t take it anymore, it didn’t seem worth it to put my body through it. I stopped taking the pill almost through an entire pack, and I woke up in the middle of the night after 2 days of stopping it, bleeding so much. What is this pill?!?"

For Birth Control "I am on my 4th month with this birth control. I am turning 19, and this is the first time I have used birth control, so I can't compare it to anything else. At first, I was really worried because my boobs were consistently sore. I used to be 107 lbs in August, and I am now 117 lbs. I also had anxiety and lots of stress. I thought it was just the workload, but from the other reviews, I have now learned I am not the only one suffering from stress. My periods have been lighter, before, they had been heavy, but now on this pill, I barely have a period. I was worried about this at first, but I consulted my doctor, and she said that it's common for spotting to occur in the first few months of taking the pill. I like it, though, I get less pain when on my period."

For Birth Control "4 months in and I can't complain. I am on this for PCOS. My main thing is I would recommend taking a B complex. I saw that birth control depletes B vitamins, which can cause mood swings and depression. I've taken a B complex vitamin every day along with the birth control and haven't had any mood swings. Had spotting during my second month but was expecting that while adjusting. My acne didn't get better or worse and didn't gain any weight. Always eat a little something with the pill or you'll be nauseous."
